00:00We're at the Major League Baseball All-Star break and the Mets remain the
00:05worst. Shine time starts right now.
00:13The ball hit me up, went after it and just took a hard hop and just hit me in my
00:21palm on the hand, like my palm and wrist area and just didn't make the play.
00:27Not acceptable. Is there anything you do personally during the All-Star break
00:31reset to kind of reset, for lack of a better word? Yeah, anything but this.
00:40Those, of course, the voices of Francisco Lindor and Devin Williams, who combined to
00:44blow the game for the Mets yesterday to finish off being swept at home by the
00:49Boston Red Sox and put a fitting, miserable end on the first half of the
00:552026 season. The New York Mets are 40 and 57 at the All-Star break. 40 and 57.
01:04And if you've watched them play, the only question is, how the hell did the Mets even win 40?
01:10This team is the biggest joke in baseball. There is not a squad more embarrassing than this.
01:20fourth worst record in baseball. That's bad enough. Then you take a look at the fact that the New York
01:27Mets have the second worst record in the National League. The only team with a worst record than the
01:32Mets, the Colorado Rockies. And if the Rockies fell off of planet Earth today, would anyone even know
01:38the difference? The New York Mets have the second highest payroll in the game. The year before they
01:44had the highest payroll in the game. They're not going to make the playoffs in the first two years
01:50of the Juan Soto contract. They are miserable. They are misfits. They reinvent ways to lose,
01:59to alienate their fans, to break the hearts of their incredible fans. And I think Mets fans
02:06are amazing. So smart, so passionate. They love their team. They live and die with their team.
02:13And Mets fans are just dying. Absolutely dying. To lose a game like that, it's 2-0. Ground ball hits.
02:22Double play to Francisco Lindor. And then this, he boots it. Double play. Taylor made.
02:28Devin Williams did his job. And Francisco Lindor, who has been atrocious this year,
02:35he botches it. It's unacceptable. It's also right out of central casting. Because for the New York
02:42Mets this season, what can go wrong not only goes wrong, it goes wrong in the most laughable,
02:50pathetic, embarrassing fashion. The Mets are the biggest joke in all of baseball.
02:57Devin Williams had an opportunity to close this game. And of course, Lindor let him down.
03:02There was no shot Devin Williams was going to get it done. And I know that because I watched him
03:08pitch for the Yankees. There is not a person on planet Earth who roots for the New York Yankees
03:14who wanted Devin Williams re-signed on the New York Yankees in this offseason.
03:19David Cern saw him fail and said, that's my guy. Let's bring him to Queens.
03:25Let's have him try and close games for the Mets. This team is an embarrassment. This team
03:31is a punchline. They fired the manager. The general manager has no idea what's going on.
03:37The New York Mets are in last place. I mean, just look at these standings for a second.
03:43They trail the Braves by 16 games. They trail the Marlins, the Marlins by 12.
03:54They trail Washington by eight. It's embarrassing. It's awful. It's the residue of poor design.
04:03Obviously, we've been through it in terms of Alonzo and everything that David Cerns fouled up
04:09over the course of this offseason. Easy first guesses. Back of the rotation, bringing in Devin
04:15Williams. Francisco Lindor needs to go. He needs to wave his no-trade clause. He needs to get the
04:22hell off the team. There are issues, obviously, with Lindor and Soto in the clubhouse. John Heyman,
04:28Joel Sherman, able to get that from the owner, Steve Cohen, when they had that amazing interview
04:34with him on their show, The Show, on The Post YouTube. And it was absolutely incredible.
04:41Soto's not going anywhere. And Soto is a brilliant baseball player. And if he was on a better team,
04:48Soto would be the MVP. Lindor's got to go. Was there an issue with Brandon Nimmo,
04:54and that's why they had to trade Brandon Nimmo? I'll shrug my shoulders and be the living emoji for
05:00that. Nobody knows. No one's denying it either. So the Mets need to get everything just back
05:08organized. They need to be able to put their socks on straight. This team right now is a chaotic,
05:16dysfunctional, embarrassing, haphazard, absolutely atrocious, unmitigated disaster,
05:23eyesore, gutless puke of a baseball team. That's what the Mets are. You can't watch them. They went
05:29on that 12-game losing streak earlier in the season. No team has ever made the playoffs before.
05:34I said that on our show on Shine Time. I had Mets fans, oh, we'll be fine. You're not factoring
05:41in
05:41the extra teams in the playoffs. You trail the Nationals at the All-Star break by eight games.
05:47It is sinful. And it's a fitting ending to the first half of the baseball season,
05:54watching Lindor boot that ball. He has been responsible. Lack of availability,
06:00lack of living up to his ability for so much buffoonery in the clubhouse nonsense with Soto,
06:06with Nimmo, with everybody else. Yesterday is supposed to be a feel-good win, and then you
06:11see this. This garbage. This crap. This nonsense. And here's the biggest issue. And here's the
06:18biggest problem. No one's surprised. Like, no one's looking at that in the ninth inning saying,
06:23man, you figured Lindor would make something happen that was positive. There is no, I'll channel my
06:30inner Bob Murphy here. There's no happy ending. If you're Howie Rose, you're not putting it in the
06:35books here. The New York Mets, their chapter and verse this season, joke and embarrassment.
06:43That's who they are. So you're going to have the trade deadline coming up in three weeks. And David
06:50Stearns, he was given the vote of confidence. I don't understand it. I know it takes a lot,
06:54obviously, when it comes to, you know, if you fire the president, the baseball ops, then you have to
06:59just revamp and redo everything. Listen, at the end of the day, David Stearns having at least that job
07:07security should be able to help propel him to make changes that will help the 2027 Mets. Because this
07:15team, if they don't make the playoffs next year, then it's even a bigger waste in year three for Juan
07:20Soto's contract. Lindor's got to go. Luke Weaver's got to go. Devin Williams has to go. All these guys
07:29have to go. Maybe they could trade for Pete Alonzo. What an embarrassment. The biggest joke,
07:35the biggest embarrassment in baseball, your 2026 New York Mets. On the other side of that sweep,
07:42of course, the Red Sox. Now winners of nine straight games heading into the break.
07:45They are now 46 and 48, 10 games back of Tampa, when you take a look at the AL East.
07:52But one
07:54game behind in the loss column for the last AL wildcard spot. And I always subscribe to the belief,
08:03right, that the first time you really check the standings page and react when it comes to Major
08:10League Baseball is the Tuesday after Memorial Day. And I remember what I said on the Tuesday
08:15after Memorial Day. I said that the biggest embarrassments in all of baseball was Boston,
08:21followed closely by the Mets. Things have changed. You look at Boston and you see their win-loss record.
08:28I can't tell you that they are alive and well. But what I can tell you, Boston's very much alive.
08:36Nine-game winning streak. A lot of toughness. A lot of guts. They did an excellent job surviving the
08:43awful play, the chaos, the wrong firing of Alex Cora, which made no sense. They're going to get
08:50some injured players back. That's obviously a big deal. Now, Boston will start the second half of
08:56the season with a series against Tampa Bay. Now, obviously, they're going to have Baltimore coming
09:01up, Toronto coming up. How they perform in those series within the American League East will
09:07probably dictate direction for Boston. But I counted them out. I was wrong. I'm not ready.
09:15I don't think Red Sox Nation is even ready to say alive and well, right? But they're very much alive.
09:22And look, I don't trust Craig Breslow as the general manager. I don't trust John Henry,
09:26who's completely clueless as an owner. I'm not even convinced he wants to win. I mean,
09:30we've seen that with Devers and Bregman and Mookie Betts, and we can go on and on. And even
09:35the Cora firing made absolutely no sense. But give Boston credit. They've been tough. They've been
09:41plucky. And the Boston Red Sox, at the end of the day, have a golden opportunity in this weird,
09:48wild, and historically weak American League. There's really nobody you trust in terms of
09:57making the playoffs or making a run. Why not Boston? It's kind of wild here when you look
10:03at the Red Sox and everything they've been through this year. And great job by the Red Sox. Look,
10:08if they would have finished 8-1 instead of 9-0 in their final nine going into the All-Star
10:13break,
10:13would have been great, right? Go on vacation. Go to Cape Cod. Go to Puerto Rico. You know,
10:20get away. Get out of town. Usually, you don't see hot teams like that on the road,
10:25on the last leg of a long road trip, come back in a game like that. They had the gift
10:29of playing
10:29the Mets. They took advantage of it. Red Sox baseball. I can't believe we're here. The Boston
10:36Red Sox, officially alive. It's like Jason or Freddy from the horror movies. You think they're dead?
10:42Can't quite kill them just yet. You know who could have helped the Mets avoid being swept at home
10:49this weekend against Boston? Oh, I don't know. Zach Wheeler, the guy that let walk after a strong
10:57first five seasons back in 2019. Listen, that's many general managers ago, many owners ago. That's
11:07the Wilpons, obviously. But Zach Wheeler should have been an All-Star this year. I don't think that
11:12there is any question about that, that he should have been an All-Star. You look at Zach Wheeler,
11:18you look at what he did, what he did against Detroit. Honestly, this was an incredible,
11:23brilliant, breathtaking performance. Six dominant innings, 10 strikeouts, zero earned runs. This is
11:30also known as the usual here when it comes to Zach Wheeler. Listen, Zach Wheeler, we talked about this
11:38last week, should have made the All-Star team, right? And I didn't get too worked up about it,
11:44his snub, because you always have starting pitchers who can't pitch in the All-Star game.
11:49And then they find a way to make the team based upon substitutions and guys pitch on a Sunday,
11:58can't pitch in the game on a Tuesday. But Wheeler surprised everyone this weekend,
12:04told reporters at the end of the day that he was not going to go and join the National League
12:14in Philadelphia. He had this to say, I'm not going to be the fifth option. They disrespected me.
12:21So I'm not going to participate in that thing. Once I feel like they kind of messed that up,
12:25I'm out. Guys do take a lot of pride in having the All-Star next to your name.
12:29But for someone to take that away from me, it doesn't sit the best. So I have a problem
12:41because I love Zach Wheeler. I think Zach Wheeler is the most underappreciated star
12:48in Major League Baseball. And if I was advising Zach Wheeler, what I would have said to him,
12:54screw everybody. The haters, the critics, the social media warriors, the Twitter tough guys,
13:02the Wilpon family, the Mets, anyone who didn't vote for you for the All-Star game or Cy Young for
13:10all those years. Zach Wheeler has been disrespected by everyone in Major League Baseball. Look at Zach
13:18Wheeler's numbers since he left the Mets. And I begged the Mets to re-sign him after that 2019 season.
13:25Zach Wheeler, since he joined the Philadelphia Phillies, has pitched at a Hall of Fame level.
13:33Crazy? I don't think so. Look at this board. Look at the wins. Look at the ERA. Look at this
13:40ridiculous strikeout to walk ratio. He has finished top 10 of the Cy Young four times. Zach Wheeler is a
13:51star. Not to mention the fact this year he's 10-1. And he did an unbelievable job, as we mentioned
13:57yesterday, with the six scoreless innings and the 10 strikeouts. Meaning he now has 108 strikeouts on
14:03the season. A 2-14 ERA in 15 starts. 15 starts this year. Coming off of that thoracic surgery.
14:13I think Zach Wheeler is absolutely positively phenomenal. Like, when you start talking about
14:21the handful of best pitchers in baseball, Zach Wheeler is on that list. When we picked Philadelphia
14:28before the season started to be the second best team in baseball, the second best team in the
14:32National League behind the Dodgers, Zach Wheeler was the main reason why. So when you start thinking
14:37about historical weight, making the all-star team matters. Because if you have all-star next to your
14:45name and another all-star appearance, no one's going to remember if you were a sub, if you're Zach Wheeler
14:50because you have all those great numbers attached to you later on. I also think he missed it
14:57that Tuesday night was going to be his time to shine. Because he's in Philly and everyone will be
15:04talking about him. And you tip the cap. And the fans in Philly, who are amazing, they go nuts.
15:11And he gets a thunderous ovation. And John Smoltz is doing the game on Fox. And he's breaking down. I've
15:17heard Smoltz talk about Wheeler before. Breaking down what makes Zach Wheeler elite. And everyone's
15:23focused. I know there's no other sports on on Tuesday night. In the Midsummer Classic. Everyone's
15:30locked in on Zach Wheeler. Look, Christopher Sanchez is starting the all-star game. He's
15:34obviously a Philadelphia Philly. And he deserves it. I would give him the Cy Young. So I always
15:40feel like for Wheeler, you're fighting like an uphill battle in terms of getting that attention.
15:45Look, you start playing word association of stars on the Phillies. It's Bryce Harper. It's
15:50Kyle Schwarber. They're going to be in the home run derby tonight. Sanchez is starting the all-star
15:55game. Zach Wheeler deserves to be in that category or at the top of it. I wish he would have
16:04reconsidered it. It was garbage. It was insulting. It was pathetic. It was embarrassing. The process
16:10sucks. Everything about it. Wheeler should have been on the all-star team instantly.
16:17Originally. Anyone with a brain who follows baseball knows that and understands it. But Zach Wheeler
16:23had a golden opportunity to control the narrative for himself. And he missed that. Listen.
16:32Mets fans see Zach Wheeler and they shake their head. Philly fans nod their head knowing that
16:38they have something unbelievable on the mound every fifth day. Zach Wheeler deserves all the
16:44attention and credit. This is not one of those where you ever say, man, good for him. He showed
16:49everybody. I love Zach Wheeler. I constantly defend Zach Wheeler in the court of public opinion
16:55as a true star. He's so disrespected. He should have seized that moment and instantly have the ability
17:04to be on the all-star team to go out and kick ass and take names and let everyone know
17:11Zach Wheeler
17:12is the man. You know who else is not going to be pitching in the all-star game on Tuesday?
17:18Cam Schlittler.
17:21Staff's had a lot of injuries this year, you know. So between Garrett and
17:25Max and now Carlos, just
17:27don't want to put that risk in there of just, you know,
17:30kind of letting the team down. And
17:32if I were to not recover the right way and I'm dragging a little bit, then, you know, that wouldn't
17:35benefit anyone. But again, I'm on the roster and if they need me, then, you know, I'll throw. So
17:40that's a conversation I'll have within the next day or two.
17:43When you made the decision, did you know that Cease was going to be a starter? Or did you know
17:48that after you made the decision?
17:50I found that out after. Yeah, I walked in today and I had a conversation with Booney and I thought
17:55about it. I think he was confident that I wanted to throw it in. That kind of was a game
17:59plan, but
18:01yeah, just kind of leaned, you know, away from it. But
18:04yeah, congrats to Dylan. I mean, he's been great this year. He deserves that. So
18:10yeah, that's really it. Yeah, that decision had nothing to do with my decision.
18:14Cam Schlittler is going to join the festivities, but
18:17he's unlikely to pitch. And Blue Jays and all-star manager, John Schneider, told reporters that
18:23he's going to be starting his guy.
18:26Dylan Cease, regardless of Schlittler's decision.
18:29Well, the process needs to cease and desist. Cam Schlittler should have absolutely been named
18:36the all-star starter. I don't think that there's any question about that.
18:41Dylan Cease has been a Blue Jays for a hot second. He'd be the first one to tell you
18:46that the best pitcher in the American League this year, the Cy Young favorite in Vegas is Cam Schlittler.
18:50So, this whole process is screwed. It's wrong. And as a Yankee fan, I'm kind of thrilled.
19:00Because, I mean, first of all, look at the numbers. There is no debate who has had the better season.
19:08By every measuring stick, including strikeout-to-walk ratio, Cam Schlittler is ahead of Dylan Cease.
19:17There's no argument. As a Yankee fan, I'm thrilled. Because Cam Schlittler uses anything and everything
19:25as real motivation, fake motivation. Remember, he told Meredith Marakovic from the Yes Network
19:30to play the clip on Shine Time that he was done with the haters and people said he was done
19:35after one bad start. No one on the microphone said it. No one. He's reading the Instagram replies.
19:42Guys! So, if that's going to motivate him, you think that John Schneider, the Blue Jays manager
19:48in the division, they beat him in the playoffs last year. Blue Jays beat the Yankees in the
19:52playoffs last year. You think that's not going to motivate Cam Schlittler to be even better,
19:55more dominant than he was? And please, Dylan Cease. And this is why, by the way, you always manage
20:02a team based upon who was in the World Series the year before. I mean, this guy right here is
20:07last place manager. A last place manager. I mean, if Don Mattingly, if they mess this up
20:13with the Philadelphia Phillies and don't give Donnie baseball the long-term deal, which they
20:18should in Philadelphia, bring Donnie back to manage the Toronto Blue Jays. Get John Schneider
20:24the hell out of here. I mean, please. I mean, if he says, if he's a nerve, the chutzpah, the
20:30audacity to say that Dylan Cease would have started anyway, please. That is awful, embarrassing,
20:37pathetic, amateur hour. That means the entire system needs an overhaul. And really, and I
20:46always defend Dylan Cease. Love them with the Padres. Love them in Chicago. Love how he eats
20:51innings. I'm a bit. It's 200 strikeouts every single season. I love Dylan Cease. This is not
20:58even a fair competition. And if Schlittler was going to pitch in the All-Star game, you
21:03know what America wants to see? Cam Schlittler. The young stud ace for the New York Yankees.
21:09Not someone who's won a handful of games for the last place team in Toronto. Amateur hour.
21:16But I just love that Cam Schlittler is going to use that as motivation. Yankees end the first
21:22half on a four-game winning streak. They sweep the Washington Nationals this weekend. You know,
21:28the games were weird. The results were awesome. Yankees able from the eighth inning and beyond
21:33to come back in all three games. Friday night, Jazz Chisholm, the hero. Saturday, it was Trent
21:38Grisham. Sunday, Ben Rice. Not going to sit here and go nuts. Not going to sit here. It's
21:44better to win than lose, right? Not to go all yogi on you. But I'm not going to tell you
21:48the
21:49Yankees are back. Yankees have found it. Beats the alternative in terms of going into the
21:54All-Star break on a down notes. But I just love that Cam Schlittler is going to be so damn
22:00fired up by this. This is an insult. And he's going to take it as such. And I think that
22:07Cam
22:07Schlittler is going to come out of the second half and kick ass and take names and be reminded
22:13every single day of the blatant, over-the-top, nonsensical disrespect that John Schneider showed
22:22him by saying Dylan Cease would have started the All-Star game no matter what. Let's go to the
22:28octagon. Conor McGregor had this to say before his huge comeback fight against Max Holloway
22:35at UFC 329. I can destroy Max inside 10 seconds. I have knockouts inside three seconds on my
22:46fighting record. Well, Conor McGregor's return ended with a whimper as a UFC megastar injured
22:53his right leg in the opening seconds of the fight and was forced to retire in the first round. Took
22:58like a minute, 10 seconds. Now, speculation was rampant about whether he was already injured and
23:04went out there to collect a check as opposed to ready to compete. So I listened very carefully
23:13to what Dana White had to say after Conor McGregor could not compete, tweeted this. He said it's
23:22dark. He could describe it as hell. So here's what I'm going to do. And I'm sure this won't come
23:30back and bite me at all. I believe Dana White. I believe Conor McGregor. I am one of those that
23:40Dana White was talking about after the fight where you had a hundred million people scrolling on their
23:48phones, on social, on all the different interviews and the press conferences. And nobody, myself
23:56included, looked at any of the weigh-ins, any of the walkthroughs, the walk-ins and said Conor McGregor's
24:02hurt. I don't believe he was. I think he got hurt. So now, Dana White, I'm also not naive here,
24:10has to say that because he still has to sell Conor McGregor for his next fight.
24:19I think Conor McGregor's done. He's going to fight again. He's got a contract. He obviously
24:25sells, right? But I think Conor McGregor has jumped the shark. We spent last week on Shine Time,
24:34zero minutes and zero seconds talking about Conor McGregor and this fight. We'll talk about UFC when
24:41it's applicable. Absolutely. UFC is piping hot. I don't think people care. I think people wanted
24:48to see him fight. He hasn't fought in five years, 37 years old. They wanted to see him go back
24:52in
24:52the octagon and dominate Conor McGregor at times as noteworthy, as polarizing, as sensational,
25:02as buzzworthy an athlete as we've seen in the last 10 years. I think Conor McGregor has turned into a
25:08broken-down clown. There's no reason to trust him at this stage, even if you want to, and I do,
25:18give him the benefit of the doubt and he wasn't faking it. He'll be back, but I'm not here to
25:25care.
25:26I don't trust him on anything. Now, UFC, Dana White, they've done an excellent job with their product,
25:34obviously, and there's such credibility with the sport. I don't want to turn this into what,
25:41as an example, boxing has become, where there's no credibility, which sucks. And it's sad because
25:46I used to love boxing, but that's not the case anymore. This, to me, is just an example of
25:53Conor McGregor being on the other side. And I'm just, I'm uninterested. I'm not fazed.
26:02And that's a big problem when it comes to the UFC and when it comes to Conor McGregor.
26:07Because I found myself, and I want to, again, acknowledge, Dana White had to say what he said.
26:13And I found myself sitting there, nodding in agreement. So, McGregor kind of feels like he's
26:21past his prime. McGregor kind of feels like he's a non-factor at this stage. I think the UFC has
26:28much
26:29better, more dominant, more interesting, more prominent fighters who are better and at the top
26:35of their craft right now. This, I'm unfazed by it. And I think that's the really, when you think of
26:42Conor McGregor, you love him, you load them, he moves the needle. I was unmoved by the whole week
26:50leading up, unmoved by what happened. And I'm seizing the moment now to tell you, the next time
26:57Conor McGregor fights, I also won't care. As it turned out, that might not have even been the real
27:04main event in terms of Vegas fights this weekend.
27:11It's all love. It's all love in Miami. You know, I've seen a couple of the guys and coaching staff,
27:17Chris Quinn, Spoh, you know, the front office guys. We're all good in Miami. And it's just
27:22the opportunity for both sides to reset, get a fresh start. And we're both, you know, super happy for
27:28this. That was Tyler Hero, waxing poetic about how all is well with him and his old team,
27:35the Miami Heat. The problem is this. Our guy, Sham, Sham Sharania, this tweets where, well,
27:43sounds like it would kind of scream otherwise. Now, this is a Vegas fight that I can get into here,
27:52right? Bam Adebayo, Tyler Hero. Did they get into a physical altercation? Were they going to blows?
27:59Were they punching each other? Listen, I'm gonna give you an educated guess. Bam Adebayo wanted to
28:05knock Tyler Hero on his ass. He could have and would have, right? Let's be crystal clear about that.
28:11Here's where I think boys will be boys. Tyler Hero is from Wisconsin. You think he wanted to get
28:18traded from Miami? See the picture of his house on the New York Post website that he now has put
28:23up for
28:23sale? Understand the state income tax, the beautiful sunshine, the beaches. He was an all-star.
28:31Spoh, Riles, heat culture, all of it. You think Tyler Hero wanted to be traded? Apparently,
28:38the origin of this beef was something in the Instagram comments, something that Hero said about Bam and his
28:44defense. Bam wasn't happy. You know, basically, they shook hands and it was no good. And by shook hands,
28:51I mean they probably got into a little tussle. Nothing huge. I don't think at the end of the day
28:58this was a big deal. Made for some great copy and great conversation, though. Let's be crystal clear.
29:04I just think this was very 2026 in vogue Instagram comments. You know, Hero never wanted to leave.
29:13Now, Udonis Haslam going up against Draymond Green on social media, that interests me because
29:18Draymond Green was trying to get Haslam involved. By the way, Udonis Haslam, mesmerizing on Amazon's
29:24television coverage. UD was one of the best, greatest winners, warriors, tough guys, heat culture
29:30ways in the history of that organization. So, I would love, forget about Tyler Hero and Bam Adebayo.
29:38I would love to see Udonis Haslam knock the stuffing out of Draymond Green. That's what I want to sign
29:45up for. Maybe Dana White can market that. Speaking of taking a swing, no NFL team has decided to take
29:51a
29:51swing on Stephon Diggs yet. And he has an unusual message to the league. You can't name a number too
29:57better. There's not a number two on a team. Like, that's presumably, give people the credit
30:02to just say, okay, you want to take the number one spot away. Name your number two receiver right
30:08now. Right. And tell me how much he makes. And then my last question is, is he better than me?
30:16Yeah. So, I love that rallying cry from Stephon Diggs. We're the number one, number two.
30:23Look, Stephon Diggs is not on a team because when it comes to Steph, there's always stuff.
30:32And there's a pattern here. And I say this as someone who personally likes Stephon Diggs.
30:38Friend of my radio show. I'll have him on. He was great in Minnesota. They got rid of him.
30:43Great in Buffalo. They got rid of him. Great for a year as a leader and a player in Houston.
30:49They got rid of him. Great for a year in New England. Phenomenal. Regular season, postseason.
30:55They got rid of him. They upgraded. They replaced him with A.J. Brown. There's been a lot of stuff
30:59that he's been accused of. There's been a lot of stuff that he's been cleared of. But there's a lot
31:05of stuff when it comes to Stephon Diggs. Now, he is not the number one, number two. Okay, let's start
31:14there. T. Higgins is the number one, number two. T. Higgins could be the number one receiver
31:19on most teams in the NFL. George Pickens was my opinion, and I literally vote for the
31:26AP Awards. I had him as second team All-Pro. Fourth best receiver last year in the NFL.
31:32C.D. Lamb is still the best receiver on the Dallas Cowboys. Devontae Adams, he's going to
31:37the Hall of Fame, and he is a touchdown machine. So, not to mention, you could argue, you know,
31:42Michael Pittman, you would take over him if Metcalf is your one. I don't think Pittsburgh
31:46has a true one. I think they have a couple of great number twos. You know, I happen to
31:51be a big Jordan Addison fan. We can go over Jalen Waddell, who I think is, if he's the number
31:56two on Denver, that's obviously fantastic. So, there's a lot that goes into it. Now, the numbers
32:03for Diggs at all stops, including last year, terrific. I think there's one team, and look,
32:10you could find teams in the NFL that should take a chance, right? A team like the Raiders,
32:15a team like the Giants, a team like the Kansas City Chiefs. They would all make a lot of sense
32:20here when you look at it for someone at the end of the day like Stephon Diggs. I don't think
32:26there's any question about that. But the team that comes to mind for me when it comes to Diggs
32:34absolutely is Washington. Because for Washington, when it was all said and done,
32:39they were the team that was rumored to go after Brandon Ayuk. You can't. Brandon Ayuk is a ticking
32:46time bomb. And, you know, clearly there are issues beyond football. I mean, you can't. Even though he
32:52played with James Daniels in college, Adam Peters, the Washington GM, used to be in San Francisco,
32:57can't do it. The Washington Commanders, to me, are not a playoff team. They're a last place team
33:04in the NFC East. I don't believe in the Washington Commanders in any way, shape, or form. Stephon
33:10Diggs, for one year, as a number two receiver, opposite Terry McLaurin, that makes a lot of sense.
33:18So I don't agree with Steph's notion that he's the number one, number two. I do think that he
33:24needs to realize there's a lot of other stuff that goes into the equation and why he's a street-free
33:30agent in the middle of July. I do think that Washington would be a great scenario for Stephon
33:37Diggs. But wait, there's more. Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon has come under fire for what
33:45you're about to see right here. The Stanley Cup. Why don't you take a look at it?
33:53Hurricanes players, coaches, they earned it. It's amazing. Ultimate honor. Names etched,
34:02the most famous trophy in sports. That, of course, has he done this entire family. You can't disgrace
34:10Lord Stanley's Cup like this. You can't do it. Why would you disgrace Lord Stanley's Cup? That's
34:18sacrilege. This is not to list all your family members making a who's who. Why would you do
34:24that? It's a joke. It's an embarrassment. It's a punchline. I interviewed Seth Jarvis from
34:30the Hurricanes. Put me on the Stanley Cup. I mean, you can't inscribe your entire family
34:37and hijack the Stanley Cup. No, that's awful. Obviously, this is an owner who gets vilified
34:46in Portland and Carolina. He's cheap. I'm thrilled for the Hurricanes. I got over the hump. They won.
34:54Phenomenal team. Phenomenal fan base. You know, just terrific, terrific place in terms of Raleigh
35:01and all the Carolina fans. But really, what the hell is that? How does the NHL even allow
35:08that? There should be some kind of rule where it's just for the players and, you know, the
35:13actual coaching staff. The entire family? I mean, this is not a lineage roster. It's not
35:20a family tree. It's the Stanley Cup. Show a little respect. That's a show. If you missed
35:28any portion of the show, just do what I do. Watch the show over and over and over again.
