00:00Collectively, the Mets are near the bottom of baseball, walks, OPS, strikeout rate since June 1st.
00:05Should we be focusing on a handful of productive players that we've seen in the small sample size of the
00:10last 7 to 10 games?
00:12Or do you feel like everyone should still focus on an offense that as a whole appears to still fundamentally
00:18be broken?
00:19What I do is I go to StatHead, a part of baseball reference, and I put in the league averages
00:26for the slash lines.
00:27So the league average for batting average, the league average for on base, which is 318, the league average for
00:33slugging, which is 388, and the league average for OPS, which do the math, is 706.
00:39Every player that has below league average in all four of those numbers, your entire slash line is below league
00:47average.
00:48I chart how many players are on that list throughout the season.
00:52I check it like every couple days, right, to see how many players end up there.
00:56The Mets are the only team in baseball with four players on that list.
01:01It's their entire infield.
01:02It's Bo Bichette, Brett Beatty, Mark Mientos, Marcus Simeon.
