00:00This team, when you look at it with how everything's happened, they could be staring at one of the most disappointing season in franchise history because of the expectations after signing Juan Soto, because a lot of people said, OK, can they push the Dodgers and try to get to the World Series?
00:14How do you think, as a fan, that the fan base is going to respond in September if the losses keep piling up the way we've seen over these last couple of weeks?
00:23Well, you've been getting a taste of it with this latest skid. The Mets fans have been, I would say, more patient than I ever remember them being.
00:32But then when you get to the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth inning, and they're not showing any fight, they're going outside, the Bluebirds show up.
00:39And I think if this continues into September, all of that great energy, all of the Steve Cohen saying, hey, guys, come to the stadium, fill up the seats.
00:46It'll be a lot of filled seats with booers. They're going to be upset and they're going to boo these guys off of the field because at the end of the day,
00:51you know, I'm not a pocket watcher, let's be clear. But if you sign a guy for $765 million, you have another player that's about $334 million.
01:02Pete Alonzo's in the walk here. There's people who've always kind of felt like Brandon Nimmo was a bit overpaid and they start counting the money.
01:09Stiddy Field isn't cheap. You've got to pay $40 to park. The food is expensive. These fans want a winner.
01:15So all these things considered, if the Mets don't show up in September and they look like the same old Mets, expect a parade of booze.
