00:00The Yankees have been struggling heading into the All-Star break, so here goes our five trade targets that we think New York should go after.
00:08Diamondbacks third baseman, Eugenio Suarez.
00:1033-year-old has put up some huge numbers this season with 28 home runs and 74 RBI, slugging 558 with an 876 OPS.
00:21I think this guy will bring even more pop to a Yankees lineup who already leads baseball and homers
00:26while finally putting an end to the problems that this team has had at third base all season.
00:33Second, Pirate's third baseman, Cabrian Hayes.
00:36Winning a gold glove back in 2023 at third, Hayes would bring elite defense to the Bronx.
00:42He's currently leading third baseman in outs above average this season with a staggering 13.
00:47And to put that into perspective for you guys, the next closest is Brett Beatty with four.
00:52His bat is nothing special as his OPS is a dreadful 586, which ranks second to last for qualified players at this position.
01:02A name familiar to Yankees fans, Isaiah Kainer-Falefa can find himself back in the Bronx once again, providing much needed position flexibility.
01:12The former Yankees put up a respectable 271 batting average with a 317 on base percentage.
01:18But IKF, you guys know, he's not going to hit for much power, but he and his 11 stolen bases this year would rank him second on the team.
01:28Question marks in the rotation growing even larger after the Clark Schmidt injury.
01:32The Yankees could look to former all-star Michael Sirocco.
01:36Now, a fresh start in a winning culture could be the shot in the arm that this guy needs as he's struggled since being traded by the Braves back in 2023.
01:44Now, he's due to be a free agent after this season, so it could be a buy low spot for New York and a great opportunity for Sirocco to show that, well, he still has some major league stuff.
01:57And to round out our trade target list, we have right-handed reliever Kyle Finnegan, and he was an all-star in 2024, and the 33-year-old can, I guess, slide right into the back end of the bullpen and help take some of the pressure off of Luke Weaver and Devin Williams.
02:13He's pitching a 2.43 ERA while striking out 26 batters in 33 and one-third innings pitch.
02:20I think it'd be a nice add for a team looking to make a run back to the World Series.
