00:00Francisco Alvarez continues to tear things up in AAA since he was demoted.

00:05Seven home runs in his last 12 games.

00:08So, Mike Mayer, thanks for hopping on with us.

00:10What have you noticed about Alvey during his time up in Syracuse?

00:15And when do you think that he's going to be called back to the squad?

00:20Well, like you said, you mentioned the home runs, the power,

00:23and that's a big thing that's been missing from his game this year.

00:26And that's really his calling card is his power.

00:29He's got eight home runs in his last 50 at-bats.

00:32And I think the last game might be the most impressive with a home run

00:35and a double off Andrew Painter, who's one of the best pitching prospects in baseball.

00:40He's also been working on his defense, and his framing has been very well in AAA,

00:46something that he did well in the past for the Mets.

00:48So I think with him showing that his power is back and that he's focused on his defense,

00:54I think that Alvarez is going to be back with the Mets right after the All-Star break.

00:58I don't think with the way Torrens and Sanger have combined offensively,

01:02I don't think they should wait much longer to bring Alvarez right back up.
