00:00All right, let's talk to you Knicks fans. You think that the Knicks should gamble on Malik Beasley
00:04and sign him to a vet minimum weeks before training camp opens. Well, I know you know
00:09about his situation, but his attorneys have told ESPN that the NBA free agent Ford is no longer
00:16the target of the federal gambling investigation. So weeks ago, authorities from the Eastern District
00:22of New York were looking at the 28-year-old for allegations stemming from bets that he
00:27allegedly placed during the 2023-2024 season when he played for the Milwaukee Bucks. However,
00:34his attorney, Steve Haney, told ESPN months after this investigation commenced, Malik remains
00:41uncharged and is not the target of this investigation. Last season when he was with
00:47the Pistons, he averaged around 16 points and three rebounds a game, and he shot 41.6% from
00:54three-point range while playing in all 82 games. Now, Detroit was set to offer him a three-year,
00:59$42 million deal, but that was stalled once news of the federal probe leaked. Well, SNY's Ian Begley
01:07tweeted that the Knicks are among teams that had done background work on Beasley's situation and that
01:13they currently have a vet minimum to offer free agents. But there are other teams that could offer
01:20him more money or more than just a vet minimum. But with the way that Leon Rose has constructed
01:26this roster, it may make sense for him to take a pay cut and join the Knicks because they've got a
01:31great shot of playing in the NBA Finals. So I'm going to ask you Knicks fans out there,
01:36if he becomes available, do you want Malik Beasley to come to New York?
