00:00All right, Dexter, I have five stats from week two of the NFL season.

00:03I want you to tell me, do these stats matter?

00:08First one, Justin Fields is 0-24 now in his career

00:13when the opponent scores 21 points or more.

00:16Yo, that's a lot of losing.

00:200-24 in his career when the opponent scored 21 points or more.

00:24What I find interesting, does that matter?

00:26It does because it tells you he's probably generally not been in a lot of close games.

00:31And if he has been in close games that are high-scoring affairs,

00:35he has not clearly, he has not fared well, right?

00:38Like he has not done well.

00:39So I do think it matters because if you get Justin Fields in a shootout,

00:43we saw this in week one against the Steelers.

00:45A lot of points scored.

00:46Jets scored 32 points in a game.

00:48So they were scoring, but he just hasn't come through in the end.

00:51Now, some of that is circumstantial with your team.

00:54I don't like to put it all on the quarterback.

00:57But, yeah, that's a lot of losing.

01:00How do you not win a game when your defense gives up more than 21 points?

01:04We saw, like you mentioned, it almost happened last week,

01:07but just strange that he can't do that.

01:10Yeah, to be fair, we saw that in week one, right?

01:13Justin Fields was not the reason.

01:15So he can put up points.

01:16We saw it last week.

01:17But for some reason, the offense and defense, when he's able to do it,

01:21don't line up together.

01:23Some of it is he played for the Bears.

01:29And I'm trying to think of a game when he had 21 points with the Steelers.

01:33It was probably one of the two that he lost with them last year.

01:41Again, not all of it is on him.

01:43But it's like, has Justin Fields ever shown that he's been the reason

01:46you could win a high-scoring game late?

01:48To be fair, he hasn't shown that.

01:49To also be fair, sometimes he's had the kid gloves on him

01:52where he's not been allowed to throw as much.

01:55When it's 0-24, it is on you, though.

03:40I think it also matters when they got these 50-point games.

03:43We saw them struggle in week one.

03:45They bounced back nicely here.

03:47Detroit's offense is good.

03:49They're tough.

03:50You think their defense could be a little bit better this year.

03:52But to show their offense has the explosion, the power that can be explosive, they can

03:55put up six-plus touchdowns, yeah, I think it matters.

03:58I think this 50-point performance really mattered because they proved they can do it without

04:04Ben Johnson.

04:05I thought without the two coordinators, they were going to take a step back.

04:09Now, it's against the Bears, so got to see more.

04:11But it's a step in the right direction that they're going to be okay.

04:13The Bears are out here catching strays.

04:19I think it's a great point you mentioned there about the fact that without Ben Johnson,

07:11Colts broke that record as well, scored on their first 10.

07:13And then all of a sudden the Saints went downhill.

07:15You got to see more.

07:16It's a sign in the right direction.

07:18They turned the ball over on downs a couple times.

07:21So like if they don't go there, there's a couple punts.

07:23So it's a little cheeky in that sense.

07:26But it is showing that this offense is a lot better than I think anybody could have expected.

07:31Daniel Jones has been a lot better than anybody could have expected.

07:35But I don't know if it really matters.

07:37It's a sign in the right direction.

07:39I think it can matter for their confidence going forward if they can build upon this.

07:44Like if they're good at the end of the year, we point to the Colts and we're like, yeah,

07:48that is a good team that can maybe make a run in the playoffs.

07:51Then we'll point to this stat and be like, well, look at how good of a start we should have done.

07:55Right.

07:55But if they don't, then nobody's going to.

07:57Right.

07:57It can also go the opposite direction.

07:59Daniel Jones turns back into who Daniel Jones has been.

08:01And then we'll be like, well, who cares?

08:03I think that's fair.
