00:44Now, in his most recent outing, he gave up five earned runs across fewer than five frames, and that pretty much, in my opinion, sealed his fate.
00:53Now, he did have a contractual right to block the move, but sources indicate that he didn't.
00:59So instead, he gets a reset in AAA, and that could be the best path forward for both the player and the organization.

01:10Rookies Nolan McClain and Jonah Tong have been nothing short of electric, and they've provided a little bit of stability the Mets desperately needed.
01:20Meanwhile, top prospect Brendan Sprott is now knocking on the big league door, and he gets his first start on Sunday against the Reds.
01:29Now, I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that the Senga of 2023 may never return, but his fastball velocity is down, and the ghost fork just ain't ghost forking.
01:40And that's a problem that goes beyond a simple mechanics tweak.
01:45So today in Queens, the Kodai Senga era has come to an end, or at least it's hit a pause.
01:51The Mets are banking on youth to stabilize the rotation, and that could be a gamble, but it isn't necessary to turn toward the next chapter, especially with the postseason right around the corner.
