00:00:38legend a diehard nicks fan he is known as one of the great voices in hip-hop history yes he is the
00:00:46front man for the iconic group public enemy the one and only the rhyme animal chuck d joins us on
00:00:55the show chuck what's going on man how you doing big dex what up b you know it's good to be here
00:01:01and um sorry to uh to be a diva and not be in the studio but you know we just couldn't line it up but
00:01:08we've been circling our wagons for the last couple of years and here we are on ground zero day one uh
00:01:16season 25 26 right yeah so what better so i got my my kftv hat representing the marsh
00:01:23and also my cycling glasses there you go so you're you're you're fully nick outfitted you you're you
00:01:29we have to let you rock the blue and orange like that uh for us for sure chuck chuck i gotta let the
00:01:34people know because chuck you following me a couple of years ago was like one of my greatest honors
00:01:41i was like oh man chuck d followed me the legendary chuck d followed me and man they'll dex i'm a fan man
00:01:47that's crazy you know we gotta be fans you know and i'm i know how fans are i i would say i've had
00:01:55you know thousands and thousands of fans throughout the years but i know how to be a fan because i
00:02:02learned how to be a fan from the fans i've had and and i've been a fan ever since i was i guess
00:02:08publicly known so i you know a fan of what what you've been doing for years and also you know be by
00:02:14a side and i know you're already man you know like i said i'm in the mosh pit over at uh nick's
00:02:19fan tv i'm a fan of cp and alex and the crew and everybody that calls it and then also other
00:02:25you know content uh providers and nothing but nicks and i saw you in nick of time with you know
00:02:32jls and he called you arsenio hall
00:02:35you know yeah man i mean you know we all got to got you know got to dig something man in our lives
00:02:44other than just what we do yeah no man i i appreciate that you you reached out and sent
00:02:49me some really nice words um being kind of my work and i i appreciate that but we're glad to have you
00:02:54here with us to talk we're gonna talk some nicks we're gonna talk some hip-hop we're gonna we're
00:02:59gonna we're gonna do it all here chuck we're gonna talk a couple of things so chuck let me ask you
00:03:03this i'm gonna start off with this because you know what are you feeling because we're heading
00:03:07into the most anticipated nick season in 30 years how does this moment compare to eras that you've
00:03:14lived through because right i had a little bit of the 90s growing up the ewing years how does it
00:03:19compare this era of nick basketball to what you've seen in the past you know with this brunson led
00:03:24squad today keep your expectations down you're in new york you're in a microwave city that's been
00:03:32been you know like really seriously three times with any other media any other city even la
00:03:38so keep your expectations down enjoy the ride enjoy the process and to me last year i had i had a ball
00:03:48i think last year was the most exciting season i followed and participated in
00:03:55since i mean ever and i've been a fan since 1967 so i i this year i want to enjoy the process there's a lot
00:04:08of um things that are going to be brand new it's like that scary roller coaster ride where people just
00:04:15can't wait to say okay we lost five in a row and they're going to start calling up tibbs did you see
00:04:23tibbs with boston the other day oh that hurt but you know we got to get through it because i think
00:04:28mike brown is a different mike brown than what we've seen in the league he's older and the players
00:04:38will listen to him a lot more because they're younger as opposed to when mike brown you know
00:04:44was with the lake i saw something with matt barnes talked about yeah mike brown might not be this person
00:04:49people ran over him you know kobe around on tests you know but at the same time that was a younger
00:04:55mike brown with older veterans this is a older mike brown with players as substantially younger
00:05:03so i think he'll he'll he knows the difference how to rule with a firm fist on his style can the
00:05:10knicks figure it out is another thing because seeing cat the other day i mean even yesterday kind
00:05:16of perplexed um i think there's something to be you know worried about for a second but i think you
00:05:21know at the end of the day it's all basketball i agree how does this chuck how does this experience
00:05:29line up with say previous nick generations because we just mentioned their run in the 90s obviously there
00:05:35was a mini mini run in the 2010s yes oh with carmelo but even before that in the 70s like you've you've
00:05:42kind of seen it all in that regard yeah so how does this in terms of the energy in new york city
00:05:47in terms of how people believe in this team like how does this compare to those generations
00:05:51i think that this is the first time i've experienced maybe since i was a kid not even understand it
00:05:58is that we've had a step-by-step gradual building i think in uh in the 90s
00:06:05it was all of a sudden to me because when pat riley got to the knicks it was like boom now we on that
00:06:13other side and i know you know we had a step up with stew jackson and you know with uh patino before
00:06:19that it was a little bit of a sampling but when pat riley came to the knicks it's like all right
00:06:25automatically here we go this is a little different this is like grabs a step-by-step every game it's
00:06:32almost like theater in fact it's like every year step up a step up a step up and we all been here
00:06:39for an incredible ride of this decade since 2020 and um and we haven't gotten worse so here we go
00:06:49the expectations obviously are going to you know be like increasing so i've never seen that as a
00:06:55knick fan before like every year is a raising of a chapter you know um like i said it's almost like
00:07:03um storybook um perfect cast casting as they say and uh it's different you know before it's like i
00:07:11said the riley year just came out of nowhere the knicks um in 67 68 went from you know figuring it
00:07:19out and then they had the seismic trade of dave dave the butcher the butcher for walt bellamy and
00:07:26howard comas i used to call him dave the butcher because i didn't know what his name was back then
00:07:31but i remember very clearly that we went from a team that was okay cool into very very good and bill
00:07:40russell made me cry in the 68 playoffs and i and i in the next year the knicks won it all in 69 70
00:07:48but there was no bill russell and and then but they had a new guy coming in named lou alcinda who later
00:07:55became kareem abdul jabbar that's right and the knicks found their way through that so those were like
00:08:00big bang effects like boom and then the knicks tried to always emulate the big bang effects with these
00:08:07great big acquisitions that just never panned out you know i mean just because they had the money
00:08:13and it was in the major market they thought they could get that big bang out of nowhere and they
00:08:17didn't get that big bang until like in the 90s it was it was a great run in the early 80s with ub brown
00:08:24but we just every time we inched up we fell back down uh the 90s was boom pat riley is there
00:08:32and when pat riley left there was this big vacancy that the knicks thought that they could fill with
00:08:39another tenured coach by the name of don nelson so my fear is are we in the don nelson phase oh no
00:08:48don't say that listen listen are we in the don nelson phase coming after riley with mike brown coming
00:08:56after tibbs i hope not but i've been there before so just to to your question brian yeah that's
00:09:02something that kind of like reeks in the in the rearview mirror with me because i've seen it happen
00:09:07before i don't think we could compare anything this century to what we're seeing now because i also
00:09:14thought 2012 2013 was one of those blips um and so like in the 80s we had blips bernard king
00:09:22ruby brown and all that but this thing is i've never seen a gradual build up the closest i could
00:09:29come to it and i you know with the mets in 83 84 85 86 because every year with the mets in that area
00:09:38was a step up and the 85 mets when they didn't win to me was like the most exciting season ever and you
00:09:47know 86 was anticlimactic because everybody was like after that 100 win season we didn't beat the
00:09:53cardinals it's everyone was like 86 is all met so i feel similar to that when everybody's like yo you
00:10:02know yeah this is all nicks yeah my thing is like let us get to the ecf again and that was so exciting
00:10:10yeah and then get into the finals and then we'll see and then i got no expectations at all but the
00:10:16ecf was really exciting and you and my last thing i'm gonna say yeah i think indiana pacer fans all
00:10:25should be gracious for a team to go to game seven last year but also now just kind of like oh we failed
00:10:35i'm like wow imagine if we went to game seven yeah wow very interesting i'll say that yeah yeah
00:10:43they went to game seven that means they had a chance to like be the champions one game away
00:10:50you know we were we were four to seven games away so we made final four which was unbelievable
00:10:55and here we go so i didn't mean to be long-winded but to make your comparison brian um i've never seen
00:11:03this before in basketball and new york sports no and this is what makes it such an exciting time
00:11:08uh chuck you mentioned so it's really interesting you made that the mike brown the change from
00:11:13thibodeau to him um and then you mentioned don nelson because you're right that was a change that
00:11:18a lot of nicks fans at that time i was really young at the time i was only i think 12 years old
00:11:22but thinking that they were going to make that transition wasn't as easy and smooth so they got
00:11:26jeff van gundy um after but and what did jeff do jeff brought back riley's program program don nelson
00:11:34tried to try to do something freaky with the offense and he had anthony mason right and so so
00:11:41did you guys this kind of sets up where i wanted to go chuck because with mike brown and the new
00:11:47offense and all the talk around it right you've got the movement the pace the the freedom of all that
00:11:52new york is like a certain style of basketball we we like that we like a certain kind of grittiness
00:11:59do you see what mike brown is trying to do and does it does it have that new york rhythm to it
00:12:04do you see the evolution of the city game and the modern basketball he's trying to bring do you think
00:12:10what he's trying to do fits with this next personnel well first the next fans and new york fans want to
00:12:16see the team win true and they want to see effort so the effort that the knicks have given the
00:12:22last five years that that you know it's like you know it's like one of those things where nick fan
00:12:28used to cheer the pass before the pass you know they were so astute on the game so i think if the
00:12:34team shows that it could win the the fans will adapt to any style they're watching on the floor uh the
00:12:41fear is is that you could do all kinds of incredible things in pre-season but it's like shadow boxing
00:12:47you're not boxing against the wall you're going up against opponents that's willing to die in front of
00:12:52you so that's going to be different and here's another thing we got to get through the first
00:12:57two or three months because whoever remembers october and november games anyway with that
00:13:01with that faux pas chant what are they called the cup in november oh you're not you're not a fan of
00:13:07the nba cup you don't want the nba cup chuck nah nah man because i mean it's dry fun like we used to
00:13:14say you know it's dry fun i like that that's stole that slang right there even though i think even
00:13:20though i think chuck i think the knicks might do well in the nba cup not for nothing like their
00:13:24group is pretty winnable but you know yeah well the lake is one that that dry fun cup a couple years
00:13:30ago we'll see where that got them so i mean i'm not you know i mean who am i to say man you know like
00:13:35i got no skin in the game but you know i i do wonder that out of the box out of the blocks what
00:13:43the knicks have had the last five seasons was tim's conditioning program where he had players who
00:13:53had to understand that most of their energy exerted was going to be on on defense
00:14:00so they had to come in in top-notch shape they had to they had to they had to really be able to
00:14:07really defend and so i think that also held held up when it came down to
00:14:12february march and april when a lot of teams were getting injuries and and just getting taken right
00:14:21out of there because it seemed like something seemed to give away in their bodies there's a big there's a
00:14:27big difference in the the conditioning regimen that the knicks went through and let's say the
00:14:32toronto raptors because i think like when rj and iq went to the raptors and og came to the knicks
00:14:42with precious they realized that yo our condition got to be different with the knicks and og the first
00:14:51year with the knicks you look what he pulled his hammy in the playoffs it was a different type of
00:14:57exertion and next year og came into the best shape of his life not to say about but up in toronto i don't
00:15:06know whatever uh regimen nick nurse was putting the raptors through but now you're gonna see um with the
00:15:12raptors coach now iq and rj getting a full regimen of how that's gonna run it's gonna be different from
00:15:20now mike brown i heard had to step up and continue that from from tibbs making sure everybody's coming
00:15:29ready out of the box so i think mike brown has assumed the fact that listen man i gotta keep these
00:15:34guys physically ready and we can't afford you know bodies to break down but we're yet to see that we're
00:15:40yet to see how much they exert on the offense and um but i i think like this is a different mike brown
00:15:47that knows that he has to really seriously pay attention i don't think he's ready for all for
00:15:52you guys in the press and the post game press uh conferences when when the going gets tough but
00:16:00he's an experienced coach in the nba that doesn't mean that you want to get new york though
00:16:05chuck did you did you not like the hire that much or would you have kept tom thibodeau after last season
00:16:14because i'm getting a little bit of maybe hesitancy with mike brown or maybe we'll wait and see with
00:16:18mike brown i dig mike brown now i mean what other choice do we have as fans i yeah i first heard
00:16:24about it i kicked my i kicked the garbage can out the window you know i was like well how stupid is
00:16:29that i mean the dude gets you the ecf and you know here we go man let's just have some patience and
00:16:35next year we're gonna get to the finals knowing this but that's me being an emotional fan right and i
00:16:40wasn't buying into everybody having this this crystal ball predicting next year that we that
00:16:46we wasn't going to make it under tibbs i'm like how do you know how does anybody know nobody knows
00:16:51anything now so right right i mean it's their team so i mean yeah initially i was like how stupid is
00:16:56that it was the same thing i said about sacramento when they fired mike brown that was the dumbest
00:17:03firing last year until tibbs we gotta we gotta we gotta move on man and mike brown is now the nick
00:17:13coach and we gotta like i said time will tell and as a fan what what can you do but sit in the seats
00:17:21i'll be in the mosh pit over at kftv i know that one thing and so we'll hear and see everything
00:17:27oh you will oh oh oh oh you had to talk about this we did more we talked about this we said
00:17:33listen if they're you know 18 and 14 the first couple months of the year then it new york is
00:17:40gonna get loud hey b that's that's don nelson no that no yeah no chuck knows
00:17:47that's to tell you and don nelson was like what he was like like 12 and 9 or something like that
00:17:56i'm gonna look it up everybody had rally still in their head yep it was not and listen and chuck
00:18:01i remember that like i said i remember i was i was only about 12 years old at the time but
00:18:05the seat got hot real quick for don nelson 34 and 25 when he when he got fired he got fired but he
00:18:12did i think before that about that slower start the first 21 games was like 12 and 9 or something
00:18:16like that and and it it wasn't good for him at all uh so so so so deck so yes mike brown is 34 and 25
00:18:24what you think what you think gonna be said yo so what what do we do 34 and 25 that is what 59 games
00:18:33yeah well one thing you know you can't go backwards because one thing that saved the knicks yeah was
00:18:40van gundy yes van gundy was like pat riley clone and that's why it was easy to make that transition
00:18:47so he brought everything back remember that yep he brought the whole whole vibe style right so if
00:18:55pat ewing was happy and and we was ready to go so chuck if you the question you asked me which is a good
00:19:01one i'm curious what ryan would think too if if it's 34 and 25 after 59 games you're in too deep at that
00:19:09point right like it's it's 59 games into the season you're not firing mike brown then however however i will
00:19:16say this and you know this brian knows this all the fans the fans are gonna be mad in these chats
00:19:22when we do these live shows they're gonna be so angry they're gonna be so angry chuck because it's
00:19:27such a different time but you know yeah um i grew up in the time when new york was already you know
00:19:33micro um i call it microwave square garden um with all the press but now with middle media and just in
00:19:42the media areas where the fans they ain't all in the garden you got a hundred thousand fans out there
00:19:49you know like like what cp and alice got and then you know nothing but nicks and then you got people
00:19:54all over the country it's almost like the nicks with mid-media have turned into america's team
00:20:00in a certain way love it or hate it so yeah the fans are gonna and then how much is somebody going
00:20:09to listen to the fans it's it's harder to tune it out now so we might see mike brown grow a gray afro
00:20:16because he's bald already so he's gonna grow a gray afro in a beard you know how you got grays on a bald man
00:20:22yes sir you got great when you have grays on a bald man that's that's not good so so i got some
00:20:29of the don nelson numbers go ahead so they were they were actually 19 and 9 19 early in the season
00:20:36then they were 30 and 16 and then they slipped to 34 and 25 so from 30 and 16 they went 4 and 9
00:20:44brought in jeff van gundy jeff van gundy was 13 and 10 but they won a playoff series with him
00:20:49and then jeff van gundy was obviously really what should be noted chuck that you probably remember
00:20:54brian thank you brian for bringing all that up chuck you remember don nelson was trying to change
00:20:59the offense and try to run point forward with anthony mason yeah yeah and that was not a very
00:21:05popular move at the time i remember not not the patrick you and it wasn't yeah patrick you was not
00:21:11feeling that at all this this this was not they had a they had a five game lose they had a five game
00:21:16losing streak shortly before he got fired and they went through a stretch where they lost six of
00:21:20seven including at the new jersey nets uh the hawks the suns the lakers the kings yeah and utah i i
00:21:29remember van gundy saved the franchise i'm telling you he did that's why that's why yes cp as he was
00:21:35growing up van gundy was his favorite coach but i'm telling you that whole blueprint comes from pat
00:21:41riley's the only guy i've ever seen in new york that came in and flipped it immediately matter of
00:21:49fact when pat riley came because we were wondering like okay he's coming from the lakers we ain't got
00:21:54no laker squad but i was hearing stories like well pat riley on his preseason he's got these things
00:22:02called the vomit buckets and he is gonna work this team so hard is that i heard everybody was like
00:22:09vomiting and in these trash cans and i said oh this nick team is gone and sure enough it was
00:22:18you know no it was i want to ask you this chuck um because you are the lead mc of public enemy right
00:22:27and i always wondered for someone like you is there sort of a connection between being the lead mc
00:22:31and then looking at a floor general somebody like jalen brunson right you know you got to get
00:22:36as a lead mc you have to make sure everybody in the group is good you have to make sure
00:22:39flavor flavor was good he came out with the big clock everything was working brunson has to make
00:22:44sure that everybody is right in that point guard spot when you look at brunson as someone who's a
00:22:50lead mc like yourself what do you like about his leadership and a lead mc i mean flavor's done
00:22:56phenomenal and we're in the days we're playing in stadiums and guns and rolls and all that he's
00:23:01taking over a lot of the slack i'm mike michael jordan but i'm i'm michael jordan of the wizards
00:23:06right now don't don't say i don't we don't want to hear that about you i don't want to talk about
00:23:12me i can talk about i mean you said not me i'm not but back but back to the brunson thing yeah well
00:23:18i guess what i was gonna ask you is what do you like about his leadership and it being authentic
00:23:21to new york like what what do you like about that one thing is to handle new york and being humble
00:23:26they ain't never been there haven't been a player like jalen brunson coming to new york ever man because
00:23:31he knew the atmosphere and intensity coming in and i've never seen a player fit in just like folk
00:23:37into the new york intensity knowing that eyes was gonna be on him scrutinizing you know leery looking
00:23:44like oh man i kind of had a feeling like yo man they got jalen brunson i just see them in the playoffs
00:23:51against utah and donovan mitchell had a problem against jalen brunson so my thing was like with jalen
00:23:59brunson i said the knicks have for a first time a person that could bring the ball up they won't get
00:24:06stripped that's you know what i'm saying all the offense all the offense that that he showed was all
00:24:13a gift because i knew that jalen brunson's handle and his physicality on offense you i mean you you it
00:24:21wasn't going to be easy to stop he could get to anywhere he wanted on the floor all this other stuff was
00:24:27like damn you know so uh and then the fact that he came in he knows the atmosphere he just knew how
00:24:36to fit in like folk and then also he had tips so he he had kind of like carte blanche to do his thing
00:24:44and once he got in the tips good graces
00:24:48yo man we haven't seen anything like it i think the closest that somebody mentioned that
00:24:55that you can compare jalen brunson to is derrick jeter he has that's interesting he has a very
00:25:01jeter like and i'm i'm met i grew up mess for him but yeah without without the list yeah what'd you
00:25:08say without the list yeah you know what list i'm talking about but anyway yeah i know i know what
00:25:14you're talking about yeah i don't think jalen brunson got one of those i know i know i got you i got you
00:25:17not quite the same in there but he's got what they say all saying be it index is like jalen brunson for
00:25:24the next 30 years people will say you know jalen your money ain't good here yeah that's a good thing
00:25:30to hear from new york that is a good thing to hear from new york and especially if he wins his money
00:25:33definitely good bro bro i was trying to make it make him uh another comparison to him and derrick jeter
00:25:38uh there that that we didn't see and when they and when they we talked about this extensively when they
00:25:43got him people were like why are they paying so much money you know like that was a big thing at
00:25:48the time why is he getting so much money and that off season was one of those down free agency years
00:25:53where the knicks and jalen brunson just soaked up a lot of the conversation and then we since then he's
00:26:00he's already the second best point guard they've ever had after wall frazier which is kind of crazy to
00:26:04think about yeah it's like i've never i haven't seen anything like the jalen brunson explosion you know
00:26:12as a nick fan you always wish that somebody would come in and just be this surprise out of nowhere
00:26:17even bernard king came in as a star when bernard king came to the knicks he went just and upped it
00:26:23three levels you know patrick ewing was drafted number one in the league so we have people when they
00:26:29came in it was just a matter of like okay can they handle it because it's in new york you're always
00:26:34gonna see free agents come in but jalen brunson came in from the side door and is on the throne bro
00:26:42i'm telling you and i and the thing about it i'm i'm a guy you know who goes back the the guy
00:26:49hoping that van gundy slips in you know rick brunson you know damn i hope he give rick i told rick this i
00:26:58said man i always wanted you to get some more burn rick you know because you know rick is a young guy to me
00:27:03so it's good well yeah you watch him when he was playing on the knicks on a non-guaranteed deal
00:27:08which he played on a bunch through his career trying to trying to make it through so yeah rick
00:27:13rick knows about that and you know our stephan bondy did a really good article the other day
00:27:17good feature about the relation between you know jalen and his dad and how that's all worked out for
00:27:23him which is really beautiful to see but let me also ask this how cool how cool is stephan bondy he's
00:27:28got to be the most even keel sports writer in new york he's like he's like what he's like like the
00:27:34rock him of sports right i'm gonna tell i'm gonna tell him that except when it comes to the giants
00:27:39apparently yeah he's not he's not a giants fan well you got two football teams you got two baseball
00:27:45teams he's not a jets fan either check just want to let you know he roots for the philadelphia eagles
00:27:49hey listen man when i took a knee in 2016 i stepped away from football for a while
00:27:56understood why it's got to work it's got to work its way back and i just recently did a commercial
00:28:01for the nfl because of flavor because he's all the half of of that particular marriage
00:28:06okay so when the giants played the eagles we did a commercial it was really funny and i just said oh
00:28:12man i hope that the they don't feel offended that i kind of was like on the eagle side of the commercial
00:28:17stephan bondy would appreciate that i tell you you call him the rock him in new york sports
00:28:23riders i'm gonna pass that on man he's like you know he's even keel man sometimes in the comments
00:28:29people will say bondy's not happy he's negative on the next and i'm like no he's not he's just he's
00:28:36even he's an even keel dude i agree with that he's also his job is also to cover the team yeah his
00:28:41job is not to wave the pom-poms that's not what his job is to do well i grew up with peter vesey
00:28:46you know bill gallo and those guys i wanted to be a sports writer uh cartoonist from bill
00:28:54gallo so on the daily news so you know i mean hey you know i get it you get it back in the day
00:29:00they were really rough yes yes harvey arriton that y'all you know people like that mike lupica
00:29:07mike lupica shooting from the lip they're not gonna let you slide some some legends and alan
00:29:12hans started out with news day put it down yeah alan especially in covering uh islanders and hockey
00:29:20yeah yeah these guys come from right even stephen a smith comes from writing yep you know in
00:29:26philadelphia and new york daily news yeah and then the daily news so these guys are just like yourselves
00:29:34you're just not you know personalities on a screen you guys have a lot of background but brian and i
00:29:39both have started our careers um writing i started got my start writing and brian still writes more than
00:29:44i do at this point but i want to get back to the contending of the knicks chuck because okay here
00:29:50we go they're being talked about as potential title contenders brian and i both agree that they are
00:29:55what do you think it means for the city to feel what you're talking about early when brian asked you
00:30:00that buzz they're feeling that buzz again what does it mean for you to see the city buzzing again
00:30:05about the knicks hope it brings them into the fans into understanding that you know you don't get
00:30:12these microwave instantaneous you know great you know things just because you snap your finger you make
00:30:19purchases and draft picks i think it's a lot of luck involved it's development and it's also like you
00:30:26being at every turn and and every injury and and growing with a team you know i think it's an
00:30:33appreciation because i think that's the utmost excitement and entertainment not just because
00:30:38you know you're rushing to get an end result a lot of times people thought in the nba that you could
00:30:43get and buy a championship and get there quick but instead of champagne i think that sometimes makes
00:30:50it tastes like club soda you know i think we got a champagne on the way because we know that we
00:30:58earn the steps and the gradual steps and and also you know sometimes you can have the best memory of a
00:31:05team that's continuously denied so i don't want the effort of these knicks to be in vain because
00:31:12they're giving it their go only one team wins like stephan marbury said only at the end of the year
00:31:18only one team gonna win in 29 gotta figure it out so um enjoy the ride yeah no you gotta you gotta
00:31:25enjoy the ride for sure do you think there's a player on this team this year we know how good brunson
00:31:32is but is there another player that you say is really critical to this team's success this year who's
00:31:37that player for you that you can't choose brunson but you got another player that this player is gonna
00:31:42really matter if the knicks are gonna go all the way i think i think cat is phenomenal man i think
00:31:48that is phenomenal i i think once he figures it out and it's gonna and he right now he's in a little
00:31:54bit of a twirl but i enjoyed cat last year even through the injury and everything and of course you
00:31:59know big fan of mikhail and og because i just think those two right there vipers man they're snakes on the
00:32:06ball and um hey who who don't love josh hart man he bleeds orange and blue man so just sometimes just
00:32:14having heart out there um it's just some of those things to go go go go go i think deuce is gonna
00:32:21come in better i think mitch being mitch is there mitchy is like no snitchy man the block that's monster
00:32:27and then uh i think yabaselli is gonna come in i think and be crucial because mike brown is there
00:32:39if mike brown wasn't there and it was still tibbs i said you know we could still keep precious because
00:32:45i think precious and yabaselli is the same dude but now since you got a different coach now we're
00:32:51gonna see different players and different forms so um everybody is looking from this point of view
00:32:58you know like thinking that oh yeah it's gonna be a different season for mikhail and then well we'll
00:33:05see like i said playing with somebody in front of you is different from playing a pre-season
00:33:09passing to yourself up against the wall you know what they do they they everybody got those those um
00:33:15what they call it when they got their workout drills and but you're not playing against nobody
00:33:20right when you're playing against somebody and they throwing an elbow in your ribs and stuff
00:33:27like that's a different thing when you play with an injury that's a different thing going on and
00:33:33and the injuries are part of the the nba like like apple pie man it is to the usa man injuries
00:33:42and i'll tell you this is my theory too i said this on sports radio on on sirius xm with uh
00:33:48termini and johnson my favorite show on radio is that i think that the defense of these offensive
00:33:58strategies and the way the ball moves has also led to injuries because the body could bend but it
00:34:07can't talk and turn in a way that it's not supposed to at the speed that it takes to start and stop so
00:34:14those injuries ain't stopping it it's no listen there ain't no dream uh uh for example made up dream
00:34:21that halliburton tatum uh dame got those achilles and just uh injuries number one the body is might
00:34:35is meant to go to side to side but is the body meant to go forward and backwards with the with the
00:34:42jerk speed that we've been seeing and you know your body got to go forward and backwards because
00:34:47you got to defend the step back yeah so the body in the nba ain't never had to do this type of defense
00:34:53before where okay the three uh the tray is a threat now you got to run to the line but then
00:35:00a person is going to step in and step back you got to kind of defend stepping in or stepping back
00:35:05so you're doing a lot of torque pressuring on on your lower extremities so is there a a remedy for
00:35:12that or maybe they're figuring it out now but i know one thing injuries are abundant in this nba that
00:35:18we see so we're deep so next man up like i saw on one of the other shows is going to be one of those
00:35:24things that that we can't deny yeah and because of the injuries because guys are just getting hurt more
00:35:31now for an abundance of reasons one you talked about like the speed a little bit the game is just
00:35:36faster and then on top of that guys are just more specialized at an earlier age i feel like this is
00:35:42part of it that we don't really talk about a lot but they're playing basketball like five games a
00:35:47weekend when they're like 12 they're only playing basketball all throughout high school like they're
00:35:52not they're not two sport athletes like a donovan mitchell was for example growing up because he also
00:35:56played baseball he was a good baseball player so that kind of build is different see but
00:36:00donovan's build is different like okay you play some football you play some baseball you know
00:36:06what i'm saying you're so you're you're getting a well-rounded thing you're not really like this
00:36:10wispy lean type of thing and then back in the day i got like look at a guy like well let's read and
00:36:16bob lanier they're not gonna jump out and defend you matter fact they're gonna beat your tail when you
00:36:20come through the lane and that's the same and try to show them up by you running after them and you
00:36:25taking a shot you're just gonna get pummeled in it when you get a chance to come through the
00:36:30middle again so it's a different game because you got different laws and different rules and and
00:36:35just it's just different thing back in the day a big man would tear your behind up man you showed
00:36:41them up and because of that because of all that i feel like now chuck the runs are shorter like
00:36:47because you're seeing guys also part of this is you're seeing guys switch teams a lot but the runs
00:36:51are shorter because injuries are happening at a faster rate to younger and younger guys like
00:36:56back in the day jason tatum at his age probably doesn't tear his achilles you know tyrese halliburton
00:37:01the same thing so do you feel like watching this team you know with brunson who has had high usage
00:37:07like he's he's taking some shots a car at the towns has an injury history og do you feel like they they
00:37:13have to absolutely capitalize on this like this season do you feel like this window is really really
00:37:18short and within the next one two maybe three years you have to win a title or this is not going to
00:37:24happen yeah depending on what your body is jalen brunson's a football player on the basketball
00:37:30court bro he's like barry sanders man on the court so his whole everything is close to the floor
00:37:36he ain't doing too much in the air so his whole game is he like floor jordan you know i'm saying it's
00:37:44like and and okay where could his body tear you know because he's not speeding himself up
00:37:50he's he's he's he's a tough cover man because he's he's just he's like it's like trying to guard
00:37:57you know a fire hydrant with spikes so but other i think the other body compositions of other
00:38:07knicks may get injured playing with a different speed defending at a different speed so we just gotta
00:38:13be ready uh it's like the villanova guys are built like their football team like josh hard is a
00:38:20football player man you know so i mean i could be crazy i could be wrong it'd be like yo yo uncle's
00:38:26out of his damn mind you know what he's saying but i would tell you that jalen brunson is he a football
00:38:33player on a basketball court so you're gonna get injured trying to trying to maintain how to defend
00:38:40that a lot of the times man that you could beat him up he could get beat up you know but as far as
00:38:46having the same type of injury that the rest of these players are having brunson ain't speeding
00:38:51himself up a couple of times he speeds himself up you know he goes into this second third fifth gear
00:38:57reels on some plays like what's like whoa but most of the time man and and who knows if mike brown
00:39:03wants to see things sped up it could probably be with jalen brunson passing the ball yeah as a
00:39:09body moving his body so we'll see the only thing i'd say to that is like in my because i think i
00:39:16think those are obviously valid points but with jalen brunson sometimes like his style is very herky
00:39:21jerky and the fakes are so sudden like the fast twitch movements are so sudden so that could be a
00:39:27lot on the joints too so i i this is why i think actually passing the ball to your point is more
00:39:33important because it's not even just to get the assist numbers up but it's also so that he doesn't
00:39:37have to do as much especially early on in games because you're going to need him in the fourth
00:39:41quarter so i think there are ways for example to mike for mike brown to navigate this so that he
00:39:47doesn't have to do as much so that other guys can come in and you could distribute it maybe not quite
00:39:52evenly but so that jalen brunson's usage could maybe drop three percentage points or whatever this season
00:39:58for example we'll see we'll see some players man it like their anomalies and and more usage kind of
00:40:05even they even go into more beast mode so we'll we'll we'll see you know it's just like his body
00:40:11composition is different than than a lot of cats that we've seen yeah that's that's definitely true
00:40:17we do that he is different but time will tell with with all these guys uh chuck we appreciate the time
00:40:23i want to get a couple more things with you here uh i want to also get some hip-hop stuff with you
00:40:27too but i gotta ask you this because the thing that's gonna hang over this team this year i think a little
00:40:33bit is to talk about yannis and you know you've seen it already some knicks fans want yannis do
00:40:39the knicks need another superstar or do you look at this current group and say they already built the
00:40:44right way for a title run you can't get everybody that's that's how i feel that's exactly how i feel
00:40:51look the knicks from the 70s taught taught us that they tried to buy it because because they had
00:40:56the money they could buy anybody you know we got mcadoo and then we got haywood i mean we had
00:41:01haywood and then we got mcadoo i thought the knicks was fine with spencer haywood they went out got
00:41:07mcadoo just because we could and then that just didn't work just because you went out and bought
00:41:12the best and later on i thought we was good with stat and we went out to get mellow i'm like
00:41:17damn so i just think sometimes like like this whole yachting can't get everybody man can't get
00:41:26everybody i mean sometimes you just gotta be like you know what they just gonna be a villain
00:41:31and we gotta beat them yeah the cost is gonna be a lot too that's a big part of it because if you're
00:41:37if you're doing it it could it could ruin the continuity especially if it's mid-season because
00:41:42you're already implementing a new system a new coach a few new players and then contractually like
00:41:48you're gonna need towns's money and i gotta ride with cat man i'm riding with cat cat could shoot
00:41:57janice is like yo janice is one of those dudes who really seriously you gotta start measuring
00:42:04wear and tail on that dude because he's an anomaly going 94 feet but that body is tall
00:42:12i've been saying but it's breakdownable yo and then and then yannis can't shoot like cat
00:42:20cat could shoot yo you'll be cat could shoot yeah at the worst cat could be out there all day
00:42:28bam bam he could give you like cat at the worst could give you sam perkins you know that's a throwback
00:42:35i'm going i'm going back right at the worst cat can do that and yo man i'm telling you cat is that
00:42:43dude man cat is that dude i think you're bringing up the point that i make a lot about the yannis
00:42:48stuff and i've talked to brian about this here too chuck instead i don't it's not i don't think
00:42:52yannis is a great player it's i just don't think his game is going to age that well because of what
00:42:57you just said in that he can't shoot a lot of his game is based on athleticism and i'm not sure
00:43:02while he's a superior defensive player to cat there's no doubt about that i'm just not sure
00:43:08that's what i asked you a question yes i asked you a question jackson b kareem abdujabal we played
00:43:14against why we got to get kareem abdujabal we got to beat kareem abdujabal then we beat kareem abdujabal
00:43:21and then he beat us i mean cool you know like you know sometimes you know to be the man you got to
00:43:26beat the man i agree i agree i i agree let's get to some hip-hop stuff with you real quick chuck
00:43:32um you had a your new album dropped this year chuck d presents enemy radio radio armageddon you
00:43:38had sent that to me early i appreciated that um what story two albums this year two that's right
00:43:45that was the last one with def jam which was good it was like bringing a lot of different artists to
00:43:50the to the forefront and and also um the public enemy album i was surprised called black sky
00:43:56um over the projects apartment 20 25 was a play a play on um project 2025 that we're all admired and
00:44:05stuck in but we had a we had a great year man playing in front of stadiums with guns and roses i
00:44:12mean if i had to write it all down i was like yeah i mean cool it was a great year yeah you got to play
00:44:19guns and roses that that's that's pretty that's pretty good um what have you liked about you know
00:44:26your ability and your message still to put your message out there into the world because you know
00:44:31obviously people know you from you know your classics right it takes a nation of millions
00:44:36to hold us back fear of a black planet those are classic albums that we know of that always had a
00:44:41message and your voice and hip-hop at least for me growing up listening to the public enemy was
00:44:46always about having a message and how has that evolved for you as you as you've gotten older
00:44:51and still are creating and still are touring and everything have you still been like okay i've got
00:44:56to have that message in my music yeah of course i mean i think words got to have something and
00:45:01the message goes with it you know you know who you are and you say what you believe and especially
00:45:06in the times where you know people say they they that they could get something out of you
00:45:11and that's cool you know and then as far as at the stage and age and being in mid-60s and rapping
00:45:17in stadiums it's it's a little surreal but all you got to do is look at the rolling stones and
00:45:21they're in the 80s mic so i don't know what flavor is mic i'm making he's keith or i'm keith and all
00:45:27but it's good and it's an entire gigantic forward movement in the genre but i'll tell you what i over
00:45:36this week what i really have been enamored with if you just want to have one hip-hop statement here
00:45:43is the work that naz has done with the paid and full foundation yes you know and um and the previous
00:45:50in the past he's come through with um foundation you know donation grants to rakim this year's
00:45:58grandmaster kaz and and so many others so i think that's a fantastic thing that they're doing
00:46:04and it's something um i would hope to to find me some kind of bit of factor person to divert it
00:46:11into our genre that needs it so bad so you got to run into to one of those billionaires and uh
00:46:18and i'm glad that works that way for them i have been happy to see i've been happy to see naz
00:46:24really paying homage to the ogs of of this hip-hop game and and respect and i also have to put ll respect
00:46:31on ll's name too and that what he's done naz ll ice cube i mean i mean those i mean those guys are
00:46:38getting no better than than that latifah yeah i mean we could go and name a uh a thousand names but
00:46:45like i said uh quest love but like i said like if i had to say one name this week it's definitely
00:46:53the work that naz has done it's been good for sure chuck what do you think about hip-hop right now
00:47:00in terms of i guess cultural relevance but also in terms of messaging like do you feel like it's in
00:47:07a good place in an important place um compared to when you guys were sending messages in the 90s and
00:47:13even before that that felt it felt like it had more depth to it in some regard the 12 station uh
00:47:21uh app called rap station we've been playing for 20 years and uh it's an app that's done real well
00:47:27um it breaks down all aspects of hip-hop and rap and if i had to say of one name once again to
00:47:33epitomize that we're all right in the rap world look at a person like sky zoo that's no 26 albums if
00:47:41you want to figure out how to untwist yourself if you're a little bit lost sky zoo will set you free
00:47:46so i mean and there's many others so when we support each other we create a a realm in the environment
00:47:53the same way in sports when you see somebody that needs development and the vet comes in and shows them
00:48:00and you go to the game you see the vet and the young player and they just ball out and and they give
00:48:04you entertainment value um you go home happy but uh look at zoo man zoo zoo zoo is non-stop man
00:48:11and um and and and he's one of those guys that independently has shown that he's not going to
00:48:18stop and and all and and makes it better uh than how he found it yeah sky sky friend of the show
00:48:25uh friend of the former sports and hip-hop podcast brian and i used to do together so he's always up
00:48:32here i actually remember chuck before sky's last album he played for me uh with the lead single you got
00:48:39you on the lead single you did the hook on that courtesy call and he had played it for me like
00:48:43before it was released and i was like oh i love i love that hook that looks great i love that hook
00:48:48you did your thing on that hook that that was great where like i said i'm i'm in my wizards years
00:48:53as long as they michael jordan uh uh in his white socks years yeah yeah yeah nobody wants to be
00:49:00nobody wants to hear that no no no you're you're right that's a good point you don't want to be
00:49:04michael jordan the white socks years and he tried yeah there's no shame in that no shame no shame
00:49:09one last thing for me with with the hip-hop i thought brian asked a good question to you there
00:49:15about where hip-hop is now and and how you respect the guys like sky who are doing their thing but
00:49:20we just saw hip-hop follow his 50th anniversary celebration hip-hop is at 50 uh you i don't have to
00:49:26tell three next year 53 next year right yeah 53 next right i don't have to tell you this but you
00:49:32know that there are people that did not think hip-hop would make it this far um what advice do
00:49:38you have for artists in the next chapter that are trying to do what you did what you just mentioned
00:49:42sky zoo is doing to try to use their voice use the mic in the way you did what advice do you have for
00:49:47them and trying to do that in today's hip-hop climate well the past will teach you the future
00:49:52you know look hip-hop you know exploded in 19 well officially came in in 1973 the same year
00:50:03they shut down yankee stadium they shut down yankee stadium in 1973 and 1974 and 1975 um when the
00:50:15yankees had to play at shea stadium for two years but out of the bronx comes hip-hop you know like
00:50:21rising like uh out of the ashes like a phoenix you know saying so you study the past and you'll come
00:50:30up with some you know things to go in the future because the thing is it's like generations keep
00:50:36coming in so you can't say oh ma'am i remember when this happened well not everybody so new generations
00:50:43come with their thing you know her nba uh young boy just got out and did a dynamic concert wherever
00:50:50he might have been so i know he's happy to you know not having to be where he was so he's happy
00:50:55to do his thing and the future is always going to give somebody a you know a chance of brightness
00:51:00because you know people want to bring brightness to to to the audience and to the masses so i think
00:51:06that's that's what makes hip-hop different and culture different we don't speak the language of
00:51:11bullets bombs and bloodshed and sometimes wars and governments and they get twisted and twisting
00:51:17the masses you know we we counteract that we want as people like rakim firmly stated and big daddy came
00:51:26peace yes yes yes yes yes indeed uh i guess chuck i'm gonna it's prediction time we're getting hit
00:51:34to the end we we want to know chuck these 57 and 25 for the next that's over that over under is 53
00:51:42and a half it's 53 and a half right now we got 57 wins from chuck hey there's a guy there's a guy
00:51:47in in in the kftv mars kg we go back and forth every year right big up the kg the last three years i've been
00:51:56off by one game the last three years i've been one game short and kg always downplaying it so i'm
00:52:05telling kg 57 i think kg said something like oh anyway we go back and forth we in our fourth year
00:52:11my first three years i and i would have nailed it that year remember the year we we lost to um
00:52:17indiana on the last game of the season two years ago yeah i would have nailed it and last year i was
00:52:22one game off and two years ago i was one game off so 57 25 so which is but more importantly more
00:52:29importantly where do they end up in the playoffs that's the more important question i don't make
00:52:35predictions like that oh come on chuck no title no title nothing let me ask you conference finals
00:52:42listen let me tell you man i i make no one once we get in the you just made a prediction
00:52:48it's a whole not yeah i made the regular season you know playoffs man anything could happen could
00:52:56you listen last year in boston tell me tell the truth oh yeah oh come on man really we what i didn't
00:53:03think we we predicted both i think the knicks losing six i think we did everyone did pretty much
00:53:10five six a lot of i saw a lot of fours b that's why i make no prediction
00:53:15hey listen mikhail when he when he we grabbed that pad i was screaming i was in the hotel man
00:53:23yeah i was screaming in the hotel then we're playing in the in the in the the next series
00:53:32and i'm in boston playing a concert oh a week after but me and flavor wore tatum jerseys because
00:53:40we felt bad that you know what you know really yeah well after the public enemy jersey at the
00:53:45at the beginning of the year i don't like that wait he did yeah of course oh well you got sure i
00:53:52know it's like like once you're like a public i guess world figure you know you saw it's funny
00:53:58man you start hearing from people's parents like like if i went on donovan mitchell you know donovan
00:54:04mitchell's dad was at the mets game because he works with the best so he comes up to me he's like
00:54:09hey i'm donovan mitchell it's like just like yeah i'm his father it's like so you start running into
00:54:14people like jason tatum's mom it's like oh i grew up with you and my son like so i kind of like i'm
00:54:21easy when it comes down to like so if i'm in boston they know i'm a nick fan right and i'm like you
00:54:29know jason kate was a good kid man so you know so he'll come back next year so we can beat him
00:54:34again there you go there we go that's the kind of yeah i'm so happy they won the series another good
00:54:41kid is uh um brown man these these are all i mean look i'm 40 years older than these dudes so i can't
00:54:47be up there crashing them you know nah you can't i'm gonna got so lebron james could be my son so i
00:54:52mean really i so i gotta i gotta put my my fair nick hat on but then put this side these are young
00:54:59young brothers they're doing their thing and and yo we all having fun out here that is that is fair
00:55:05uh predictions in the postseason are hard i'm i'm assuming chuck that there has not been a year
00:55:11where has there been a year where you ever said the nicks are gonna win it all have to have those
00:55:14words ever come out of your mouth yeah and we did oh well then 72 73 but but but oh wait hold on so
00:55:24what i'm seeing is you said that when you were much younger but because of your wisdom and your age now
00:55:31you understand not to do that no more yeah nothing to do with that okay we won in 69 70 right and i tell
00:55:38you know sir earl monroe there said the next year we lost to the bullets in game seven game seven
00:55:46john tresman comes in for the bullets and fills in for gus johnson and kicks the next tail made me cry
00:55:54then the next year we get earl monroe yep we go all but willis reed gets hurt we picked up jerry lucas
00:56:02in the trade for cassie russell we get to the nba finals beat up and wilt chamberlain and jerry
00:56:09rest the same team that won 33 in a row they wipe us four games to one so the next year willis reed is
00:56:16gonna come back we go and sure enough the knicks won 72 say three our last championship 50 some odd
00:56:23years ago yeah i knew it matter fact a good friend of mine mr bibby henry bibby was on that squad so
00:56:29uh i'll be playing a concert and i had to invite him and come on down to the concert but you know
00:56:36henry bibby invited me to the last 50 year celebration but i was i was out of town i was out
00:56:42okay so you couldn't make that one all right yeah last thing before we get out of here oh yeah i did
00:56:48yeah yeah me and other fans we predicted yeah this team is good that's the only time only time okay
00:56:55maybe not maybe not oh i had a feeling it was not check that check that okay give me a couple more
00:57:03seconds definitely after we lost to the rockets oh 94 94 okay yeah well here's the big sense but here's
00:57:12the thing chuck i was 11 years old i thought they were gonna win too and i was wrong that hurt hey hey
00:57:19listen i thought we were gonna finally beat the bulls in 91 we had x-man oh that was that was the
00:57:26beginning of my nick fandom what yeah what crushed me x-man doesn't come back i know i know i know i
00:57:33know all right let me ask you this before we let you go we appreciate all the time yes sir since you
00:57:38will not make a prediction chuck and i don't blame you i made 57 25 well no no sorry let me be
00:57:43a playoff prediction let me not a playoff prediction because because brian did ask you that
00:57:46we have to clarify for 57 25 57 25 is a good prediction by the way and chuck made it but chuck
00:57:52if people are making predictions that i heard this person i won't say his name i saw it earlier
00:57:57that they was predicting orlando would go to the finals that person was smoking something that's
00:58:03starting to get around there's some people who because of that defense they're gonna be tough
00:58:06they're gonna be tough they haven't won a playoff series with that core yet and they're injury
00:58:10prone they're injury prone under under um what's his name moseley moseley system
00:58:15jamal moseley yeah yeah i'm not i could see them getting to like the conference finals but
00:58:20they're gonna be tough they're gonna be rough they might even beat us they think so rough
00:58:24well let me say this if if the knicks are to hoist the lario o'brien trophy in 2026
00:58:31what would you say but he's he's painting a scenario no no i'm just painting a scenario i'm just
00:58:39saying if they are let me ask you guys a question right here we go dex yes if we got to the to the
00:58:45finals last year right and we face okc what what was we looking at i would have predicted okc in six
00:58:53do you know that do you know that last year right i had a run kind of like a running bet
00:58:59because i went out to okc and i had to do a speaking engagement by the number one rapper in
00:59:04oklahoma city right that i helped in his career right he brings me out there so i run in and i do
00:59:10my lecture and who's out there taking notes sam presti so i'm like up there and the mayor of okc is out
00:59:17there oh here i am in october i think october and i said you know what next next year um when
00:59:26the knicks play okc i'm gonna fly back out so i flew back out i saw that and i was courtside and
00:59:31all that yeah with with the mayor and jb you know big up to jb so we up there watching this squad and
00:59:39the knicks was handing it to him that's the game early january yeah and then for some reason i
00:59:46had to go to the bathroom in the fourth quarter and it's like something turned quickly i think
00:59:49wiggins went off against us and the game just flipped in the fourth quarter but we were tossing
00:59:55them around like ragdolls why'd you go why'd you go to the bathroom mr chuck d i went to the bathroom
01:00:01i came out i kind of blame you and then i kind of blame you and dex two and two weeks later they
01:00:06come to the garden and why i was there for that game i was in the building for that said i was there
01:00:11for that that was not good but if we had faced them in the finals what do y'all think would have
01:00:15happened i say i say okc and six brian what would you what would you have said i thought they would
01:00:20have lost to boston so yeah but but but but but but chuck
01:00:27i couldn't believe that yeah i couldn't believe that that's why i make no predictions but but if
01:00:37they if if they are going to win it if if the big if here chuck if they do win it in 2026 they're
01:00:45hosting that trophy in your mind what has to go right for the knicks this year in order for them
01:00:50to win it all we got to get past ob top and then mcconnell mcconnell's already hurt by the way
01:00:59you just want to get you just want to get past the pacers you don't want to see if they make the
01:01:04playoffs we don't even know like we don't know what their season's gonna look like i just want
01:01:08to get past them chuck's like i just don't want to see the pace that could be the first round match
01:01:12it could be pacers have cut our hearts out the last three years yeah we can't we can't deny it
01:01:21no it did the facts all right i know i gotta go you guys gotta game one against the pacers oh come
01:01:28on did that not cut your heart we did the watch party and i was sitting right here as it was crazy
01:01:34i didn't know when the ball went up right halberton's ball goes up the only other time anybody's seen
01:01:41that since that don nelson shot that helped beat the lakers i know you're talking about
01:01:46i've seen that i couldn't believe it how long was that ball in the air too long too dex thought it
01:01:56was over he was like whoa he was like whoa and then we it went in and we i screamed because i was so
01:02:03surprised what and i just looked at brian like this and then i was like and then i pointed out his foot
01:02:09was on the line and then chuck you remember they had an they had an opportunity still to win that
01:02:14game in overtime and that's that that that turned the series i thought that turned the series of
01:02:19course if you don't want game ones and that's one thing if you don't want game ones in the playoffs
01:02:23you have done game ones man mean everything i don't want to think about game one and now chuck
01:02:32made me think about game one i don't want game ones are everything game ones are everything we didn't
01:02:37win game one when we first get that got this playoff run we didn't beat the hawks game one
01:02:43after we was whipping their tail all year long hawks beat us game one yep we're climbing uphill ever
01:02:48since so with the speed the type of nba it is now you gotta get you gotta get that game one man
01:02:53facts now that that's good that everybody is the great chuck d check him out everywhere
