00:00Do you think you were rewarded by fearlessness?
00:16Yeah, probably. It's one of the words we use in the build-up to the game.
00:23The way I'd like us to approach the game.
00:25It takes a lot more than that, clearly. It takes a bit of a structure of what you do without the ball.
00:31It takes real desire, resilience, character, how you react to different situations.
00:38The prime example being when they get the goal, just on the break at half-time and what that can do for a team.
00:45It's been two games in a row now where we've had disappointment just before half-time.
00:49The message was we don't take a step back, we take a step forward in the second half.
00:55When we start, we take the game to them.
00:57I thought that was the key for me in terms of how we approached that first 10 to 15 minutes of the second half.
01:03I think you can feed their confidence if you take a step back.
01:06They will sense that and they will take real advantage of it.
01:10We didn't allow that. Thank you.
01:12What is most of the result for the performances from a very happy break?
01:16Yeah, I think the team's growing, clearly.
01:22If you look at the results that we had earlier in the season, they were in slightly different ways.
01:27I feel like we're getting different types of performances now as the team grows, the confidence grows,
01:32the relationships of the players, the rapport of the players and the trust within the group.
01:36I think it's been key as we've taken these steps forward.
01:41So, the performance obviously led to the result and it was one I felt we deserved.
01:47I didn't feel I could change the team after Monday night and I suppose it ties into the growth of the group
02:08and where we're looking to push it on a few different fronts.
02:13Physically, we're continuing to build that and how we look, how sharp we look and how strong we look,
02:19building the players' minutes that they can last at that intensity for 90 minutes,
02:23some of them, because the outputs that they are doing are really significant.
02:26It kind of made my mind up pretty soon after West Ham that I didn't want to change the team or the system
02:34and we'd find ways within that to deal with what they would naturally do,
02:38which is force your lower time and you have to defend deep.
02:41I thought the midfielders in particular dealt with that well, wide players dropping down on occasions,
02:46but I thought we were excellent winning that system.
02:53Kier, just three wins in four, ten from the table, how pleased are you with how things go?
02:59Delighted, clearly. It's been a bit of a slow burnout this season, I think, understandably.
03:07I just can see it day-to-day, week-to-week, the evolution of the group and the individuals
03:15and it's very pleasing to see that grow and that rapport and spirit within the group
03:22just become stronger and stronger from a really natural place.
03:26It's not forced, it's natural.
03:28It's a special group to be around on a day-to-day basis, a special football club to be at.
03:33So, yeah, I'm really happy with how things are going.
03:36It's a particularly difficult run of home fixtures. Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool
03:44lost only one, draw in two wins. It could be the making of a group run of results.
03:52Yeah, difficult games, clearly, the nature of the opposition and I think for us as well,
03:58step by step, we're just showing that we can do it in different ways,
04:03be a bit more aggressive how much we press, higher up the pitch,
04:07we get a little bit more control of possession and how we do things,
04:11whether it's in a back four or back five and the attacking players we have,
04:16we have to just continue to feed them because they're a really dangerous attacking unit.
04:22When you involve the full-backs and how they bomb on, underlapping and overlapping
04:25and the types of midfielders that we have with the attributes they have,
04:30yeah, we're moving in the right direction for sure.
04:35I know you were so thrilled after the West Ham result,
04:38but I wonder where does this rank for you now in terms of your total challenges?
04:41Yeah, we've just been the Premier League champions, so pretty highly, yeah.
04:47It was obviously a little bit made around their form coming into it, naturally,
04:52because they set the bar so, so high, but I think when you strip it back,
04:58they are world-class players, they constantly throw different challenges at you,
05:03the way they build, the structure they try and get to pull you into different directions
05:07and I thought we dealt with that in the development of our group in terms of
05:11they were problem-solving a lot on the pitch,
05:13you know, before we got little messages on to maybe tweet things in terms of their positions,
05:17after they made substitutions, etc.
05:20It's a big result for the football club, I think, to be the Premier League champions,
05:24but it's especially a big result because of maybe the nature around our next chapter as a football club,
05:31and certainly for me, it's a big evening.
05:33You also spoke in the week about wanting to be a difficult place for teams to visit,
05:39and you must be pleased with that in mind as well.
05:41Yeah, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I felt the teams were coming here
05:46and having a comfortable game, I really wouldn't.
05:49I can't be that head coach, manager, where you allow teams to dictate the game
05:56and come and have a stroll and win games, that would eat me alive.
06:03And we won't be that, we don't have that group,
06:05so we will always try to find ways of getting results, however that may be.
06:11Anything else?
06:13Thank you very much.
06:15See you.
06:16Okay.
