00:00Josko, many congratulations on your new contract. How does it feel to be extending your time in Manchester?
00:06First of all, thank you very much. I'm really happy that I'm here giving you an interview
00:13which means that I've signed a new deal and I'm really looking forward to be here, to stay here
00:20and to play here for many, many years.
00:23Why does your decision to stay at City feel like the right one?
00:26I mean, it's been three years and we have achieved a lot of things here together.
00:32Also, the new manager is here as well. I just felt that this is the right club for me, for
00:39my family as well
00:40and I think I have everything I need here and I really like it here in Manchester.
00:46Since moving to Manchester three years ago, how do you feel like you've grown as a player on the pitch
00:50and off it?
00:53Yeah, so I remember my first season when I arrived here I was 21, I think. I was about turn
01:0121.
01:03Back then I was still young. I think in these three years I've learned a lot of things from all
01:11my teammates,
01:11my friends in the dressing room and on the pitch and I would say as well from our staff for
01:20the last three years.
01:23So I would say I still think that there is a lot of things to improve, to learn, but I'm
01:29only 24 and I think I have enough time too.
01:33You already have six honours with City. How do you keep yourself motivated?
01:39It wasn't that easy. First of all, it wasn't that easy, but just being here, just being surrounded by all
01:48these great names, players, characters.
01:51You know, you see them every day pushing, pushing, training harder and harder every day.
01:55And obviously we achieved a lot of things together and as I said, my only wish is that we continue
02:01that way.
02:02And of those honours and your time here, is there a special moment that sticks out for you?
02:07I would say my favourite one and the most difficult one to win is the Premier League trophy, especially because
02:14in my first season I've given an interview
02:16and I said that only a few Croatian players have won the trophy and finally I've done it in my
02:24first season, you know, somehow.
02:26And I think that's my favourite one.
02:30So looking forward, we have a new manager in Enzo Morescu. How much are you looking forward to working with
02:35him?
02:36Yeah, so most of the guys, they've had the opportunity before to work with him. I haven't met him before.
02:43So I'm really looking forward. I think he is one of the best as well. I mean, we all know
02:50the job he's done at Chelsea.
02:54So I'm really happy that he's here with us and I think we can learn something new from his ideas
03:01and his mentality.
03:03And how do you think Morescu's style of play suits you?
03:06To be fair, I think it's quite similar that we've been playing for the last three years.
03:12But I remember when he was at Chelsea, it was quite difficult to play against them, especially away, and we
03:20struggled.
03:22So now he's here and I think we can achieve some great things altogether.
03:29You've worked very hard to come back from that injury last season. Is there a lot more to come from
03:33you this year then?
03:35Yeah, it wasn't easy. It took me five months to come back.
03:44Yeah, it's a new season and I'm really looking forward. Hopefully I think I'm fit.
03:51It's my first day, so I can't wait to start our pre-season. And yeah, especially because last season I
04:00was away from the pitch.
04:02You know, I think this year I need to push even more harder.
04:04The fans have a strong affinity towards you. How would you describe your connection with the fans?
04:09Yeah, it's nice. I think it's not just me. I think it's everyone. They've been amazing for the last couple
04:16of years and even more.
04:20And we like it, especially when we play crucial games at Etihad, so we need them.
04:27I like to say they're like our 12th player.
04:30And finally, what are your ambitions going forward for you and for the team?
04:35First of all, I wish that everyone stay healthy. And then obviously the season's going to be long as always.
04:43And we need to go game by game and try to win each one, you know.
