01:35he's on sunday night football every week he used to be the head of trading at points bet and he said
01:40yesterday on the show like it's annoying like legalized sports betting for people in and when
01:45they hit in his old role because he would get called when like an nfl preseason game would move
01:50four points like something happening here what's going on he'd be like well no like the cowboys are
01:54benching all their starters like that's what's happening legalized sports betting allows bad
01:59actors i feel like i'm like the razzies right now allows bad actors to be caught and makes it more
02:04possible that they're caught so that would be part one part two is the idea if anyone wants to say
02:11this happens because of legalized sports betting the unsaid implication there is that there was no
02:19tomfoolery or malfeasance that ever happened prior to sports betting being legalized which
02:24obviously is not true people have been cheating forever whether it's at card games whether it's
02:29shaving points in in basketball whether it's soccer goalies throwing matches etc this has been going on
02:36forever it will go on forever this is human nature humans are going to try to skirt issues humans are
02:42going to try to look for shortcuts and try and make money any way that they can so like legalized sports
02:48betting cause this like are you an ostrich like is your head in the sand you think this never
02:52happened prior to sports betting being legalized and the other thing would be who said that this
02:56never happened who said that this is only happening because legalized sports betting well you haven't
03:02heard anyone say that anyone say yes no it sounds like a pretty big cause of this make it illegal you
03:07didn't hear anyone say that i heard people say that they should make betting illegal but nobody said
03:11that i was listening to that had anything that i would listen to them say that that stated that this only
03:16occurred because we have legalized sports betting i think that's a pretty big story
03:19curtis it's the same thing when you're saying make sports betting illegal versus legalized sports
03:25betting closet it's the same thing no it's not you can see that the what happened with shohei was not
03:30through legalized sports betting what what happened in in this case was largely driven by under
03:35you know undercover conversations between an associate of lebron james and betting with this
03:41la cosa nostra like i feel like what what people are saying when it says
03:45we can't have legalized sports betting is that this is impossible to legislate we shouldn't be
03:49having this going on especially with like college athletes two days ago being okayed to bet on sports
03:55like i feel like that that is what people are talking about not but it's not a plus b equals c
03:59it's this happened so we need to reevaluate how we have legalized sports betting and how
04:04what do you mean and what are they saying like like what is the solution well i mean for me if you're
04:10asking me i don't know what there's not been a lot of solutions i'm not asking you personally what
04:13the solution is but what i'm saying you're saying that no one's saying that and i'm saying that's
04:17categorically false that lots of people have said it and i had to do 30 minutes on my show yesterday
04:21which i didn't want to do because i like talking about games i had to do 30 minutes on my show
04:26yesterday talking about this because like i'm getting tons of messages from people like do you
04:31think is sports betting going to become illegal now like do you like politicians attacking it like
04:35people in the media attacking it sports betting can't be legal prop betting can't be legal like
04:40and i'm sure in terms of an audience nick i'm sure you had a huge audience it's good for business in
04:45that regard people were tuning in to hear what you said about it because you're an expert on it
04:48well like yeah like that doesn't mean i i i don't like talking about i understand that i have to
04:53i'd rather i'd rather talk about like the patriots browns game i'm not saying it's not an important
04:58story but like you are saying that no one thinks that legalized sports betting is the cause of this
05:03and that is absolutely false would you agree that perhaps more people way more people notice
05:11and wonder if it is sus because they are where you can't use that word you're too old because they
05:19are because they are wagering and because they're into it and so when a flag is thrown or a field goal
05:25is missed and it affects the over like i don't you think that there are more people that are in tune
05:31with it and maybe we were uh ignorantly or uh blissfully ignorant of it prior to this
05:38yes okay yeah yeah i think that that i'd agree with that that's because there's plenty of times
05:45but like but like but what's like the second part of that though like yeah of course that of course
05:49the answer to that question is yes there doesn't have to be anything i'm just i'm just saying that
05:53you know it's it's it's the uh what curtis is saying or maybe curtis isn't even saying it
05:59i just think there is more of an opportunity to make money because of legalized wagering
06:06there is more of an opportunity for those that are going to act in a nefarious way
06:11to make money you just have to find the find the bookie or find the uh mafioso or if i like it just i
06:19think it it's easier to do it it's not it's not a bad thing nobody's coming after your salary i mean
06:23it's you know it's not a bad thing but it also may it may help this was my lead this morning nick that it
06:28could help them regulate to make sure that players aren't doing anything illegal like before they
06:34could have just done it and the way in which to do it is go through a bunch of different bookies
06:37and they never get caught now i think it's much easier to catch these guys it it absolutely is and
06:43like the what what i would say is if they're so i asked curtis before like what's the solution
06:47i think a fair solution to this would be i i don't think there needs to be and let's just use
06:52the nba as an example right like i i don't even know if like the celtics all the turnover on their
06:58roster who's like the eighth guy on the celtics now that comes off the bench um marty conlin no
07:04i would say the eighth guy no he starts jesus um i would say oh josh josh minute my not my not
07:13okay sure like there doesn't need to be a prop props listed for that player
07:18you don't need props for like the eighth guy off the bench and you probably shouldn't be allowed
07:24to same game parlay which is like when you multiply it right so you know there was an instance i want

07:36talking about like before a warriors game that draymond green was gonna like start he had like a
07:40start streak or something and this happened with michael bridges with the nets a couple years ago also
07:43and he said to the media like yeah he's he's coming in and then he's coming out right and like for
07:48some reason it didn't get blown up like it would get blown up today in terms of betting stuff and
07:53people were able to same game parlay all of draymond's unders and make like a ton of money
07:57yeah now draymond's obviously a star player but like the point kind of holds a little bit right
08:01if you have the eighth guy off the bench who's not steph curry or you know jaylen brown where your
08:07eyes are on this player all the time like if jaylen brown dribbles the ball off his knee four times
08:11and a half you're gonna be like he's shaving points correct he's really good when you get the josh
08:16minot whoever that is if he does that you're like okay he just sucks like i had luca garza plus

09:10find them on social media it's almost like it's not debatable what he's doing this is like the

09:25this is something that could get regulated right and you can make the case for it like first baller

09:42think it is that someone will get away with that like tonight if they try to tonight probably not
09:47or tomorrow not likely i would say it's close to impossible how do you get away with it now now that
09:53it's happened and like there's film of it because now you can match that where if someone does that
09:58and you can go to bet mgm or like like fan duel or draft kings and you can say okay like this guy
10:05did this and there's a couple specific instances of this player doing this in a game was there any
10:11suspicious betting activity around this player and their props it'll be easy to root this stuff out

12:36dislike him for the things that he says what i'm saying is is that i believe that what comes out of
12:41his mouth to him is true so when he says that he has no animosity towards the packers i believe him
12:47because i think if he did have animosity towards the packers he'd say it in some underhanded way so

14:35and the cowboys offense which is elite and i actually for as good as the broncos defenses i i trust the
14:41cowboys offense a little bit more so i do like the three and a half with dallas my favorite bet of
14:45the week has to be carolina uh i'd like to get seven and a half that number existed all week now
14:50we're at seven at home against buffalo i i think the bills they're not bad because josh allen's so
14:57good like you can't be bad if you have josh allen their defense is terrible and like they're not going
15:02to get to the super bowl like they're not going to win it everyone's going to be really disappointed
