After offering to pay off a fine for BYU students, he stepped up even bigger!
Transcript
00:00BYU beat Utah in the annual Holy War game, as it's called, and BYU fans stormed the field.
00:10So excited, right?
00:12They're usually a docile people.
00:13Right.
00:13Oh, not tonight, right?
00:15So they all stormed the field, and then the conference was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, you can't storm the field.
00:20So they threatened a $50,000 fine.
00:23Yikes.
00:24But that's when the CEO of cookie-making company Crumble.
00:30I know.
00:31Said, wait a minute.
00:32These guys are kids, right?
00:34Guys and girls stormed the field.
00:35They're excited.
00:36I will pay the fine.
00:40Okay, and I will say that that means that really I paid the fine because we've probably eaten $50,000 worth of Crumble in the last year.
00:48Crumble is so fantastically delicious.
00:51It's like my go-to thing to send over to a couple who just found out they were pregnant, right?
00:58Or like somebody who just got engaged, like a gift, and they can deliver it right to their house.
01:02But then ultimately, the conference said, you know what?
01:05We reviewed some stuff.
01:06All good.
01:07We're not going to fine you.
01:08Okay.
01:08So the CEO is like, well, wait a minute.
01:11I just offered to pay $50,000.
01:13Right.
01:13Now I'm going to look like a jerk for not doing anything.
01:16I have to do something.
01:17You are spot on, Andy Summers.
01:19Go, Crumble guy.
01:20He decided to turn it around and pay off $90,000 in student lunch debt for the Salt Lake City and Provo School Districts.
01:30Amazing.
01:31So he originally said, I'll pay $50,000 to the conference for this fine.
01:37That didn't come through.
01:38And he said, I want to do something even bigger and better.
01:40$90,000 of lunch debts to help free it up for families.
01:44Amazing.
01:45How incredible is that?
01:46And you know, I mean, it's even more satisfying knowing it's coming from Crumble.
01:50Right.
01:51That is the most delicious debt-free lunch ever.
01:54Ever.
