Did you know your household fruit tree netting could be illegal? Legislation advises for use of nets with a mesh size larger than 5mm x 5mm at full stretch. In Victoria, wildlife officers can issue on-the-spot fines of $395, with offenders facing a maximum penalty of $2,964 if prosecuted in court.
