00:00A decision to use our air wing to travel to Hobart for this very important conference.

00:08I will repeat that the decision to do that was the wrong decision.

00:15I've reflected strongly on that and for a number of reasons,

00:20particularly in terms of how the public perceived this

00:24and how my people, the staff of Victoria Police perceived this,

00:28it was the wrong thing to do.

00:32I have apologised and I will apologise again to Victorians,

00:37especially considering what's going on in terms of the safety of Victorians

00:43and the crime landscape that currently challenges us.
