00:09I am addicted to consuming drugs and sometimes it's hard for me to control my nafs.

00:16What can I do to achieve discipline and stop consuming drugs?

00:23As far as the ruling on drugs is concerned,

00:26Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is very clear in Surah Maidah, chapter number 5, verse number 90.

00:31Ya ayyuh annaasu inna...

00:32Ya alidhina amanu.

00:36Inna malqamru al-majsuru.

00:38Or you believe more certainly in toxin and gambling.

00:41Wal-anthabu al-azlamu.

00:42Dedication of stone, divination of arud.

00:44Rishthumim le shaitan.

00:46These are Satan's handiwork.

00:47First, the niblululukum tuflioon.

00:48Abstain from the handiwork that you may prosper.

00:50Here Allah is saying that

00:52Ya ayyuh al-lazina amun.

00:54Or you believe.

00:55Inna malqamru al-majsuru.

00:57Most certainly intoxicants and gambling.

00:59Here intoxicants

01:00means, doesn't only mean alcohol.

01:04It means all sorts of intoxicants

01:06including drugs.

01:07So anything which intoxicates you,

01:10which makes you lose

01:12your senses,

01:14whether it be alcohol, whether it be whiskey,

01:16whether it be drugs,

01:17aharam.

01:18So this verse prohibits a person

01:20from having drugs.

01:21The question poses that

01:23I am a drug addict

01:25and how can he

01:27prevent himself

01:28from stopping this erection.

01:30Number one

01:32is that you see to it

01:35that you read the Quran.

01:38You read the Quran

01:39along with understanding.

01:42Read the translation of the Quran

01:43in the language you understand the best.

01:45The Quran

01:46is a healing for mankind.

01:48The Quran says

01:49in Surah Isra

01:50chapter number 17

01:51verse number 81

01:52that in the Quran

01:53there is healing for mankind.

01:55So number one

01:56would be that

01:57you read the Quran

01:58along with Arabic

01:59even the translation

02:00and many a times

02:02it will open up

02:03your doors.

02:04At the same time

02:05the Quran says

02:06in Surah Nahal

02:07chapter 16

02:07verse 43

02:08and Surah Ambiya

02:09chapter number 21

02:10verse number 7

02:11If you don't know

02:17ask the person

02:18who is knowledgeable.

02:19So what you have to do

02:20is you have to go

02:21to an expert

02:22go to a medical doctor

02:24who is expert

02:25in de-addiction.

02:27So there are people

02:28there are specialists

02:29who are expert

02:30in de-addiction.

02:32So when you go

02:33to the specialist

02:33they will tell you

02:34they will guide you

02:35how to try

02:37and de-addict yourself

02:38from the drug

02:39that you are addicted to.

02:40Based on the drug

02:41you are taking

02:42maybe they will give you

02:43an alternate dose

02:44they may give you

02:45an injection

02:45which will prevent you

02:46from depending upon

02:47which drug it is.

02:49So you haven't mentioned

02:49which drug it is

02:50so based on that

02:51if you go to a specialist

02:53the specialist

02:54will give you

02:54a special diet

02:55will tell you

02:56what to do

02:56what not to do

02:57and will show you

02:58things

02:59how

02:59can you

03:02relieve yourself

03:03from this erection.

03:04But as I said

03:05number one is the Quran

03:06see to it

03:07that you offer salah

03:07but naturally

03:09when you are intoxicated

03:10you can't offer salah

03:11you should not

03:12read the Quran

03:13so when you are sober

03:17is not there

03:18then see to it

03:19that you read the Quran

03:20you offer the salah

03:22and you ask

03:23Allah for help.

03:29see to it

03:30that you pray to him

03:32in your sujood

03:33in your tahajud

03:34you pray your tahajud

03:35in the last one third

03:36of night

03:37in your sujood

03:38you ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

03:39to relieve you

03:41from this addiction

03:41and inshallah

03:43Allah will help you

03:43while you are doing this

03:45while you are praying

03:46while you are reading the Quran

03:47while you are offering salah

03:48while you are seeking Allah

03:50at the same time

03:51even go to a specialist

03:53he will tell you ways

03:55how to rid yourself

03:57from this drug

03:58and inshallah

03:59I pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

04:00may you get de-addicted

04:02and see to it

04:04that Allah stops you

04:05from this addiction

04:06which is haram
