00:00...to look as real and truthful as possible.
00:04And when Rob, when it turned out that he was incredibly passionate about Norse mythology and the Viking culture,
00:14it felt like the obvious choice or a dream choice for us.
00:22And so after that meeting, I spoke to Lars and we both agreed that Rob would be the perfect director for this project.
00:30And so we asked him, and to our great delight, he said that he wanted to jump on board.
00:40And so that was kind of the genesis of this collaboration between the three of us.
00:46The plan was to be as accurate as possible, and just the amount of research that went into this was extraordinary.
00:55There would be conversations about, is this not the right century, but the right decade?
01:06Would this scene look like this?
01:07Well, this is more Eastern Sweden than Iceland this decade.
01:17Or what would this brooch look like?
01:20Would that be the right scene?
01:22Would that, would that, it was, as an actor, a dream to step into that outfit,
01:30because you felt that the attention to detail and the passion behind it.
01:37And it was imperative to not make it, try to make it look cool.
01:40I think you, often in, you can take a lot of creative freedom.
01:49I'm all for that, and make your characters look cool, even if at the time they might have looked very different.
01:58We chose not to do that.
02:00We chose to be, try to be as accurate as possible.
02:04He's in this berserker bubble and is just, has no real drive.
02:15He doesn't really, he doesn't really know what his fate is.
02:21He's forgotten about that until he is reminded.
02:25There's an encounter with Asiris, played by Bjork, who has a spiritual connection,
02:35and she knows who he is, and what his fate is, and reminds him of it.
02:43And because of that, the next morning, an opportunity, an opportunity arises to,
02:51to find Fjolnir, his uncle, and to save his mother.
02:55And that's how we kind of embark on the adventure, and it's him finding his uncle.
