00:00It was a garden party last night. Madison Square Garden was the place to be tip-off in the Mecca
00:04of basketball, and it saw the New York Knicks 119-111 victors over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
00:10Now, the Cavaliers are supposed to win the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are supposed
00:12to be right on their tails here. Nice win for the Knicks opening night, which included
00:16a pretty balanced effort. Ananobi, 24 points. Carl Anthony Towns, 19 points. Mikel Bridges,
00:2116 points. Jalen Brunson, 23 points. And Miles McBride off the bench, 15 points here,
00:26which saw, how about this, 19 of 46. Three-point range here for the Cleveland Cavaliers, 41%.
00:3214 of 40 for the New York Knicks, 35%. Away they go. Victors, the New York Knicks. Hey,
00:38could be their year this year, Joe. Could be. Yeah, we were told Cat wasn't playing in the
00:45middle of the afternoon yesterday, and then all of a sudden we were told, nope, he's available to
00:50play. So he's dealing with some sort of issue there, I believe, in the issue. But he was able
00:55to go out there and get it. And go figure, Mike Brown and the Knicks, they looked a little bit
01:02different last night. They got contributions, like you said, Donnie, you read it off, up and down
01:06the roster here last night, which is great because last year they had no bench. They didn't have
01:12Mitchell Robinson last night. They didn't have, you know, Hart last night. So they had a lot of
01:18guys step up and play big minutes. And the Cavs just looked about as uninterested, but they didn't
01:23have Garland either. They were missing a few guys on the floor last night. But all in all,
01:29great job by the Knicks to start the season off with a win in front of the Madison Square Garden
01:34home crowd.
