00:00NBA action on the hardwood last night game in Madison Square Garden saw the Knicks win 108-102
00:05over the Joel Embiidless Philadelphia 76ers who had the lead at the end of one, the lead at halftime,
00:10the lead after the third quarter, and a chance to win in the fourth quarter, but the Knicks were
00:13just too strong down the stretch. Let's hear now from both coaches postgame. The way you guys
00:19closed in that fourth quarter, you guys were having such a good fourth quarter team in the
00:23regular season, but she didn't really have a close win yet. This plans, you know, blowout wins,
00:27just, you know, how encouraging is that, or how much did you like the way you guys closed
00:31out the stretch? You know, like I said, it's, the shot's not going to always go in, and, you
00:38know, you got to give Phillies defense some credit, you know, just like, you know, you
00:44got to give our defense some credit, but we know we miss some shots that we normally make,
00:48and they miss some shots that they normally make, so, you know, it's about trying to figure
00:53out a way to get a stop. That's, that's what you can control more than the ball going in,
00:58and I thought our guys did a decent job of that going, as we were going down the stretch
01:04without fouling.
01:05Yeah, I mean, first of all, thank you. I mean,
01:13I had a lot of, a lot of people reach out, obviously.
01:16It means a lot to my family. I appreciate Coach Brown and what he said yesterday at his
01:22press conference and all the other people as well. I mean, kind of the film and the practice
01:28and the game and all that stuff kind of takes care of some time, right? But, you know, I'm
01:37a coach and my brother would expect me to be. You know, he, he was a huge fan, but we'll
01:45keep it. You know, he wants, he wants us to go play. He wants us to play hard, so that's
01:50what we're going to try to do tonight.
01:52Nick Nurse there coming back, as you've seen, from a death in the family. Looks like the
01:55wear and tear on him. Team fought really hard. Game number three will be back in Philadelphia,
01:59but no Joel Embiid. That news came out, Joel, mid-afternoon. Embiid banged up hip and ankle
02:04injuries. Come on, man. Always disappearing in the playoffs.
02:08Yeah, just unfortunate, too. But, listen, they still had a shot to win it, Donnie, and
02:14that's all that matters, right? You had a shot to win it. You were actually leading that game
02:19for most, and, you know, the Knicks made a few more plays down the stretch than the Sixers
02:24did, and that was the difference in this game, unfortunately, for them.
