00:00Sometimes you take a look at those New York Knicks and understand the equation here.
00:03It was a few weeks ago where Mike Brown and the Knicks dropped round one by the Hawks
00:09until they went on this epic winning streak.
00:11And that looks like nobody can stop the Knicks.
00:13And more importantly, nobody can stay within 10 points of the New York Knicks
00:16as they wipe out the Cleveland Cavaliers.
00:19130 to 93 in a series sweep that now sets them up for like six weeks off before the NBA
00:26Finals.
00:26This Knicks run has been incredible, Kevin.
00:31Yeah, it's been historic.
00:34Teams don't do this.
00:36You don't usually sweep in the semis and the conference finals,
00:39regardless of how the chips fall.
00:43Usually, whether your opponent is just on or you're off,
00:50you drop a game to a team you're not supposed to drop a game to.
00:54And that just has not happened for the Knicks.
00:57This whole run here, since they turned it around against Atlanta,
01:01it is a memorable run.
01:05I think, incredibly, it may end up being more memorable than anything
01:10that either of the Western Conference teams end up doing,
01:13even if they were to become the champion.
01:15Like, it's a run you will reference, right?
01:19Like, the next time someone is just completely running roughshod in the posy
01:24and you're like, they look like the 2026 Knicks.
01:27Like, that'll be the comparison that people will make down the road.
01:32So, they get a world of credit here for what they've done,
01:38the way they've turned things around.
01:40I don't, you know, we don't give out Coach of the Year based on the postseason,
01:43but if they could just create a postseason Coach of the Year
01:47to give Mike Brown some acknowledgement for the way he, you know,
01:51flipped the script here, I think that would be worthy.
01:56They're never going to be a favorite, no matter who they play here, Kev.
02:00But at the same time, the longer this series goes,
02:03and we've got a Game 5 tonight in the Western Conference,
02:07the more it favors them.
02:09I mean, I'm not sure when the market might realize that I think the Knicks
02:12have a pretty good chance the way this is set up here,
02:15as opposed to if, oh, I don't know, OKC had run through San Antonio already
02:20and was up three games to none.
02:21I think there's a pretty good opportunity here for the Knicks,
02:25or at least advantage for us, to get some value on the Knicks.
02:28Yeah, the Knicks have been a tempting price, right?
02:31Especially if you were not fooled by finding Cleveland, you know,
02:37into thinking they could actually beat the Knicks, right?
02:39The Knicks were a little bit better than 5-1
02:41when the final four of it all was set, right?
02:44And they're still, I think, better than plus 200
02:47to win the NBA championship.
02:49The one thing I will say, and people, it's tough when you do this
02:54because it sounds like you're taking away all the credit.
02:56I'm not, I just gave the Knicks all the credit, right?
02:59But if you do look at the opponents
03:01and you compare it to what waits out West,
03:03you cannot overstate that gap.
03:07The Atlanta Hawks were nothing but a cast of unproven characters.
03:12The 76ers were off of a game seven
03:15and didn't even have him bead for all of the games,
03:18and clearly he wasn't himself.
03:20Cleveland was off of multiple game sevens.
03:23And by the way, the Knicks, the three seed,
03:26had home court in the conference finals.
03:28That's not supposed to happen.
03:30A 60-win basketball team, regardless,
03:33awaits them who will have home court advantage.
03:37There's rest in between.
03:39It's the way the NBA does it.
03:40I think even if it went seven, you'll get like three days off,
03:43whether it being Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
03:45So the Knicks have set themselves up absolutely brilliantly.
03:51But now we went from a place where people were saying
03:55that the NBA finals were the Western Conference finals,
03:58which was ridiculous and dismissive.
04:00I think we're – I don't – we can't course correct too much, though.
04:04Like, this is a huge step up for the Knicks
04:06when they play either Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
04:10Let me put a bow in the series, too, because the Knicks –
