00:00The next question, my name is Murad Hayat. I am basically from Pakistan but now I am living in UK.
00:10My question is, I know that everything in the Quran is 100% the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
00:17When you preach to an atheist that Quran is the word of God and that Quran is revealed 1400 years back
00:25and if the atheist asks the question, what is the proof that Quran is revealed 1400 years back, what should be the reply?
00:44When the atheist asks that what is the proof that the Quran is 1400 years old,
00:49normally in history there are certain requirements to call it a historical fact, the rules and regulation.
00:59But the rules and regulation for any hadith to be sahih was discussed by me in the last session.
01:10And the requirements of a hadith to be sahih is far more stringent than what is the requirement for historical facts.
01:16For the Quran, it is much more stringent.
01:20For the Quran, for every verse of the Quran to be proved that it's the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is far more stringent.
01:28I just give you a brief how the Quran was revealed and how it was compiled and how did the musaf that we have today came into existence.
01:38We know that the glorious Quran is the last and final revelation that was revealed by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to the last and final Messiah, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
01:51Now whenever a revelation was revealed to a beloved Prophet Muhammad, he used to memorize it and after memorizing it, he used to repeat it to the sahibas.
02:03He had made a committee of the sahibas who were called as scribes.
02:08So whenever he used to repeat it, the sahibas used to write it down on maybe blades of bones, on stones and the Prophet used to ask them to repeat it.
02:21And then he used to hear it and he used to rectify if there were any mistakes.
02:27So the the wahi was revealed by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through archangel Gabriel to a beloved Prophet.
02:34The Prophet memorized it.
02:35He repeated it to the sahibas.
02:38The sahibas wrote it down.
02:39He asked the sahibas to read it again.
02:41And he corrected it if there were any mistakes.
02:44That means it was personally checked by the beloved Prophet.
02:47Whatever was written of the Quran was personally checked by a Prophet.
02:52And every Ramadan, the Prophet used to repeat whatever was revealed to him, to archangel Gabriel.
02:59That means the Prophet used to counter-check with archangel Gabriel.
03:03That means whatever was revealed, whatever was memorized, was it correct or not.
03:08And before the Prophet died in the last Ramadan, he rehearsed the Quran twice with archangel Gabriel.
03:15So the complete revelation is verbatim from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
03:19Even the order, though the revelation didn't come in the order that we have today, but the order also was divine.
03:28Archangel Gabriel used to inform the Prophet.
03:30And finally, in the last Ramadan before the Prophet expired, before his demise, he rehearsed the Quran twice.
03:40Verbatim, the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, in the same order, which was dictated and checked and was written down in different materials.
03:49After the Prophet died, six months after his death, there was a battle, there was a war, the battle of Yamama, where about 70 Huffahs were killed.
04:01And this troubled, Hz. Tumar and Hz. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with them.
04:09They were the first and the second caliph of Islam.
04:12At that time, Hz. Tumar, may Allah be pleased with him, told Hz. Tumar, may Allah be pleased with him, that many of the Uffahs have been killed.
04:19And if this continues, then these people who know the Quran by heart, we will lose the Quran.
04:25So, they called one of the sahibahs, that is, Zaid bin Thamit, may Allah be pleased with him, they called him, and Hz. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
04:34that you, we know, are one of the persons that has memorized the Quran best.
04:40We know you're honest, we know your memory is good, we know you're truthful, why don't you make a committee and write down, collect all the material,
04:52and check it up, and write down the Quran, and check up in one particular material.
05:01The Quran that was written down, was in different, different types of material.
05:06So, Zaid bin Thamit, may Allah be pleased with him, he was made the head of the committee, and with other sahabas,
05:12they wrote the Quran in one particular homogenous material.
05:16And they verified it, and they rechecked it, and then it was given to Hz. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him.
05:23When he died, it was given to Hz. Umar, may Allah be pleased with him.
05:26When Hz. Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, died, he gave it to his daughter Hafsa, may Allah be pleased with her,
05:32who was also the wife of the Prophet.
05:35And, the third caliph of Islam, Hz. Usman, may Allah be pleased with him,
05:40when he realized that there were people reciting the Quran in different dialects,
05:44so what he decided, that let us copy from the original Musaf,
05:48which was checked up by the committee of the scribes, at the time of the Prophet,
05:56from different materials they collected, and they wrote in homogenous form.
06:00This is the authentic, verified Quran, by the Prophet, himself peace be upon him.
06:06So, he made copies of it, copied from it, and sent to different parts of the world,
06:12to Mecca, to Medina, to Damascus, in different parts, maybe about six or seven,
06:19he made copies and sent to different portions.
06:21And, the other variant, the people who had their own version,
06:26but which were not checked by the Prophet, or have different dialects,
06:30which were not the authentic seven dialects that were allowed by Allah,
06:34Hz. Usman, may Allah be pleased with him, he burned all the other copies,
06:40so that it will not be mixed with the original.
06:42And, this, many of the sahabas, I did what it was right,
06:45not that there were different copies of the Quran,
06:48but one was the original, checked up by Abla, with the Prophet ﷺ,
06:52and verified again, by a team of the scribes, the sahabas,
06:56so that, naturally, the other copies, which are not verified,
06:59may have small mistakes, may have many mistakes,
07:01so, better to burn all the other copies,
07:04so that there is no mixing of the original, authenticated Quran.
07:10My beloved Prophet ﷺ, which was again verified by Akinjid Gabriel,
07:15is the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
07:16And, even today, as I mentioned in my last session about hadith,
07:23that there are narrators, and from that, each narrator has to have good memory,
07:28should have good character, should see to it that there is a link,
07:31there is a continuity, and it should not have any hidden faults,
07:35it should not contradict with any other known hadith.
07:37This Quran is much more stringent than that.
07:41Even today, the Huffas can recite the Quran,
07:43and there are narration from whom they heard it, right going to the Prophet.
07:48This stringent method of Quran verification,
07:52is multiple times more stringent than the historical way.
07:56Today, in the world, there is no other scripture in the world,
07:59besides the Quran, and the Sahih Hadith,
08:01which has been written with so much accuracy,
08:05and so much detail.
08:06So, if you go upon historical record,
08:09the way the Quran was compiled,
08:11anyone who has knowledge of historical facts,
08:13will never doubt that this Quran is correct,
08:16and this Quran is 14 years old.
08:20Now, for a layman who's atheist,
08:23may not know how the historical records are checked,
08:27whether they are fact or not.
08:28The way it is written, even William Moore,
08:33who was one of the staunchest critics of Islam and Quran,
08:37he wrote in his book, 200 years back,
08:40that there is no scripture available on the face of the earth,
08:43except the Quran,
08:44which has maintained its authentic pure form for 12 centuries.
08:49He wrote this 200 years back.
08:50That means, now, it is for 14 centuries,
08:52but I have got one more way to prove to an atheist easily that the Quran is 49 years ago.
09:02It is 49 years old.
09:05There were manuscripts of the Quran found in Yemen in 1972,
09:10on which there was carbon dating done.
09:13Carbon dating is a scientific method to know how old the material is,
09:18and it is more than 95% accurate.
09:21When carbon dating was done on these fragments of Quran found in Yemen in 1972,
09:27it said it is from the 7th century,
09:32about somewhere close to 650 CE.
09:35But the latest carbon dating done in Birmingham on two fragments of the Quran,
09:44which were from chapter number 18 to chapter number 20,
09:48that is, Surah Kahaf, Surah Mariam, and Surah Taha.
09:52This was there in the Birmingham University from 1935.
09:57And carbon dating was done in 2015, about five years back.
10:01And the result came that these manuscripts of the Quran are dated between 568 CE to 645 CE.
10:12And this carbon dating is 95% accurate.
10:15And we know that the Quran was revealed between 610 and 632 CE.
10:21This frame given by the carbon dating from 568 CE to 645 CE falls between this range.
10:31And we know that the Quran was revealed 610 to 632 CE.
10:38Even these copies that were written and copied,
10:42by the husband,
10:43may Allah be pleased with him and sent to different parts of the world.
10:46Two copies yet are there.
10:48One is in Tashkent, in Uzbekistan,
10:51and the other is in the Koptaki Museum,
10:54in Istanbul, in Turkey.
10:55This is the complete nusaf.
10:59And today, even if you do carbon dating on that,
11:02it will easily be proved that this is about 49 years old.
11:06So, there is no other manuscript available,
11:10like the Quran with so much accuracy.
11:11And if you compare that what's available in Tashkent,
11:16or available in Istanbul,
11:18if you compare to the present copy,
11:20it is verbatim same.
11:22At that time,
11:22they won't know her card,
11:24but the Arabic letters are the same.
11:26So, that will confirm that this is the same Quran,
11:30what is there in the museum available,
11:32if you do carbon dating,
11:33which has been done with the fragments of the copies available in Birmingham.
11:37It did back about 14 years ago.
11:39So, to an atheist to tell him,
11:41this is scientific proof,
11:43that the Quran is 14 years old.
11:46So, when we talk about what scientific fact mentioned in the Quran,
11:49what we have come to know today,
11:5050 years back, 100 years back,
11:53Allah said, 14 years ago,
11:55this will surely convince to an atheist,
11:58that this Quran has to be the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
12:02As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
12:07As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmatullahi wa rahmat
