00:00Toyota has completely redone its best-selling vehicle.
00:04Toyota taking us to Phoenix, Arizona for a RAV4 immersion.
00:08Like so many Toyotas, the RAV4 has become all-hybrid.
00:12But that engine does get you 226 horsepower and up,
00:16with fuel economy of up to 44 miles per gallon.
00:19Interior is well laid out with a new multimedia screen.
00:23This is a vehicle targeted to the mass market.
00:27I think that the RAV4 buyer is someone who really wants utility value,
00:32but they also want something that's fun and allows them to have a very versatile vehicle,
00:37whether it's an active lifestyle or it's just their daily driver running around town
00:41doing more of their domestic duties, so to speak.
00:43You have several choices, including the 324 horsepower GR Sport,
00:48plug-in hybrids to get you over 50 miles of pure electric range,
00:52and something meant for the outdoors.
00:54This has got to be the most rugged trim of the RAV4, the Woodlands Edition.
00:59Let's do a little bit of off-roading.
01:02By off-roading, it's less about rock crawling, more about going down a dirty or muddy trail.
01:07And the GR Sport is more about fun on road driving than track competition.
01:12But if you want to hit a big audience, you need to give them choices.
01:17Now, the idea here is variety.
01:19Not only do you have the off-road edition here at the Woodlands, you have upper trim editions,
01:24you've got plug-in hybrids, you also have a sporty edition.
01:27I think that the RAV buyer is someone who really wants utility value,
01:32but they also want something that's fun and allows them to have a very versatile vehicle,
01:38whether it's an active lifestyle or it's just their daily driver running around town
01:41doing more of their domestic duties, so to speak.
01:44The sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 starts arriving in dealerships in December.
01:49The plug-in hybrid version will be out next spring.
