00:00So another question on the YouTube, the question sent by my team, but most of them I've answered before, so therefore I don't repeat the answer.
00:10There's a question asked on the YouTube, if I want to make dua in sujood, but I don't know Arabic enough to form a sentence,
00:18can I say the whole thing in English, even though I might know some Arabic words, but it's not enough to form a sentence.
00:25As far as doing dua in your salah, in sujood, it's preferable that if you know that dua in Arabic, then say it in Arabic.
00:36For example, one of the best duas, as Allah says in the Quran in Surah Baqarah, Chapter 2, Verse 201,
00:42ุฑูŽุจูŽู‘ู†ูŽุง ุนูŽุชูู†ูŽุง ูููŠ ุงู„ุฏูู‘ู†ู’ูŠูŽุง ุญูŽุณู’ู†ูŽุฉู ููŽุงู„ู’ุขุฎูุฑูŽุฉู ุชูŽุณู’ูƒูู†ูŽ ุนูŽุฐูŽุงุจู ุงู„ู†ูŽู‘ุงุฑู
00:45That, O Allah, give me the best in this world and the Akhirah, and save me from the torment of Halifah.
00:54If I say in Arabic, I know English translation, which is better? Of course, saying in Arabic is better.
00:59Arabic is the original word of Allah, or if it's a dua from the Hadith, it's the word of the Prophet.
01:04So, now I translate that into English, it's not correct.
01:09If I know the dua in Arabic, so saying in Arabic is the best.
01:13But if I don't know, I know the English translation, but don't know the Arabic dua, I can say it in English, I can say it in Urdu,
01:20or it may not be a dua of the Quran or of the Hadith.
01:24You want to pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that I have appeared for my examination,
01:28Ya Allah, let me get good marks, and you can say it in English, you can say it in Urdu, you can say it in Bengali, any language.
01:33If you know the original, authentic Arabic dua, it's the best to say in Arabic.
01:39If you don't know and you know the translation of that, no problem, Arabic is better.
01:43Translation, if you don't know Arabic, then translation.
01:45Or if you want to ask Allah in your own language, you can ask in any language.
01:51It, you can ask Allah for dua in sujood, in your salah, in any language.
01:57If you know Arabic, it's the best.
01:59If you don't know, then whichever language you know the best, you can ask in that language.
02:03It's permitted.
02:03Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
