19:34That's the right tackle, Elijah Wilkinson.
19:39Nice move back inside on this one on the part of Okuanu and forced to hold, but let's not take away that throw.

19:56You can see his confidence growing, and what he's building on the outside, not just with Kyle Pitts, but with Drake London and some of these guys, has really been fun to watch.

20:18I mentioned Fred Warner and his injury suffered last week in the loss of Tampa Bay.
20:23Bethune, 48, is the guy in the middle who is now thrust into that spotlight of handling this defense.
20:28He really is, and he's going to have to be able to stop this outside zone run if that's what he's going to be able to do.
20:35Because we have seen the Atlanta Falcons that has run the outside zone play more than any other team in football over the last five years.
20:46That's seven of the penalty yards back.
20:49Second and 13.
20:51And Penix throws.
20:52It's coming from big, strong hands.
20:54And Drake London, he's shy of the first down as he fights over there with Bernardo Green.
21:00It'll be third down.
21:05It'll be third and three for the Falcons.
21:21As such size, Kyle Pitts at 6'6", comes to the bottom of the screen.
21:26He's the tight end.
21:32Niners bring four.
21:33They go right to the size advantage of Pitts to get the first down at the 46-yard line.
21:40They're trying to play some man coverage out there and bring a little more pressure.
21:44But we've talked about this before.
21:46This is like guarding a power forward, making the move to the basket here.
21:50Because almost nothing you can do as a smaller defensive back.
21:55When that big body gets in between you and the ball.
21:58And we're starting to finally see Kyle Pitts.
22:01The Kyle Pitts that I think many people thought we would see in the National Football League.

22:28Watching here he was on a scooter down in the end zone pre-game warm-ups.
22:34And so many players in the Falcons, so many players in the Niners, even the officials came to greet him.
22:39He has so much respect, four times an All-Pro in this league.
22:43And the smile never left his face.
22:45Robinson got a good block.
22:51Pijon able to get the first down at the 44-yard line as Atlanta has built a nice drive here.
22:59Their second drive of the quarter.
23:01And, Chris, you mentioned at the beginning, you start to see Pijon Robinson do a lot of the things we see Christian McCaffrey do.
23:07Well, I wonder why.
23:08You know, Pijon knew he was going to be in California, and he basically just picked up the phone and said,
23:15Hey, Christian, what do you think about if we got together to work out?
23:19And so they started working out a little bit.
23:22And, yeah, they were talking a little running back stuff.
23:24But Pijon really wanted to talk the wide receiver angle.
23:29And McCaffrey has been so good at it.
23:31And they started working on catching the ball and all those routes.
23:34Pennix, I think everything was covered, and he just got rid of it towards the covered Robinson.
23:40And it's incomplete.
23:41Jordan Elliott had the pressure there.
23:44It is interesting, Chris, because we talk about players working out together, and you hear a lot of that.
23:50But it was these guys and Luke McCaffrey.
23:52He's had a nice season as wide receiver, Christian's brother.
23:55As they got together, Pijon was kind of surprised and kind of happy that Christian opened the book and really shared a lot.
24:01And he feels like it has impacted his game in such a positive way in the first five weeks of this season.
24:07Well, there are so many routes that it's just hard to understand those choice routes, those option routes,
24:13where the quarterback has to know what you're doing, takes a lot of work and a lot of skill.
24:17Second and ten.

24:31Tell you what, this is kind of a new look here as well, because now that you're able to spread people out a little bit on the offensive side,
24:39it is opening some space for Kyle Pitts in the middle, and somebody's going to have to try and stop that right there in that territory
24:48where typically you're worried about Fred Warner if you went in there.

25:22He's just going to take that curve there, and whenever he sees a little opening, he's going to shoot down the hill at that point.

25:35and knowing how to just bend it back, wait for that one gap, and then shoot through it.

28:45But there are so many players that have so little experience now
28:49playing in the secondary and linebacker positions.
28:53For the San Francisco 49ers, it's going to be a tough night for them.

33:52And brick by brick, he has rebuilt this defense.

34:00Same is true with the past defense, which has been very good.
34:04Some good secondary play for Atlanta.
34:06And they've built that wall up front.
34:09Second fewest sacks in the league last year.

34:13And one more added to that list tonight.
34:15And that's what they traveled across the country with.
34:17Trying to slow down the San Francisco offense.

34:23All of his defensive days and skills and thoughts along with Ulbricht.
34:27It's been a nice mix.
34:28A little Vic Banjo thrown in there, too.
34:31It's been an interesting discussion this week.
34:34It's Bradley Pinion kickoff all the way back to the end zone.
34:36So it will be a touchback and much better field position than originally planned
34:41by the Atlanta special teams for San Francisco's offense.
34:45And that's one half of the dynamic duo inside in Caden Ellis, the linebacker.
34:50But Divine Diablo, the other part of that duo, just went to the locker room to be checked off.
34:55And that's major, Mike, because Caden Ellis and Diablo have formed quite the team.
35:01And they were stunned that they were able to get Diablo.
35:04They needed somebody that could cover 25 yards deep, but could also come up and make plays at the line of scrimmage.
35:10They had him in Diablo, and now he's out, too.
35:13J.D. Bertrand takes his place, number 40, for the Falcons.
35:18Niners take over at the 35.
35:20Matt Jones' pro is incomplete.
35:22Kittle had a lot of attention.
35:24Jones was getting a lot of pressure as well.
35:26So Caden Ellis will be the fifth man on the line of scrimmage.
35:33They jump into this a lot.
35:35He'll start as a linebacker.
35:36He'll jump down on the end of the line of scrimmage.
35:38And he, so much, has been their ace as far as just a pure pass rusher going to the outside.

35:51And seven yards as he keeps going.
35:54Through the would-be tackle of Ruka Rororo and J.D. Bertrand.
35:58There are times, you know, when the 49ers and the Rams play, and they both know each other,
36:06they love to play, you know, that outside zone.
36:09Everybody wants to do it.
36:10And yet, when those two teams get together, they just smash it up in there.
36:13They just play gap football all night long.
36:17And I wonder if Kyle Shanahan's over there saying, you know what, this is just like playing the Rams.
36:21These guys know us so well.
36:23Third and three, extra pressure coming.
36:25And Jones, and quick, it's complete to Jawan Jennings for the first down.
36:30These parts, they say, it's third.
36:31And Jawan, because usually in these spots, Jennings does just that.
36:36First down.
36:38We knew from watching practice the other day that Jawan Jennings,
36:41who has had just about every kind of injury you could have to start this season,
36:47but when he's right, and yes, he caught the ball there, and we want to talk about that,
36:51but when he's right, that guy's blocking can create some of the explosive runs
36:57that have been missing out of this 49ers offense.
37:00That's great.
37:02Sneaking through to have a 40-yard line.
37:05Pick up of a little more than five.
37:08Because of those injuries, two Jennings and two IU and two Kittle,
37:12it's been leaning a lot on McCaffrey.
37:14We talked about all the touches he has.
37:16But, Chris, after we saw him get injured in Buffalo last year,
37:19all those workouts with Bijan, came into this season fresh and feeling good right now.
37:23Yeah, but he was averaging 3.1 yards per carry.
37:26He's never been anywhere close to that number.
37:29He's always been better.
37:30It's been five a carry tonight, and it gets better here.
37:34That's 15, the first down, right around the 25-yard line.
37:39With Jesse Bates tackling McCaffrey.
37:41So, they have basically abandoned this zone running scheme,
37:49and they're going to come down and just try and cave everything down inside.
37:54And it does make a difference when you get your full contention of tight ends
37:59back in there blocking for you.
38:01And Luke Farrell, George Kittle, those guys have been moving some people now.
38:05And LeBee Robinson running to the left to get a couple of yards.
38:12Back to the point you made, I think it's interesting.
38:13Because of the similarity of system, every time we see the Rams and the Niners,
38:17it's like we know that you know, so we're just going to scrap it and just tough it out.
38:22And there is a lot of knowledge here with these staffs as well.
38:25Well, it was funny.
38:26We were studying some of the film, and I said,
38:29well, let's put those two teams on, you know, the Rams and 49ers,
38:32and just study some of these outside zone plays.
38:34There weren't any.
38:36They didn't run them.
38:37They were like they had given up.
38:38The other guys had out-schemed them to the point where they just abandoned it
38:42and started attacking right down the gut.
38:4423 off the hands of Jennings and Ellis comes up with the interception.
38:48So Kayden Ellis comes up with it.
38:50Matt Jones with the tackle.
38:52But the linebacker gets the pick.
38:55He had one last year.
38:58And the veteran inside, the beneficiary of the bobble,
39:02off the hands of Juwan Jennings and into the hands of Ellis.

45:43That's what you think of when you think of Kyle Shanahan's offense.
45:47And at least so far, they've got it going.
45:49But the problem that both of these teams have had, they're both ranked very high when it
45:54comes to yardage and moving the ball up and down the field, just like we've seen tonight.
45:58They're not good scoring points.
46:00They're in the bottom of the league, 26th, 27th when it comes to scoring, and especially
46:05down in the red zone.
