00:00So the offensive player of the year market has seen some recent changes.
00:06Now, I want to just say with Puka Nakua, I think, I know this might sound like an overreaction.
00:14I think he's done in this race.
00:17It is in a race that is so much, Joe, about statistical dominance, outlier seasons.
00:24I don't really think you can afford to miss a game.
00:26And he obviously is out here for this matchup against the Jaguars.
00:31And it's not a guarantee he's back in his next game.
00:35Jonathan Taylor sits atop the market.
00:38And we're going to go through some of the other candidates here.
00:40But here's the really interesting thing about JT.
00:43The number one thing right now for Jonathan Taylor is team success.
00:50Jonathan Taylor is not really in range of any records.
00:54B. John Robinson's current pace is the most scrimmage yards in a single season.
01:00C.J. 2K is also C.J. 2,500.
01:04He's the only player with a 2,500 scrimmage yard season.
01:07B. John is on pace to pass that.
01:09That's how good of a start he's been on.
01:10We're going to talk more about him Sunday Night Football.
01:13Jackson Smith and Jigba heading into this week is on pace for the most single season receiving yards.
01:19I know it's the pace, but that's the pace that we're talking about.
01:23And Christian McCaffrey, at least, I mean, it's hilarious.
01:26130 catches is what he is on pace for here.
01:30How do you feel about Jonathan Taylor as the favorite for offensive player of the year?
01:34I don't have a problem with it because, again, he is the workhorse.
01:37When we think about big backs and we think about Saquon-esque type of performances, right,
01:43Jonathan Taylor has been the main component of that offense.
01:48On pace for a 20-touchdown season.
01:49Right, and, again, when we think about the emergence of Daniel Jones, he's benefited when you have a workhorse like Jonathan Taylor in that matchup.
01:59And, again, you know, last week, over 100 yards.
02:01In big matchups, he has stepped up.
02:04And he's been on the cusp of breakout years.
02:06But, again, this offensive line is cooking.
02:09And, again, the team is 5-1.
02:11You're 5-1.
02:11You knock off today.
02:12You're 6-1.
02:14Now, all of a sudden, this team potentially could be a number one seed.
02:17And now that's what you equate.
02:19Who's the most valuable player?
02:20Who's the most, you know, important piece of that offense?
02:24As good as Daniel Jones is playing, you take Jonathan Taylor out.
02:28I don't know if they only have one loss.
02:30But let me just say, I think you nailed it.
02:32Again, I think that's the Taylor case.
02:34I'm not saying it's a bad case.
02:36I think he's maybe a little short in his number right now.
02:41But there is a guy who moved massively on Thursday.
02:45And it's a very similar case in Jamar Chase.
02:50Jamar Chase, every single – it's clear as day now with Flacco there.
02:56Because this is what – you know, he's a veteran.
02:58He understands it.
02:58He's just going to feed Jamar.
03:00He's going to feed Jamar.
03:01All of a sudden, I know he's played an extra game, Joe.
03:04Second in yards.
03:06First in receptions.
03:08A touchdown off the league lead.
03:10This guy's going to be in range.
03:12That's an awful decision by Liam Cohen.
03:14You cannot coach like that.
03:15That is a disgrace.
03:16I'm going to get really angry during this game, it seems.
03:18Okay, that's fine.
03:19That's fine.
03:19That's what we want.
03:20I want to start all my Sunday mornings.
03:23Jamar Chase is live to me for Offensive Player of the Year.
03:25I agree.
03:26And I think –
03:27I don't think they need 12 wins.
03:29No, I think when they looked at the blueprint with Burrow going down and the inefficiency of Jake Browning, it wasn't that Browning was just turning the football over.
03:40He wasn't getting the football to Jamar Chase.
03:43And if this team has an idea of backing into the playoffs, you have to feed the playmate.
03:50Jamar Chase, from an offensive perspective, gives this team, now at 3-4, the best opportunity to be 9-8, 10-7, and get into the playoffs.
04:01And then maybe by then we'll know about Joe Burrow being back.
