00:45I want to see him put up huge numbers with Jamar Chase in that offense.

00:50So Mahomes is interesting to me

00:52because this has been an interesting offseason.

00:55He goes, all of a sudden, crazy Kev,

00:58who kept acknowledging how underwhelming Mahomes was.

01:19We admit that Patrick Mahomes,

01:21despite being seen as the best quarterback in the world,

01:25ripped off consecutive seasons of pedestrian numbers.

01:29That's what happened.

01:30He went from 41 passing touchdowns and 5,200 yards

01:35to under 30 passing touchdowns

01:37and hardly cracking the 4,000-yard marker.

01:39And one year missed that marker.

01:41Yeah, you're right.

01:42And I'll agree with you in this assessment.

01:44He was more of a game manager last year

01:47than he was in any other year in his tenure in Kansas City.

01:51But that being aside,

01:52you have Marquise Brown potentially coming back, right?

01:55Xavier Worthy could be that guy.

01:56Rasheed Rice could have missed some time,

01:58but he looks healthy in training camp.

02:00If Rasheed Rice and Xavier Worthy

02:03are the players that Worthy was

02:04when he caught two touchdowns

02:06against your Philadelphia Eagles,

02:08150 yards,

02:09and Rasheed Rice is the same player before the injury,

02:12they could put up dynamic numbers.

02:13And I expect Pat Mahomes to challenge for 4,000 yards.

02:17The problem with the Chiefs,

02:19and even though they had Kareem Hunt and Pacheco

02:21at the end of the regular season,

02:22they cannot run the football consistently.

02:25If they have a rushing attack

02:26that could put up 150 rushing yards per game,

02:29Mahomes can challenge over the 4,000-yard number.

02:32I still think he's going to do it this year.

02:35I don't think they're a 13 or a 14-win football team.

02:38So if you take that into account,

02:40would you buy the 650 with Mahomes?

02:42I wouldn't.

02:43Yeah, I agree with you

02:45because the record's going to be worse.

02:47So I imagine even a statistical improvement

02:50won't be enough to make up in this race.

02:52Here's where I'll use Jaden Daniels.

02:55Lamar Jackson in his sophomore season

02:56wins league MVP.

02:57It was the second year of Mahomes.

02:58I understand first year as a starter.

03:00He wins league MVP.

03:01Jaden Daniels would look to continue

03:03that same trajectory.

03:04But if you want to take legitimate down-the-board shots

03:08in the MVP market,

03:09I mean, you have six sophomore quarterbacks.

03:13Jaden Daniels, Caleb Williams,

03:15Bo Nix, Drake May, Michael Penix,

03:18and J.J. McCarthy.

03:19There are a lot of options here

03:21and a lot of big prices connected to those names.

03:24There are, but I wouldn't bet any of them

03:25outside of Jaden Daniels.

03:27I just don't think the teams are going to have

03:28that much success for them to win the MVP.

03:31I just don't think it.

03:32Now, the bullseyes aren't Jaden Daniels back.

03:34I mean, they're expected

03:35to be a 12 or a 13-win football team.

03:38I think there is a little bit of regression.

03:40I think they can be a 10 or an 11-win football team,

03:43potentially, but they're playing in the NFC East.

03:45What do you get out of Debo this year?

03:47Can the rushing attack with Robinson

03:49and the running back by committee

03:51make up for Jaden Daniels if he's not on his A game?

03:54And the other factor is,

03:56when I look down the board, Kev,

03:57you have players like Jalen Hurts, 20 to 1.

04:00I mean, 20.

04:01I don't think Philadelphia is going to run as much

04:03and rely on Saquon.

04:05That's a great number.

04:06What about Baker Mayfield?

04:07I'm just saying,

04:08Baker can challenge 45, potentially 5,000 yards.

04:12He's loaded at the wide receiver position.

04:14If they win yet another NFC South crown

04:17and they make it, let's say,

04:18second or third team in the playoffs,

04:20he can be there.
