00:05Last offseason, the Fever brought in Brianna Turner to enhance their youthful roster with

00:09an experienced player, adding depth and a strong defensive presence in the post.

00:14Turner fulfilled these expectations during her inaugural season with Indiana.

00:18Standing at 6'3", the University of Notre Dame alumna had a limited role in the early

00:24part of the season, participating in 13 of the Fever's first 30 games.

00:28Although her playing time was restricted during this period, Turner proved to be an excellent

00:32teammate, demonstrating her competitive spirit in practice and providing valuable veteran

00:36guidance from the sidelines during games.

00:38Head coach Stephanie White praised Turner as the consummate professional for her demeanor

00:45As the season progressed, Turner was called upon more frequently and was prepared to step

01:27In the season finale, she contributed three points, five rebounds, and three assists in

01:33just 12 minutes off the bench, helping Indiana secure the sixth seed for the WNBA playoffs.

01:40In the playoffs, Turner was unexpectedly thrust into a larger role after Damaris Dantas suffered

01:45a concussion in practice prior to the first-round series against Atlanta.

01:49This injury kept Dantas out for the entire postseason, leading to Turner stepping up as

01:53the backup center behind All-Star Aaliyah Boston.

01:56Consequently, Turner became a rare case of a bench player whose responsibilities increased

02:01during the playoffs, with her average playing time rising from 8.6 minutes per game.

02:06During the regular season, her average was 17.9 points per game, which she maintained in

02:12the postseason.

02:12In the first round against Atlanta, she recorded 16 rebounds across three games and then faced

02:18the challenging task of defending four-time WNBA MVP Aja Wilson in the WNBA semifinals.
