00:18to walk with, all right? But Cooper Flagg, who's the great white hope in the NBA and looks like

00:26he's got the game to back it up, just released this piece of garbage as his first ever sneaker

00:33release as an NBA star. Now, obviously at Duke, they wear Nikes, all right? That's a Duke deal,

00:40fine. And I know it's a big check. I'm sure it's a seven or eight figure check. I get that.

00:45But you're telling me that the first ever Cooper Flagg sneaker as a member of the NBA

00:52is a sneaker that my dead grandfather wore when he walked the malls in Sarasota, Florida?

01:47said no one looks cool wearing New Balance sneakers, sadly to say. And number three,

01:52that's a grandpa's shoe. The thing about it, though, that's not unique to Cooper Flagg,

01:58that's a trend now in the NBA that I honestly do not understand, is why virtually every dude in the

02:06NBA today only wears low sneakers? Yeah.

02:09Like, there was a day, you know, past Pro Keds, where we got into the Nike era of basketball,

02:16where everyone out there, I don't care if you play high school ball, college ball, or pro ball,

02:21you wore high tops. Of course. Because it protects your ankles. And you wonder why there's so many

02:25ankle injuries now in the NBA, because they're all wearing low tops, which doesn't support the ankle,

02:30which is another story for another day. But as a sneakerhead, and Tyrone is one too,

02:35I am very disappointed. It's a disappointing show. But think about it like, I hate to put it this way,

02:42it's another knock towards my people. It's like, that's what it is. That's what it is.

02:51I mean, I'm just saying. It kind of is.

03:42That was like New Balance said, hey, we still have leftovers from 1988 when old men were wearing those sneakers to the malls,

03:56But, like, when they did the unboxing for Cooper Flagg, yo, Coop, here's the deal.

04:04I know the money's more important than anything, but we want to show you what our design teams have come up with for your first ever sneaker.

04:11And they opened the box on that.

04:14You think he was like, yeah, you captured everything I wanted in a sneaker.

04:19And I'm so depressed over this.

04:21Like, to me, the Jordan 3, for me, is the greatest sneaker of all time.

04:28Even though I have a wide foot and they're very narrow, so they're not always the most comfortable sneaker,

04:36And I think the Jordan 3s are the greatest sneaker ever made design-wise, right?

04:41Yeah, I have six pairs of 3s.
