00:00Maz thoughts on Bregman opting out okay so uh I'm already a little concerned about their offseason

00:06it's a bad start not that this is the decisive uh point of it because a lot of people certainly

00:11thought Bregman was going to opt out I thought there was a chance that Scott Boris was bluffing

00:16obviously that is not true the report originated with John Heyman of the New York Post who we know

00:22has tremendous access to Scott Boris so uh to me there's no question about the validity of the

00:29report now I come to this there's only one reason for people to think this is a good thing

00:37one and that is that you didn't want Red Bregman back you think he's cooked and it would be a waste

00:46of money and the Red Sox would be better off spending it somewhere else okay fine I'll allow

00:52for that who's going to play third base and if your answer is Marcelo Meyer who's going to play second

00:58base so the Red Sox have enough holes and I'm eager to see how this thing plays out because uh you

01:08know depending on who you ask you'll hear different things about what are the chances that Bregman comes

01:13back my personal opinion is they need him even if he is just what he was uh overall okay and I don't

01:23want to say in the second half but ultimately he hit 273 I think it was with 18 homers and 70 RBI

01:31or whatever the final number was you really think there's a chance he comes back uh I think it's less

01:36than yesterday but I think you know I'm just going by what people are telling me I haven't followed it

01:41that closely and I've heard people say 50 50 90 I think it's less gone 90 10 gone usually when a guy

01:50hits the market he's gone gone and in the case of Scott Boris we're not talking about some agent

01:56who just you know showed up on the market and is negotiating clients for the first time in his life

02:02this guy knows what he can get for him on the open market because he's either been tampered with

02:09or tampered himself bingo I and I was just gonna say you don't leave a job unless you have one correct

02:14yep that's exactly right he knows what he's what he's gonna get and the Red Sox know what he's being

02:18offered it's over he's gone
