00:07Jim, what are your leadoff takes on this?
00:09So my main three takeaways from the Cora in coaching staff firing are this.
00:13I don't feel the least bit bad for Alex Cora.
00:15He was clearly checked out, playing favorites,
00:18alienating young players like Marcelo Meyer,
00:20getting in the way of their development.
00:21And we've seen how many slow starts under this guy since they won in 2018.
00:25And not to mention, it's now clear,
00:27based on his social media posts since he got fired,
00:30happy, happy, I'm happy.
00:33You don't even want to be here anymore because you were miserable.
00:36So good riddance to Alex Cora.
00:37Two, like you said, Mike, this is also a clear power play by Craig Breslow
00:42because you hear some of the reporting over the weekend since all this happened
00:45and the likes of Ian Brown, who was on with Toucher and Hardy this morning.
00:48Cora helped sack Heim Bloom.
00:51So Craig Breslow knew it was all a matter of time.
00:53So maybe Cora starts getting in the ear of ownership again.
00:56No, this a-hole, look at the lineup he put together.
00:58What am I supposed to do?
00:59I'm making chicken salad out of chicken crap.
01:01It's all his fault.
01:02So Breslow struck first in the middle of a series in Baltimore.
01:07I mean, I'm not surprised that it happened,
01:10but that it happened in the middle of a series?
01:12Usually you wait until a day off when you get news like this.

01:15Like, that's kind of crazy.
01:16So he struck first.
01:18But then lastly, it's kind of late and meaningless.
01:21All right, so Cora's sucked and he's checked out,
01:22but it's not primarily his fault.
01:24The roster blows.
01:25It starts at the top with Craig Breslow and this ownership.
01:29They can't fire themselves.
01:31And so, you know, why now?
01:33Like, now, you've done it, Craig Breslow,
01:36but you now got to own it.
01:37This is, like Sam Kennedy said,
01:40essentially this is your team now,
01:41so you're now exposed with not even May 1st.
01:45You know, it's not even the end of April.
01:47So you've got to truly own it if they continue to suck,
01:49and I think that they're going to.
