00:00Our story starts in Africa, or more to the point, at Wolverhampton Century Library.

00:04How are you doing?

00:05Thank you. We're fine, thank you.

00:07What's your name then?

00:08It's Elizabeth, Elizabeth Whitehouse.

00:10So we're here in the children's library section,

00:13and tell us about this fantastic display you've put together.

00:16We've got a wonderful display here of all black history.

00:18There's stories, there's fiction and non-fiction,

00:22and lots of lovely, lovely black history stories.

00:25And you've had a few events, haven't you,

00:27that are kind of connected to black history that you've done.

00:29Do you have different poetry and craft events?

00:32Yeah. We've had a story and craft, and we've had a story time on a Saturday,

00:36and we've got lots of displays all throughout Wolverhampton Libraries,

00:41all the different libraries.

00:43You're very busy, aren't you, at the library service,

00:45and you've always got something going on.

00:47And if people want to find out a little bit more,

00:49how do they find out if there's a talk or, you know, an event on?

00:53They can look online, they can look on our Facebook,

00:56or they can come in, and we've always got displays of posters

00:59of what events are going on.

01:01And if people are interested in black history,

01:03we've got some great books, haven't we?

01:05I mean, we've got The Story Starts in Africa.

01:07It's a wonderful story.

01:15We've got, this is a nice one, Baby Goes to Market.

01:19That's a nice one that I use quite a lot.

01:22And Anansi and the Golden Pot.

01:27Let's have a look at Anansi.

01:28Anansi's stories are wonderful.

01:31I know, I've not heard of Anansi.
