01:26this week graham's in the outback they weren't kidding when they said it was vast the interior
01:36where he's put through his paces by an overzealous staffy i don't want broken elbows broken knees
01:42or a cracked skull you just want the dog that doesn't do this yeah he needs a possessed poodle
01:47in need of some holy water oh oh oh your beauty and in sydney oh what he joins the ludicrous lab
01:56turning breakfast into bedlam leave it leave it no
02:10the sun has risen on another day in the sleepy suburbs of sydney's north shore
02:16you got sport today or not parents trish and craig are in the middle of their morning rituals
02:21with sons josh and oliver did you want lunch for today yes please fair to say they've got a lot on
02:28their plate or at least they did have until marley came along marley is our four and a half year old
02:40labrador and he's a handful outside outside out you go marley loves food um more than probably anything
02:51in the world no marley naughty boy
02:58he's like a kid going into a candy shop basically he comes in and thinks oh
03:02he moves quite quickly so that we can't get him marley sick and he eats like he hasn't had a meal in
03:11days the tablecloth up oh marley marley's on a seafood diet he sees food he eats it and he can sniff out a
03:24weak link from a weak link from a mile off oh no no marley's pretty strong no no get down oh
03:34marley you made a big mess why did you decide to get marley i'll leave that to you trish
03:41i was keen for a dog i had a labrador growing up and i thought it'd be really good to get one
03:47part of me i wasn't keen initially i anticipated that it would be like having an extra child
03:53in the house it has turned out that way no but having said that the energy that he brings the
04:00love that he brings is something that i didn't really anticipate always happy to see you always
04:05smiling and excited sometimes the only one who wants to see you at the end of the day
04:10well that's probably true it's all fun and stolen toast
04:16until marley grabs the wrong snack and lands in serious trouble if we lost marley it would be
04:22it'd be devastating it would be yeah pretty heartbreaking i think if that happened for
04:26all of us but i think the kids would take it really hard as well we would love for him to be
04:31inside with us a lot more we want him to be part of our life that's why we got him but it has to be safe
04:38here's hoping the dog father can find the cure for a bottomless belly
04:42well labradors are really popular all around the world as pets but of course they're very good
04:49at service dogs as well guide dogs for example and that's because they're really easy to train
04:54particularly using food but they're in sometimes lies the problem some labradors are a bit too keen for

05:38your house then yes morning noon and night come on blimey all right and now he's outside just whining
05:44to be let in yes plotting your next snack heist are we marley he's like he doesn't have any sense that
05:51he's doing anything wrong does he but every time he does it we put him back out and he's still out there
05:56going what i don't do anything wrong he also bolts into the house as well so it's really hard to get
06:02outside so often we go through the window um so obviously whoa whoa you go through the window
06:08yeah so that he can't get in the house correct i love the fact you just said that like it was like
06:12obviously we go through the window mom can we go to the tramp outside on the trampoline please yeah yeah
06:17just go the usual way thanks hi molly the usual way it doesn't happen in normal houses you know that
06:24correct this is our coping mechanism when trish says coping that's mum code for barely holding
06:32it together so this whole family are having to make really massive accommodations because of
06:37marley's behavior as much as it's it's funny and he's quite a cute dog there's a very serious side to
06:42this he has had ingest things before and been to the vet and had surgery we normally try and prevent
06:48it from happening by tying him up or leaving him outside right right but of course there's always a
06:52slip up so so you're picking oh where did he come from oh so uh yes marley great you were carrying him
06:59out all 30 kilos of him but what are you did you do that no no i can't do that to get him out i have to
07:05get an apple and peg it out and he'll run out after and then i can close the door quickly oh i see
07:10an apple a day helps keep marley away but when he's outside he still goes bananas and he usually
07:20comes and steals the pool toys and bites oh he's going to destroy this and then his teeth put holes
07:26in it and then they all get punches oh now he's wrong the other one
07:28oh there we go number two's gone destroyed yeah looks like we've moved on to dessert oh he's having
07:39that now and he doesn't bark now because he's got what he wants yes it's like his mission is to get
07:44everything out of the water and on this mission the kids are just collateral damage are you right ollie
07:52did he get you oh dear give it here come here i'll give it a rub so then we have injuries as well
08:01so it's not a pleasant experience for anyone you're not kidding are you so the family are clearly having
08:05a really frustrating time at this but marley well i'm pretty sure he's having a whale of a time
08:12look mission accomplished right i'm off now thanks my job's done my job here is done
08:18i'm out in the swimming pool i'll get the toys and i bring them out it's fantastic i'll drink food
08:24i love food and if i make a nuisance of myself they give me apple apple i love apple the only thing i
08:30don't understand about humans is why do they walk through windows when there's a perfectly serviceable
08:35door i love it when you talk doggo to me graham but can you translate for trish and craig too
08:43i've got some good news and some bad news for you the bad news is um i think it's genetic
08:51famously people say about labradors oh well they are greedy and they will elite and they'll eat
08:55but there is a genetic condition which affects about 24 of labradors basically means he never feels full
09:01i would put a lot of money down on him being one of the one in four who's like that he's literally
09:07starving hungry all the time bless him and always will be let's talk about the pool thing labrador
09:13dogs were fishermen's dogs originally so if there was a float or something they jump in the water
09:19they bring the float back in oh right okay didn't know that the penny drops done it so what you see
09:24marley doing i'm convinced is another piece of dna that's going right mate your job those floating
09:32things grab them get them to the shore right wow interesting it is it's very interesting after all
09:38these years just very much the labrador then yeah yeah wow yeah he's the most labradory labrador in
09:45the world so just make our life any easier of course because we're now working against mother nature
09:51which is never very clever stop stop coming up stop will marley make a meal of graham's training stop
10:02the country dj spinning out at walk time with her staffy no one told me that this is what they were
10:08like yeah and the possessed pooch haunting broken hill there goes the devil
10:21josh can you come and get this please marley's hunger pangs are a huge pain for his family
10:26out and his appetite for inflatables marley has really burst their bubble
10:34the stage is set for an epic showdown the dog father versus the uber lab
10:41how's your confidence in graham now guys um i think graham's got his hands full with marley yeah
10:48i'm a little bit worried i don't think marley is going to be an easy dog to train i can't really change
10:55nature but i can't teach him to back off instead they clearly love him so i'm going to do my best
11:01to help out or not marley outside i haven't got time to do everything today i've chosen the food
11:08stealing issue because i think it's the most urgent frankly it's clearly having a biggest effect on the
11:13family and i'm just worried that sooner or later he's going to ingest something that means the end of
11:17him to curb marley's cravings graham's rolling out the royal banquets behold a veritable smorgasbord
11:27of british treats now i'm from yorkshire which is the best part of england as everybody knows
11:33so there's some yorkshire wensley nailed cheese there's yorkshire puddings with gravy and um well
11:39there's some some of that spread it's a bit like your aussie spread but it's different let's just call
11:45it marley might shall we i'm thinking we bring him in on a long line we're not actually going to let
11:52him get all the way up to it right we'll hold him back if he goes for it we say stop right so by doing
11:58that you get to a point where he gives in it might take a long time but eventually when he goes i give
12:03up i give up then he gets a treat that's when the magic happens he goes ah step away from the food
12:12get rewarded in here i've got diced apple carrot and some dog treats graham's goal is for marley to
12:20step away whenever they say stop and he's going to start by chewing through some training himself
12:26right go on marley let's see what's up here so oh oh what's that yorkshire pudding stop stop stop stop
12:42stop stop good boy good boy he's like right the temptation is to pull him to me i don't want to do
12:52that because i want him to make his own decision yeah say what you like about marley but he knows
12:58what he wants and he wants all of it stop stop stop good boy oh he's lying down good boy we're halfway
13:14there right but i want him to move away further before he gets something now here we go stop stop
13:24he's like a dog who's driven this one i'm just challenging that that big brain of his and going
13:29right think about this you're not getting the food that you want to steal what else might you do marley
13:34stop good good boy and that's the beginnings of what you'll have in the future yeah after a bit more
13:45puppy pogo dancing stop stop marley good boy trish is hungry for her turn all right now this is where it
13:59all goes wrong if we're not careful whatever you do don't let him get to it right so far i've been
14:05the one in control of that long line if she just lets him steal something once i think we're back to
14:11square one because he's going to say to himself sooner or later i get what i want
14:18nope well done oh good boy good boy trish is doing her best but graham's keeping the mischief dial
14:28set to maximum look there's just cheese here bread yorkshire pudding with gravy stop

14:46not even a nibble and it's all thanks to the dog father we should get the boys back joshua

15:08didn't expect that this family's worst fear was that this dog who they love so much
15:14was bound to ingest something that would possibly mean the end of him but now
15:19well i think the future's a lot brighter i'm extremely proud of marley now that we know
15:23how to work with him we won't have to be so concerned in the future well look this is only
15:28the beginning the more you keep it up the more you're better in a habit you know thing is he's
15:31a clever lad today i've really learned that marley can be trained he can listen even when he's super
15:38distracted so next time we've got to apply that to what he does in the pool that might be a different
15:44kettle of fish though good boy hey good learning for now things are peaceful in the harbour city
15:53but graham is back on the road ready for a brand new adventure well i've seen an awful lot of this
15:58beautiful country now but mostly i've been around the coastline you know the cities and some beautiful
16:05areas but i've not been to the interior so now for something completely different i'm off to the outback
16:12take a left then a right and it's just down the road graham please tell me we've edited out the drive
16:28somewhere deep in the outback a cravat wearing english dog trainer is on the road to another
16:37naughty dog wow they weren't kidding when they said it was vast the interior i've been on the road for
16:43two days and i'm only now getting to my destination which is broken hill they don't call it remote for
16:51nothing graham so broken hill is an old mining town i think it's the oldest heritage city in australia
16:59but from where i'm from it's more known for a certain film a few years ago about a bus called priscilla
17:07and three drag queens remember that no time for sequins and fish nets today word gets around these parts
17:15you are listening to the silver cities to dry fm and word on the street is that graham hall of
17:20channel 10's dogs behaving very badly famous in town he's going to be helping us sort out some of
17:27our poochie problems me included my name's eliza jane and i have a two and a half year old american
17:34staffordshire terrier his name is cash after johnny cash because i am a country music dj and he is my
17:40little man in black except this cash refuses to walk the line sorry come on settle down sit sit
17:53the walking is just a cause of constant stress and anxiety for me he's going from side to side
18:00continually he's darting off to sniff at stuff this way
18:05eliza jane's risking life and limb every time they step out the front door i have end stage glaucoma
18:15i'm totally blind in my left eye and i've got less than one percent fractured tunnel vision in my right
18:21eye so because i am vision impaired and i don't see the micro tells and i don't see the things coming
18:29that may attract him i can't preempt it so i've got to be on high alert
18:36come here come here cashy come here come on
18:48crossing a road sometimes we'll get to the refuge island and rule he takes off at a right angle to me
18:54straight over come on he's pulled me down in the street several times in the time i've had him
19:00he's broken my knuckles several times come on let's go even a few broken bones haven't convinced
19:09eliza jane that a different dog may be a better fit several years ago i did receive a guide dog
19:17and he actually didn't fit in with my lifestyle at all my emotional needs are met by having a pet
19:25dog and as long as my pet dog can walk like a normal dog alongside me then things would be
19:33absolutely ideal as they are your mama's good boy cash and i have a perfect relationship i'm pretty
19:41sure i'm his person and he's my person i'll never surrender him i love him too much for that but i
19:48also don't want broken elbows broken knees or a cracked skull oh when you put it like that pedal to
19:55the metal graham there's no time to waste american suffrageable terriers they're quite like the british
20:00counterparts but often bigger more leggy powerful dogs i mean big softies don't get me wrong they're
20:06lovely but they can pull like a train come on we're gonna go for a walk yeah i know we're gonna
20:14go for a walk but you've got to behave today hello oh hi liza it's graham oh hi hi hi it's lovely to
20:24meet you you too you're all right yes thank you so much for coming oh you're welcome we were actually
20:29just heading out for a walk right good oh okay oh he's in he's already pulling in he he is hold on
20:37to your cravat graham cash hasn't even warmed up yet here we go you ready for this i am okay i'm not
20:46let's go yeah okay so we just normally head down this way okay these things otherwise i'm on your left
20:56okay cool i'll just try and keep him in check but you can feel where he's pulling yeah yeah
21:02yeah good boy yeah look cool he's ranging around he just crossed over your can now he does he does
21:09and so i'm busy trying to accommodate him yeah i'm also trying to feel if there's something in front of
21:16me that's it yeah so there's a whole heap going on yeah not to mention those vehicles moving at a high
21:22speed you're gonna sit good boy right good boy stay okay let's go oh he flies when you say let's go
21:34keep going all the way good boy he doesn't hang around does he no he does not that's the first grass graham
21:41has touched in days i've noticed when he's being naughty you don't tell him off is that a conscious
21:47choice yes uh-huh tell me about that yeah well i adore him and he did have a really rough start
21:55when i first got him he was actually emaciated and i didn't even know if i could keep him alive
22:01i nursed him over a two-week period and something just changed in him and he just seemed to realize
22:08that this was his forever home and that he could depend on me and now he's my best mate so i get it
22:15so you've nursed him back to health fallen in love with him gone yeah you're not going anywhere
22:20yeah so you've now ended up with like one of the most powerful breeds attached to a leaf no one told
22:25me before i got a staffie that this is what they were like so you don't need a guide dog and he's not
22:31a guide dog clearly no i'm pretty competent getting around getting where i need to get to right but you
22:38just want a dog that doesn't do this basically i would love a dog that doesn't do this now eliza just
22:44wants a pet that she can walk nicely um and safely i should add because at the minute what i'm seeing
22:51is it's anything but safe at some point this dog who doesn't appear to have an awful lot of road sense
22:57he's literally gonna pull her underneath a car or a truck you know and i i just think it only takes
23:03once and this story is going to end tragically with american staffy cash a walk is not a walk
23:15it's an extreme sport where owner eliza jane is dragged along for the ride add a vision impairment
23:23to the mix the danger to her is next level you've got no warning which direction he's about to go
23:30when he's about to fall the wrong circumstances it could be life threatening i think what's
23:35happening is he's like i don't really understand what i'm meant to do because i've never told him
23:39i'm on the wrong track here you know okay and the other thing is we're not really very clear about
23:45telling him good boy when he is either yeah okay does that make sense yeah so he's just wandering
23:50around doing his own thing oblivious to what's right and wrong yeah because i've never told him that's
23:54it okay god now you mention it that is so obvious i've really never disciplined cash at all and that's
24:01led to a whole heap of confusion for cash because he doesn't understand what's good behavior and what's
24:06poor behavior discipline and praise are two words crucial to any dog father overhaul but there are two
24:14more words that graham is concerned about when she says let's go let's go well he's off like a shot and
24:21the precise moment where you would want to be walking out onto the road surface with a bit of
24:26control and balance he's pulling you if i say walking but in a very sort of flat steady way yeah it
24:34creates a different energy let's go is out walking walking is in ah no the dog father magic is simple cash
24:46no it's a big don't argue no when he pulls ah no and some delightfully high-pitched praise when he
24:56behaves good boy all right set that to your mum again there you go there he is won't you he's my clever
25:03little man in black yeah let's be honest they all behave for the dog father before eliza jane takes over
25:11ryan whips out a little leash wizardry i'm gonna put a knot in that okay where i think we're gonna
25:18want you to hold it yep now normally my start point with lead training is a really loose
25:22lead for eliza that doesn't help she needs to feel that her dog is there so that by definition means
25:28there's going to be a tiny bit of tension on that lead so that she's not surprised when it goes from
25:33slack slack slack to pull you you know as soon as he starts to pull you'll know it yeah and then you you
25:38just got no she's never ever told cash off and whilst we don't want him to be told off in a way
25:45that makes him scared it's okay to say no i just hope she can bring herself to do it cash walking nice
25:53okay no so i can help you out there yeah yeah no okay that's it well that's good right that's a no
26:02yeah see what i mean yeah as soon as you feel attention yeah cash walking two three one five
26:09no no you're right you nearly did it right we can turn around here okay that's it come on good boy right
26:16sit good boy good boy cash over to you walking lovely well well someone's found their trainer voice
26:24no that's it that's better and it's working good boy i like that no but cash has still got some
26:32tricks left in the old book he's being crafty he is he's trying to push me over he is he's got
26:38quite a spirit this lad so he went from pulling like crazy to just gently trying to steer mum off to
26:43one side good boy good boy that's it well done good boy but it wasn't working eliza was having none of it
26:50so credit to her good boy keep going good boy fantastic yeah three two one and stop eliza
27:00fantastic well who would ever have thought that would happen how did that feel good yeah yeah
27:07felt really good yeah you did really well thank you so i think if you keep practicing that yeah
27:13it's going to make a massive difference it will it will i'm so proud of my cashy boo i think
27:19cash and i with graham today have overcome some huge hurdles and i think i can now confidently
27:27manage him without feeling i'm doing the wrong thing it'll make a huge difference like to the
27:33whole of our lives not even just the little walking thing it will take all of that anxiety out of
27:37anticipating having to walk him yeah she clearly adores this dog and wants to spend all the time with
27:43him well now i think she can do that she can walk around with him she won't be anxious about what's
27:48going to happen it won't be dangerous and i think life just gets better for both of them
28:04i think there's a real difference between an official support dog trained probably professionally
28:10certified and all the rest of it and a pet that's quite supportive for loads of people their pet dog
28:17is kind of the biggest support mechanism in their life you know dogs are great at just being there
28:24they don't try and rationalize your problems or give you the answer or whatever it is they just sort of
28:29listen in their own way they get you and they're there for you and it's great when it works
28:34but when it doesn't work it's a huge problem
28:42another day in the outback and graham's adapting nicely well i thought my work here was done in
28:49broken hill but no it turns out i'm hearing about a dog that's been possessed by the devil a demonic
28:56scary devil dog who's terrifying the good people of the town and it needs sorting out but who in their
29:02right mind would face up to such a monster the dog father that's who steal your nerves and clutch
29:09your rosary beads as we reveal the possessed pooch of broken hill
29:15pippa the toy poodle basically we just thought we're gonna have a normal little lap jog
29:35there goes the devil six years ago ella and jensen brought home a pint-sized princess
29:41so exactly what do they do to summon the beast you ask you can pat her for a certain amount of time
29:48and then next minute she just snaps
29:57pats they pat her what's wrong
30:00when she turns on me she just turns into chewbuck and goes
30:14if pippa is chewbacca ella is her hun solo when i try to pat pippa i pretty much get a growl and
30:22a nip but as soon as ella tries to pat her she'll let her do whatever she wants most of the time if i'm
30:28patting her and then jensen will begin to pat her sure it's easy to laugh at this princess of darkness
30:43but ella and jensen aren't the only ones affected by her fiendish behavior we have a little boy named
30:50ammon who's three and a half years old do you love pippa no what do you think of her what do you think
30:59of her uh she's angry she's a lot worse with ammon he can barely go near her and she will turn on him a lot
31:09quicker we have to be very careful it does get scary when i'm in corners her that's the point
31:20where we have to run over and quickly pull him out the way a dangerous diva yet somehow she's still
31:28the heart of the household you can see the good in pippa like you can tell she loves you she's just
31:34a bit crazy maybe we need an exorcism how about a blessing from the dog father
31:43well i'm a dog trainer not an exorcist so this might require some skills that are outside of my
31:47normal remit so uh wish me luck coming up will graham's dance with the devil prove to be his undoing
32:01oh oh oh oh you beauty marley's making waves boy and graham's floating in with a flamboyant new sidekick
32:17when the legend of broken hills possessed poodle pippa reached the dog father he knew the residents of
32:24silver city and owners ella and jensen would never rest until peace had been restored looks like she's
32:32not doing it now the devil's arrived
32:36so has the dog father armed with treats his holy cravat and purpose
32:50so tell me about all these devil dog problems you're having with her well you try to pat her and she'll
32:55just attack oh right yeah but then she'll come back for more all right two seconds later is she worse with
33:02any given person yeah she's a lot worse with me right is she yeah i don't know if she's just trying
33:08to protect ella right okay how brave are you feeling i'm pretty brave i'm used to it you know
33:15i wouldn't mind seeing it just so i can understand it could you try and give her a stroke and see what
33:18happens she's definitely had enough already today yeah and then a shake off
33:40look she bagged her and now just let her go jensen see where she goes oh hello
33:50good girl good girl it's all right it's all right so look at that so it's not as though she doesn't
33:57like being touched you're proving the point there really exactly it's fine when you do it what does
34:02the vet have to say about it is that there's no medical reason no because she grows in every single
34:08spot you touch her it doesn't matter where you touch her she'll still grow anywhere in her body
34:12yeah that's right so what's your worst fear our worst fear would be with a new baby on the way
34:19oh right congratulations okay thank you how long you got to go before you before you six months okay
34:24well we've got six months to get this right hopefully i'll get you on the right track today and then you've
34:28got so i think pippa is to some extent a bit anxious i kind of see that in her eyes but she could be
34:36taking herself off which leads you to think is she being a bit bossy well i think there's an element
34:40of that as well is she being protective or jealous well yeah kind of but look what i do know is this
34:48has to change particularly with a new baby on the way graham knows better than to rush the dark arts
34:57so it's baby steps first starting with jensen and the fluff demon alone i think we've got to get pippa
35:03used to being touched really by anybody at any particular time so we need to make a positive
35:10association with that if we touch her give her a little tickle and she doesn't react we should reward
35:15that and i'm thinking maybe a bit of chicken the important thing is timing if we waited until she
35:21was reacting so she's growling and then we're going look look there's chicken please don't do that
35:26she goes ah i get chicken for growling do you see what i mean so we're doing the opposite of that
35:31we're going if you don't react chicken happens right so there's a piece for you so what i want
35:36you to do is give her a little little stroke and then a tiny bit of chicken and then the next thing
35:42is that's it that's enough there's a little grumble at the end so that might have been too much
35:50so what we do is we do a little bit if she doesn't react great treat if you try that again
35:55little tickle that's enough there you go she's beginning to learn isn't she
36:03that's it oh fantastic now when we first started this just a couple of minutes ago if you'd have
36:10done that much stroking she'd have been growling so now she's getting used to oh i got a game here
36:15sometimes it takes just a little food to melt the coldest of hearts but if there's one thing pippa
36:21loves more than chicken it's ella i'm gonna bring ella back in this morning when they were together
36:27there were some real fireworks in the room thanks to pippa this is where it could go wrong
36:37no chicken for you no chicken for that ella's return reignites the curse
36:42yes stay back hi chicken pippa
36:54good girl that's nice you did well there because that was about three strokes last bit
37:02good girl we're officially out of holy chicken and running on faith
37:13look at her now what an angel there you go good girl you got yourself bitten during that this
37:22morning yeah yeah you start to see the side of her now don't you oh yeah turned out good she's
37:29seen the light i think the training went great it's like a changed dog it's going to be great just
37:35be able to put her on my lap and pat her like a normal dog do you know what pippa queen of the
37:39desert i reckon your reign of terror has come to an end clearly something had to change i think

38:01i'll miss the place well it's not over yet graham there's a very long drive ahead
38:06but back in sydney's suburbs marley's still standing by causing a stir
38:15this munchies monster was eating himself out of house and home
38:19until the dog father helped him make some better life choices
38:23good boy good boy but steady on marley the pool of temptation is calling if we're in the pool area
38:32he barks and barks until he can come into the pool if they've got the floaties he wants them it changes
38:38peaceful and enjoyable event into quite a stressful one give it a rub
38:43i need to convince him that that's not his job the problem is though when it's a genetic tendency it
38:51means i'm fighting against mother nature
38:59marley was once the most labrador labrador to ever labrador
39:04oh marley no stop until graham helped get his cravings under control stop outside though
39:13marley's still a pool toy popping pest today i've got to remind him that he's not a fisherman's dog
39:21he's a pet dog mate it's a swimming pool i have brought along with me a few things that might help
39:27once again the dog father is blowing up the world of dog training
39:35oh just don't go into this with surprise inflated expectations piece of cake
39:44i brought a friend that's umphrey umphrey gone he's going to be helping us today with the training
39:51but before that how have you been getting on with the food stealing yeah look i think it's been going
39:56well it's something that we need to keep working on well i've got another idea we're going to put
40:01marley on a floating long line in the pool right we're going to give him some items that he can
40:06play with and then we'll introduce this that's going to be out of bounds so the principle is going
40:10to become that you can that you can't in a funny way it's quite similar to last time impulse control
40:17the training is based on the same principles well let's start with the positive these can be his
40:23you want to play with them drag them out of the pool fine that's it good boy graham's testing the
40:30waters with his new floating lead as he's swimming towards me i'm just bringing it in so he doesn't
40:35get tangled up clever boy and before his paws get too wrinkly marley's angling for a new kind of fun
40:44so we've done the item that you might describe as yes you can right now we've got to do that no
40:48you can't umphrey's in position i'll take the long line and i'll control things from over there
40:53as he swims towards humphrey i'm going to tell him stop and i'm going to guide him back again yeah
41:00yeah so yeah no yes hopefully he chooses one of the other toys he probably won't to start with oh
41:07ye of little faith graham no all right oh he's gone for the ring oh the bone oh clever boy is he
41:15going to go over the labrador or the unicorn labrador now that's a surprise good boy he doesn't seem
41:23that bothered about the huge great pink unicorn which surprises me but i've got a couple of other
41:28things up my sleeve let's hook the ante it may be raining cats and dogs what's this but graham's
41:35forecast needs a 100 chance that marley will respond to the stock cue oh you want that don't you so
41:42he's adding some extra enticements i want him to make a decision step away from the out of bounds items
41:50then get your toy off he goes he's off towards the out of bounds area he's going like the clappers look
41:56at that stop good boy he's coming around yeah that's how it works marley's taking to the training
42:09like a duck to water but now he has to navigate the good the bad and the unicorn all at once here we go
42:19oh this will be a challenge go on then he's gonna have to swim past everything right past the unicorn
42:26past the ring clever boy well done think about the noodle no he didn't oh this is going to be
42:32interesting yes it could be oh look at that wow wow well done mate fantastic heave over humphrey
42:40nothing is coming between marley and his new mates oh he's got the turtle again he's got a turtle
42:45brilliant now what's he doing well done he's admiring his work he is yeah keep an eye on him
42:50oh here he comes fantastic now i think we've got something to show the boys don't we oh yeah boys
42:57marley used to give as much grief to the boys as he did to their toys but now he's ignoring you
43:04he's ignoring the noodle yes he's got it he's turning around what's he going to do
43:09the dog fathers taught marley to turn his back on temptation hey what do you rank to that fantastic
43:19i think he thinks it's fantastic as well he's having the best time marley's learned that there
43:24are things that he's not meant to be retrieving like the fisherman's dog but there are things
43:29that you can play that game with and you can really see how much he's enjoying himself when he gets it
43:34right i think if you add that to the stuff you're already doing with the food well you can have the
43:38perfect pet in the end really i've had a lot of fun today but i never forget that what i do is very
43:43much about helping people and of course dogs and this family i think are going to have a much happier
43:49time with the dog now we're very proud of marley you did a great job today he's going to make a huge
43:53difference moving forward i think it's a great success sit look at that it's like a perfect family

44:08sum this up it's all gone swimmingly well i thank you out in broken hill eliza jane's finally walking
44:21tall with cash we're still doing daily walks we are using the command walking walking he's got a little
44:29bit too much energy generally when we start out but by the end of a walk he's doing absolutely
44:35brilliantly across town once feared now fabulous pippa's devilish days are behind her jensen can
44:45pat pippa a little bit more now but amen well he's still a work in progress you give it to her and give
44:51her a pat on the head good boy good girl and across in sydney humphrey lives to float another day
45:01and marley's training is starting to work a treat marley come marley come good boy but sometimes an uber
45:10lab's gotta do what an uber lab's gotta do stop stop stop stop and we're not quite there marley has been in
45:19the house a lot more it has been working we just need to be consistent with it we haven't had as much
45:24of an opportunity to sort of work with marley and the pool toys but i feel fairly confident on what to
45:30do moving forward we just want to say thanks very much to graham for coming out as a family i think
45:35will benefit so yeah thank you very much yeah it's a bit much if i'm honest next time on dogs behaving
45:43very badly stop nibbling a strange love triangle two girls one bulldog a lazy border collie he is the
45:50fattest laziest border collie i've ever seen and graham returns to see a familiar face
