00:00What's up everybody? My name's Trey. This is Ramsey. Welcome back to Better Days Sports.
00:06Number one spot for all types of sports shenanigans.
00:09And in today's episode, we actually have the fantasy quarter.
00:12So Ramsey's going to jump in and give you some recommendation when it comes to your fantasy teams
00:16because we all know you want to win your fantasy league, so you need to listen to this man.
00:22But Ramsey, go ahead and take us away.
00:24I appreciate the welcome and introduction, my brother.
00:27But let's go ahead and dive right into these waver wire pickups that we have for week seven.
00:31We saw a lot of entertaining football this past weekend, but we saw some things that stood out.
00:36Most importantly, I saw Kamal Fadal step into that lead back role out there with the Chargers,
00:42with Amari Hampton out on the IR list with that ankle injury.
00:46The man led the team with 124 yards and a touchdown.
00:50He's supposed to be the second string or third string technically running back in his field, but third string where?
00:55I would say if he hasn't been picked up on a whim yet, he's going to be number one on the waiver wire going into this week.
01:02So hopefully you are already focusing on that so you can get him on your roster for week seven
01:07because he will definitely be productive until Amari Hampton comes back in about three weeks.
01:12Moving on, we have another interesting user that we have here.
01:17TJ Spears, backup running back for the Titans, right?
01:20What was interesting about him is he actually had more snaps than the lead back Tony Pollard.
01:26What does that mean?
01:27Is that something for us to look into?
01:28Why is the backup running back getting more touches than the lead running back?
01:32And this isn't something that we shouldn't be sniffing over because Tony Pollard was having 18 to 20 touches to start the season out.
01:39So is this because of game plan?
01:42Is this because they want to go a different direction?
01:44Something worth taking a flyer on the waiver wire for to find out, especially in those deep leagues when you just need a win.
01:50Definitely look for TJ Spears to see if he can go ahead and bolster your RB room for sure.
01:56Moving on, I want to talk about some players that are probably already on rosters.
02:01But if they are, you should definitely see if you could trade for him for a late fourth round or fifth round pick,
02:07just depending on how you want to finesse some of these GMs in your fantasy leagues respectfully.
02:13But I will go and trade for Wondale Robinson, wide receiver for the fourth inning Giants.
02:18I know that Jackson Dart is the new quarterback and he runs a lot, which is really good.
02:23I'm actually going to touch on Jackson Dart later in this video.
02:26But for Wondale Robinson, we could see something similar to what we're experiencing down there in Dallas with George Pickens and Dak Prescott,
02:34where George Pickens is now wide receiver number one.
02:36And we see the benefits fantasy wise that is playing for his value as a receiver.
02:41The same thing could be said for Wondale Robinson, potentially because Jackson Dart was a top 10 quarterback last week.
02:48Even though a lot of that is attributed to running rushing yards, it's still worth noting that Malik Neighbors is still out for the season.
02:56And Darius Layton is out as well.
02:58Wondale Robinson is now wide receiver number one.
03:00So Dart has to throw eventually, right?
03:04And I think that if you trust in Dart, all of these New York football giant faithful fans should definitely go ahead and get the stack going of Wondale and Jackson Dart if you can.
03:17Moving on.
03:18I also want to see if you can do a late, late sixth or seventh round draft pick or see if he's still on the waiver wire.
03:25Look into Kendrick Bourne.
03:27I know that he was going to be a quote unquote boom or bust depending on how he was going to perform based on how the 49ers whole team is on injury report at this point in the season, right?
03:38But Kendrick Bourne, even with Jawan Jennings returning, still had a pretty good game.
03:43He had nine targets, five receptions, and 142 yards.
03:46And that's with one of their receivers returning back into the fold.
03:49Now, you could attribute that to Jawan Jennings getting used to the offense and getting worn back up.
03:53But still, points of points, stats of stats.
03:56As we know, the San Francisco 49ers are as unpredictable as anyone when it comes to availability with any of their players.
04:04So I would definitely look into acquiring Kendrick Bourne just based on the injuries that have plagued the 49ers this season so far.
04:12And I think that it will fare for you very well moving down the road.
04:15We'll be getting to those really tough back-to-back matchups in a fantasy season where you have to beat two teams to make the playoffs,
04:21depending on how your setup is.
04:23But moving on, I brought them up in the last video, but Josh Downs.
04:28Josh Downs is a very sneaky, effective flex option.
04:33Not saying he's a starter, but in a pinch, players on a bye week.
04:36We're about to come up at that point in the season where some of the best players are going to be on bye weeks.
04:41Those spots need to be taken up by someone.
04:44I would take a flyer and go and see if you could get Josh Downs on a waiver wire if you can.
04:48He looks really good in Indy's offense, and that's mostly attributed to Daniel Jones.
04:53Can't believe I'm saying that out loud, but still.
04:56You might need to say that again because you're going to talk some slander on that man.
04:59You know, I will give Daniel Jones the benefit of the doubt right now.
05:05The Colts look very good.
05:06They're 5-1.
05:06They're leading the AFC South.
05:08But their schedule is really nice.
05:11So as long as he can save the course, they may be one of those teams worth talking about come December when we're talking about first-round buys even, maybe.
05:21But that's far down the road, and we will get into that in another video.
05:24But back to the point of Josh Downs, he does have a really good quarterback who was having that team running like a well-oiled machine, and he scored a touchdown this past week.
05:32So that leads me to believe that more touches are going to be coming his way.
05:36I would definitely go and see if you could just get on the waiver wire and see if you can get something for Josh Downs.
05:42Also, in a trade, if you are feeling risky, because I'm pretty sure that people don't realize how valuable he's going to be for that team down the road.
05:51Now, let's talk about Trey Tucker.
05:56Is Trey Tucker the new number one receiver for the Raiders?
06:01Is it worth us asking this question?
06:04You know, it's, I understand that some of this could be attributed to Geno Smith's quarterback play.
06:09He leads to league in interceptions.
06:11There is no excuse for that.
06:13But also, why are all of these touches going to Trey Tuckers and not Jacoby Myers?
06:19Jacoby Myers is a name that everybody knows because he used to be O-reliable, the guy who would give you at least 11 to 12 fantasy points because he just knew how to stay productive, even with a bad offense.
06:32This is different. He's being affected.
06:35I don't know if it's because of the coverages that he is now seeing.
06:38I don't know if there's chemistry issues between him and Geno Smith, or maybe Geno Smith just found a target that he prefers.
06:44But regardless of the fact, I think that Trey Tucker definitely should be on your radar, because even though the Raiders are unpredictable,
06:50Geno Smith can definitely have one of those games where he goes off of four touchdowns.
06:54And I guarantee you that three of those would probably be to Trey Tucker, especially if they're passing.
06:58So definitely we'll look into Trey Tucker as a short-term option, not a long-term option, because the Raiders are unpredictable.
07:06But we're talking about fantasy risers here.
07:09And Trey Tucker is definitely rising up my waiver wire board of people that you must pay attention to.
07:14Lastly, I do want to talk about Harold Fannin Jr., tight end for the Cleveland Browns.
07:23He was productive in the two tight end set with David Njoku currently, even with the erratic quarterback play of the Cleveland Browns currently.
07:31But new quarterback, Dylan Gabriel, threw the ball 40-something-ought-not times.
07:35I don't know if that was by design, but the way that I see that is 47 targets means that there's more targets to be shared amongst those receivers.
07:44Jerry Judy, Harold Fannin, Cedric Tillman, and more.
07:48So with that being said, David Njoku is dealing with a concussion.
07:53Harold Fannin will now be tight end number one, depending on David Njoku's availability.
07:59But if we follow the NFL's regulations when it comes to concussions and injuries, it looks like he's going to miss at least a week.
08:07So why not take a flyer on the number one tight end for the Cleveland Browns if you do need a tight end or just want to shake up your lineup just a little bit.
08:16Now, to wrap this up, guys, I want to talk about some of the best matchups that we have in terms of quarterbacks and running backs across the league.
08:26So two running back matchups really, really stand out to me, just in terms of who's playing and the defenses that they play.
08:34And it's funny because they're actually playing each other.
08:37The Commanders and the Panthers.
08:41You have two very established running backs in Kroski Merritt and Rico Dowdle.
08:47And the only reason I say established is because we've heard of Rico Dowdle before.
08:51But it's almost as if he wanted to remind us of who he is, because I have not been able to understand how he has made himself look like the lead running back for the Panthers and should have been for the whole season over Chuba Hubbard.
09:09And he's playing so well that Chuba Hubbard might be a trade target now, which why not take a trade?
09:19Why not take a flyer on Chuba Hubbard if he gets traded to a team that really needs a run game?
09:23Chargers are talking about trading for a back.
09:25Alvin Kamara is also on that list.
09:27So we will definitely see what happens of it, but at least focus in for this matchup.
09:33Rico Dowdle is definitely running back number one for the Panthers.
09:36And Kroski Merritt is definitely going to be number one running back for the Commanders.
09:41And I think that they're both going to be running up and down the field.
09:45So in terms of great running back matchups, you would definitely look forward to the Commanders and the Panthers on your schedule.
09:51But with that being said, I will stay away from both of those defenses for that matchup, specifically for that reason as well.
09:58So lastly, I want to talk about some wide receiver matchups that we have coming up in week seven.
10:05And the one that really stands out to me right now is Amon Ross St. Brown against the Vikings.
10:13I know the Vikings, they do have a great defense.
10:15I know that they're going through an adjustment period with J.J. McCarthy, Yalda Carson Wentz leading that offense.
10:21But when they are healthy, we know what they can do.
10:24Ask Sam Darnow what he did with that team last year.
10:26So I think after the Lions getting embarrassed in Kansas City are going to make all of that the Vikings problem
10:38and run it up against the Vikings because they got embarrassed by Kansas City.
10:42And that bodes badly for the Vikings defense.
10:46But great for anyone that has anyone on the Detroit Lions offense, namely Amon Ross St. Brown.
10:53So I would definitely look for him to have a big day this upcoming week.
10:57And I also look forward to A.J. Brown having a big week this upcoming week.
11:04And I know that that's a touchy subject.
11:06I know that everybody's been talking about the drama and the unknown surrounding this Philadelphia Eagles football team
11:14because they're facing a little bit of adversity.
11:16It's just a Super Bowl hangover.
11:18They're going to figure it out.
11:19They'll be fine.
11:20They'll be fine.
11:21They play the Giants.
11:23I think they'll be fine.
11:25You know, it's...
11:28What's up?
11:29I don't want to, like, laugh and predate something here.
11:34But it didn't bode well for them the last time that this happened.
11:38So I'm over here going off of the hope and prayer that it's going to actually go much better in their favor.
11:47And I would definitely put A.J. Brown in your starting lineups this week.
11:50And I know that he has been a trade piece.
11:53I would say, wait until after this week.
11:56Give him one more week before you say A.J. Brown needs to go.
12:00So give him one more week.
12:02And lastly, I have Jaden Reed.
12:07Jaden Reed for the Packers.
12:10And the only reason I'm putting Jaden Reed on this list right now is because Jordan Love has been playing very well.
12:15I think that the Green Bay Packers are a very sound machine.
12:21And I think that they will be very productive in a way that Jaden Reed may get a touchdown or two, courtesy of the hands of Jordan Love.
12:29So that's what I'm going off of, at least for this week.
12:31But those are my picks so far.
12:34So talk to me.
12:35My brother in Christ, how do you feel about the picks that I have laid out for the people?
12:39Feel good about them.
12:41I think the A.J. Brown one is going to be interesting.
12:44And a lot of people won't want to touch that with a stick as far as they can just because of what we've seen, you know, leading up to this point.
12:52But I think they are definitely primed and ready for a big offensive game.
12:57So that's definitely one I'm going to keep my eye on.
12:59But really appreciate everybody stopping by for the fantasy quarter.
13:03Like I said, listen to this man.
13:04He's trying to get you right so you can get a trophy and hang it up in your garage so all the boys know that you're a winner in your life.
13:10And just like that, really appreciate you stopping by.
13:13If you are new to the channel, if you're new to the pod, make sure you hit the subscribe button and notification bell to get notified every time we post a video.
13:18And leave a comment in the comment section down below.
13:20How did you feel about these picks?
13:22Because maybe you're feeling differently.
13:23We would like to hear or, I guess, read your opinion.
13:26And just like that, we will see you in the next one.
13:28Peace.
13:29Peace.
13:29Peace.
13:47Peace.
13:57Peace.
13:58Peace.
13:58Peace.
