00:22of how you feel about our top five receivers because NFL is upon us.
00:28We're already in week three and we have a lot of things to go over.
00:32But my boy, go ahead and start us off. Who's your honorable mention or, you know, last on your top five list?
00:39You know, I've been thinking about this a lot and I think that there's a lot of a lot of bias when it comes to rating these receivers out here.
00:46And I think when it comes down to it, I'm just a big person on productivity. Right.
00:50So rounding out my number five, I'm going to go with Amon Ra in Detroit.
00:56You know, I think he's a very productive, underrated receiver.
01:00You can put him anywhere, even though he usually plays wide out. You can put him in a slot.
01:04He's one of those gadget receivers that you just can't stop.
01:06Perfect example is it was fourth and two when they played out in Baltimore on Monday night.
01:12And you would think they run the ball. Nope.
01:13They were in a fade route for who else? Amon Ra.
01:16And he got a 20 plus yard gain on fourth and two, something that only he and the Detroit Lions can do.
01:21So I think when you can make plays like that, it's one of those situations where I'm like, OK, I don't think that there's five guys outside of the top five that's better than you.
01:33So, yeah, I think Amon Ra definitely will start it out for me.
01:36But what about you?
01:36See, I like that pick.
01:39He's not somebody I had in my top five simply because I didn't know what his numbers were going to look like this year.
01:46The Lions have had a somewhat shaky of a start.
01:49So I was not sure what that air game is going to look like on the line.
01:53So that's why I had him outside of my top five.
01:55At my number five pick, I actually have Malik Neighbors.
01:58I had somebody going a little bit younger who I think is just up here for me when it comes to this season because he's going to have numbers, regardless if it's dark, if it's Jamison throwing him the ball.
02:10The quarterback for the Giants is going to want to throw the ball deep.
02:14And Neighbors is one of their few receivers who is a speed guy who can beat people off the top.
02:19So I think his numbers this year are going to be beautiful, and I think he's really going to assert himself as a really nice, young piece to an offense that might be exciting now that they're kind of moving away from Wilson back there quarterback.
02:34I mean, we were just talking earlier before we started that quarterback play plays a role into this, right?
02:39So they just benched their starting quarterback in Russell Wilson for Jackson Dart.
02:44So are you still keeping him in that spot knowing that that information just came out?
02:47I am because I think now Neighbors can go to his young quarterback and say, hey, man, just trust me, like throw me up the ball.
02:56I'm going to go do that for you.
02:57When he couldn't do that, you couldn't go back to the vet and say, hey, throw me the ball.
03:00Trust me.
03:01It was the relationship is different now.
03:04Neighbors is the one that he's looking up to saying, hey, like you're my number one receiver.
03:08Like, how are we going to come together and make this function correctly?
03:11I think it's going to be a very similar offense.
03:14It's probably not going to be very good, but there's going to be some deep shots that are taken.
03:19And this is the boy right here.
03:20But who do you have in your number four spot?
03:22Number four spot.
03:23I'm going to go with I'm going to go with a vet.
03:25Mike Evans might be an unpopular pick for both for most people.
03:29But the way I see it is, look, there's not a lot of people that have five 1,000 yard seasons, let alone eight plus.
03:37So you mean to tell me that regardless of this quarterback play that you've been dealing with in Tampa Bay, going through quarterbacks year after year, mediocrity, and then you get Tom Brady, and you still have the same level of productivity with Tom Brady that you didn't have with Tom Brady.
03:54So you mean to tell me that you're productive with arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, and you're also productive with names of Jameis Winston and Baker Mayfield and everybody else in between that has come through that quarterback carousel before they finally landed on a trusted quarterback in Baker Mayfield.
04:09So, I mean, listen, if you know that Mike Evans is on your scouting report, and you know that you can't stop him, and you know that he's going to get his whether the Buccaneers win or lose, I mean, I just have to tip my hat to you if you give me 12 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and I plan for you not to do that.
04:29So he's definitely in my top four.
04:33Mike Evans, they don't necessarily have the same play style, but he reminds me a lot in terms of his career as like a Larry Fitzgerald.
04:39He is just so consistent when it comes to his hands, when it comes to his catch radius, where he could be in the league for an abundant of time, like six more years, and you kind of look up and like, man, he's still playing 1,000-yard receivers.
04:54Like, he doesn't make a lot of noise, nothing like that, but definitely like that play.
04:58Now, oh, go ahead, my boy.
05:00I think one of the really good comparisons for Mike Evans is, you remember Torrey Holt, that receiver?
05:07Torrey Holt.
05:08So receiver out of St. Louis, talk about productive, year after year, 1,000-yard seasons, all pro seasons, the pedigree of a Hall of Famer, another touchy subject.
05:22We'll talk about that possibly in another video, but Mike Evans reminds me of Torrey Holt.
05:26One of those receivers like, okay, 20 years go past.
05:29If I say Mike Evans, are you going to know who I'm talking about?
05:31Or do I have to show you that Torrey Holt bixtape, and I say, oh, you forgot about this Mike Evans.
05:36So, yeah, I think that we need to put a little bit more respect on Mike Evans' name.
05:40So that's all I want to say.
05:42I definitely agree with that.
05:43Now, at my number four, might catch a little bit of heat for having him, I guess, this low on the list, which is already wild because it's only a top five list.
05:52I have Puka at number four, and the reason I have Puka this low is a lot of receivers that go in and out of that organization play their best football.
06:04So I don't necessarily know if this is all based on Puka, all based on his talent and how good he is as a receiver,
06:10or is this also on a little bit of the offensive structure that he's in that has just been able to light people's careers when it comes to slot receivers who are quick and have good hands.
06:21But I have him this high because he's very productive, but it does kind of make me wonder sometimes, what would he look like in a different offense?
06:29I mean, do you think that he would be Puka without Stafford?
06:34I don't.
06:35I don't.
06:36I think if you put him on – what's a team that you would compare to the Rams right now, I guess?
06:43In terms of – would you say maybe Tampa Bay, they have a good quarterback?
06:55Well, I think Stafford's a lot better than Baker Mayfield, but I don't know many other places you can go to say he's getting a better quarterback than the one that he has.
07:04But I'm also very high on Stafford, though.
07:06Yeah, yeah.
07:08Stafford is still a very underrated quarterback at this stage of his career.
07:13I think that – I mean, he won the Super Bowl.
07:15So he won the Super Bowl in the first year that he went to the Rams.
07:19So, I mean – so you mean to tell me all it took for you to get a ring was to leave Detroit for 12 months?
07:25I mean –
07:25But I think that's what we all expected, though.
07:27As soon as he got away from Detroit, I'm like, oh, yeah, he's going to get one.
07:30Not that fast, though.
07:31Not that fast.
07:32Oh, I definitely thought so.
07:35You basically planted him into a team that already had a dominant defense and a good head coach.
07:41I'm like, oh, yeah, that's exactly what this quarterback has needed his entire career.
07:46And to be fair, he did play the Bengals in the Super Bowl.
07:50I mean, you can't help me play.
07:53That's what I'm going to do.
07:54I mean, I'm just saying, you know, it's really easy to, you know, read some defensive coverages if I know that I have.
08:02But Eli Apple is one of my defenders.
08:04No shade.
08:05No shade.
08:06But he got cooked royally.
08:10A couple times.
08:11Yeah.
08:12Yeah.
08:13Are you at three?
08:15Three?
08:16Yeah.
08:17My number three, I have to go with it, even though he's hurt, Wilson, I'm a speed of recovery.
08:20But I got to go with CD, a.k.a. DVD Lamb.
08:24You know, I think that, listen, say what you want about Dallas, say what you want about the infrastructure and the organization and fun loving Jerry Jones.
08:35Well, when it comes down to it, CD Lamb produces when he's double covered.
08:39He produces when their offense is stagnant.
08:42He shines when their offense is glowing.
08:45You just gave him George Pickens to get a lot of heat off of him to make him even more productive than what he already is.
08:53And listen, I've had CD Lamb on a couple of my fantasy teams.
08:57I've seen him play in person.
08:58He's electrifying.
08:59He gives me Michael Irvin vibes when I watch the Dallas Cowboys play.
09:02He's that electric.
09:03He's that game breaker that can change a game where, you know, Dak Prescott can just lob it up, throw it about 60 yards.
09:12CD Lamb might come down with it if he's paying attention.
09:14You know, it's just one of those things where I can't, I refuse to sit down here and take all of this CD Lamb disrespect just because he plays for the Cowboys and he hasn't won anything.
09:24That's a Cowboys.
09:25That's an organizational situation that has nothing to do with him.
09:28He puts his numbers up.
09:29There's a reason that they paid him because they know that somebody was going to take him from them if they didn't.
09:33So, I mean, if it comes down to the situation where you either pay me or you let somebody else have my services, that conversation happened in the last, what, less than 24 hours before they offered him a contract?
09:47Yeah.
09:48Okay.
09:48You know, that.
09:51Look, I'm not mad at it.
09:53I, personally, not a huge CD fan because I just don't like Dallas.
09:58I just think they're overhyped.
10:00So, everything you said, I believe it to be true with my heart.
10:05I just can't.
10:07Right now, specifically because he's injured.
10:09But, yeah.
10:11I mean, you see the talent.
10:12Dallas has talent everywhere.
10:14It's just they can never put it all together.
10:15That's what always gets me about them specifically.
10:18Put C.D. Lamb on the Bears.
10:20Do you like them then?
10:27It's okay to say yes.
10:28You know.
10:30I would take somebody over both of those.
10:34I would take a different player completely.
10:38Jamar Chase is my number three.
10:42He is.
10:43He's my number three.
10:43I honestly think without a running game and at least a very solid number two,
10:53Jefferson can get overlooked by a couple or by two other receivers that I have on my list.
10:58So, he's very talented.
11:00He's very good.
11:01But he's not a let me get three tight ends.
11:05He's my only receiver out there.
11:06He's going to win in jump balls.
11:08He's just not that type of receiver to me where he's still very good, very productive.
11:12But I just don't think he's as dominant force as two other receivers that I have on my list, basically.
11:17You know, that's a very hot take.
11:19And I'm actually curious to see what backlash you might receive from that.
11:22I respect it.
11:24I respect it.
11:25But, I mean, did you see Jamar Chase play last year?
11:29Oh, no, I did.
11:30No, no, no.
11:30I saw it.
11:31But is the offense completely geared towards you and your number two is arguably a number one anywhere else he goes?
11:39Yeah, yeah.
11:39Like, I get it.
11:41I get it.
11:42I'll give you that.
11:43I'll give you that.
11:43T. Higgins.
11:44I respect that.
11:46And that's just why I haven't been number three.
11:48But also, it's only a top five list.
11:50Like, everybody on the list is good.
11:53It's just I don't feel like they're number one.
11:55So.
11:56Yeah.
11:56You know, that is probably, I will admit, I was surprised a little bit.
12:02Because usually most people have Jamar in the top two, minimum.
12:06Yeah.
12:06So, I definitely appreciate the difference in opinion.
12:10And I'm curious to see who you have above Jamar Chase.
12:13You know, speaking of, I think my number two might have a little bit of an edge depending on the season and the productivity you want to give him.
12:21But, I mean, hey, I got Justin Jefferson, Jay Jettis at number two.
12:26And I mean, the highlight catches are there, right?
12:29We can roll the tape.
12:30The productivity is there.
12:31We can check the numbers.
12:33The flair is there.
12:34We can look at the change during the game.
12:37We know what he is about.
12:40We know he represents the type of receiver that you don't expect to cook you until the game is over.
12:47You know, it's one of those, okay, I'm lined up against Jay Jettis before the game is over.
12:54Halftime.
12:54Okay, how does he have two touchdowns at 75 yards?
12:57I agree.
12:58Yeah.
12:58I don't know how that happened.
13:00And it'll be off of third down, out routes.
13:04You can throw him a fade.
13:06He can slide in the slot, run a drag, get you a first down.
13:10You can throw it over the top.
13:12It's just he's one of those do-it-all receivers, and there's not a lot of receivers like that in the league.
13:16So if you can do it all and produce on top of that and give me a little bit of flair, yeah, I think you are definitely deserving of a top three spot in my book.
13:23And even though the Vikings are going through a little bit of the quarterback carousel right now, that's not his fault.
13:32And the only time that we really saw a slight dip in production from Justin Jefferson was when J.J. McCarthy became his quarterback.
13:38And that was also his first NFL game.
13:41So I don't think that that's fair to Justin to say, oh, well, when you got J.J. McCarthy something.
13:47No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
13:49Look at every other game except for those first two, and then we can talk.
13:52Yeah, I echo everything you just said.
13:56That's why I've not said Justin Jefferson because he may or may not be on my list.
14:00He just may be at a higher spot.
14:02Now, at number two, I have, and I know a lot of people are going to hate everything about this, A.J. Brown.
14:09I feel like A.J. Brown physically is exactly what you're looking for in a receiver.
14:13He's an absolute dog.
14:15He does the intangibles.
14:17Not only does he run block, does he compete for jump balls.
14:21He does things to get your team engaged.
14:24He's also an intellectual.
14:25He's reading on the sideline.
14:26Okay?
14:27So a lot of good things going on.
14:28So that's actually why I have him at number two.
14:30I feel like there's been a lot of, for lack of a better word, slander on Hurts in this offense.
14:40I know.
14:41It's looked a little clanky.
14:43Okay?
14:44It hasn't looked great.
14:45Okay?
14:46They obviously have reins on it for whatever reason.
14:49They're winning games.
14:50I'm not mad at that.
14:51But we also know that Hurts can throw the football.
14:54Whenever he has to, he's shown the ability to.
14:58When he's allowed to look kind of back in college when he was at Oklahoma, he was able to throw it all around.
15:03That didn't disappear from a quarterback.
15:06Do they like just to run the ball and be super simple on offense?
15:10That's what I would say.
15:11But because of that, I feel like A.J. Brown is not able to shine in the aspect that I think he could on really any other offense.
15:18That's why I have him at number two, even though his numbers sometimes look non-existent, to be honest with you.
15:24I respect it.
15:26You know, I respect it because he is that physical, you know, homegrown, I'm going to out-muscle you for this ball type of receiver.
15:36Right?
15:37Facts.
15:37I, you know, I get that you said that there's a lot of hurt in that offense, no pun intended.
15:41But they do have this individual named Saquon Barkley in the backfield.
15:47So naturally, sometimes you prioritize based on convenience, right?
15:54Not only that, but you also have another Heisman winning receiver right next to you.
15:59It's like they have weapons all over the field.
16:02Like it's, that's why it's so wild.
16:03But let me ask you this.
16:05Put A.J. Brown on Dallas.
16:09What does he do?
16:18Without a doubt.
16:19In my opinion, I think he would look almost identical to how CeeDee does numbers-wise.
16:28He might have a few more touchdowns just because they throw more jump balls in the red zone.
16:32But I feel like, I feel like numbers, I think they'd almost be identical.
16:37I really do.
16:38They play exactly the same.
16:39They play on the outside.
16:40They would catch a lot of deep balls, just kind of throwing up, which CeeDee has a lot of fun with.
16:45He's running off screens, yards after catch.
16:47They'd be very close to the same player.
16:49Routes with Tree would not look the same, but yeah.
16:52The Tennessee Titans version of A.J. Brown is what you're saying?
16:56Yeah.
16:56Okay.
16:57I respect that because he was a monster when he was in Tennessee.
17:01To this day, I don't understand what the Tennessee Titans GM was doing with that trade.
17:07Still don't understand it to this day.
17:08Shout out to everyone who saw what the hell happened there because it's a head-scratcher.
17:15It's like trading a Bentley for a bag of Cheetos.
17:21The rich get richer, and Philly continues to get richer every year.
17:26When it comes to A.J. Brown, he's a dog.
17:29I just wish that he would, like you said, shine the way that he needs to shine in that offense.
17:32But I don't necessarily think that that's his decision.
17:35I think that falls on coaching.
17:36And there's a lot of talent on that Philly offense.
17:39So, you know, when you've got three offers on the team, you've got to feed the ball.
17:45Yeah.
17:46Me?
17:49Number one?
17:51Number one, my boy.
17:52I mean, does it go, at this point, does it really go without me saying?
17:56I mean, it's definitely Jamar Chase.
17:58I mean, I know you had him at number three.
18:00But if there is a receiver that can single-handedly say, I'm going to have 100 yards receiving next week.
18:13And then do it.
18:14I don't know if that's cockiness or just absolute confidence in your game.
18:20But if you can not only do that, but make a future Hall of Fame quarterback look better, shout out to Joe Burrow.
18:27Because you are his number one receiver, I think that that plays a role, too.
18:31And it's almost as if defenders just forget to play defense when he has the ball.
18:35He's made so many defenders look absolutely stupid on some of the simplest plays.
18:40It could be an out route.
18:41It could be a post route.
18:43Next thing you know, the defender's either out of bounds, missed a tackle, and Jamar Chase is in the end zone.
18:48And he does that week in and week out.
18:52And I'm pretty sure in most fantasy drafts, he went number one this year.
18:59And I'm pretty sure in most fantasy drafts, he went number one last year if it wasn't for Christian McCaffrey.
19:04So, what are we really doing here?
19:07If he's the first person that you look at or think of when we're talking receivers right now, does it really need I say more?
19:16No, I like it.
19:18I just moved him down on my list.
19:20I'm at three, but that's also because his quarterback just got injured.
19:23I feel like some of that production would definitely slip down.
19:26So, for me, at my number one, I had Justin Jefferson.
19:29And to echo everything you said, he has the flash.
19:31He has the speed.
19:32He has the off-the-field stuff that seems to somehow always be positive, which you love to see from your number one receiver.
19:40It's just, I just think it's, you can really go back and forth between Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson.
19:46A lot of people do.
19:47I just thought I'd squeeze A.J. Brown in there because, you know, I got to give my boy some love.
19:51But that is my number one.
19:53Now, my boy, let me ask you.
19:55Do you have any hot takes for this video?
19:58Not about receivers, just in general and anything that's going on right now.
20:01Do you have any hot takes?
20:03Oh, yeah.
20:04I got a really hot take for me right now.
20:06I think that the Colts 3-0 start is a fluke.
20:09Yeah.
20:10I know that everyone in Indianapolis is jumping for joy, clamping their hands, stomping their feet.
20:15I get it.
20:15I understand it.
20:16I respect it.
20:17And this is coming from an Indianapolis Colts fan, right?
20:19And you got to understand from my perspective, I get it.
20:23And Daniel Jones has become Indiana Jones.
20:25Our savior has arrived.
20:29Did we forget where he was last year?
20:33Can you tell me where he was last year?
20:35The Vikings, right?
20:36Can you tell me his stats from last season?
20:39You don't know?
20:40That's right, because there weren't any.
20:42You worry about the wrong thing.
20:44Let these people have hope, okay?
20:46All they need, all the Colts need is a competent quarterback, and they'll have at least a 500 team.
20:52And that's all Indy's asking for.
20:54They're not asking to win a Super Bowl out here.
20:56Can we break 500 and be somewhat exciting?
21:02This cold season is only going to end one or two ways.
21:05They're either not going to win 10 games and miss the playoffs,
21:08or they're going to win 10 games, make the wild card, and get blown out of the water
21:15in the first round of the playoffs.
21:17Yeah, and both of those are successful seasons.
21:20How is that a successful season when the Colts have done that for the past three seasons?
21:27Hey, look what we, well, I say we, I'm not a Colts fan.
21:31Look what they started with, okay?
21:32You had Richardson, which you were, apparently, the Colts were coming out,
21:37they wanted to move him to tight end after week one.
21:40So at least you have a competent quarterback.
21:42You have some weapons.
21:43Taylor looks good.
21:44You have a couple receivers.
21:46Your defense doesn't look terrible.
21:47You're like, hey, we have some pieces.
21:49If we get a quarterback, maybe we make a trade.
21:53We can compete in the playoffs with this roster.
21:57So, you know what?
21:58I don't hate it.
21:58It sounds like Fitzmagic to me.
22:01That's, yeah.
22:03Look, the GOAT?
22:05Is that who you're talking about?
22:07Fitz, Fitzpatrick?
22:08Okay, look, if he has a career like Fitzpatrick's, he, he would be the happiest man, okay?
22:14Fitzpatrick is the best quarterback of all time through the first four weeks of the season.
22:19Yeah, plus, if he, if he doesn't start his first game until about week eight,
22:24he also has a four-week span where he could win an MVP.
22:28So, you can't be mad at it.
22:29I mean, we said hot takes.
22:32My hot take is the Colts season is fool's gold.
22:37Fool's gold, you know?
22:39I think they're going to get exactly what you said, and I think that is amazing.
22:44Like, that's kind of what every Colts fan I spoke with was like,
22:48if we can just find a way to sneak into the playoffs, even if we get blown out,
22:52or we just end on somewhat of a high note, it's a good thing.
22:55And that's the problem.
22:57Colts fans have become conditioned to be content with mediocrity,
23:01and I don't understand why that is okay.
23:04So, we want to sneak into the playoffs to get our asses beat?
23:08Look, because we had, we had this conversation a second ago.
23:11It's really hard for organizations whose main job is to make money,
23:16lose games, and be bad so that they can be good in the future.
23:20For NFL teams, they have a very hard time doing that.
23:26NBA teams, my 76ers have been in the process for 10 years, okay?
23:30But NFL teams don't do it.
23:34They don't do it.
23:36NFL teams, some, not all, some tank, get the draft capital.
23:42Some actually develop the quarterbacks that they draft.
23:46Could be a straight towards Indianapolis, but we won't go there.
23:49Oh, it is.
23:51Have they ever done that, ever?
23:53I mean, Andrew Luck didn't need to be developed.
23:57Exactly.
23:58And then everyone that they got after that was already an aging out of the league quarterback.
24:03The Indianapolis Colts have had nine starting quarterbacks since 2018.
24:08They obviously don't know what they're doing in that department, but...
24:12Hold on.
24:13Wait a minute.
24:14What did you just say?
24:15They don't know what they're doing in that department.
24:17It's obvious.
24:17It's very obvious, since after luck, whoever is the head of that department has fell on
24:24hard times.
24:25So you say that, but I'm supposed to sit here and believe that Indiana Jones is the savior?
24:31But hold on, okay.
24:32Hold on, hold on.
24:33You're saying the word savior.
24:34I'm saying I agree with you.
24:36Sneaking into the playoffs and getting blown out is amazing.
24:39And you're like, he's the savior?
24:40Like, no.
24:41They're sneaking into the playoffs and they're getting blown out.
24:43That's what I'm saying is beautiful because that's exactly what Colts fans expected from
24:48this season.
24:49Unless Richardson was healthy and he has just a cannon of an arm and they're like, you
24:54know what?
24:54Maybe we're sneaky in the playoffs, but that has been not been the case at all for this
24:58team.
24:59I'll give you that.
25:00I'll give you that.
25:01So, hey.
25:02But love the hot take.
25:04Like I said, Colts fans are, well, Colts fans are delusional anyway.
25:08We're not talking about that.
25:09But if you are somebody that's new to the channel, really appreciate you stopping by
