Janie Collins is a hard working and talented New York City marketing and branding executive, and while she loves her work, she laments having to work for clients in whose products or services she doesn't believe. This Christmas season, she will be traveling to Woodland Falls upstate to deal with her Great Uncle Randall's estate - she the executor - before she and her boyfriend Charles Miller head to Los Angeles for a week including for the actual day. While she did ask him, Charles has no desire to accompany Janie to Woodland Falls, where she hasn't been since she was ten, as he evaluates all his decisions on how it will best benefit him professionally, he planning to go to Los Angeles early to make some business connections. Janie is surprised by two things in her time in Woodland Falls. First, that Dylan, the older brother of Nicole, her best childhood friend, lives on Uncle Randall's farm as his assistant. And second, that Uncle Randall has left the bulk of his estate to her, including the farm. While moving to Woodland Falls to be a farmer was not on her scope and thus her plan is to sell the farm, she, after some consideration, decides to stay longer until Christmas Eve to honor Randall's final request of her: to organize this year's edition of the Winter Wonderland, a community event which he always held on his property. While Janie can use her professional skills to handle the marketing side of the event, she requires Dylan's assistance to handle many of the local logistics on the farm. In spending time on the farm with Dylan organizing the event, Janie may come to a realization about a different path in life including with who she would really like to spend that life.

00:06:30As executor of his estate, everything else is up to you.
00:06:33Right.
00:06:34And I'll be here for a few days, so I'm going to pack up his things and then I'll decide what to do with the rest.
00:06:39Sure.
00:07:09Everything other than what he says, everything other than what he says, everything other than what he says, everything other than what he says, everything other than what he specified in that first document, it's all yours.
00:07:12Okay, but what am I supposed to do with a farm?
00:07:16Whatever you want to do with a farm?
00:07:23Can I ask if he confided in the farm?
00:07:25Can I ask if he confided in you why he gave me the farm?
00:07:29Perhaps this can shed a little light on things.
00:07:35Randall gave me that.
00:07:38Asked me to make sure it got into your hands.
00:07:41What is this?
00:07:42My guess answers to your questions.
00:07:48Oh.
00:07:49What is this?
00:08:08Hello?
00:08:21Hello?
00:08:23Hello?
00:08:24What are you doing here?
00:08:27Sir!
00:08:29What?
00:08:35Hi.
00:08:37Did you just throw a snowball at me?
00:08:39Yes, I did.
00:08:40I was trying to get your attention to ask what you're doing here.
00:08:42I can't hear you.
00:08:43I was...
00:08:45Could you take those...
00:08:47What?
00:08:50Could you just turn the tractor off?
00:08:51I'm going to turn the tractor off.
00:08:55Good idea.
00:08:58Are you here for the eggs?
00:09:00Am I here?
00:09:00What?
00:09:01The fresh eggs.
00:09:02You want some?
00:09:03Uh, no.
00:09:04No, no.
00:09:04I don't want any eggs.
00:09:05I don't need eggs.
00:09:06I-I'm just wondering what you're doing here.
00:09:12Janie?
00:09:14Yes.
00:09:15Are you Janie Collins?
00:09:18Yes.
00:09:18Wow.
00:09:20I-I mean, I haven't seen you in-in forever.
00:09:23You don't remember me, do you?
00:09:25Hmm.
00:09:26No.
00:09:27Should I?
00:09:27I mean, you spent literally, like, every day at my house as kids.
00:09:31Because you and my sister were inseparable.
00:09:34Are you Nicole's brother?
00:09:36Yeah.
00:09:36It's...
00:09:37Dylan.
00:09:38Dylan, yeah.
00:09:39Right.
00:09:41Wow.
00:09:42You...
00:09:42You don't look the same.
00:09:45Well, I mean...
00:09:45No, well, of course you don't look the same, right?
00:09:48Yeah.
00:09:48Yeah.
00:09:49Oh, wow.
00:09:50Oh, I am so sorry about that.
00:09:52Um, I apologize.
00:09:54The snowball.
00:09:55Is that your go-to opener?
00:09:56Just kind of launch a snowball at somebody?
00:09:58Is that on your roll?
00:09:59No, I was-I was just trying to get your attention to ask what you were doing here.
00:10:06No, I was just taking out the tractor, a little winter maintenance, that's it.
00:10:09Right.
00:10:09No, I know what you were doing.
00:10:11Just what you were doing here on-on this farm.
00:10:15Oh!
00:10:16No, I-I work here on this farm.
00:10:18Last few years I've been working here with Randall.
00:10:20Oh.
00:10:20Yeah.
00:10:21Actually co-running it, pretty much.
00:10:22I stay right there.
00:10:23In the guest cottage.
00:10:24I live here.
00:10:25Yeah, I've been just kind of keeping an eye on the place.
00:10:27He asked me to until the, uh, the new owner figured out what they're gonna do with it,
00:10:31which-which I'm guessing is you.
00:10:34Yeah.
00:10:36Temporarily, anyway.
00:10:37All right.
00:10:41Um, you gotta be freezing.
00:10:43Let's get you in the house.
00:10:43Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:10:44You know what?
00:10:45No, I can do it.
00:10:46You're fine.
00:10:46You just do whatever you were doing.
00:10:48I know you've got a lot of work to do, I'm sure.
00:10:51I will, uh, I'll go in and get myself settled.
00:10:53No problem.
00:10:54Absolutely, of course.
00:10:55Yeah, you go-you go get, uh,
00:10:56acclimated to being back,
00:10:58and then, uh, I'll just come by in the morning,
00:11:00and I'll tell you everything you need to know about the farm,
00:11:01and, I don't know, maybe we'll grab a bite to eat or something.
00:11:06Oh, would they-
00:11:07Yeah, that would be great.
00:11:09All right, well, I'll be in the workshop if you need me.
00:11:11You just-
00:11:12Yeah, just-
00:11:13Just knock.
00:11:14Snowball not required.
00:11:16It's not required.
00:11:16No, no, of course.
00:11:17Yeah.
00:11:18No more snowballs, I promise.
00:11:19All right, uh, well, uh, good to see you again.
00:11:23Yeah, yeah, really good seeing you, too.
00:11:26Yeah.

00:11:57Bye-bye.
00:11:58Bye-bye.
00:11:59My darling Janie,
00:12:22I imagine you must be pretty confused right now.
00:12:25Why would Randall leave me his farm?
00:12:28Well, I'll tell you.
00:12:31In the years I've lived here,
00:12:33I never saw anyone light up at this place more than you did.
00:12:37I know you haven't seen it much since you've grown and made your way in the world,
00:12:41but there's never been a doubt in my mind.
00:12:45The farm belongs to you.
00:12:48I know it's unlikely you'll decide to keep it.
00:12:51If anyone knows how difficult it is to run this place, it's yours truly.
00:12:55But I do have a favor to ask you.
00:12:58I'd love to see the old barn host Winter Wonderland one last time
00:13:05and give this beloved town tradition the send-off it deserves.
00:13:09It's a lot to ask, and I know you're so busy,
00:13:14but if you have the time and inclination to stay through Christmas
00:13:18and help make it happen, it would mean a lot.
00:13:22Know that I am very proud of you and the person you have become.
00:13:27Whatever you decide, I understand.
00:13:30With love, Randall.
00:13:32Hello, Randall.
00:13:57Hey, I was hoping I'd hear from you.
00:14:01I'm sorry. I missed your call earlier. I've been in meetings all day.
00:14:04That's okay. I was just wanting to let you know I made it here in one piece.
00:14:09I miss you today. I am actually at your place right now, dropping off an early present.
00:14:16You are?
00:14:18I am. It is a postmodern Christmas tree.
00:14:23Well, that's very festive.
00:14:26You know, I thought you might like a little holiday cheer when you get back in a couple of days.
00:14:32Uh, yeah, about that, I don't know exactly when I'm going to be back.
00:14:42Really? Is everything okay?
00:14:43Yeah, no, no, no. It's fine. It's just that, um, well, Randall left me something.
00:14:52Something big.
00:14:54What?
00:14:55Like a horse?
00:14:56No, like the farm.
00:14:58The farm? Like the whole thing?
00:15:01Yeah.
00:15:04Okay, uh, so what are you going to do?
00:15:08I mean, I'll tell you what I'm thinking. I'm thinking I can't run a farm from 200 miles away, right?
00:15:13You know, a fully functioning farm could sell for a lot of money, Janie.
00:15:17Yes, there is that. But, um, well, there's also something else. You see, Randall left me this letter, and in the letter, he asked me if I could put on the town festival.
00:15:33A festival?
00:15:34Yeah, he held it every year at his farm, and it's called Winter Wonderland, and it's like this three-day Christmas market that the whole town participates in. It's kind of a big deal out here.
00:15:45Okay, so what does that mean?
00:15:50Well, uh, it would mean that I'd have to stay here until the festival is over, which is Christmas-y.
00:16:01Oh, so L.A.
00:16:03I know, I know. Listen, I know that you really wanted to go to L.A., but look, I'm not saying I've made up my mind.
00:16:10I'm just thinking out loud.
00:16:17Hey, I actually have to run. I'm eating Bill for drinks.
00:16:20No, wait a minute. Hold on.
00:16:21I'm fine. Look, a couple of days on the farm, you'll be dreaming of a real vacation. I'm not too worried.
00:16:29Okay. I love you.
00:16:31I'll talk to you soon.
00:16:40So, how's it feel, being back?
00:16:52Strangely familiar?
00:16:54Though definitely different than Manhattan.
00:16:57Well, I bet.
00:16:59Randall mentioned that you ended up there, not too far from home.
00:17:02Yeah, yeah, but it feels like a different planet.
00:17:05You know, the culture, the architecture, the food, the energy, everything.
00:17:10Well, I don't know about the culture, but the eating here is pretty good, case in point.
00:17:16Oh, is this the old pit stop?
00:17:19Yeah.
00:17:20Oh, yeah, Randall and I used to come here every Saturday morning.
00:17:24We used to get the short stack.
00:17:27Oh, good memory.
00:17:28Unfortunately, there's not as many greasy diners in Woodland Falls as there used to be,
00:17:32but the food here is so good, you're going to love it.
00:17:35Hope you're hungry.
00:17:38You're right.
00:17:38Food's incredible.
00:17:41Oh, good.
00:17:41I'm glad.
00:17:42I'm glad you like it.
00:17:43I mean, you should be here during harvest because that's when it's literally farm to table.
00:17:48It's even better, if you can believe it.
00:17:52What?
00:17:53No, nothing.
00:17:54It's just that, I don't know, this is a little funny for me.
00:17:57You know, I haven't seen you since I was 10 years old, and here we sit, just chat away like old friends.
00:18:07Yeah.
00:18:08I mean, we are kind of old.
00:18:10Hey, no, no, no, no, no.
00:18:11Don't put me in that category.
00:18:12No, all I mean is you're just easy to talk to.
00:18:18That's really nice of you to say.
00:18:21Can I ask your advice on something?
00:18:23Sure.
00:18:24So, Randall left me this letter, and in the letter, he asked me to put on Winter Wonderland this year.
00:18:35Really?
00:18:37What do you mean?
00:18:38Well, you remember how big a deal Winter Wonderland is, right?
00:18:41Yeah, I mean, it's a festival.
00:18:43No, no, it's so much more than a festival to so many people.
00:18:46Are you kidding me now?
00:18:47And not just because we're crazy about Christmas around here, but because, I mean, people really rely on it.
00:18:52You know, the tourists come in, and they're buying the goods, and they're shopping on Main Street.
00:18:57It's a real boost to the local economy every holiday season, and Randall knew that.
00:19:02That's why he put it on every year.
00:19:05It's a lot of work, I know, because I helped them do it,
00:19:07but I don't think people are really expecting it to happen,
00:19:11so if you go home and don't do it, you don't have to feel guilty about it.
00:19:18Except for the fact that I'm ignoring my great uncle's last wish.
00:19:22Except for that.
00:19:25Yeah.
00:19:28Well, if you do decide to put it on, um, I'd be happy to help you.
00:19:34Thank you, I appreciate that.
00:19:38Just think about it for a little while, but not too long,
00:19:41because there's, like, about a week left to throw it all together, so...
00:19:46No pressure, right?
00:19:47Mm-hmm.
00:19:49Mm-hmm.
00:20:49You're probably working, but I just had to say something, and I know this means canceling
00:20:56L.A., and I'm sorry, and I hope that you understand, but I'm going to stay here for Christmas, and
00:21:04I'm going to put on Winter Wonderland.
00:21:21Janie, what do you mean you're staying?
00:21:23I know this ruins your plans, and I'm sorry, but it's important.
00:21:29I don't understand.
00:21:31Why do you have to stay?
00:21:32Can't someone else do it?
00:21:33No, Charles.
00:21:35He asked me to.
00:21:38Besides, why don't you just cancel your reservation?
00:21:41You can come down here.
00:21:42It'll be fun.
00:21:43It's too late to cancel.
00:21:44Also, I set up a few meetings out there, trying to expand my client base.
00:21:50And there is the real reason.
00:21:52So, is it safe to assume that you are still going?
00:21:57I have to.
00:21:57Charles, I don't understand why you can't come down here with me, but yet you can take
00:22:05a big trip to California?
00:22:07Look, I'll be in L.A. for a week.
00:22:10If you come to your senses, there's a room waiting for you.
00:22:14Okay.
00:22:15All right, Charles.
00:22:16I'll talk to you later.
00:22:20Hey, city girl.
00:22:22Oh.
00:22:24Hi.
00:22:25Didn't even see you there.
00:22:26How are you settling in?
00:22:27And you, uh, you need anything?
00:22:31Uh, well, I was actually just going to come over and talk to you.
00:22:40Strong.
00:22:41Uh, no, I was actually going to come over and talk to you later and just tell you that I've
00:22:48decided I'm going to stay.
00:22:50Yeah, I'm going to put on Winter Wonderland.
00:22:52Are you serious?
00:22:54Yeah.
00:22:54That's fantastic.
00:22:55I'm, I'm so happy to hear that.
00:22:58I was, I was really hoping that you would.
00:23:01Oh.
00:23:03Well, can't really let down Randall and the entire rest of the town, apparently.
00:23:09So, you, you said that you have some experience putting this thing on?
00:23:15Every Christmas since I've been working with Randall.
00:23:18Um, great.
00:23:20Great.
00:23:21Well, where do I start?
00:23:26Come with me.
00:23:26Are you cold?
00:23:30Come on.
00:23:31Come on.
00:23:36Oh.
00:23:38It's not quite as magical as I remember it.
00:23:42Well, that's because it's usually cleared out by now.
00:23:45That's the first order of business.
00:23:46We're going to clean this place up.
00:23:47Right.
00:23:48Yeah.
00:23:48Yeah.
00:23:49Then we've got to decorate and we've got to set the vendor's stands up.
00:23:51Not to mention the petting zoo and the carnival games.
00:23:55We've got to hire a Santa.
00:23:56Wow.
00:23:57Okay.
00:23:57That's, that's a lot.
00:24:00It's really grown that much, huh?
00:24:02Oh, every Christmas it gets bigger and bigger.
00:24:03You're, you're not feeling in over your head already, are you?
00:24:07No.
00:24:08Not at all.
00:24:09Everything is manageable with a plan in place.
00:24:11We just have to follow it step by step.
00:24:14And the first step is letting everybody know that the festival is on.
00:24:17Yeah, absolutely.
00:24:18That, that was Randall's area of expertise.
00:24:20So, I'm not exactly sure how much I can help you with that.
00:24:22No, no, no.
00:24:22It's totally fine.
00:24:23This is what I do.
00:24:24Trust me.
00:24:25Oh.
00:24:26But, however, I may need your help because I'd like to get a few more photos for the festival
00:24:30to post online.
00:24:31Oh, yeah, yeah.
00:24:32My sister can help with that.
00:24:33Nicole's got, like, albums full of photos from years past.
00:24:36And I'm heading over to her house tonight for dinner.
00:24:38She still lives here?
00:24:39Yeah.
00:24:40You should come tonight.
00:24:42I would love to see Nicole.
00:24:44Yes, I am in.
00:24:45Great.
00:24:53There you go.
00:24:59Think they're going to recognize me?
00:25:00Well, I, uh, I kind of texted everybody and let them know you were coming.
00:25:04So, don't be surprised if...
00:25:06Janine Collins.
00:25:08Ow!
00:25:08Oh, my God!
00:25:09Oh, my God!
00:25:10It is so good to see you.
00:25:12You too.
00:25:12Wow.
00:25:14Hey, brother.
00:25:14Hey.
00:25:15Come on in.
00:25:15Hey.
00:25:15I can't believe that you're a deputy.
00:25:19Yeah, so after high school, I went straight into the academy, and I've been making Woodland
00:25:23Falls a safer place ever since.
00:25:25And clearly we need it.
00:25:26It's got one of the lowest crime rates in the county.
00:25:29Wait, how do you think it got that way?
00:25:30Oh, fair enough.
00:25:31Um, and along the way, I married Rick, and we had a kid.
00:25:36What?
00:25:36Wait a minute.
00:25:37You married Rick?
00:25:38Yeah, we're still together.
00:25:39Where is he?
00:25:39Well, he's on the road for work until Christmas, but he's working with Santa to bring back Gracie
00:25:44a special present to open on Christmas morning.
00:25:47Oh, that's nice.
00:25:48Yeah.
00:25:49So, what about you, Esther?
00:25:51Are you still painting?
00:25:52I am.
00:25:53Mom opened up a gallery right in town.
00:25:55Really?
00:25:55Yeah.
00:25:56I would love to see it before I leave.
00:25:57Oh, anytime, my dear.
00:25:59You come on by.
00:26:00So, what have you been up to all these years, Janie?
00:26:02Dylan mentioned that you're in the Big Apple now.
00:26:05Yeah, I am.
00:26:06I am.
00:26:07I am working for a company called Knit.
00:26:10We do marketing and brand management for products, place them with influencers, increase
00:26:16their online presence, things like that.
00:26:18I have no idea what most of that means, but it sounds really interesting.
00:26:22No, it is.
00:26:23It is.
00:26:23I promise.
00:26:24It's stressful.
00:26:24And there's not a lot of downtime, but it is what it is, and I just wish I could pick
00:26:30the products that I try to sell.
00:26:32I mean, trying to sell energy drinks sometimes is not that fun.
00:26:38Well, I hear that you are putting on the Winter Wonderland this year, and I cannot tell
00:26:43you how much the town is going to appreciate that.
00:26:46Yeah, Dylan said you needed pictures.
00:26:48I mean, I have tons.
00:26:49Why don't we go through the album after we're done eating?
00:26:51That sounds great.
00:26:52Great.
00:26:53Okay.
00:26:53This was amazing.
00:26:55Thank you so much.
00:26:56Enjoy, everybody.
00:26:57Yeah.
00:26:57Okay.
00:26:57Well, two full days back.
00:27:14What do you think?
00:27:15It was great.
00:27:16Great.
00:27:17I mean, it's hard to beat Christmas in Woodland Falls.
00:27:19Right?
00:27:20Yeah, I'll admit that.
00:27:21I mean, you should give the rest of the year a shot.
00:27:22Fall here is so spectacular.
00:27:24You probably don't even remember that, do you?
00:27:26Plus, you could help out with the harvest.
00:27:29I mean, assuming you don't sell the farm, obviously.
00:27:33Right.
00:27:37You know, I want to be completely transparent here.
00:27:40I did ask Sidney to put the farm up for sale.
00:27:43Well, um, I kind of thought it was just a matter of time, I guess, anyways.
00:27:57But it's not like we're saying goodbye.
00:27:59You know, we're still going to do the festival.
00:28:02Yeah.
00:28:02No, no.
00:28:02Of course not.
00:28:03No.
00:28:03Um.
00:28:04Great.
00:28:05Well, I should probably get to bed because we still have tons of work left, so.
00:28:08Yeah.
00:28:09Yeah, for sure.
00:28:10Yeah, me too.
00:28:12See you.
00:28:15Good night.
00:28:16Good night.
00:28:16Good night.
00:28:31Good morning.
00:28:36Good morning.
00:28:38You look, um.
00:28:40Tired.
00:28:43Yeah, I was up all night working on posts for Winter Wonderland.
00:28:46Come on in.
00:28:46Okay.
00:28:47Yeah, close to her.
00:28:48Close to her.
00:28:51What is this?
00:28:52Oh, I, uh, had to do a little grocery shopping for myself this morning.
00:28:55I figured Randall's fridge was still pretty bare, so I, uh, I got you some groceries while
00:29:00I was at it.
00:29:01That's sweet.
00:29:03Yeah, no problem.
00:29:03I also got you some great stuff from the farm.
00:29:07Oh.
00:29:08Now this brings back memories.
00:29:11You know, Randall used to walk me around this farm.
00:29:14He taught me how to do everything.
00:29:16And I am embarrassed to say I can't remember how to do any of it.
00:29:21I can show you a few things if you want.
00:29:23I'm not doing your chores for you.
00:29:26I would never ask you to do that, but you do happen to own the place.
00:29:29Albeit temporarily.
00:29:31Mm-hmm.
00:29:31You might enjoy it.
00:29:33Plus, the sooner I finish my chores, the sooner I can help you with Winter Wonderland.
00:29:37Yeah, there it is.
00:29:38There it is.
00:29:39Quid pro quo.
00:29:41Yeah, something like that.
00:29:44Okay.
00:29:45All right.
00:29:46Well, what's first?
00:29:47We start by you getting dressed.
00:29:49Oh.
00:29:49Yeah.
00:29:50Oh.
00:29:51Sorry.
00:29:51I'll be right back.
00:29:52Okay.
00:29:52Okay.
00:29:56What are we doing?
00:29:58Hey.
00:29:59Where's guys?
00:30:00Hey.
00:30:01Here.
00:30:01Here.
00:30:03Thanks.
00:30:04Come on.
00:30:04Here you go.
00:30:05Here you go.
00:30:05Here you go.
00:30:06Here you go.
00:30:08Come on.
00:30:09Good job, everybody.
00:30:11Woo!
00:30:11Oh.
00:30:12Right here.
00:30:13Here you go.
00:30:13Down right there.
00:30:17Oh.
00:30:18There you go.
00:30:19There you go.
00:30:20There you go.
00:30:20I can't thank you enough, Earl.
00:30:36Honestly, your trees are always just so beautiful.
00:30:38But this one has to be the best tree ever.
00:30:41It really does.
00:30:42Well, we always save the best for Randall.
00:30:44Hi.
00:30:45Hey, Janie, come here.
00:30:46Meet Earl.
00:30:47Earl's family has the Christmas tree lot across town.
00:30:50Everybody in Woodland Falls.
00:30:51I mean, everybody buys their trees from this man and his family at the Wyatt Park.
00:30:55Yeah, the Wyatts.
00:30:56I remember you guys.
00:30:57Didn't you sell honey?
00:30:58Oh, we're still doing the honey.
00:31:00But when my daughter Julie got married, we expanded the operation a bit.
00:31:04Nice.
00:31:06Well, it's nice to see you again.
00:31:08You too.
00:31:09Seriously, though.
00:31:11Folks are awful happy to hear that Winter Winterland is back on.
00:31:14It's a big part of this town.
00:31:16Something we really can't afford to lose.
00:31:18The fact that it's good for business doesn't hurt.
00:31:22Yeah, you hear that.
00:31:23I'm glad it's helping.
00:31:24I'm glad it's helping.
00:31:24Hey, Earl.
00:31:26You guys ever thought about having a second location?
00:31:29Sir, you don't need anything up with that.
00:31:36I got it.
00:31:37What are you talking about?
00:31:38This is a tree.
00:31:40This is a tree.
00:31:42Right here, okay?
00:31:43Yeah, that's fine.
00:31:44Okay.
00:31:44Oh, here.
00:31:45Let me move these boxes.
00:31:47What do you think?
00:31:48Here, I'm...
00:31:48That's the spot.
00:31:50That's the spot right there for sure, yeah.
00:31:52Hey, that was a really nice thing that you did for Earl, I gotta say.
00:31:55Do you have some scissors?
00:31:56Yeah.
00:31:56He's probably gonna sell twice as many trees when people show up at Winter Wonderland.
00:32:03They see a whole forest of Christmas trees out there.
00:32:05It's just good for business.
00:32:07Plus, it means more traffic for both of us.
00:32:09And we have this pretty little display of Christmas trees right in front of the barn.
00:32:14All for you, George.
00:32:15Thank you very much.
00:32:16You actually made a profit on the deal somehow when they gave you this tree.
00:32:20Well, what can I say?
00:32:21I'm a genius.
00:32:23You do have a good head for it.
00:32:25You would make a decent farmer.
00:32:27What?
00:32:29I'm serious.
00:32:31People think it's just like waking up at the crack of dawn and doing some heavy lifting or whatever.
00:32:35But you need to have a good business sense, and you do.
00:32:37And by the way, I gotta say, you're not as useless at firm work as I thought you'd be.
00:32:44I guess you can't take the farm out of the girl.
00:32:49Nope.
00:32:51This work?
00:32:52Yes, it is exhausting.
00:32:54But I don't know.
00:32:55I'm really enjoying it.
00:32:57And it's somehow satisfying.
00:33:02That looks great.
00:33:04That's a nice tree.
00:33:05It's a good tree.
00:33:06It's not a Christmas tree yet.
00:33:09Hmm.
00:33:10You know what?
00:33:13There are some boxes in the basement labeled Christmas.
00:33:17I mean, the tree needs some love.
00:33:20I'll go check.
00:33:20I can't believe you've been here an entire week, and you're just putting up the Christmas tree now.
00:33:33Well, in my defense, I mean, I was only supposed to be here a few days.
00:33:38Lucky for us, those plans fell through.
00:33:45Man, that's pretty perfect.
00:33:50Yeah, it is.
00:33:54Here you go.
00:33:55Thanks.
00:33:58Hey, um, have you heard from Sydney about selling?
00:34:02Oh, I'm actually supposed to meet with him tomorrow.
00:34:05You know, I'm hoping that we find a really good buyer.
00:34:08Oh, I hope so.
00:34:09I mean, Randall would have loved to keep this farm up and running.
00:34:12He really would have.
00:34:14I don't know why he gave it to me.
00:34:15I mean, I haven't stepped foot on a farm in, like, 20 years.
00:34:23Um, but listen, I am being serious about it.
00:34:26Because I know that, you know, your home and your job is all tied up in what happens to this
00:34:32place, so...
00:34:33Yeah.
00:34:34Well, I know.
00:34:35Yeah.
00:34:37I still, I just don't know why he gave it to me, of all people.
00:34:41Wait.
00:34:42Really?
00:34:42You don't?
00:34:44No, I don't.
00:34:45He was crazy about you, Jane.
00:34:47He talked about you all the time.
00:34:50I did?
00:34:51Yes.
00:34:52He was...
00:34:52He was so proud of you.
00:34:55I mean, I know you only lived here for 10 years, but those 10 years that you spent visiting
00:34:58him at the farm were...
00:35:00They were like everything to him.
00:35:03I think you were the closest thing to a daughter he ever had.
00:35:13It's Charles.
00:35:13Charles.
00:35:14You, um, you gonna answer that?
00:35:24I haven't decided yet.
00:35:26That doesn't sound good.
00:35:28Well, it's just that...
00:35:30The last time we spoke, things got a little...
00:35:34Strange.
00:35:37Um, yeah.
00:35:40Uh, you know what?
00:35:41I should probably call him back.
00:35:43Yeah.
00:35:44Right.
00:35:45I'll, uh...
00:35:46I'll head out.
00:35:47Leave you to it.
00:35:48Um, hey.
00:35:51It's been really nice reconnecting with you.
00:35:56Yeah, it has.
00:35:58Hey, and thanks for the tree.
00:36:00I love it.
00:36:00Good.
00:36:01I'll see you tomorrow.
00:36:02Okay.
00:36:03Okay.
00:36:04Bye.
00:36:05Bye.
00:36:11Bye.
00:36:11Bye.
00:36:12Bye.
00:36:12Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:13Bye.
00:36:14Bye.
00:36:18Wow.
00:36:20Janie, this is such a good idea.
00:36:23I mean, I can't believe Randall never thought to do it.
00:36:25It just seems so obvious now.
00:36:27So...
00:36:27What about this one, Mom?
00:36:29Oh, Gracie, that's perfect.
00:36:32Is that the one you want?
00:36:33You sure?
00:36:35Okay.
00:36:36I'll ring it up.
00:36:36Woo.
00:36:36Woo.
00:36:37Mrs. Wyatt, we can ring up a six-foot tree for 50 bucks.
00:36:43No way.
00:36:45Mrs. Wyatt, you can't keep giving away free trees.
00:36:49It's bad for your business.
00:36:50Please call me Marjorie.
00:36:52And there is no way I'm going to make a deputy pay for a Christmas tree.
00:36:55Hmm.
00:36:56Especially when she's your best friend, Janie.
00:36:58Oh, I love it.
00:36:59And anyway, um, the trees are my son-in-law's business.
00:37:02Earl and I make our money selling honey.
00:37:05Oh, that's right.
00:37:06You know what?
00:37:07I have still yet to try your honey.
00:37:08In fact, you know what?
00:37:09Dylan should be back any minute.
00:37:11He's probably got some on his truck.
00:37:12Well, you don't have to wait till then, dear.
00:37:14I brought some with me for my lunch.
00:37:17Now, you just give me your hand.
00:37:20Okay.
00:37:21Mm-hmm.
00:37:25Oh.
00:37:26Ah!
00:37:28Mm.
00:37:32Marjorie, dare I say that might be the best honey that I have ever had?
00:37:35No.
00:37:36That's our apple blossom.
00:37:38It's one of my favorites.
00:37:40But just you wait till you try the rosemary.
00:37:42We've been perfecting that recipe for 30 years.
00:37:46It's all natural, mind you.
00:37:48Wait a minute.
00:37:48It tastes like this and it's organic?
00:37:50Yeah.
00:37:50Okay, so why don't you sell this in health food stores?
00:37:56We don't get too far out of Woodland Falls.
00:37:59But that's just fine with me because I get to see the joy on people's faces as they taste it.
00:38:05And you can't put a price on that.
00:38:07Yeah, I guess you're right.
00:38:12There's Uncle Dylan.
00:38:14Uncle Dylan, look at my tree!
00:38:15Oh!
00:38:16That is a beauty!
00:38:18Woo!
00:38:22Okay, here you go.
00:38:23Hey there.
00:38:24Hey.
00:38:26How'd it go?
00:38:27Great.
00:38:28Great.
00:38:28I feel like I saw half the town this morning.
00:38:31That's just the first load.
00:38:32Wow.
00:38:33Uncle Dylan!
00:38:34Is the petting tree ready?
00:38:36As a matter of fact, the last animals were dropped off this morning.
00:38:39The only problem is we're looking for somebody to give them all a nice warm welcome.
00:38:44Who could do that?
00:38:45I don't know.
00:38:46Mom, can we?
00:38:47Please?
00:38:48I suppose I ought to make sure these animals aren't ferocious.
00:38:50Yay!
00:38:51You want to come?
00:38:53Actually, I was going to check out the barn.
00:38:55I've got a couple of weeks.
00:38:56No.
00:38:57Just keep walking.
00:39:01There they are!
00:39:06Oh, we have them!
00:39:07Look at them!
00:39:07Crazy!
00:39:08Bring some food.
00:39:09Let's see the camels.
00:39:11Oh, look at them!
00:39:13So nice!
00:39:14Hi!
00:39:15Aren't they so cute?
00:39:16Yes!
00:39:18Aw!
00:39:20So, how have you enjoyed being back?
00:39:22Oh, it's been amazing.
00:39:24Yeah, I have to say, I have loved putting on this festival and being here on the farm,
00:39:29working with Dylan, it's just, you know, it feels like, for once, I'm doing something
00:39:33that matters.
00:39:34Yeah, because you are.
00:39:35Yeah.
00:39:36Well.
00:39:37And then, there's Charles.
00:39:43And I mean, we get along, most of the time.
00:39:47I guess it can't be butterflies all the time, right?
00:39:53Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that this trip has just opened my eyes.
00:39:57You know, and maybe when I get back to New York City, I'll be able to see things a little
00:40:03more clearly.
00:40:04Yeah.
00:40:05Yeah, I hope so.
00:40:07So, you want my two cents?
00:40:09I don't think it gets much clearer than Woodland Falls on a Starry Night.
00:40:22How's it going over there, city girl?
00:40:25Good.
00:40:26These guys are hungry.
00:40:27You're very popular.
00:40:29Look at that.
00:40:31Ah!
00:40:32Oh, my gosh.
00:40:34They can tell you're from New York.
00:40:36There you go.
00:40:37There you go.
00:40:40Okay.
00:40:41All right, Gracie.
00:40:42Wait until you see all of this.
00:40:44Look at this.
00:40:46Look at this.
00:40:46This is your grandma's paintings.
00:40:47And we got some handmade originals right over here.
00:40:49That's right.
00:40:50And we got Wyatt's honey.
00:40:51Oh, so much more, too.
00:40:53Wow, mom.
00:40:54Look at all the cookies.
00:40:55Wow, Gracie.
00:40:57Hey, speaking of cookies, don't we have a special project we need to get home to?
00:41:02Yeah, yeah, we do.
00:41:04But you'll be back tomorrow to help finish setting up, right?
00:41:06We'll be here.
00:41:07You better.
00:41:07Okay.
00:41:07Night, you two.
00:41:08Night.
00:41:08See you, too.
00:41:09Bye, Gracie.
00:41:10Now, as nice as this looks, there's something else I want to show you.
00:41:14Upstairs.
00:41:15Finally.
00:41:16I get to see it?
00:41:16Let's go.
00:41:17Close your eyes at the top of the stairs, though.
00:41:19Okay.
00:41:20Hey, all right.
00:41:22You can't see, right?
00:41:23You can't see through my fingers right now?
00:41:24I can't see.
00:41:25Good.
00:41:25That's why I'm walking like this.
00:41:26Am I going too fast?
00:41:28No, you're okay now.
00:41:29All right.
00:41:30Okay, stop here.
00:41:31Okay.
00:41:32Perfect.
00:41:32Okay.
00:41:32Now, I'm going to take my hand.
00:41:33Well, no, I don't want you to open.
00:41:35I'm going to take my hand away.
00:41:37Don't open your eyes.
00:41:38Promise?
00:41:39Yes.
00:41:39Okay.
00:41:40Um, all right.
00:41:43So, I'm going to be right back.
00:41:44Wait a minute.
00:41:44Where are you going?
00:41:45I'm going to be right back.
00:41:46You're safe.
00:41:46It's fine.
00:41:47And now, I'm going to count to three.
00:41:48When I count to three, um, you're going to open your eyes.
00:41:53Okay?
00:41:53On three.
00:41:54Okay.
00:41:54On three.
00:41:55Ready?
00:41:55One, two, three.
00:42:09Dylan, I can't believe this.
00:42:12This is incredible.
00:42:14Did you do this all by yourself?
00:42:17Yeah.
00:42:18Yeah, I just kind of kept it a secret and wanted to surprise you.
00:42:22Wow.
00:42:23You like it?
00:42:24Yes.
00:42:25I love it.
00:42:28Of course, I forgot the radio.
00:42:30Oh.
00:42:31Let me just, uh.
00:42:33Oh, no, no, no, no.
00:42:34Wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:42:37Oh, that song.
00:42:42Randall and I used to dance to it when I was a little girl.
00:42:47And he used to tell me it was our song.
00:42:49Okay.
00:42:52Hey.
00:42:54Are you okay?
00:42:58Yeah, I'm okay.
00:42:59I just...
00:43:00I miss him.
00:43:09Well, obviously, I'm not half the dancer Randall was, but...
00:43:12I'd really love to fill in if you'd have me.
00:43:22Yeah.
00:43:24That would be nice.
00:43:25Yet with the woes of sin and strife
00:43:34The world has suffered long
00:43:39Beneath the angels' strain
00:43:45Have rolled two thousand years of wrong
00:43:52I think we should go and load the trunk.
00:44:08But you did a really good job in here.
00:44:12Oh.
00:44:14Thanks.
00:44:14Thank you for the dance.
00:44:18How'd I do?
00:44:19You're not as good as Randall.
00:44:21Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:44:22Ha, ha, ha.
00:44:23Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:44:25Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:44:43Hey, Marjorie, didn't Dylan already do a pickup for you?
00:44:54How much money do you have?
00:44:56Well, 30 years worth.
00:44:58Thought I'd just bring just a few more.
00:45:01You should see the cellar.
00:45:03Might as well live in a hive.
00:45:06Can you take those to the roof for me, please?
00:45:09Yeah, I think I can handle that.
00:45:11Hey, hon.
00:45:12Wow, the place looks great, Janie.
00:45:19Hey, are you ready to play Santa tomorrow?
00:45:21Oh, you bet.
00:45:22Luckily, I fit the part.
00:45:24I got the belly of a man who stopped farming but kept eating honey.
00:45:27Spitting image.
00:45:29Well, we'd better go help Dylan set up.
00:45:31Shall we?
00:45:32Mm-hmm.
00:45:32Bye.
00:45:33Bye.
00:45:34Hey, what's wrong?
00:45:45Well, um, poor Gracie spent all day yesterday making cookies.
00:45:50She wanted to sell them to raise money for school, only...
00:45:53They're disgusting.
00:45:56Well, I mean, I'm sure they're not that bad.
00:46:01May I?
00:46:02I knew it.
00:46:12Well, we can fix it.
00:46:14No, we can't.
00:46:15Mom already tried helping me, and look what happened.
00:46:18I think I made things worse.
00:46:20I mean, I can barely boil water.
00:46:21All right.
00:46:27I know what we're gonna do.
00:46:29Uh, we're gonna start over.
00:46:31And we're gonna make the best cookies that you have ever tasted in your entire life.
00:46:39Okay, this batch has cooled.
00:46:41I think it's time for a taste test.
00:46:43Ooh.
00:46:44Is this to you?
00:46:45I think you want.
00:46:46All right.
00:46:47Ready?
00:46:50Mm.
00:46:51Mm.
00:46:53Mm.
00:46:54Now that's a cookie.
00:46:55You know what we call them?
00:46:57Do you remember?
00:46:59I don't.
00:47:00Friendship cookies.
00:47:01Oh, right.
00:47:02Friendship cookies.
00:47:03I'm gonna make so much money for school.
00:47:06Yes, you are.
00:47:08Jay, you in there?
00:47:09Yeah, door's open.
00:47:13Oh.
00:47:14Sorry.
00:47:16Hey.
00:47:16Whoa.
00:47:17You guys have been busy.
00:47:19So, how's everything coming along at the bar?
00:47:24Good.
00:47:24Starting to wind out, but pretty much ready for tomorrow.
00:47:28Uncle Dylan, come try one.
00:47:30Yes.
00:47:30Yes.
00:47:32Mm.
00:47:36So good.
00:47:37And by the way, exactly how I remember them.
00:47:40You don't remember them.
00:47:41I do so.
00:47:42Oh, really?
00:47:43What are they called?
00:47:44You don't think I know?
00:47:46No.
00:47:48Friendship cookies.
00:47:51Okay, I'm impressed.
00:47:53Yeah.
00:47:53I love these.
00:47:54You kidding me?
00:47:55So good.
00:47:56Uh, mom.
00:47:57Just one second.
00:47:58Mm.
00:47:58Mm.
00:47:59All right.
00:48:01Put me to work.
00:48:02What can I do?
00:48:03You could roll up some more dough?
00:48:05Yeah, I can.
00:48:07Absolutely.
00:48:08Bring in the muscle to roll out the dough.
00:48:09I see how it is over here.
00:48:11Can I eat the dough?
00:48:12Mom says it gives you warmth.
00:48:16I will not be eating the dough.
00:48:18Okay, good news.
00:48:21Just got off the phone with mom.
00:48:22She has some old paintings to donate to Winter Wonderland.
00:48:25Great.
00:48:25Yeah, you apparently didn't answer her test.
00:48:28I did forget that, didn't I?
00:48:29Anyways, she wants someone to swing by the gallery tonight to pick them up.
00:48:32Okay, I'll fire up the truck.
00:48:34Unless you want to go.
00:48:35Oh, well, we still have all these cookies to decorate.
00:48:37I can handle the cookies.
00:48:39You take a break.
00:48:40You know, I could go with you.
00:48:42I'd love to see your gallery anyway.
00:48:44You know, we can make it a fun girls' night out.
00:48:47You know, that does sound kind of nice.
00:48:51Okay.
00:48:51I mean, I'd be crazy to turn down free babysitting.
00:48:54You're welcome.
00:48:54Okay, let's go before you change the slime.
00:48:59Let's go.
00:49:00Hi.
00:49:01That did not take long, that decision.
00:49:03All right, you and me, you ready?
00:49:04All right, what shape?
00:49:06Cane canes.
00:49:06Cane canes.
00:49:08Oh, this is great, Esther.
00:49:09I can't believe you painted all of these.
00:49:11Well, that was a couple of decades' worth.
00:49:13Yeah, but I've been meaning to clear out more space in the gallery for a while now.
00:49:17The gallery only features works from local artists.
00:49:19Mom loves to give them home.
00:49:20I think that is great.
00:49:22Are any of these your favorite?
00:49:24Oh, well...
00:49:25This one.
00:49:34Oh, that's beautiful.
00:49:38I finished it about a week before you arrived.
00:49:41Where I painted, it isn't far from your farm.
00:49:44Really?
00:49:45Yeah.
00:49:45Well, I suppose I should start arranging things in the booth.
00:49:49Would you girls bring the rest of them in?
00:49:50Right behind you, Mom.
00:49:53And I'll bet she thought this town had no culture.
00:49:55And this is nice.
00:50:03Yeah, it is.
00:50:03You know, I can't remember the last time I went out with a friend.
00:50:06Ugh.
00:50:07Me neither.
00:50:08Really?
00:50:08Yes.
00:50:10You know, I guess it's my fault, though.
00:50:12I haven't really made time for friends.
00:50:14Well, thank you for making the time for me.
00:50:17This has been so nice.
00:50:18No, it's my pleasure.
00:50:19Although, you should really be thinking Dylan because he's watching Gracie.
00:50:22Yeah, yeah, he's okay, I guess.
00:50:24For an annoying older brother.
00:50:28He seems like he's really good with kids, though.
00:50:31Yeah, yeah, he is.
00:50:34Nice.
00:50:36Have you ever thought about having kids at all?
00:50:39Uh, I mean, yeah.
00:50:42Yeah, I've definitely thought about it.
00:50:45And I am approaching the age at which gets a little bit more pressing.
00:50:49Right.
00:50:49Yeah.
00:50:50And then there's moments like today, you know, when I'm baking cookies with Gracie.
00:50:55And I remember all those moments with Randall.
00:50:58And I think, yeah, that's exactly what I want.
00:51:00I see it so clearly.
00:51:01And what does Charles want?
00:51:07No.
00:51:07No.
00:51:08I think he doesn't want to talk about it.
00:51:11You know, he always changes the subject and turns it back to our careers and how much it costs.
00:51:17And I don't know.
00:51:19Maybe it's a moot point.
00:51:20It shouldn't be.
00:51:21I mean, if it's something you want, it should at least be an option, right?
00:51:26Janie, you deserve to have the life you want, wherever that is.
00:51:34It should be.
00:52:05Good morning.
00:52:07You're just going to stand there?
00:52:09You're going to have some breakfast.
00:52:10I'm sorry, I just need a moment to process the fact that you actually got up before me
00:52:13and make sure I wasn't dreaming.
00:52:15Uh, this is what you dream about?
00:52:18Oh, I have to tell you, I had the best sleep that I've ever had, like, in my entire life.
00:52:24Because you were been working so hard, it finally caught up to you.
00:52:27Well, I don't know.
00:52:28I think it's more than that.
00:52:29I think it's when you spend your day doing something meaningful, you just...
00:52:33You sleep better.
00:52:36You know, for instance, I would never be able to do this in New York.
00:52:39It's just go, go, go.
00:52:40In fact, I don't even eat breakfast.
00:52:43I don't know.
00:52:43And somehow this just seems...
00:52:47natural for me.
00:52:52Hey, any interest in checking the moisture levels of the grain silos with me?
00:52:57Uh, well, now that does sound like fun.
00:53:01Uh, but I have, I have a better idea.
00:53:07Why don't you have breakfast with me?
00:53:12Consider it like the calm before the storm.
00:53:17Hmm.
00:53:18Green silos can probably wait.
00:53:19I honestly don't think the first day of Winter Wonderland has ever had such an incredible turnout.
00:53:48Yeah, it's, it is, it's incredible.
00:53:50Well, I mean, Winter Wonderland is incredible.
00:53:52We just had to spread the word a little more effectively.
00:53:56Hmm.
00:53:57Oh, speaking of spreading the word, I think Marjorie needs a little help.
00:54:02Hmm.
00:54:03I'll be right back.
00:54:03Yeah, you go work your magic.
00:54:05Morning, Marjorie.
00:54:06How are you doing?
00:54:07Hi, Janie.
00:54:07I'm, I'm doing good.
00:54:10Having a bit of a strong start.
00:54:12Must be too early in the day for honey.
00:54:14Oh, no, it's never too early in the day for honey.
00:54:17Hmm.
00:54:18It'll pick up soon.
00:54:20Yeah.
00:54:26Do you mind if I expedite things a little bit?
00:54:29Oh, no, I suppose not, but please don't go to any trouble on my account.
00:54:34Oh, no, it's no trouble.
00:54:37Hey.
00:54:38Hey.
00:54:38Do you have any, uh, um, crackers, uh, something like a bagette or something you just cut up for me really fast?
00:54:44Yeah, I could put some in the other.
00:54:45Okay, great.
00:54:46Sure.
00:54:48Oh, Marjorie.
00:54:50Mm-hmm.
00:54:50Okay.
00:54:52Can you put some honey on this cracker for me?
00:54:54Okay.
00:54:55Load it up.
00:54:56Wah!
00:54:57Okay.
00:54:58There you go.
00:54:58There it is.
00:55:01Mm.
00:55:03Mm.
00:55:04Oh.
00:55:05Is that rosemary honey?
00:55:07Oh.
00:55:09Oh, yeah, but yes, it's one of our specialties.
00:55:11Oh.
00:55:12It's incredible.
00:55:14This rosemary honey is just, oh.
00:55:16How are you doing?
00:55:17You should try this.
00:55:18Get in there.
00:55:19Oh, yes.
00:55:21Try them all, Doc.
00:55:23Oh.
00:55:25Oh, wow, you're not kidding.
00:55:27And this is rosemary.
00:55:28Yes, and that's apple blossom, clover, and lilac.
00:55:34You guys should try this.
00:55:36Okay, uh, that was really, really impressive.
00:55:42I mean, I didn't do anything.
00:55:44Her, she has a really great product.
00:55:46Basically sells itself.
00:55:47I guess it's easy to market something when you love it.
00:55:52Don't sell yourself short.
00:55:54Look at her.
00:55:55She's so happy.
00:55:56She's busy now.
00:55:58And by the way, she deserved it.
00:56:01You can let yourself feel good about that.
00:56:03All in all, I'd say that was a pretty good first day.
00:56:21Pretty good first day.
00:56:23That was the best first day of winter wonderland I've ever been to.
00:56:25Well, tomorrow, it's gonna be even better.
00:56:30You get amazing.
00:56:33No, I'm not, it's not just me.
00:56:35I mean, this was a group effort.
00:56:37The town, you guys, especially you.
00:56:41Well, I don't know about you guys, but I need to get home.
00:56:47Yeah, me too.
00:56:48Uh, so I'll see you guys tomorrow?
00:56:51Absolutely.
00:56:51Okay.
00:56:52Great job today.
00:56:53Good night.
00:56:53Good night.
00:56:54So, seems like you had a pretty good day today.
00:57:05Oh, yeah?
00:57:08And what is that supposed to mean?
00:57:11Nothing.
00:57:12Nothing.
00:57:13Nope.
00:57:14Just, well, you and Janie were basically joined at the hip, and not just today.
00:57:18Been like that for a week now.
00:57:20I am just doing my job.
00:57:21Tough to avoid, living on the farm.
00:57:24Oh, that's not what I mean, and you know it.
00:57:27What's going on between you two?
00:57:28Nothing.
00:57:30Oh, Dylan, come on.
00:57:32You're my brother.
00:57:33I know when you like someone.
00:57:35And Janie?
00:57:36I mean, there's never been a Janie before.
00:57:44No.
00:57:45There really hasn't.
00:57:50What, in two days?
00:57:52It's going to be Christmas Eve, and the festival will be over, and Janie will be on her way back to Manhattan, so.
00:58:00And you're fine with that?
00:58:02What am I supposed to do about it?
00:58:04What am I supposed to get her to stay here and keep the farm?
00:58:07Okay, well, what's the alternative?
00:58:10You say nothing and then probably never see her again?
00:58:12Dylan, you have two more days with her.
00:58:19Do you really want them to be your last?
00:58:21I know it's a little kitschy.
00:58:50Charles.
00:58:50Charles.
00:58:51Charles.
00:58:51Sorry.
00:58:52The door was unlocked.
00:58:53I let myself in.
00:58:54What are you doing here?
00:58:57I know I should have called.
00:58:59But after our last talk, I decided I didn't want to wait so long to see you again.
00:59:04So I cut the trip short and booked a flight up here.
00:59:07Are you happy to see me?
00:59:11Yes, of course I'm happy to see you.
00:59:15I'm just...
00:59:16I'm surprised.
00:59:17Well, if you think that's a surprise, wait until you see this.
00:59:30What is this?
00:59:31That's an offer for the farm.
00:59:34What?
00:59:34You're not going to believe this.
00:59:37One of the guys I met in L.A. is a developer.
00:59:39He builds condo developments all over the country.
00:59:42I happened to show him your post about Winter Wonderland and the real estate listing, and he said he was interested.
00:59:48Is that the right number?
00:59:53Yeah.
00:59:54Way above asking.
00:59:56He's highly motivated.
00:59:57That's a cash offer, Janie.
01:00:00He's looking to move ASAP.
01:00:05Wow.
01:00:09Sorry, this is just a lot to take in.
01:00:13I know, right?
01:00:14Yeah.
01:00:14We should get this over to Randall's lawyer first thing in the morning.
01:00:18Have him have a look at it.
01:00:23Um...
01:00:24Do you think I could just have a little bit of time to think about it?
01:00:30Sure.
01:00:31Yeah, of course.
01:00:35But, I mean, this is what you came here for, right?
01:00:40Sell the farm, get Randall's things in order.
01:00:42Except for finishing the festival, which I am totally willing to save for it, by the way.
01:00:48Your work here is done.
01:00:55Okay.
01:00:58You're right.
01:01:00This is a lot to process.
01:01:03We've had a big day with the whole Wonderland game.
01:01:07Why don't you sleep on it?
01:01:14Yeah.
01:01:15I'm sure in the light of day, things will be clear.
01:01:19And then we can finally get back to our lives.
01:01:27Want a tea?
01:01:29Yeah.
01:01:37Oh, hey.
01:01:46You got a couple more boxes.
01:01:47They just arrived, okay?
01:01:50There you are.
01:01:52I've been trying to call you.
01:01:53Yeah, I was just, um...
01:01:55I was getting a little worried.
01:01:56I mean, missing out on some farm work is one thing, but when you were late coming here...
01:02:01Everything okay?
01:02:02Yeah, yeah.
01:02:03I just need to talk to you for a minute.
01:02:05Me too.
01:02:06Actually.
01:02:07So, uh, come with me.
01:02:13Okay.
01:02:16First, you have to open this.
01:02:18Okay, Dylan.
01:02:19I know it's a couple days early.
01:02:20I get that, but it's really going to help, um, illustrate what I have to say to you.
01:02:25But I really need to tell you that...
01:02:27There you are.
01:02:29Hi.
01:02:30Hot apple cider, as requested.
01:02:33Um, Charles, this is Dylan.
01:02:35Dylan, this is Charles.
01:02:37Dylan works on the farm, and he's really helped me put together Winter Wonderland.
01:02:41Oh, great.
01:02:42Nice to meet you, Dylan.
01:02:43You're well done with everything.
01:02:50It's just beautiful.
01:02:52Must be bittersweet, though, huh?
01:02:54One last hurrah.
01:02:56You know, bittersweet is actually a really good word for it, yeah.
01:03:03Uh, Charles, do you mind if I speak with Dylan in private really quick?
01:03:08We just need to discuss some farm things, and I'll be right back.
01:03:11Yeah, sure.
01:03:13I'll hang out of here.
01:03:14Sure.
01:03:21So, what do you think?
01:03:25Is this, um, is this happening?
01:03:29Well, I don't know.
01:03:32I just got the offer yesterday from Charles.
01:03:35Trust me, I didn't sleep all night thinking about it.
01:03:37This, this is, um, this is for condo development.
01:03:44Look, I know it's not ideal, you know, and that it puts you in a bit of an awkward position
01:03:50with your job and your cottage.
01:03:53Jeannie, I'm not thinking about me here.
01:03:55I'm thinking about you.
01:03:57Is this really what you want?
01:03:59Well, let's be realistic here.
01:04:04I mean, I think it was always a long shot that I was gonna run a farm.
01:04:09You know, I think even Randall knew that.
01:04:11But cashing out like this, do you really think this is, this is what Randall wanted?
01:04:14Hold on, cashing out?
01:04:16No, wait a minute.
01:04:17I didn't ask for this farm to be just dropped in my lap.
01:04:21It actually really complicated my life.
01:04:23I was perfectly happy in New York before any of this.
01:04:27Are you saying that you haven't been happy since you've been back?
01:04:30Are you saying that you haven't, you haven't felt anything?
01:04:35Here.
01:04:43It's not that simple.
01:04:44You know what, you're right.
01:04:50This is, this is, um, this is your decision.
01:04:53I got no right.
01:04:55I got no right to be like this.
01:04:57I really don't.
01:04:58Um, I know you're really anxious to get back to New York.
01:05:01I understand that.
01:05:02So, um, don't worry about the festival because I can finish that up myself.
01:05:08I can help you.
01:05:09No, I'm serious.
01:05:09Jeannie, I'm serious.
01:05:11Really, don't feel badly about this.
01:05:14You go.
01:05:16Then go home.
01:05:41Oh.
01:05:44Come and get your cookies.
01:05:47Do you want some cookies?
01:05:50Jeannie, look how many cookies we sold.
01:05:52Hi.
01:05:54Is everything okay?
01:05:56Yeah, I, I just have to leave.
01:05:58Oh, that's all right.
01:05:59The link can help us pack up later.
01:06:00But see you tomorrow, right?
01:06:01Where are you going?
01:06:06Oh.
01:06:07Where are you going?
01:06:11Well, um, I've just got to go home.
01:06:15But I live close from here.
01:06:17So I'll come back and see you, all right?
01:06:20Promise?
01:06:21Promise?
01:06:25Yeah.
01:06:25Yeah.
01:06:27Come here.
01:06:28Okay.
01:06:34Sell a ton of cookies, okay?
01:06:39You.
01:06:39I miss my friend, okay?
01:06:43So, you need to keep in touch.
01:06:48Don't worry.
01:06:49I won't let you get away again.
01:06:51Remember, I'm a deputy.
01:06:52I can find you.
01:06:53Okay.
01:06:54Come here.
01:06:54Come here.
01:07:00Call me when you get home, okay?
01:07:03Okay.
01:07:04Bye, Chrissy.
01:07:06Bye.
01:07:06Bye.
01:07:06All right.
01:07:31That ought to do it, Ms. Collins.
01:07:33You are no longer the owner of Collins Farms.
01:07:37You know, the deadline for getting this to the buyer isn't until January 1st.
01:07:43If you like, I could take my sweet time making a visit to the post office.
01:07:48No.
01:07:49Make the deal.
01:07:51All right.
01:07:52Well, then it was a pleasure doing business with you, Ms. Collins.
01:07:55Hope we see each other again soon.
01:07:57You do, Sidney.
01:07:58Take care.
01:08:00Bye-bye.
01:08:01Bye, Ev.
01:08:02I take it you don't want a cappuccino.
01:08:18No.
01:08:19Keeping you...
01:08:20I would like the peace and quiet I had at the farm.
01:08:27She's awful, please.
01:08:29How very zen of you.
01:08:31I just wanted to swing by on my way to work.
01:08:34Say hi.
01:08:35I brought you breakfast.
01:08:37Oh, I'm starving.
01:08:38It's a yogurt bowl with chia seeds and blueberries.
01:08:45Healthy.
01:08:47Hey, do you have any plans today?
01:08:49Yeah.
01:08:50Yeah, I'm going to stop by the office and see what I missed.
01:08:53You know, I was thinking of grabbing lunch at that Thai place around the corner.
01:09:00You want to meet back here, say, one.
01:09:03Oh.
01:09:03Yeah.
01:09:04All right.
01:09:06I'm off.
01:09:07I'll see you soon.
01:09:09Thanks for that.
01:09:10Hey, Frank.
01:09:11Thanks for turning the call.
01:09:28Whoa, whoa, there's...
01:09:29We're off in such a hurry.
01:09:32I'm sorry, Sidney, I lost track of time.
01:09:34I got to go open Winter Wonderland.
01:09:35I've just been, uh...
01:09:37I've just been a little distracted lately.
01:09:40I understand.
01:09:41A lot of change is coming your way soon.
01:09:43I was actually about to drop Jenny's paperwork in the mail.
01:09:47Well, I can tell you, it was not an easy decision for her to make.
01:09:49I know, I know.
01:09:50It's just the thought of her running the farm was a bit of a long shot anyway.
01:09:53I just...
01:09:54I really hope that she doesn't regret it.
01:09:57You know?
01:09:57Well, anyway...
01:10:01I gotta get going.
01:10:03See you soon.
01:10:04See you soon.
01:10:13This is a big one, Janie.
01:10:15Dinosaurs, a premium client.
01:10:17And this new line of drinks is hoping to expand into a completely untapped market.
01:10:22Kids?
01:10:26A whole new set of flavors aimed directly at kids.
01:10:30So, yes, juice boxes are going extinct, huh?
01:10:34That is why you are on this account.
01:10:36I am going to pitch that as a possible tagline to Bill.
01:10:42What's wrong?
01:10:43I thought you'd be over the moon about this.
01:10:46Yeah, no, no, no, I'm fine.
01:10:48I'm just, um...
01:10:50I'm just getting acclimated to being back.
01:10:52That's all.
01:10:53Of course.
01:10:54Go have a good Christmas Eve.
01:10:57The little dinos will be waiting for you.
01:11:00Yeah.
01:11:00Yeah.
01:11:00Janey, whatever you decide, I know Randall is proud of you.
01:11:31I hope this helps you remember the best winter wonderland
01:11:33Woodland Falls has ever seen.
01:11:37Merry Christmas still.
01:11:39Come on.
01:11:54Love me.
01:12:00Hey, sorry I'm late.
01:12:18You ready to go?
01:12:21What's all this?
01:12:23Um...
01:12:27It's a Christmas gift from Dylan.
01:12:31That bad, huh?
01:12:38No, actually, it's...
01:12:41It's perfect.
01:12:42Charles, would you come sit by me, please?
01:12:59You know what?
01:12:59I don't know if it's all right by you.
01:13:04I'm gonna stay here.
01:13:09Okay.
01:13:21Charles, I need to be honest with you.
01:13:23I gotta be honest with me.
01:13:28You know, three years ago, when I moved here to the city, I loved this place.
01:13:32I loved hanging out with you, working for Elle, the hustle and bustle of it all.
01:13:38It just, it fueled me.
01:13:39But I think it, it's that pace that didn't allow me to see that none of that is making me happy anymore.
01:13:51And it wasn't until I got back to Randall's farm, I understood that that, that's what makes me happy.
01:14:05And I respect you, I do.
01:14:07I respect your work ethic.
01:14:09And I don't want to change you.
01:14:10Because I know that someday, some woman is gonna come and she's gonna want to do all of the things that you want to do and be your partner.
01:14:21But that's not me.
01:14:29I'm moving back to Woodland Falls.
01:14:32Throw away your career, become a farmer?
01:14:39Maybe, I don't know.
01:14:43But I don't feel like I'm throwing away anything.
01:14:45I just, uh, I'm rebranding.
01:14:53You've been pulling away for a while now.
01:14:59I don't want to change you either, Janie.
01:15:08Go on.
01:15:09Get out of here.
01:15:11If you're lucky, you might be able to get the farm back.
01:15:13Thank you, Charles.
01:15:26You've reached the law offices of Sidney Reynolds, Esquire.
01:15:39Apologies for missing your call.
01:15:41But leave a detailed message and I'll return it as soon as I'm able.
01:15:45Hi, Sidney.
01:15:46It's Janie again.
01:15:48Please do not mail those papers.
01:15:50Repeat, do not mail those papers.
01:15:53Bye.
01:15:53Bye.
01:15:53What?
01:15:56Oh, are you serious?
01:15:58Time for this?
01:16:11Oh, where's the registration?
01:16:14Oh, where is it?
01:16:15Do you have any idea how fast you were going?
01:16:16Oh, Nicole.
01:16:18What are you doing back here?
01:16:19I know I never should have left.
01:16:21I don't know what I was thinking.
01:16:22It just took me going all the way back to New York City to finally figure out it doesn't
01:16:27feel like home anymore.
01:16:28Are you saying that Woodland Falls does feel like home?
01:16:31Yeah.
01:16:32Yeah, and look, I know I was speeding and I'm sorry, but I'm just trying to make it a winter
01:16:36wonderland before it closes because I, uh, I need to speak to Dylan.
01:16:40Well, I mean, I could let you off with a warning.
01:16:43And it'd be a real shame for you to come all this way just to get there too late.
01:16:47And I do have a responsibility to serve and protect my community.
01:16:51Okay.
01:16:51You and Neville please ask for it?
01:16:52Yes.
01:16:53That's what I thought.
01:16:54Let's go.
01:16:55Come on.
01:16:56Love you.
01:16:56Merry Christmas.
01:17:23Uncle Dylan, look, there's no more cookies.
01:17:25We're sold out.
01:17:28Hey, are you okay?
01:17:31I'm so sorry.
01:17:33Are you still thinking about Janie?
01:17:37No.
01:17:38No, of course not.
01:17:39I was just thinking about, um, all the, uh...
01:17:47Yeah.
01:17:51I was still thinking about Janie.
01:17:52It's okay, Uncle Dylan.
01:17:56It's okay.
01:17:59You're the best.
01:18:02Oh.
01:18:04There's the official end of another winter wonderland.
01:18:08Oh.
01:18:10You were amazing.
01:18:11Ladies and gentlemen, can I, uh...
01:18:27Can I have your attention, please?
01:18:30Y'all look so fantastic.
01:18:32You really do.
01:18:32I love seeing the smiles on your faces.
01:18:34Thank you so much for coming and supporting another winter wonderland.
01:18:43So many of us have had so many memories coming here, year after year.
01:18:48And we're going to hold on to those memories, really, in our hearts.
01:18:50Because, um...
01:18:52Because, unfortunately, this year...
01:18:57Dylan!
01:18:59Dylan.
01:19:00Hold on.
01:19:00Excuse me.
01:19:01I'm so sorry.
01:19:03Excuse me.
01:19:04Excuse me.
01:19:07Hi.
01:19:09Um...
01:19:10Can I borrow that?
01:19:12Hi.
01:19:13Hi.
01:19:14Yeah.
01:19:14Do you mind?
01:19:15Oh, and...
01:19:17Here.
01:19:18Just hold that.
01:19:19Don't open it.
01:19:20Okay.
01:19:24Hi, everybody.
01:19:26Um...
01:19:27For those of you who may not know me,
01:19:30my name is Danny Collins,
01:19:32and this farm was my great-uncle Randall's.
01:19:37And he loved winter wonderland.
01:19:40So I just wanted to take a moment
01:19:43just to say thank you
01:19:45to all of the residents of Woodland Falls
01:19:47and
01:19:48to all of you visitors
01:19:50because we can't do this without you.
01:19:52So
01:19:52thank you.
01:19:58And, you know,
01:19:59it might only happen just
01:20:01one time a year, but
01:20:03isn't it nice
01:20:06just to slow down
01:20:07and think about the things
01:20:09that are really important in life?
01:20:10And, uh,
01:20:16speaking about important,
01:20:19I have to say thank you
01:20:21to
01:20:22someone
01:20:24that
01:20:25kept my great-uncle's dream alive
01:20:28and
01:20:28who helped me every step of the way,
01:20:31who loves this town
01:20:33more than anything
01:20:34and
01:20:34just made me realize
01:20:37how wonderful it is.
01:20:41How wonderful you all are.
01:20:47Thank you, Dylan.
01:20:48From the bottom of my heart.
01:20:50All right, everyone.
01:20:58Well, I guess the only thing left to say is
01:21:00Merry Christmas
01:21:01and I will see you all here
01:21:04next year
01:21:05for Winter Wonderland.
01:21:06I'm a little confused.
01:21:18I know.
01:21:19I know you must be.
01:21:21Because you came back.
01:21:24Yeah.
01:21:25Yeah, because I went back to
01:21:27the city and
01:21:29I thought about a lot.
01:21:32And I just,
01:21:33I thought about what I wanted my life to mean
01:21:36and
01:21:36and then I just
01:21:37I realized that
01:21:39I've been living a lie.
01:21:42I mean, I don't do any of the things that
01:21:44truly make
01:21:45me feel good, you know?
01:21:46That make me happy.
01:21:49It's not until I came here to this farm
01:21:51and you know what?
01:21:52You
01:21:52you were the one who
01:21:55who helped me see
01:21:57that my life has all of this
01:21:59untapped potential.
01:22:01And
01:22:01and I finally realized
01:22:05what I want in my life
01:22:07and not only that
01:22:09but who I want in my life.
01:22:13And I want to be on this farm
01:22:15I don't want to be here with you
01:22:20because you make me happy.
01:22:23Well, um
01:22:32there isn't anything
01:22:35that would make me happier than that.
01:22:39But I can't let you walk away
01:22:41from everything that you've worked so hard.
01:22:44Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
01:22:44Don't worry about that.
01:22:45I've thought about that.
01:22:46Just
01:22:46hear me out.
01:22:48So
01:22:49I've always wanted to work for myself
01:22:51and you know I want to have clients
01:22:53that I'm proud of.
01:22:55So
01:22:56I mean, I'm sure there are
01:22:58tons of people in Woodland Falls
01:23:00that could use my help
01:23:01but I think the most important thing is that
01:23:03I'm finally
01:23:06doing this on my terms.
01:23:09But
01:23:10but what about the farm?
01:23:13Well
01:23:13I just happen to have the best lawyer ever.
01:23:17Sidney didn't turn in the papers
01:23:18because someone
01:23:20tipped him off
01:23:22that I might regret it one day.
01:23:23so
01:23:24but I think the most important thing is
01:23:28is that
01:23:29I'm going to be
01:23:30really busy
01:23:31starting this
01:23:32new venture of mine
01:23:33so I'm going to need someone
