00:00your top five players going into next year?
00:05Well, I mean, look, you have to give the nod to Asia coming off what she just did.
00:09Nafisa Collier was battling with her for the MVP all year long.
00:13I just mentioned Jackie Young, one of the better two-way players in the league.
00:17Kelsey Mitchell, I think, raised her stock.
00:20She was already a bucket getter.
00:22But what she was able to do with the fever being so injury-riddled,
00:26and particularly against Vegas, right?
00:27Like, you know, going head-to-head with Vegas, this superstar-laden team,
00:31and getting the fever right to the brink until the wheels fell off.
00:35And then there's Kaitlin Clark, who, you know, she hasn't played in a while,
00:38so it's like people forget.
00:39And because she gets talked about in this way that's different than everybody else,
00:44it allows for the narrative to be hijacked at times.
00:48But this is still somebody who, as a rookie, generated more points than any player
00:52in a single season in the history of the league,
00:55who only stands to get better as her career goes on.
00:59So, you know, I would expect Kaitlin Clark, if healthy,
01:02to be fighting for that top spot immediately on returning to the floor.
01:07And for me, three to five, I think there's just no doubt, right?
01:11Obviously, Asia and Nafisa Collier, and then Kaitlin Clark is in my top five out of his five.
01:16For me, I'm going to give a little bit of a pass to Brianna Stewart.
01:19Just knowing people I know around Brianna, she's obviously, she was banged up.
01:25And I do think Sandy Brundello kind of lost her way a little bit with that team,
01:29especially the fact that she just shot the ball so poorly from three.
01:33Both her and Sabrina Neska will be interesting to see, number one,
01:36who did Liberty bring back?
01:38But two, who is going to be the head coach?
01:40And if they do bring back John Quell with Sabrina and Stewie,
01:44how do you play them?
01:45Because I think Stewie's more effective inside, but they play her too much outside.
01:50And then for me, Paige Beckers.
01:51I look at her and her fundamentals and how she plays
01:54and just what she brought to the table.
01:57Now, Kirk O'Klanis, some people call him Kirk O'Klanis, whatever.
02:01He's gone.
02:02But when you look at Paige, her fundamental game,
02:05her usage rate wasn't as high as Kaitlin as a rookie,
02:09but there are other things, metrics, you look at her shooting percentages,
02:12her splits, obviously that 44-point game she had,
02:16which she was unconscious for the floor.
02:18I don't think I've ever seen that from a rookie or a veteran.
02:22But I think that leads into another topic.
02:24We kind of went over, but we got to start with this next.
02:27Coming up after the commercial break, we got to get to the NBA.
02:30But Robin and I have to have a discussion
02:32because it's starting to come out all over the place.
02:35Kaitlin Clark, Paige Beckers.
02:38You got to have one.
02:39You can't have both, but you're definitely not ticking either.

I think for the WNBA fan appeal is a factor. It's a growing league so filling seats is also important.
