00:00It's the third and final day of the Lima 2025 Grand Prix in Peru,

00:05and the heavyweights were to deliver a spectacular finale to an unforgettable event.

00:10In the under 90kg, Rafael Macedo of Brazil met Murad Fatyev of Azerbaijan.

00:16In a tightly contested battle, Macedo found the armlock he needed to secure his victory and gold medal.

00:24I want to have a lot more events here, because it's very good for us.

00:31We have a lot of Brazilian and Pan-American friends, and my family, it's my life.

00:36I have a child 20 days ago, and this medal is for him, my little boy, and my wife.

00:43His medal was awarded by IJF Ambassador and IJF Medical Commission Chair, Dr. Antonio Castro.

00:49Already a Grand Prix silver and bronze medalist, Metka Lobnik of Spain,

00:53Metka Lobnik of Slovenia had her sights set firmly on gold in the under 78kg category.

00:59She completed her collection in style with some superb groundwork, pinning her opponent for Ippon.

01:07I usually don't get to compete with my team, because there are only a few Westerns in Slovenia,

01:12but now I have quite a few supporters.

01:14Because of the Junior Worlds, they decided they would stay in cheer for me,

01:19so I'm very happy to have my friends from the club here.

01:22She was awarded her medal by IJF Sport Commission member and three-time world champion, Miss Yuri Alviar.

01:32Leonardo Goncalves faced teammate Giovanni Ferreira in the all-Brazilian showdown at minus 100kg.

01:38With mutual respect, but fierce determination, it was Ferreira who would take home the gold.

01:44The medals were awarded by IJF Vice President, Mr. Carlos Segarra.

01:54A plus 78kg final is familiar territory for Raz Hershko.

01:58With an early Yuko score, Hershko held on throughout the contest to claim her gold medal.

02:03Israel ambassador in Peru, His Excellency Mr. Eiran Yuvan was on hand to award the medals.

02:13In the plus 100kg final, Brazil's Rafael Buzakarini took on two-time Olympic champion, Lucas Kapalek of Czechia.

02:21With the fight into golden score, Kapalek demonstrated why he is so dominant on the ground, with a trademark transition into a hold down.

02:31Kapalek adding yet another gold to his impressive collection.

02:36He was awarded his medal by Peruvian Olympic Committee Vice President, Mr. Manuel del Castillo.

02:43The third and final day of the Peru Grand Prix wrapped up an incredible first ever Grand Prix event for the country.

02:50The heavyweights put on an incredible performance that brought the competition to a spectacular close.
