Brené Brown says embracing our humanity will save us from AI

Author Brené Brown reminded the Fortune MPW Summit that there are "so many skills that are not replicable" as more companies embrace AI.

00:05about AI. You know, what makes us human, our deeply human skills will keep us relevant.

00:11We're at being deeply human right now. We can't stand each other. Everything that, you know,

00:17there are so many skills that are not replicable. I mean, and I'm a tech optimist, but there are so

00:23many skills that are so inherently human. Pursuit of mastery, sense of purpose and meaning,

00:32the skill sets that we're talking about, emotional granularity, trust building, connection, but we're

00:38not good at them, and we're not good at them for a very serious reason. Welchian management taught us

00:45that everything that made us... Welchian being Jack Welch?

00:47I mean, Jack Welch. That whole approach to leadership basically taught us what makes us human

00:54makes us a liability to performance. And that's not true right now.
