00:00I cannot believe my face looked like this three years ago.

00:04My name's Jordan and I got attacked by a dog three years ago and he bit my nose completely off.

00:10Currently, I have these tissue expanders in to close this scar.

00:14The scar was left there from the forehead flap,

00:18which is a procedure that they do in nasal reconstruction to replace the skin on the nose.

00:24Not only has Jord had two babies in the last three years,

00:27she's also dealt with numerous surgeries.

00:29First, I had a tissue expander so that they wouldn't have to shave my head

00:33and use my scalp for all of this.

00:36But the tissue expander kind of looked like a softball on my head.

00:41I had it for two months.

00:42So for the cartilage, they took cartilage from my rib.

00:45There's an open wound here and part of that will go back

00:48and then my skin will kind of just regenerate itself there.

00:52But what went so wrong with the dog that this awful accident occurred?

00:55So we flew into Orlando, spent a few days here.

00:59I'm introduced to the dog.

01:01The dog is my boyfriend's brother's girlfriend's dog.

01:04We're with the dog all week.

01:05We were never alone with the dog by any means.

01:08He let me pet him.

01:09Like he seemed very friendly towards me.

01:11He didn't seem like he was like, oh, this like strange person.

01:16She had no reason to believe what was about to happen could ever occur.

01:19So we go into the house.

01:20Everything is fine.

01:22For some reason, I'm not sure why,

01:24we all decided to sit on the floor and pet the dogs.

01:28Honestly, like we were all pretty tipsy.

01:31And I think we really just let our guards down.

01:33So I remember him coming at my face and latching on to my nose

01:39and like not letting go.

01:42Like he grabbed.

01:44And it's not like he like went like bite, bite.

01:46He just grabbed once and then just like held on to me.

01:50And like, I like couldn't move.

01:52When he finally let go, I just grabbed my face like this

01:57and just saw me run down everywhere.

02:00I felt absolutely zero pain.

02:02I was just kind of like, okay, we need to go to the hospital now.

02:07Like, let's go.

02:09Years after the event, Jord has mixed feelings towards what happened.

02:12No, the dog did not get put down.

02:13Yes, the dog is still alive.

02:15I definitely have mixed feelings about the dog being alive.

02:18Not in a way that like, like I don't necessarily think,

02:21oh, a dog bites a person one time.

02:23They should be put down.

02:23I do feel like because it wasn't the first time

02:26that the dog had really bitten someone.

02:28I mean, to this extreme, yes.

02:31But then also it wasn't an aggressive attack either.

02:34Like he just lunged at my nose and that was that.

02:37Like it wasn't like a continuous attack.

02:39And because he's such a big dog, I'm like, you know,

02:41was he just being playful?

02:43Either way, brother-in-law and I have a good relationship.

02:47He's great.

02:49His girlfriend who owns the dog and still has the dog,

02:55I don't really speak to very much.

02:57She kind of just avoided talking about it at all.
