02:00Let's get started.
02:30Hello and welcome to Nerdy Gaming with Rabid Beaver.
02:33I am your host, the elusive Rabid Beaver.
02:36I hope each and every one of you are having a wonderful day out there in the world of gaming or wherever you guys are going to be following this content at.
02:43Whether you're on YouTube, whether you're on Twitch, whether you're on Rumble, whether you guys are on LinkedIn or you're following me on Mix and Mixer or you're following me out there in the world of Camel Toa Adventures on the tickety-tockety.
02:54Appreciate you guys for coming in here and being a part today.
02:57We're going to be talking about some controllers that were originally for the original Xbox, the Xbox 360 that are getting a remake under different brands and different names.
03:08And they're coming out also the Xbox one as well that are getting some remakes under those brands.
03:12And my personal experience with those, some of my personal experiences with others and what I think and what I've seen is to be the coolest.
03:20And we're going to start talking about the original Xbox.
03:24The original Xbox had two controllers.
03:25It had the Dutch and it had the Duke.
03:28And the Duke was the big fat one.
03:31And it has recently got a remake from a brand called Hyperkin within the past year.
03:37And it looks really awesome.
03:39Let me bring you on over to the site here for Hyperkin.
03:42Now, you can probably find these cheaper on Amazon or you can find them somewhere else.
03:46But this is the 20-year anniversary edition in white with the Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and X-Duel.
03:52And they are compatible with Windows 10, Xbox Series X, and S, and Xbox One directly.
03:59But they have it in black as well.
04:02And then they've also got the translucent in purple.
04:06And I think that's pretty cool that they have done all three of these together in this one controller.
04:11Now, I currently don't have a Duke.
04:13I have one for the original Xbox.
04:16And I remember on top it had the two memory card slots that you could put inside of it.
04:20And this one doesn't have it.
04:21It just has the charger port.
04:22All these are wired controllers that plug directly into the USB port.
04:26And I think that that's pretty neat for them to go ahead and make a remake of the original Duke.
04:31And then secondly, on the list from the same company, Hyperkin, they have the Dutchess is what they've got.
04:39And it's a wired Xbox controller as well, series after the second generation of the original Xbox controller that came out.
04:47And I've got to say, I absolutely love this.
04:51Matter of fact, I picked up one on Amazon just a couple days ago.
04:57And it comes in the white and black on these.
05:00And I haven't opened it yet.
05:01It actually just came in.
05:03So I'm going to be giving this a go in the next few days to see if I really enjoy this one or not.
05:08I mean, this box is heavy, it's thick, it's very well packaged, I can tell you that.
05:13But the biggest thing was this has the Hall Effect sticks with the precision impulse triggers.
05:19I'm waiting to see how it's going to perform live in live gameplay and how I'm going to be able to use it.
05:25But I am going to be able to use it.
05:26So I'm going to be definitely checking this out in the day to come.
05:30Hyperkin, thank you so much.
05:31Appreciate you, Amazon, for everything you do for us here on the channel.
05:36So that's going to be one.
05:38And this comes in the original colors, as you've seen.
05:42The original ones that I've got up here is white and black.
05:46They said that this was $49, but I think Amazon was running a special with the Prime Days a couple days ago.
05:51And I think I got this for $28 and some change plus shipping.
05:54So I had a coupon too.
05:56I need to say that as well.
05:57So I've not only got the original discounted price, but I had a coupon that I used under my Amazon points.
06:03I got about $14.
06:05$14.
06:05And I split it between three items.
06:08So I'm really interested to see how this one performs.
06:12I love the original Xbox Jewel in the middle here, as you guys can see right there.
06:17That original Xbox Jewel just takes me back to the original gaming days of the original Xbox.
06:22And I still have an original Xbox, and I love to play my games on it.
06:26So this will definitely be fun.
06:28I also love that they've added the two extra buttons on the side for original Xbox games.
06:32It just brings all the nostalgia back to the way it was at one point in time in gaming.
06:37So Hyperlink also has a Xeon wire controller, and I'm not going off Hyperkin's site.
06:44I'm going off Microsoft's site here, the Xbox.com.
06:47But they've just recently added the Cosmic Night and Twilight Galaxy both for them.
06:52And they're the size and shape of the original Xenon Xbox 360 controllers, which came out with the additional functions.
07:00Now, these are wired controllers as well.
07:02And you have them in both the colors, the black, the glitter, and as you see, the starry night there, that purple with white.
07:09And, man, they look so beautiful.
07:10They look great.
07:11I'm really giving a lot of love to Hyperkin today because I really believe that their products are going to be very well moving forward, especially with Xbox wanting to license them.
07:21Now, I understand Xbox is in a world of hurt.
07:23They're trying to make some money, especially after the whole debacle with Games Pass and everything that's gone on with that.
07:28But they are definitely doing a great service in third-party support instead of just having, like, MadCats.
07:35If y'all remember MadCats, oh, my God, MadCats was terrible.
07:39And then, finally, PDP.
07:42Now, I own several Afterglow controllers and Afterglow wireless controllers.
07:47I have mixed emotions.
07:48I love their warranty.
07:50Their warranty is great, but they are very cheaply built.
07:53And I have to say, they stand by their warranty.
07:56They stand by everything.
07:57So whatever you pay, you can get replacements for.
07:59I actually have several of these that has been in my – I've got this one that's in orange and black.
08:07I've also got it in neon.
08:08I've got it in the neon and black.
08:11I bought it when it was $79, brand new.
08:15Then I also have one of these in red.
08:18I've got that bad boy there.
08:20I'm very familiar with PDP.
08:22I like PDP.
08:23I think that they've kind of sold their brand out, though.
08:26Right after the Xbox Series – well, right when the Xbox Series S&X came out and they sold over to Turtle Beach.
08:33I think the innovation wasn't taken there.
08:35I think Turtle Beach really took the product and kind of downgraded it.
08:38Now, I'm not trying to piss all over PDP because I am a firm believer in PDP.
08:45I've been with them for many, many years.
08:47PlayStation 2 moving forward.
08:49I remember when they first came out with that PlayStation 2 controller and I bought it.
08:52Then I was with PlayStation 3.
08:54I bought Afterglow controllers.
08:55I bought the wireless controllers.
08:57I bought the wired controllers.
08:58I even bought the wireless Xbox One controller that they had, which you can no longer find nowhere if you're trying to replace them and replace parts for them.
09:07It's freaking ridiculous.
09:10But, yeah, I was able to purchase that stuff.
09:12So, PDP Afterglow, the Ignite, I think that their product has gone down and they've gone up on some of the prices for some of it.
09:19But they're trying to push you into the Turtle Beach side, like the Victory X side, the BG Pro here, Pro BFG controller, and then the Stealth Ultra controller, which was original Turtle Beach controller, Stealth Pivot controller, which is the original Turtle Beach controller.
09:31So, they're trying to get you to purchase the more expensive product with them because they do hold up a little bit better.
09:39And I will say that.
09:40But I think that the quality across the board should be the same.
09:44You know, I know that you've got three different levels of gamers.
09:47You've got those that are just beginning, getting into it, those that are normally under the age of nine moving forward.
09:52You've got those that are kind of into the gaming scene directly that are normally from the age of nine until the age of about 15 or 20.
10:00And then you have those hardcore gamers who have been gaming their entire lives.
10:04Most of them have started at, you know, before the age of nine, and they're now in their 20s and 30s.
10:10And they've been definitely trying to find stuff that will help them.
10:13And this is one of the ways, you know, like I said, I'm not trying to crap all over PDP.
10:17I just think that once they got bought out by Turtle Beach, the quality went down with them.
10:22Now, they do stand by their warranty if you have any problems.
10:24I've actually replaced this Neon wired controller twice.
10:27The first time was for the input jack, the 3.5 millimeter input jack for the headset.
10:33It went completely dead on it.
10:35And they refunded it, gave me a brand new refer.
10:39Well, they gave me a certificate in my email after I sent this controller to them.
10:44And then I was able to walk into GameStop to get that controller.
10:48And then so I've got this one here is the second version that I've got that's in orange currently.
10:53And this one has had the same issue.
10:56The 3.5 millimeter went out on it.
10:57And also the left stick started to drift really bad.
11:01The PDP app that they give you for Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X is a wonderful app.
11:08I've got to say that they do give you all the support that you need for your controllers from the apps directly to test your apps out and make sure that they're doing pretty good on their front.
11:17And that app did a very well job.
11:20Now, some of you are saying, well, you pay $27.99.
11:22Actually, I did.
11:23And I paid $79 when it first came out.
11:25When this controller first came out, it was $79.
11:28And they've discounted it down.
11:30So, I mean, it's just really, really is.
11:34It's really up to you, the player, what you're going to do and how you're going to stand by it.
11:38But these are all some great options for you moving forward into the world of gaming.
11:42If you're going to be out there in the world of gaming looking for controllers.
11:46And like I said, the Duke, I'm really happy with the Duke.
11:50And this is the 20-year Xbox Anniversary Edition.
11:53Love the original Xbox green and black.
11:56Love the white.
11:57I love the white and black directly over it.
11:59And I love the freaking print-on purple that they got there.
12:04That's beautiful, that neon purple that they've got there.
12:07And then in the Duchess, we've got the white one, which I've got right here with me, guys.
12:12Boom, right there.
12:13I've got the Duchess, and we're going to be giving that a shout-out here pretty soon to let you guys know.
12:17We've got the black one as well.
12:19And then Hyperkin also listed that 360 controller in Twilight Galaxy and Cosmic Knight Bose.
12:26And those are beautiful.
12:27That black Cosmic Knight and the Twilight Galaxy are beautiful controllers.
12:31Love to see in the days to come how this is going to be happening.
12:33So shout-out here on Nerdy Gaming with a Rabid Beaver to all of you that are following us out there in the world of gaming.
12:41We just did a little bit of Sleeping Dogs the other day, the Year of the Snake.
