00:02Oh
01:01Hello and welcome to WrestleTalk with the Rabid Beaver and joining me today is the peak of the mountain, the
01:07highest one you can climb, the man at the top that you are going to try to beat but you
01:12will never defeat. He is the only one. He is Austin Everest and he is a brand new, out of
01:18control, wrestling heavyweight champion. Austin, how does it feel to win that title and how are you doing today?
01:24It feels pretty good. Every day is good when you're Austin Everest and when you get the greatest of all
01:31time Bob Evans there to support you in winning this, life don't get better.
01:37Not at all. I mean, you are right on the top with it and like you said, big brutal Bob
01:42Evans was right there February 14th to witness you win that world heavyweight championship for out of control wrestling and
01:49the question is, now you got the target on your back, how are you going to defend it?
01:56I'm going to defend it. Like every time I get in the ring, I'll just turn them to a landslide
02:01of embarrassment. There's no one on my level. There's no one who can even climb to the peak of the
02:06mountain because they'll all just fall down trying.
02:10Hmm. Very interesting to say. Now we know that you had a very, very big mountain to climb. We know
02:21that you won other gold out of control wrestling that you had to prove yourself before you were even given
02:27this shot. Would you like to talk about it?
02:30Absolutely. I earned this. I know a lot of people want to say I cheated, but we're going to put
02:36that out of the way. We're just going to talk about facts.
02:39The fact is I earned this the same way I earned the open weight championship and defended it week after
02:46week until I got cheated.
02:48See, the only reason I have this is because Garth Mahoney got my business when I was making OCW relevant.
02:55Now he's in the past and the future is here and now. And if there's anyone who wants to step
03:00up, you can go ahead and step up because I'll step you down.
03:07Talking about being the pinnacle and at the top of professional wrestling. It's taken you a while to get there.
03:14And now you're here. Where do you see your ceiling going? How far can you climb?
03:23I can. Well, honestly, this is just the beginning. I mean, I was born to have gold around my waist.
03:32I mean, I could go to one of the big, biggest companies in the world and that will happen one
03:38day.
03:39I could go to the NWA. I'll work my butt off so much. I'll get there. No matter where I
03:47end up, I'm going to be number one there. There is no second place for Austin Everest.
03:54There is never going to be a second place for Austin Everest because Austin Everest is the mountaintop. He is
04:01the man that you have to defeat. He is the man you have to beat if you can do it.
04:06And the real question that I have for you, sir, is do you think there's a competitor out there that
04:13can give you a run for your money?
04:17I mean, absolutely. But they're not. They're not out of control wrestling.
04:23If they want to put someone against me, who's going to make me run and sweat out of stress, it's
04:31got to be.
04:33One of the top guys on the Indies, it's got not even the Indies.
04:38They'll get someone anywhere and they'll barely make me sweat.
04:45Like, I'm not worried about it. There's really no one.
04:49Well, barely making you sweat is definitely something interesting that you've said because we know that there's a lot of
04:56people who work inside this business and they do the best that they can for this business.
05:02But there's a lot of people who don't put in the hours. They don't put in the little things that
05:07make a difference inside this business.
05:09And I'm not trying to crap on anybody here, but I'm just going to be honest with you.
05:13Whenever you do the little things, you win bigger things, such as what's around your shoulder right there, that heavyweight
05:19championship from OCW out of control wrestling.
05:22And it proves that not only are you at the top of your game, but you're looking to stay at
05:27the top of your game and to elevate your game even higher than what it is now.
05:33Where do you see that elevation in the future?
05:37Do you see yourself the NWA heavyweight champion?
05:40Do you see yourself the WWE heavyweight champion?
05:42Where do you want to go and where do you see yourself in the future?
05:47Yes, that's going to happen.
05:48And it's going to be a multi-time.
05:51I'm going to be – I've said it before.
05:55I know John Cena just broke the record.
05:57I haven't said this publicly, but I will break that record.
06:01If I don't break it, something will take it.
06:04And I'll be remembered there.
06:06But before I'm there, NWA, when I make it, it's going to be my place.
06:12I'm going to bring it to my level and make it more relevant than it's ever been.
06:18Oh, absolutely.
06:20And Austin, we know that you're a JPWA kid.
06:23You went to Jacob Pritchard Wrestling Academy in Tennessee while you were here.
06:27And you work for a lot of promotions.
06:28You got your name out there.
06:30You were making your name to build what you've got now and to bring what you've got to the business
06:36now.
06:36Is there a specific thing that you can say that changed your future just from being at JPWA and learning
06:43under that learning tree?
06:46Yes.
06:48Confidence was the biggest thing because I had learned a little bit from people from JPWA.
06:55And I knew the basics.
07:00Going to Tom's made me realize the basics are more important than trying to be a big guy who can
07:10fly, which I don't fly.
07:12I've been studying Terry Gordy and Bruiser Bob, or not Bruiser Bob, Bruiser Brody.
07:20I like Bruiser Bob, though.
07:22I've been just studying old timers.
07:25And I've been just realizing the basics are really where it's at.
07:32But the last time that I hopped on the top rope and I jumped off, I was told that I
07:37looked like a fallen sack of potatoes.
07:39So we avoid that as much as possible here.
07:42That's the talk with the Rabbit Beaver.
07:43So I respect that you're going back and looking through older videos and looking through the archives to find out
07:49exactly what you need to do to be successful in this business from the best of the best.
07:53And do you think that that's one of the biggest keys to your success that you've got currently, is you're
07:59doing the work that nobody else wants to?
08:02Absolutely, yeah.
08:05The reason I got this is because I'm working my butt off.
08:08I mean, you know what?
08:11I don't care what people think.
08:12I'm going to say this because it's what I think.
08:14I'm the hardest worker at Out of Control Wrestling right now.
08:19And wherever I go, like when I get to WWE, when I get to NWA, I'm going to make that
08:26a fact that I'm the hardest worker in the room, on social media, in the gym, in the ring.
08:33I don't care.
08:34I'm going to work my butt off until I can't do it anymore.
08:39And you are one of the hardest working men behind the scenes.
08:42We notice that you post videos constantly.
08:45You're posting content constantly on all your social medias to make sure that everybody can get a little bit of
08:51a glimpse of the greatness that is Austin Everest.
08:54Not only the greatness that is Austin Everest, but you post anything and everything pertaining to those companies that you're
09:00working for.
09:01And you try to make sure that the posters are shown.
09:04You try to make sure that the people get the credit that they deserve.
09:06And it's just amazing to see everything that you do for this business, including a lot of the stuff that's
09:14like this, which happened February 14th at none other than Out of Control Wrestling, where you won that championship.
09:21Is that not correct?
09:22Absolutely.
09:23Yeah.
09:24Won it against Garth Mahoney and the greatest of all time, Bob Evans, which let's, I won't mislead y'all.
09:33Well, Bob Evans decided to hop in my corner and decided I was the future because he sees this business
09:41going in the right direction with me.
09:43And I talked to Bob today and I love Bob to death.
09:46He had a seminar.
09:47I was there and everything he said, he's a brilliant man and love Bob to death.
09:54Garth Mahoney, don't care for him.
09:56Honestly, what we need to do is we need to edit him out of this, put me and Bob together,
10:01and I'll sell these at my merch table.
10:04The man that defeated the Mr. Mahoney, Garth Mahoney.
10:08And not only did you defeat him in such a way, and some people like, like you said earlier, might
10:14say that you cheated your way to the top of the mountain to stay there.
10:17But the truth of it is, if you can't hang, you're not going to be there to begin with.
10:22And you just proved that there was people like Garth Mahoney that couldn't hang with you.
10:26And as you said earlier, brutal Bob Evans said that you're the future of the business, not only the future,
10:31but you're the future of out of control wrestling.
10:34And he showed everybody the truth of how you were going to be the future.
10:40Absolutely.
10:41Yeah.
10:41I mean, even, you know, I don't know if you've seen this, but Garth, Garth got a Toyota truck out
10:49of this when he first won this belt.
10:52I don't know if you follow him on Facebook.
10:54If you do, you just got to unfollow him because it's ruining your Facebook.
11:00But it's doing more than that.
11:02Yeah.
11:04They literally went and repossessed his truck.
11:06I'm waiting for the call right now.
11:08I mean, I like, I like a Toyota.
11:12I'm not saying I need it.
11:13I'm more of a Chevy guy, but I'll take a Toyota.
11:16I mean, that's a, that's a perk of being the heavyweight champion though.
11:20You know, if you're going to be successful in this business, you want to look successful.
11:24You want to act successful.
11:25You want to portray that your champions are successful.
11:28Why not repossess that truck and give it to somebody who is more deserving, more official and better looking, better
11:37charisma and a great performer inside the ring, such as the mountaintop Austin Everest out of control wrestling.
11:44Get this man, his truck immediately.
11:47Absolutely.
11:48Yeah.
11:48I deserve all the perks.
11:50I deserve my own locker room.
11:51I deserve my own catering.
11:54Let's be honest.
11:55I am like one of the top guys there.
11:58And if they don't want to lose me, they got to pony up.
12:02Pony and up is something that they just very well may do February 21st.
12:07It looks like you've got something that's going to be happening at out of control wrestling aftermath.
12:11Is that correct?
12:13Yes.
12:14Yes.
12:14Aftermath.
12:16I mean, I know they want to talk about the past, but when we get there, I'm talking about the
12:23future and there can be anyone.
12:26I'm throwing out the challenge now.
12:28Anyone can walk through them doors.
12:31Let's make something happen.
12:33Get rid of the past and get people talking.
12:36Come one, come all.
12:38Let's see what you got.
12:40That's Saturday, February 21st.
12:43The doors are going to be open to get 6 p.m.
12:44Just like it's shown on your screen.
12:46Bell time is going to be at 7 p.m.
12:48General admission is going to be $5.
12:49And that's going to be at Hoxie, Arkansas at 609 Southeast Gibson Street in Hoxie.
12:54Is that correct?
12:56Hoxie.
12:56Yes, sir.
12:57Hoxie, Arkansas.
12:59I apologize.
13:00I messed up your name there, Hoxie, but it's in Hoxie, Arkansas.
13:03And look, like you said, you're going to take on anybody and everybody that's going to be coming to you,
13:07anybody and everybody that's going to be out there.
13:09And you mentioned a lot of stuff earlier, and I want to get into it because, you know, you've got
13:14some big shoes to fill if you're going to be the champion of champions.
13:20If you're going to tie, not only tie, but break the record of people such as John Cena, such as
13:26Ric Flair, such as Triple H in WWE, if you see yourself being that successful, I think you can be
13:34that successful.
13:35And I believe the late, great Dusty Rhodes said it best to Diamond Dallas Page.
13:39He said, until you believe it, it's never going to happen.
13:43And until you see it and you see yourself in that position, you'll never be it.
13:46So I believe that you see it and that you can be it.
13:49How do you plan on accomplishing it?
13:54Hard work, like we were talking about earlier, just being the hardest worker there.
13:58Honestly, I was telling people the other day, I know there's people here that do it as a hobby, and
14:07they only do it one day of the week.
14:10It's very true.
14:12Yeah, Monday through Sunday, my mind is on wrestling first.
14:18And of course, other stuff, but first is wrestling.
14:24And I just think about how can I get better?
14:27Well, who do I have to study?
14:28And like the guys you mentioned, Flair, Dusty, Cena, Stone Cold, Hogan, The Rock, all of them.
14:35Why not study them and their strengths and make them my strengths and become the best in the world?
14:43CM Punk, even.
14:45I would be doing my job properly if I didn't ask this question.
14:49Please don't take any offense to it, but it seems like you studied a lot of the late, great Eddie
14:54Guerrero by the way that you like to win championships.
14:57Is that fair to say?
14:59I mean, you know, it's funny about that.
15:04I do.
15:06I like to watch an Eddie match.
15:08I like to study him as well.
15:10Well, I haven't watched enough of them as I should, but on a personal level, I love watching his stuff
15:23and it always connects with me for some reason, even though I cannot fly like that.
15:28But I can cheat like that, but I don't cheat.
15:32Of course.
15:37I'm 6'4", 275 pounds of just pure, unstoppable force.
15:45Like, there is no cheating with me.
15:48That's fair.
15:49That's fair enough to say.
15:50And if anybody out there is watching thinks that he cheats his way to victory, you know, you got to
15:56go back and watch all the footage.
15:57There's lots of things that happen to him during his matches that would be considered cheating, such as holding his
16:03tights, such as putting their feet on the ropes to get their extra leverage for the pin, different things like
16:09that.
16:09So I think all is fair in love and war if you consider both of those sections to it.
16:15But however, when you're facing the mountaintop, you have to be prepared for anything and everything because you don't ever
16:20know what's going to happen when you get to the summit.
16:22Because he in the summit can be a mean, mean, mean mistress.
16:27And I'm going to tip it to you right here, Austin.
16:29I think that you becoming the champion for out-of-control wrestling, you becoming the future of out-of-control
16:34wrestling, and you putting yourself out there for out-of-control wrestling, not only to do shows like this, but
16:40also the other podcasts that you've been on and the other places that you're going this summer, including the show
16:46that you've got scheduled for the 21st of March.
16:49It's New Breed Wrestling, is that correct?
16:53Yes, sir.
16:54Yeah, New Breed.
16:55The first time I've ever worked for him, I'm excited.
16:58You've got a lot of great people on this card.
17:00I'll give people their flowers that I like.
17:03Superstar Steve, that's his name, right?
17:05I'm horrible with names.
17:06Yep, Superstar Steve's there.
17:08Love him to death.
17:09And then, you know, Joe Helms cheated me, blah, blah, blah, whatever.
17:13But, I mean, Derek Teeter, I like Derek Teeter.
17:16You know, I've known Derek Teeter since I started wrestling, actually.
17:20I mean, we're not talking every day.
17:22But, like, I know him enough to say he's a good guy.
17:27I also know him enough to say, don't get in the way and we won't have problems.
17:33Absolutely.
17:33And as you mentioned earlier, it's a great card.
17:35You've got Harrison Cruz, Ethan Steele.
17:37You've got, of course, yourself, Austin Evers right there.
17:40You've got the Heenan's going to be there.
17:42FTG is going to be there.
17:43And so, anymore, you guys don't want to miss a moment of this action.
17:46It's going to be March 21st, 2026.
17:48The Eldon Community Center at 309 East 2nd Street in Eldon, Missouri.
17:53Doors will open at 5 p.m.
17:54The bell time is going to be at 6 p.m.
17:57There is different ticket options available for you.
18:00You have VIP tickets for $25.
18:02General admission tickets looks like they're going to be $13.
18:05And you can get there early and get your tickets early.
18:09And they are sponsored this time by Snap-On, Rent-A-Center, and O'Reilly Auto Parts.
18:14So, you guys are having a great time going to be out there.
18:17Now, when you walk into New Breed Wrestling, is there going to be a lot of jealousy on you for
18:23what you've done at Out-of-Control Wrestling?
18:25Because you're working with some of the guys from Out-of-Control coming over, too.
18:30I mean, who's not jealous when they look at me?
18:34I mean, I walk in the room.
18:36They just look at how good-looking I am, how blessed, how God's blessed me with good looks, athleticism, and
18:44just they get jealous automatically.
18:49I mean, who wouldn't want to be jealous of somebody who is at the top of their game, can prove
18:55that they're at the top of their game, move themselves to be the future of professional wrestling in every aspect
19:01of it, that's getting the big calls from big companies, is going to be traveling around and be working for
19:07some smaller companies just to show them that he's still got it and he can help them out in any
19:13way possible.
19:13I mean, it's a great place to be for you to work with all these smaller companies and to move
19:17into all these businesses and these territories like you're moving into, but Austin, you're wanting to go somewhere, you're wanting
19:24to be the man in all the big territories as well.
19:28How do you see yourself getting there?
19:33Honestly, the way you get there, I think, is you just, you work bigger names, you beat bigger names, and
19:39you learn from the best.
19:41Well, Bobby Slam came through and said that you must be related to Carson Drake, and speaking of Carson Drake,
19:49the most successful man in the National Wrestling Alliance, I think that that would be a stellar match for you
19:55in your future, not only to skyrocket you at the NWA's radar, but do you think that you have what
20:02it takes to beat Carson Bartholomew Drake?
20:06Absolutely. We've had a match already. This is a new me. This is Austin Everest. It's not that Apex Prime
20:17that used to be, that name that was given to me trying to hold me down.
20:21This is the real me. And Carson Drake, I can't wait to go one-on-one with you. I hope
20:27it does happen. And when it does, you're going to realize this is a new man.
20:33And you don't want any part of it.
20:38Strong words there, Mr. Everest. Strong words there, Mr. Everest. But I'm going to tell you right now, Carson is
20:43a fighter, and he does not back down from challenges easily.
20:45And I think we've got some people in the chat that can make that happen. So, uh, I hope to
20:51see you at one of the Wrestling for a Cause's soon for those that are watching from Wrestling for a
20:56Cause Chattanooga and those that are out there.
20:58I'd love to see the Austin Everest, the mountaintop himself be there. And I'd love to see Carson Drake in
21:04the same room as the mountaintop Austin Everest.
21:07And I'd love to see what would happen inside that ring once again. And as you said, there were people
21:13that were trying to hold you down that gave you another name whenever you first broke into the industry and
21:17when you got right out of school and you were running the Tennessee territory, you're running North Carolina territory, uh,
21:23and they tried to hold you down and they tried to hold you back.
21:26But look at you now, baby, you've got everything. And then some, what can we say about a good looking
21:33kid like yourself climbing the top of the mountain, be in the pinnacle of professional wrestling and making yourself the
21:40best there is.
21:42Do you think that you can be not only the best there is the best there was, but maybe for
21:47the future, the best there ever will be. I take it a little play off of Brett Hart there, but
21:53the truth of it is for somebody of your caliber, six foot three, six foot four, six foot four, six
22:02foot four, four, four, full of sex appeal, full of life, full of fighting.
22:10It's going to take a lot to knock you off your feet. It's going to take a lot to keep
22:13you down. And it's going to take a lot to keep you pinned to the ground. I don't think there's
22:19anybody that can do it, including a Carson Bartholomew Drake.
22:24Yeah. I mean, I like Carson. I got respect for him. He, I mean, he beat me, so there's nothing
22:33but love there. But when it comes in that, I mean, I could have love for anyway, the guys I
22:38graduated with, I couldn't put them over more from Tom's like Johnny Faith, Prince Gabriel. I love them to death.
22:46But if we're one on one, it's over. I am the man and I'm here to prove that.
22:54Yeah. And while I'm putting them over, I got, I messed up earlier. Ethan Steele, love him to death. Grandma's
23:02dynasty all the way. Tommy Too Good, Bullwhip Ballard, Money Mark. I mean, we're running it right now in the
23:08UWA.
23:10And you had a match with Bullwhip Ballard not too long back. And you did phenomenal. And it was outside.
23:15I can't remember the venue that it was at, but it was outside and it was beautiful that day that
23:19you took him on. And you held your own very well against him.
23:24He has a mean, mean clothesline, but there's respect there. I love Bullwhip. He's awesome. Yeah, it was a good
23:36match. That was an NWA JCP match.
23:38You could go watch that on YouTube and you should because I'm in it. But yeah, I love that match.
23:47So.
23:48Well, it sets you apart. It sets you apart not only for who you are now, but it puts you
23:53in a place in professional wrestling where other people started to look at you and say, we can use that
24:00kid. That kid's going to be something someday. He's going to be somebody someday. And here you are. Here you
24:06are just a few months down the road.
24:09The heavyweight champion of out of control wrestling. You gain multiple titles and you've been multiple places and you're working
24:18the best you can and you're doing the best you can with everything that's been given to you.
24:22And you know what? I don't think that this has happened just by chance. I don't think it's happened just
24:27because you put a little fairy dust out there.
24:30I think that God has rewarded you because you have put the work in. And there's a big lesson to
24:37be learned there for a lot of people,
24:38because there's a lot of people who don't know where to start or what to do or where to go
24:42or how to go. But you start somewhere. You start where you can get in and you fit in where
24:47you get in.
24:48And for you, it took that first step of going to school, getting your training, learning, learning from somebody credible
24:55that would help you in the future, such as JPWA from Dr. Tom.
25:00And not only did you train there, but you made friends for life. But like you said earlier, you get
25:06put across the ring from any one of them. That friendship is completely over.
25:11And you mentioned two people there. You mentioned Prince Gabriel, who's out in California currently. And you also mentioned Johnny
25:18Faith, who's been running North Carolina, Georgia, a little bit of Alabama and South Carolina.
25:23And he's been running some other places as well, but he's all over the place as well. And Johnny, I
25:29know for a fact, is looking for a fight anytime. Do you have words to say to him if that
25:36ever comes?
25:39I said, I said, I'm earlier, open challenge. I don't care who it is. Bring it on. Come through the
25:47doors. Ask for my name. Ask for a fight and you'll get it.
25:52Absolutely. And Prince Gabriel, he is actually, he's the last I knew. He was the heavyweight champion up there in
25:59California.
26:00He is. He currently is. He just won it just a few months back and he's been holding on to
26:05it and retaining it really well.
26:06Title versus title. You think that would be the match that you would want?
26:11Yeah. I mean, you were reading my mind. I mean, he's my brother, but at the same time, I might
26:18just be on a roll of collecting them.
26:20So, well, Austin, I mean, we have a lot to talk about that we can get to anytime that you
26:27want to, but we want to talk about how can the promoters book you?
26:31What's the best way they can do that?
26:34They can go to my Facebook page or they can just look up my email, which is on the Facebook
26:41page and all my socials, Instagram and TikTok.
26:45Book Austin Everest at gmail.com or just send me a text through Messenger.
26:50I mean, I look at it daily. I look at my email daily.
26:54I mean, I post every day, try to just keep the buzz going.
27:02But, I mean, who else are you going to get that's better than me?
27:08You want to make your show something worthwhile.
27:12That's a very good question. Very good question.
27:15And I don't think there's anybody better in the business right now than Austin Everest, the mountaintop himself.
27:21I believe that you have what it takes to lead this next generation into professional wrestling the way that they
27:28deserve to be led into professional wrestling.
27:30You have the qualities of a great champion on television.
27:34You have the qualities of a great champion behind closed doors.
27:37And I believe that you'll be able to lead a company such as the National Wrestling Alliance, such as TNA,
27:43such as AEW, and such as WWE in the future.
27:46And we wish you well on all your future endeavors, Austin.
27:49And we want to thank you for being here today.
27:51One last question before we let you go, though.
27:55You ready?
27:57Austin, if you had a dream match, who would you like to face?
28:03CM Punk.
28:04You'd love CM Punk. You want Punk.
28:06Or, you know what, CM Punk or one that would actually happen.
28:11Talking about title versus title.
28:13I mean, Silas Mason, who, you talk about NWA.
28:21He's the top of the top.
28:22He's the man.
28:24I'm the man at OCW.
28:27He's the man at NWA.
28:31I mean.
28:34Are you prepared to take a thrill ride?
28:37I mean, I'm prepared, but is he prepared to be a landslide of embarrassment if it goes the other way?
28:43Ooh, that's really good, sir.
28:46I mean.
28:48I think that would be a banger, to be honest with you, with you and Silas Mason.
28:52I think that you both have what it takes to perform at the top level.
28:55And Silas is about to go on his world tour party coming in March as well.
28:59March 21st, I believe he starts his world tour party with the National Wrestling Alliance,
29:03celebrating him winning that World Heavyweight Championship for the National Wrestling Alliance,
29:07and him being the champion.
29:09So, I think it would be very well to say that you have an opportunity that could be arising shortly
29:16that a lot of people don't know about, but it may happen in the future if you play your cards
29:22just right.
29:23Do you think that it will be a reality for you?
29:28I mean, never say never.
29:31Is that what they say?
29:32Yes, sir.
29:34All right, Austin, I'm going to give you last words.
29:36Who would you like to speak to, and what would you like to say to them?
29:40Let's talk to everybody.
29:41I mean, I have nothing else to say.
29:44I've said everything from my heart.
29:46I am the man right now.
29:48I work the hardest out of everyone in the room.
29:52There's no one in out-of-control wrestling who can touch me.
29:55There's no one in the world who can touch me.
29:58And when you're the best wrestler in the world,
30:00they're not going to call you the best wrestler in the world.
30:04They're going to call you Austin Everest.
30:10Excellent, sir.
30:11Well, Austin, would you love to come back anytime?
30:15I'll come back next week if you want me to.
30:18I'm booked next week, but I'll get you on the schedule.
30:21And we may have some openings for River City Media as well
30:24to get you kind of more into the Chattanooga area and get you down here.
30:27If you're interested, we would love to have you come on,
30:29and I'll message you privately and get a date set up for that.
30:31We can get you on.
30:33So thank you so much for your time today.
30:35If you'll stick around through the ending,
30:37we will talk a little bit more, and I'll get you settled in.
30:40Thank you guys so much for being here tonight.
