00:30I don't know what's been killed out of this.
00:32I don't know.
00:33Do you know how fast you're going?
00:34It's scary when stuff like this happens.
00:37In life and death situations...
00:39Get on the ground, you'll be chasing!
00:41We've got runners.
00:43Face down!
00:45Yes, yes, successful stick.

01:10Up the pavement.
01:12Criminals crossing county lines.
01:15Open the door now!
01:16Open the door!
01:17Open the door!
01:19Where's he gone?
01:20Where's he gone?
01:21Where's he gone?
01:22Drugs runners and thieves on the move.
01:25Keep coming, boys.
01:26Keep coming.
01:27Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
01:32And drivers with something to hide.
01:35Come on!
01:36Failing to stop!
01:37And just best guess, do we think he is going to head towards Pinkston or is he going to continue up the motorway if he does get on the motorway up to 29 and towards Clay Cross?
01:53PC Nick Lovett and the road crime team are hunting a group of suspects near the Nottinghamshire border.
02:10The plan for tonight on this very, very wet evening in Derbyshire, we're going to be deploying in relation to several targets that the OCG unit have identified to us as being involved in supplying controlled drugs.
02:29So, we're out three unmarked cars and we are proactively looking for the subject vehicles with the intention of getting them all detained and getting them searched.
02:40The weather tonight is miserable. It's causing flooding in certain areas. We just have to be very, very mindful when we are deploying tactics.
02:48The specialism of our unit is to identify, locate and then follow vehicles until there is such time that we can put a safe stop in on that vehicle.
02:59Once you know the vehicle is active, then it all becomes focused on what is that vehicle doing, where is that vehicle going.
03:05And we're planning, constantly looking for sightings of that vehicle. And once we're happy, that's when we need to take that vehicle out.
03:11We'll be a clout.
03:12I'm just currently at 28, so I'm going to go straight over towards the Mansfield direction, sit up at the services.
03:20Because if you pick it up at 27, we can all get to you at 28.
03:25One of the target vehicles is an Audi, last spotted a few miles up ahead, having crossed the border from Nottinghamshire.
03:32It was seen on the motorway, but it must have absolutely gunned it on the motorway and got to 28 before we did.
03:38So we're now just trying to find it.
03:42Parents address. That's where we're heading to now.
03:46I've got to the lights. Negative.
03:53I'll turn around to confirm, but I don't think the vehicle is at the address.
03:57Oh, there it is.
03:58Attention. Attention.
03:59With a sighting, Nick and two unmarked units begin tailing the suspect Audi.
04:18Hello, Costa Romeo.
04:21Yeah, go ahead.
04:24Can I make you aware of another vehicle we might be looking to stop?
04:26Yeah, it's a blue Ford Transit.
04:29When we initially started this vehicle, it's a big convoy with the vehicle we're talking about.
04:39In between the unmarked cars and the suspect is a van, which the team believes is linked to the Audi.
04:45The Audi has gone.
04:52Losing track of the Audi, the team tries to stay on the tail of the transit van.
04:59Come on.
05:00Let's just be careful with the standing water.
05:01Before we do anything, let it go onto a main road, not onto a country road.
05:06Thinking of getting the vehicle stops safely, we've just gone through lots of standing water, and that's what we don't want to be doing when we're putting the stop on.
05:19The vehicle is currently behind the members of the public, and there's no opportunities too close.
05:34Let's just keep it square about them.
05:46Yeah, just keep an update.
05:48Hi there, Oscar Romeo, Victor 2.
05:50I'm behind 3 and 4.
05:52Unmarked high-performance vehicle, pursuit management trained.
05:55Yeah, thank you, I would like to say, you know.
06:02Oh, bloody, it's radiant.
06:04Oh, no.
06:05There we go.
06:06There we go, it's failing to stop.
06:08Go on, go.
06:10Go on!
06:11Failing to stop, failing to stop.
06:16Speed eight-zero, D-R-A-Inmediate.
06:22Come on then, can't lead?
06:24The RA is currently high, it goes on to the wrong side of the road, it's up here but now back down to the low, it comes to the right side of the road.
06:33Come on take it nice and easy.
06:42We're now right, right, right to the right side of the road, the RA is medium, now back on to the right side of the road, the RA is low.
06:51The RA is medium, it goes on to the wrong side of the road, back on to the correct side of the road.
06:57Hello, it's our way, right, right as well, we've walked by members of the public.
07:05Yeah, it's a total loss, total loss, vehicle, we've walked by members of the public, and the vehicle's okay, fine, not sure of the rotate.
07:14Has it cleared off the main road?
07:17Yes, yes, there's a total loss at this side.
07:20Yeah, looking at Matthew, there's lots of different streets that can go on, it's a bit rabbit warranty, to be honest.
07:26I'm going to head back towards 28th.
07:29Anyone else?
07:31Oscar Juliet.
07:32Haters, haters.
07:33Richard, Oscar Juliet, 6-0.
07:35Oscar Juliet, 6-0.
07:37No, it's not.
07:39No, it's not.
07:40I think he's made off, hasn't he?
07:43He's made off.
07:44He's managed to do us, and he's made off, so, he's just trying to now find him again.
07:52The main issue was, when we were on the lanes, it had been too dangerous, because you can't see the standing water until you're there.
08:00And the last thing we want to be doing is putting a box on, and trying to do preemptive tactics when we're just about to enter masses of water.
08:09Nottingham's control received Oscar Romeo Victor 2, Derbyshire Road Crime.
08:16In relation to the job we've got running across our borders, for information, believed involved in the supply of controlled drugs, believed to be driving a Audi RS5, we believe it is.
08:31That was in convoy with a Ford Transit, which is the one on the log that's failed to stop for us.
08:37Nottinghamshire Police now informed, both forces will continue to track the two suspect vehicles.
08:44The information sharing between police forces is better now than it has been for a long time.
08:50We identify how that vehicle's travelling, what road network it's using via sightings.
08:55We've got ANPR in police vehicles.
08:58So all that will be analysed to find out what road network they're using.
09:01And once we know that, we can plot that area, we can go hunting for the vehicle.
09:05And once they're on our areas, they're then fair game to us.
09:09Mate, we're on a job this morning up in Glossop, right on the border with GMP for a drugs target.
09:19What are your guys' commitments this morning?
09:20Yes mate, yeah.
09:21Sergeant Luke Christian is leading the road crime team on a new deployment near the Manchester border.
09:26The car we're looking for today, it's a grey Audi A5 on a 14 plate, coming onto our area.
09:33Target is believed to be dealing with Class A drugs, transporting them in from the Manchester area into the High Peak.
09:40The area of Derbyshire, and he's been in prison before.
09:41And he's been imprisoned before, first supplier of Class A.
09:46The car we're looking for today, it's a grey Audi A5 on a 14 plate coming onto our area.
09:54Target is believed to be dealing Class A drugs, transporting them in from the Manchester area into the high peak area of Derbyshire.
10:04And he's been in prison before, first supply of Class A.
10:08So he'll be well aware of what our tactics are.
10:12So he's a County Alliance Nominal, he's bringing cocaine and heroin into the area and then he'll supply the lower level dealers.
10:20The drug trade's worth billions of pounds a year, almost every other type of crime.
10:26You could probably say eventually links back to drugs.
10:29Bully, if you go ahead and try and spot it coming towards at the minute, we'll just come up with a plan in the car now.
10:37You've got your thefts and your burglaries, violence, people enforcing drug debts, people forcing people to hold on to drugs for them.
10:46That's often where the exploitation cycle comes into it.
10:49So vulnerable children, 10, 11, 12 years old, and they're being forced to sell drugs.
10:54And all they see is a new pair of trainers bought for them.
10:57They might get a fancy iPhone.
10:58Their brains aren't developed enough to understand the severity and the high risk of harm that they're putting themselves at.
11:04All for some Mr. Big somewhere.
11:07Yet received.
11:08Have you got eyeball on it currently?
11:12So the vehicle coming closer towards us now.
11:14It's still on Manchester currently, but it's heading in our general direction.
11:20So it's looking promising at the minute.
11:22Having tracked the car's journeys, the team plots its entry point into Derbyshire.
11:30Salkoo units.
11:31There's some temporary traffic lights just outside the Aldi.
11:36That may be an option.
11:38If it's not on there, we're going to look at a three-car box on the E6.
11:44But it's only a short stretch, so we'll really have to bang it on quickly.
11:47While one unit tails the suspect, Luke and Nick lie in wait, along with three other units.
11:54No vehicles for cover.
11:57Four zeroes now dropping down the hill towards the bridge.
12:02Fear driven normally.
12:03No vehicles for cover.
12:04It's one behind.
12:06It's a slow mover.
12:07Just coming down to the bends.
12:09We see you.
12:10We're now into the thirties.
12:12Fear driven normally.
12:13One.
12:13No vehicles for cover.
12:15Now passing underneath the bridge into the forties.
12:18Yep.
12:19That's the swimming pool.
12:19Yep.
12:20This is just here.
12:21Passing to the near side.
12:23At the roundabout, on the roundabout, six to third, the third.
12:34N84, that'll be your vehicles altogether.
12:36We're approaching.
12:38Temporary lights.
12:40Can we get it on?
12:41Can we get it on?
12:44That's fine.
12:45Yeah, it's too close to that vehicle in front.
12:47We're not able to do it here.
12:50There are two front-seat occupants in the car.
12:53If he's right up behind that truck, I'd do it.
13:20If it's on, in these lines, I will go front.
13:25You can stop that, Rory. You have to get right alongside it.
13:28We'll be torn on the near side as well as a really wide pavement.
13:31We'll take the near side.
13:31We'll take the near side.
13:35Somebody's asked.
13:39We're ready.
13:40Coming up...
13:41Up the pavement, up the pavement.
13:43The team is forced to make a move.
13:45Open the door now, open the door!
13:47Open the door!
13:48And suspected drug dealers...
13:50So we think you're drug dealing.
13:52Quite simple.
13:53Try to trick the cops.
13:55I can show you that I'm nothing on you at all.
13:58OK.
14:15Package to the inside.
14:16Derbyshire's road crime team is tailing a suspected drug dealer near the Manchester border.
14:22An A4, Southview vehicles all together. We're approaching.
14:26That's my life.
14:28The officers are waiting for an opportunity to box his vehicle in and detain two suspects.
14:33If it's hard, in these lines, I will go front.
14:38If you can stop that, Lorry, you have to get right alongside it.
14:41We need someone on the near side as well as a really wide pavement.
14:43We'll take the near side.
14:44We'll take the near side.
14:45We'll take the near side.
14:48Somebody's asked.
14:49I thought he was going to get out.
14:57Pathics move it.
14:58As soon as that truck comes to a stop, what's the pavement like that side?
15:11Is it narrow?
15:12Narrow, yeah.
15:12Yeah.
15:13Now.
15:14We're ready.
15:15Go, go, go.
15:16Up the pavement.
15:17Up the pavement.
15:17Open the door.
15:27Open the door.
15:28Open the door.
15:30Give me your hands.
15:31Give me your hands.
15:32All right, pal.
15:32Give me your hands.
15:34Yes, of course.
15:36All right, mate.
15:37I'm at my home.
15:38All right.
15:38At the minute, you're detained, OK?
15:39Right, fella.
15:40You two, listen.
15:42You are both detained.
15:43Yeah.
15:43Section 23 of the Missions and Drugs Act.
15:45OK.
15:46So you're detained.
15:47Yeah.
15:47You're detained, and we're taking this car for a search for drugs.
15:50OK, mate.
15:51Understand that?
15:51Yeah, mate.
15:52Are there any drugs in this car?
15:54No, mate.
15:54Are there any drugs on you?
15:55No, mate.
15:56Are there any drugs on you, fella?
15:57I've got a crime done with a tiny bit of cannabis.
16:00Right.
16:01A tiny, tiny bit, not even a splash.
16:03So.
16:08Exactly what's in your pockets, fella?
16:10I've got my wallet, me, and I think that's it, fella.
16:13Nothing's going to harm me?
16:14No, mate.
16:14Nothing's going to harm you?
16:15No, no.
16:16No, mate.
16:16Correct answer.
16:18GMP officers receiving Oscar Romero Victor 2.
16:20Hello.
16:21So you're aware we're going to be moving off shortly and heading towards Buxton Police Station.
16:27Yeah, that went absolutely bang on.
16:37We weren't in the positions that we'd planned, and then the opportunity presented itself, and
16:43we've detained them safely, securely, swiftly.
16:46So, yeah, it's worked out really well.
16:50Did you know we're coming here?
16:52Yeah, yeah.
16:52Yeah, I did tell them.
16:53Yeah, he rang me on the way.
16:55Ah, right, OK.
16:56I'll go around this side.
16:58While the suspects are detained for a strip search, Nick and Luke search their vehicle.
17:03Anything likely, it's going to be this side.
17:04Anything likely, it's going to be this side.
17:06I think it'll be on him.
17:08Do you know when he got out of the car, when this lad got out of the car?
17:11Yeah.
17:11Did he look at us?
17:13No.
17:13He didn't.
17:14I didn't think he did.
17:15I just wondered if he'd go out of the car to either look who was behind him, or the traffic
17:22in front of him.
17:23Yeah, it was the traffic in front of him, I think.
17:25I didn't think he'd looked at us.
17:26He didn't look back and he didn't throw anything.
17:27Right.
17:30Mobile phone on the front passenger seat.
17:36Mobile phone in the centre console.
17:45That's a very wet nappy.
17:49The two phones will be seized.
17:52And following the strip search, officers have arrested the suspects and will now transport
17:58them to Manchester for interview.
18:00So it's been a positive result.
18:08Obviously, you can see we've got, I think it's going to be some crack cocaine, cocaine
18:12and then some more cocaine and heroin in this one.
18:15The only reason you'd have that amount is to distribute.
18:18Both driver and passenger had cash on them, two phones.
18:22So they've both been arrested for possession with intense supply at the minute.
18:26They were found to be carrying approximately £1,000 worth of Class A drugs.
18:32I personally care about going after drug dealers because I see the harm that they're causing.
18:37It's the violence, the weapons, the money.
18:40They're making that money unlawfully, illegitimately.
18:43Why should they be allowed to live that life when there's people about that can't afford
18:47their own house, can't afford a car?
18:49I don't want to see that in my community and I don't want my family and friends to see
18:53that either.
18:53Oscar Tango units have got a vehicle that's hit the ANPR.
19:13It's heading towards Derby.
19:15Have I got any units that can attend, please?
19:17Acknowledge any.
19:17Have you ever seen, you've got an M1 North?
19:21Yeah.
19:27Victor 2 just joining.
19:29Yeah, that's received.
19:30It's coming up to rush hour and the road crime team is back on patrol, this time tracking
19:37a vehicle on the busy M1.
19:39We are looking at a vehicle, a blue Vauxhall Grandland and the driver is wanted for a couple
19:49of theft and then, I believe, a robbery.
19:52We've got four unmarked cars out travelling.
19:56The majority of the team's work involves chasing down drug runners and thieves using number plate
20:02recognition technology.
20:04Throughout Derbyshire, there is criminals using vehicles to commit all sorts of crime, burglaries,
20:11drug supply, cross-border, criminality.
20:13And we are there with the vehicles and the special skills to get them stopped.
20:18Just onto the motorway now.
20:20It's a bit further up here.
20:21It's gone past the petrol station.
20:24He's doing about between 80 and 90 mile an hour.
20:28Yeah, they've got it.
20:29Oscar Tango 2-4's now got contact with this vehicle.
20:32Pursuit is authorised at this time.
20:35Yeah, received.
20:36We'll stay on here for a little bit longer.
20:39I've got one for cover.
20:39Just committed, committed, M1, the north.
20:43Speed is 8-0.
20:46Vehicle moves to lane 3.
20:48Lane 3, half mile marker board.
20:49Lane 3.
20:50It's on the brakes.
20:52It's now back into lane 4.
20:55Quarter of a mile marker board.
20:57Onto the brakes.
20:59We are running alongside the exit slip road.
21:03Now I've got one for cover.
21:05Still remains lane 4.
21:07And we are committed, committed, M1, the north.
21:11Now no vehicles for cover.
21:13Speed now increasing.
21:15Speed is 104.
21:17Lane 4.
21:19Where's he gone?
21:20Where's he gone?
21:20Where's he gone?
21:20Where's he gone?
21:22My first thought is that it is testing us to see if we are behind that vehicle.
21:28We're in unmarked cars.
21:29So I believe at that point it's a test.
21:32Temporarily balked.
21:35Temporary loss on the vehicle.
21:43I've now got contact contact again with the vehicle.
21:46One for cover.
21:49Victor 3.
21:50Now we're Victor 2.
21:52I'll let you go past.
21:56Another unit moves into lead position.
21:59Yeah, that's about it.
22:00I've been behind the vehicle for quite a while.
22:09So it's good for that to take primacy.
22:16We're going to put in preemptive tactics on.
22:19Obviously what we've got to think about is obviously the traffic levels on the motorway.
22:23Having enough vehicles with us to give us that sterile area.
22:27He's been driving at quite high speeds.
22:29One minute doing 70.
22:31Next minute doing over 100.
22:33Lane changes.
22:34I'm assuming that's going to be an undertake.
22:36Which it is.
22:37So he might be aware of our presence.
22:40Those kind of little manoeuvres would put my suspicions up that he may do.
22:44We're coming up in slower moving traffic.
22:50Bully, you've now got four cars with you.
22:56I'll get in here just in case it comes off so everybody else has got a gap.
23:00Keep coming boys, keep coming.
23:08Keep coming, keep coming, keep coming.
23:13As the team closes in for a stop, the suspect exits the motorway.
23:17Keep coming, keep coming, keep coming.
23:47Keep coming, keep coming.
23:49Pass me the key.
23:51Open the door.
23:51Open the door.
23:53Open the door.
23:53Open the door.
23:54Okay.
23:55Get out, stay where you are.
23:57Stay where you are.
24:01Coming up.
24:02You're now under arrest on suspicion of robbery.
24:05Incriminating evidence.
24:07There's information.
24:08Link yourself in the vehicle to survive control drugs.
24:10And more crackdowns.
24:12What have you got on you?
24:13In there.
24:14In here.
24:14On drug crime.
24:15So we think you're drug dealing.
24:17It's quite simple.
24:35Keep coming boys, keep coming.
24:37Keep coming, keep coming, keep coming.
24:41Near Derby, in rush hour traffic.
24:43The road crime team has brought a car carrying four suspected robbers to a stop.
24:54Pass me the key.
24:55Open the door.
24:56Open the door.
24:57Open the door.
24:58Okay.
25:01Get out.
25:01Stay where you are.
25:02Stay where you are.
25:04Right, just listen up then.
25:07You're all detained under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
25:10Because I suspect there's drugs on either of you or in this car.
25:13The record of the search will be made to which you're entitled to a copy of.
25:15All right?
25:17Sound.
25:18Any drugs on you?
25:20Any drugs on you?
25:22No.
25:23You go to Tonya?
25:23Say again?
25:24You're not go to Tonya, have you?
25:24No, no, no.
25:25How you keeping?
25:26Grab my vape, all right.
25:27All right?
25:28Yes, I'll grab my vape as well.
25:29Yes, mate.
25:30Yeah, I'll tell her.
25:30In this role, we do come across the same people that we've stopped, we've dealt with them,
25:36we've handed them over, they've gone to court, and then they're back in that same cycle again.
25:40Maybe it's a life that they want to be in, but it does seem sometimes that it is the same people time and time and time again.
25:48Following a search, officers take the suspects into custody.
25:52We're going to go to try, mate.
25:54Ugly lit, nice car.
25:58Don't see you tonight, yet.
26:00Done.
26:03Yeah, it's a good ending to it.
26:05The vehicle's pulled into the lay-by, and we'll never know why, whether they knew we were behind them or whatever.
26:10It's pulled into the lay-by, and then we've boxed the car in front, side and back.
26:15So, it's all gone well.
26:22While each suspect is taken for a strip search, their vehicle is also checked.
26:46Well, I may take a seat.
26:47Have you got anything on you that we are going to find?
26:50No.
26:52So, have you got anything on you?
26:55No.
26:56Final thing, is there anything?
26:58No.
26:58Okay.
27:04I've got a phone in the centre console and also this folding log knife as well, which is in the boot.
27:13It was inside a shoe under the boot floor in the boot, so it was actually, like, hidden away somewhere.
27:20So, it makes me think it has been used in some offence, because I think one of the occupants is wanted for robbery.
27:25It's illegal to have it in public anyway, so season it, and they can be asked about it as well.
27:31A small amount of cash has also been recovered.
27:34Go on, get here.
27:35Get here.
27:36I'll put it back in your pocket.
27:37Yes, sir.
27:46The time is now 1633 hours by my watch.
27:49You're now under arrest on suspicion of robbery and also theft, which happened in Notts.
27:55Okay.
27:56Any questions?
27:57No.
27:58Theft in what, sorry?
27:59Theft from shot in Notts.
28:01Theft from shot in Notts.
28:02Theft.
28:03I don't know what of.
28:04Pardon?
28:05Robbery.
28:06Okay.
28:07On the 3rd of January.
28:08Third of this month.
28:09Okay.
28:10In Chesterfield.
28:11Okay.
28:12Any further questions?
28:13Okay.
28:14So, obviously, you're now going to be transported to Ripley where you're going to be booked in.
28:21The suspects will be transported to Ripley Station to be interviewed.
28:25Scotty, I'm just at the roundabout with Tesco's.
28:41Where do you want me?
28:42Right, mate.
28:43Let me get them.
28:44Ah, yes.
28:45It's us.
28:46Received.
28:47It is a black certipita.
28:58Nick and the team are back out, tracking another suspected drug dealer.
29:03We've got five unmarked cars out.
29:05The main aim at the moment is to get the vehicle stopped and detain the suspect and any other occupants.
29:17They've traced him to a residential area in North East Derby where it's believed he supplies Class A drugs.
29:26There it is, pulling out of the road now.
29:28Right in front of you.
29:32So, Chris, have you just come out in front?
29:34Right behind you.
29:47Open the door.
29:48Take your hand.
29:49Take your hand.
29:50Hello.
29:51OK.
29:52Listen to me, both of you.
29:53There's information linking yourself in the vehicle to supply of controlled drugs.
30:08OK, so you've been detained under Section 23 of the Mistress Drugs Act for the purpose of a search.
30:12Yeah?
30:13Do you understand?
30:14The only thing in this car that shouldn't be are on you two.
30:16No.
30:17What have you got, mate?
30:18What have you got?
30:19Just answer the question, mate.
30:21Stop being in with you.
30:22I've got something...
30:23Where?
30:24Just tell me where.
30:25What have you got, mate?
30:27Let's get him out.
30:29Right, OK.
30:31OK.
30:32Fine.
30:34What have you got on you?
30:35In there?
30:36In here?
30:37There's a phone on his seat, by the way.
30:39It's just come out from under his lap.
30:40Nothing yet.
30:41What have you got, mate?
30:42Yes.
30:43Look, we're going to find it.
30:44We're going to strip search it.
30:45We're going to strip search it.
30:46With genuine people that we do stop, you get the feeling that they are surprised at being
30:51stopped.
30:52But with the people that are involved in the drug supply, it comes as no surprise to them.
30:57And then they become very nervous and very anxious, because they know that we're going
31:02to find what they're in possession of.
31:04There's anything in that car.
31:05Some cannabis.
31:06Yeah, some cannabis.
31:07There's a load of cashing as well.
31:08There's a car over there.
31:09At this moment in time, you've been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply
31:16of controlled drugs.
31:17OK?
31:18You don't have to say anything, but you may harm in defence if you don't mention one question
31:21or something which relates to an eye in court.
31:22I think you do say, maybe, Gavin's...
31:23Who are you nursing for, sorry?
31:25...being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
31:27So we think you're drug dealing.
31:30Oh, good.
31:31Yeah.
31:32Quite simple.
31:33Where do you live?
31:34Oh, good.
31:35Yeah.
31:36I told you it's not an interview.
31:37I told you no comment yet.
31:38It's not uncommon, especially with drug dealers, to offer an amount up, knowing there is another
31:45further amount, and they hope that we will just take what they've offered up and leave
31:48and not search properly.
31:49Well, that certainly isn't the case with us.
31:52What's going to happen now is you are going to be taken to custody, OK?
31:57And during the custody process, you are going to be subject to a strip search, OK?
32:02So we are going to check everywhere.
32:04Have you got anything concealed on you that we are going to find?
32:07No.
32:08Literally concealed.
32:09OK.
32:10Because you were very, very nervous.
32:12When I started asking you if you got anything in the car, you started wanting to say that
32:15there was something in the car, and then you shut your mouth.
32:18I can show you that I have nothing on me at all.
32:21OK.
32:22What's happening, man?
32:24Right, we're chucking him in the mark car.
32:26So jump on, mate.
32:27With me.
32:28While the driver is taken into custody...
32:30Come on.
32:31In here, mate.
32:33..one of the units goes to search his home address.
32:38We're looking for controlled drugs and anything associated with drug usage, drug taking, drug
32:46dealing, commonly known as drug paraphernalia, and anything linking him to the supply of controlled
32:51drugs.
32:52In the area.
32:53All right, no.
32:54Thank you, sir.
32:55I appreciate it.
32:56All right.
32:57All right.
32:58All right.
32:59The whole board is doing the part, don't you?
33:00Yes, make that information.
33:01Circumstances are that at 17.40 hours, the vehicle he was driving, the black side of
33:12Ibiza, was stopped.
33:13that was stopped. This is an after-information link in the vehicle to supply
33:17patrol drugs in the area. At the station, Nick searches the driver's car. In the
33:25wallet from the door pocket, the driver's door pocket, there is a substantial amount
33:31of cash. I've not counted yet. It's a grinder. Nothing in it. A pot with some tobacco. There's the papers.
33:41And a reseal bag with an amount of cannabis.
33:57With the suspect now waiting interview, a search of his home has revealed further evidence.
34:03We found a bit of white powder, which is suspected to be cocaine, in individual deal bags. And
34:09there's one slightly bigger bag of cocaine. We'd estimate the street value around £600
34:16worth of cocaine, depending on the purity of it. So it's good enough to prove possession
34:21with intent to supply. The stock went well. We found a quantity of drugs. We've located
34:28other drugs, drug dealing related items. It'll go very, very well to proving his involvement
34:36in the supply of Class A controlled drugs. So, in essence, it's a really good job.
34:43Coming up. No, no mate, it's gone. It's gone. A suspect trying to hide his tracks.
34:50Is that a stolen car? Sure? Caught red-handed. He's made something up to the place and he's
34:56been found out.
34:57This evening, mate, I might be heading back towards 850, aren't it?
35:1710 miles outside the city centre. Cheers, mate. Nick and a second unit are monitoring
35:24a vehicle that's been picked up by police cameras. There's an information marker on the vehicle
35:30to say possible clone. Well, the clone report has been put on as a result of a speeding ticket
35:36being received by the genuine owner. And I think they're trying to say, genuinely or not,
35:43that it's not their vehicle, therefore it must be a clone. The genuine registers to Stoke.
35:50If it is the genuine, it'll probably be exiting here. Scotty, on the countdown markers for junction
35:56four. Nearside indication, mate, and it's off, off, off. I'm going to try and take it into
36:11the services. Nick signals to the vehicle to pull over. No, no mate, it's gone. It's gone.
36:23It's gone towards Stoke. I think you might just be messing about, mate, because it's now lane
36:52one speed six five. And it's pulling into the first lay-by, first lay-by.
36:59Hey mate, right. Just open the door, mate. Why did we not stop? Eh? Why did we not stop?
37:19Say again? I thought you're doing it not for me. No, no mate, definitely for you. Definitely for you.
37:26Right, I'll take some details from you. Is this your vehicle? Pardon? It's your friends. Are you insured to drive this vehicle? No. No.
37:34OK. OK. So just do me a favour. What am I going to do? I'm just going to put some handcuffs on you in a moment. I think you're going to run from me. OK. So jump out for me. Just one. OK.
37:51PC Mark Scott arrives to assist. Yes, mate. For our safety, just make sure you've got nothing on.
37:58OK. Just jump in for me. That's badges and RS6. That's not what's coming back. Is that a stolen car? No. You sure? No. OK.
38:15Have you got a licence? No, no. You haven't got a licence? Are you known to the police? Yes. What for?
38:22I had a band for me. Your band? No, not now. I had more of the band as well.
38:30What was the band for? For driving. For driving? Pretty much like this then? Yeah.
38:37Does your mate know you've got the car? Yeah. He does?
38:43PC Lovett stopped this lovely Audi A6, which is bagged up as an RS6,
38:47because it had a mark on the police national computer for being a potential clone.
38:51Turns out this is a genuine vehicle. It's probably someone reported it as a clone,
38:55because they've had a fine proof for speeding. Do we know whose car it is? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
39:00Whose car is it, mate? It's friends. What's his name? Say it again.
39:05Say it again. His name's... that's his whole name? Yeah.
39:09Has he got a first or last name? I don't know his last name.
39:12Is this a real person? Yes, it is a real person.
39:15Where does he live? Er... Stoke. Do you know whereabouts in Stoke?
39:19Just behind Fenton. I'm going to put that you don't know, mate,
39:23because this doesn't sound very true to me. It's not an RS6 either, is it?
39:27No. It's a slant. It's just got the... Badge. It's just a regular.
39:32It's just a... It's just a fake badge, innit?
39:35Yeah, S-Line just means they put different seatbelts on it and that.
39:37No, it's... Pretty much.
39:38Highest... Yeah, different seatbelts.
39:41Different seatbelts. Different seatbelts.
39:43Different seatbelts and charge your fortune.
39:46Unfortunately today, for the driver, he's got no licence and no insurance,
39:50so... Well, that is a genuine vehicle.
39:53He's made something up to the police and he's been found out.
39:56Basically, love it being experienced as he is.
39:59Didn't fall for that old chassis.
40:02OK, listen to me. You stand... You stand reported for consideration
40:06of a question of prosecuting you for two offences.
40:09Namely, the first being driving a vehicle on the road with no insurance
40:13because you are uninsured.
40:15And secondly, driving a vehicle on the road otherwise in accordance with a licence.
40:19Basically, your licence is shown as expired provisional.
40:22OK?
40:23So, even if you had a supervised driver, L-Pace and anything like that,
40:27you still can't drive because your licence is expired.
40:29OK?
40:30The car's going to be seized now under the road traffic pack for no insurance, no licence.
40:34He'll get quite a lot of points on his licence and fine.
40:39Er, I'll give you that form.
40:41It's all explained on the back, but in essence, you do nothing
40:44until you receive a letter through the post to the address that you provided.
40:48If you decide that when the letter arrives, you're just not going to open it
40:51and you're going to pretend it's not happening,
40:53you'll end up then getting summonsed to court, fail to attend court,
40:56then they'll issue a warrant for your arrest,
40:58and then you'll get nicked next time you come into police contact.
41:01All right?
41:02So, don't just stick your head up your backside thinking it'll go away,
41:05because it won't.
41:06All right?
41:07And next time you get stopped driving a car,
41:08especially if you pull a stupid stunt like that again,
41:11you'll end up getting nicked.
41:13All right?
41:14So the vehicle will be recovered to one of our road to recovery garages,
41:17and the owner can either come and collect it and prove
41:20that they're insured and got a licence and it's their vehicle,
41:22but if they don't, it'll be scrapped.
41:24I'm not going to lie to you.
41:25I think you're just talking out your arse, mate, and this is your car.
41:28If I'm personally honest,
41:30your fictitious mate is going to have to prove that he is the owner of the car,
41:35and if he can't, because the logbook isn't in his name,
41:37he ain't going to get the vehicle back.
41:39Yeah, just go with my colleague.
41:44He's going to drop you off at the services.
41:46You know the services where you should have followed me instead of doing a stupid stunt?
41:49Stupid stunt?
41:50Yeah.
41:53Little monkey.
41:56With cross-border criminals fuelling crime across the region,
42:00targeting them remains a constant challenge for the team.
42:04Some people will say that you're fighting a losing battle,
42:07especially on a unit like ours.
42:08You can't see it like that.
42:09We've got a job to do.
42:10We go out and do that job to the best of our ability
42:13and put those that are at wrong before the courts.
42:16Some go our way.
42:17Some don't go our way.
42:18You can't give up that fight.
42:20And if they then get released or they end up back on the streets
42:23and they start again, we go for them again.
42:26We'll look at drug dealers.
42:28We'll look at burglars.
42:30Wherever the force sees a risk and threat to the community,
42:33that's sort of where we'll get sent in to try and tackle that threat.
42:37You know, every drug dealer in Derbyshire should know
42:40that at some point we will come for them.
42:45In this episode...
42:47There we go. It's failing to stop.
42:49Go on, let's go.
42:50Go on!
42:51Failing to stop. Failing to stop.
42:53Inquiries into the Audi and transit van that escaped are ongoing.
43:03The two suspects arrested for drug dealing...
43:06Open the door now! Open the door! Open the door!
43:10..were charged by Greater Manchester Police
43:12with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
43:15Crack cocaine, cocaine, some more cocaine and heroin in this one.
43:19Both men have pleaded guilty...
43:22..and are awaiting sentencing.
43:24Of the people pulled over in the Vauxhall.
43:33Open the door! Open the door! Open the door! Open the door!
43:36OK.
43:37All four suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
43:41But no action was taken against them for any theft offences.
43:48Is there anything in this car that shouldn't be around you, Ted?
43:50The suspect found with drugs in his home has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
43:55I can show you that I have nothing on me at all.
43:59But received a 12-week suspended sentence and a four-year ban for disqualified driving and no insurance.
44:05His friend was released without action.
44:08Is this your vehicle?
44:09It's a good friend.
44:10Pardon?
44:11It's a good friend.
44:12And the man caught driving the Audi without insurance and a licence...
44:15It's not an RS-6 either, is it?
44:17No.
44:18It's just fine.
44:19You just got the...
44:20Bud?
44:22..has been reported on summons to court.
44:45But you're given the no chance to have a disaster.
44:52It might...
44:57You can control.
45:00You can control the back of your lives.
45:01If you choose from being out...
45:02your live broadcast.
45:03Uber has expressly saved the IDS.
45:05We'd be passed on that network that Seanania H esteemed him to like you and you are out of万 RM towards Cape S,
45:08but hopefully later, his wifeご brainset your spirit and his wife are miał now.
45:10Your wife will go ahead and bury.
