George Bennett gives his post-match reaction after Walsall came from behind to draw 1-1 against Crawley Town at the Broadfield Stadium.
Transcript
00:00Hi Sadlers fans, I'm at the Broadfield Stadium where Walsall improved in the second half to salvage a 1-1 draw against Crawley Town.
00:10It was through a spectacular strike actually by Connor Barrett eight minutes after the restart which cancelled out Ryan Loft's first half header.
00:23And yeah, it was a game of two halves really for Walsall, they just weren't at the races and Matt Sadler even admitted in his post-match press conference there that they just didn't seem quite at it.
00:36And Crawley awarded a penalty inside five minutes after Aaron Presley had actually had an effort from distance turned on to the crossbar.
00:44But yeah, Crawley awarded a penalty five minutes on the clock and Myles Roberts plunged to his left-hand side to deny Harry McCurdy.
00:55But Crawley still carried the bigger attacking threat in that first half and had other chances.
01:01But the goal, yeah, did arrive when McCurdy hung across up to the back post and Loft was just afforded far too much space inside the penalty area.
01:10And a free header cushioned it beyond the reach of Myles Roberts.
01:15But Walsall did improve after the break and Connor Barrett levelled the contest, surged inside from the left and from the right, sorry.
01:27And yeah, smashed a beauty into the far corner.
01:32And Matt Sadler there just asked him sort of where he thinks Connor Barrett ranks in terms of in his position in this division.
01:39And he says, you know, no doubt that he thinks he's the best right wing back in League Two at the moment.
01:46And Daniel Kahn, who also had a volley saved.
01:52And in the end, yeah, Walsall were forced to settle for a point, probably a fair result, really, on reflection.
01:58I thought Crawley did play very well, played some good football at times.
02:02And just a quick one as well, I asked about Harrison Burke, obviously, he was missing today.
02:07Matt Sadler made four changes.
02:09And the news on that is that he had a scan on a knee injury, which forced him off in the game against Bristol Rovers last week.
02:17And Sadler said, you know, he's hopeful that it's only a short term one.
02:22And, you know, if he's not ready for next Saturday when Barrow visit the best got, then he expects him to be available the weekend after that.
