George Bennett gives his take as Walsall fought back to draw 1-1 at Fleetwood.
Transcript
00:00Hi it's Adlers fans, I'm outside the Highbury Stadium where Walsall have been held to a 1-1 draw against Fleetwood Town
00:08and Walsall came into this on a run of three wins but it's still unbeaten in four games
00:15Walsall made a bright start actually but after around the 10 minute mark which saw Evan Weir send a swerving free kick
00:24which whistled just over the crossbar, it was actually Fleetwood who hit the front 15 minutes on the clock
00:32Ryan Graydon had had a really good chance just before, managed to sneak in behind Aidan Flint
00:37he rounded Miles Roberts but Flint was there to recover and make a crucial last ditch challenge
00:43but that was not the last that Walsall saw of Graydon who Matt Sadler said he feels is one of the most dangerous frontmen in the division
00:51when I spoke to him just then and yeah he was gifted a free header, a really poor goal to concede from a Walsall perspective
00:58inside the box, crossed from the left hand side from, sorry right hand side from Davis
01:04Walsall struggled to clear their lines really from a set piece and yeah he received a second ball
01:09delivered it in the box and Graydon was there to tuck his header into the far bottom corner
01:14but Walsall did recover well and it was Daniel Kahn who had actually snatched it a chance just moments before this
01:20but a long throw, knocked down and he was there to pounce from close range and fire his finish
01:27beyond the reach of the Fleetwood Town goalkeeper
01:29second half, I mean Walsall really posed the bigger threat and if there was a side that maybe deserved to edge it
01:38then it was the Sadlers, Lewis Warrington fired an absolute firecracker from distance
01:45and it cannoned off the crossbar, Courtney Clarke just spoke to him then and he had his mother in the stands today
01:54and on his first league start, a really energetic performance from him
01:58and Lewis Warrington looks like a player who's growing in stature, growing in confidence
02:05so it was a good performance and good performances on the pitch from the Sadlers in general
02:09just frustrating really that they couldn't find that second goal and talk about Courtney Clarke
02:14he dragged one wide, Jamil Matt and Albert Adoma came on
02:17I think there was one where Albert Adoma sort of had a header smothered inside the penalty area
02:22but in the end that goal just wouldn't come, Walsall have had to settle for a point
02:27one which Matt Sadler said he feels is a good point
02:29and just away from the game as a footnote, Jamie Jealous, Priestley Farkerson not involved
02:34both groin issues, did return to training in the week
02:37but Sadler did say, you know, he kind of wanted to just maybe give Fleetwood the false sense
02:44that both could potentially be involved
02:46but he felt that that was actually never going to be the case
02:50however, he does expect that both will be available and fit for next weekend
02:56when Tramia Rovers visit the Bescott
