A 59-year-old man died, while 18 other passengers were injured, after the express bus they were in rammed into a road sign along the North-South Expressway near Southville on Saturday (Oct 11).

00:12Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress
00:17call was received at about 2.57 a.m. He said the victim, Chu Sin Heng, was found trapped inside
00:24the vehicle and was later pronounced dead by medical personnel. All 18 injured passengers
00:29received immediate treatment at the scene. Ahmad Mukhlis added that the rescue operation
00:35involved 18 personnel from the Bangi, Serikembangan and KLIA fire stations.
00:41Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
