00:00And he's not on pit road in front of us, which we are directly across from the Corvette pits,
00:05all four of them, right in front of our lovely box demarcated by its flag of St. George.
00:11And yet, there are no crew out on the apron, there is no car out on the apron,
00:18no tyres on the apron, no sign of preparation.
00:22The timing of the scoring has shown him still as being in the pits,
00:25and not having completed a pit stop and made a timer for it.
00:30So, in the door column, showing him his staff is out there.
00:36So, there's a green glitchage going on there from the timing and scoring system.
00:42How neat in the night is it now when I'm describing you in quite plainly detail
00:47how far the timing and scoring system is going?
00:50That is quite a detail, right? Yes, I've got to do it.
00:55Now, who else has claimed to be on pit road?
00:58Well, when you get the check, the plan that we see, probably still is,
01:03haven't seen the picture of it for a fair amount of a while, and the unique fanciers.
01:07I imagine Paul has probably got that by now.
01:09Paul Jason's car now slipped to the bottom of the moving pile, because it's not.
01:13The risk is now, Shedda's 39th.
01:16They haven't given up, they are.
01:18Well, I notice the car is still sticking out in the garage, and I still see bodies moving.
01:22I mean, I'm sort of looking around the corner, and I realized it moving properly, properly.
01:26As this is Johnny Kane, it is Kane J.
01:29I think, there again, another one who's decided that sitting in a concert box with me
01:34while occasionally entertaining certainly is in a proper way of earning a living,
01:37and is continuing to hang on to in a very sensible way of earning a damn fine job as well.
01:42This is our GT LMP2.
01:46Sorry, if I'm getting all the letters wrong, you will forgive me, because you know better.
01:50LMP2 leading car.
01:52He's awaiting Nick Leventus coming at the end of double stick.
01:55Still has a leading class.
01:56He's getting all the letters on the other Acura chassis, which is currently driven by Carlos, Mark and Werner.
02:06So, when the Lexus gets in to the pit, when we're going to have John Kane,
02:11I expect that backboard to be weird, but there's no reason why that's not going to be all the way to the end of the race.
02:17It's not going to be all the way to the end of the race, but it's not going to be all the way to the end of the race.
02:47But he was coming in, the signal seemed a bit poorly, it was just the camera angle that led us to believe he was going slower than perhaps he was actually going.
02:57No, no, I don't think he had a problem.
02:59We just saw a lot of him on the track, which I'm just thinking, which we've been talking about him.
03:04So, we've just come back in again one day.
03:06In fact, this is only pit stop number 13 for him,
03:10where the GT2 leaders have got 13, 14, 13 and 12.
03:16How do you got the sports, respectively?
03:19So, if I drove somebody a pit stop, he's going to be perfect for that.
03:26Out goes Alan Simons, for Simonson, he did it to his key.
03:32The pit place, as it was two minutes ago, when we talked about the loss.
03:37On pit road, incidentally, now, Mr. Director, is the number 25 car,
03:41which, as any call known, is the RLR entry.
03:46And in the list, of this town, for the winner, for Jaguar.
03:51Now, the doors open, and there seems too much AWOL getting out of what's going on.
03:58Oh, hang on, I'm going to speak.
04:00Oh, well, receiving a very shiny new tyre going on.
04:05You're not watching this, I am.
04:07So, shall we talk about the verse on the screen?
04:09Anyway, we're still in the LMP2 class.
04:14We've had a spate of really annoying little incidents on that car,
04:17still in the daylight hours and into the early evening,
04:21which robbed him the chance to be running in third place.
04:24And I suppose, in our little instance, we could definitely say the case
04:27for the number four car, Lidia Pannis, getting ready to take over.
04:32Which, I don't know, from Duval, the car was in second place,
04:37looking really strong and catching the leader when it had its problems,
04:45which, did I mention?
04:47I think by now, the rear suspension rebuild was going on there
04:52while they were trying to hide it all from us.
04:53Like, it makes a difference.
04:55And that car is in sixth position.
04:57Into the pits is Nick LaVentis, and in the pits currently.
05:02And the other way to my monitor is the Pescarello car.
05:07I'm going to turn my eyes to the timing,
05:10to the timing screen, to find out,
05:12is it Nick LaVentis, or is it Nick LaVentis,
05:14or is it Nick LaVentis, or is it Nick LaVentis,
05:14have we taken over for?
05:16We shall not check you there.
05:17Anyway, he's gone.
05:19So it's the 70MT, which still hasn't been done.
05:22So it's a triple six, and it's a triple six,
05:23coming up for Mr Alves.
05:25Can't see him.
05:37Yeah, in front of us.
05:41He's now in the middle of the panties,
05:43and he's going to be in the middle of the car.
05:46What's about how to get over to the panties?
05:52And the knees are best to finish doing their work.
05:54We will take away the picker force,
05:56but we will have a little bit of the top of us.
05:59Yes, you will have a little bit of the lead.
06:01That's what it's all about.
06:02We're back in about half an hour in 40 minutes,
06:05we are going to have a lot of long features
06:06coming in with the only side.
06:08LP2 leader leaves.
06:10That's not even with Niner.
06:11That's all the players in Perjot.
06:13We're not going to have a lot of players on the bus.
06:18You can have Jerob's trips on the ice,
06:21as well as a whimspring.
06:22That's not even at all, as well.
06:23It's Perjot watching and then tearing up the tails.
06:27He goes back out with no dramas,
06:29and he goes back out faster than a lot of the car.
06:32This is technically a little bit of a rich drama.
06:35There's another one of those things
06:36that he's stopping cleaning the tyres,
06:38but there's another beginning of going.
06:40Oh, thank you so much.
06:44Debriefing me on Perjot Gauss for Lloyd Duval,
06:48who's just brought in the car on the 4th,
06:50I've seen him quite the center of the street in areas.
06:53And, of course, that car in second place
06:56brought suspension rebuilds, delay,
06:59and a nice solid stint in that car as well.
07:03Now handed over to Evie Pannis.
07:06Really disappointed for Uka Shona's team.
07:09They were looking very strong indeed.
07:13Certainly, really, in the very worst,
07:16came to the worst,
07:17to back up the lead Perjot.
07:19And things played slightly as well.
07:22It was a little bit of a lead Perjot,
07:24so it's not that's how it is.
07:26But the water still to play under that team.
07:28It's slow car being on track number 40,
07:31Kia Keevo, ASM car,
07:33Miguel Amara, Olivier Clair,
07:35and Warren Hughes.
07:38And that is third, fourth in the LNB2 cars,
07:44and they get five behind the wheel.
07:49Let's hope that it's not a major drama for them.
07:53It's a Zytec number 41 crew,
07:56which is sixth in the GT,
07:59the LNB2 class is getting ready for them.
08:04They're stopped.
08:06Gary Javendon getting ready to come in,
08:09and Kareem OJ getting ready to go out.
08:11Well, in the middle of the night,
08:18trouble strikes for some,
08:20but for others,
08:21routine service,
08:23and for the teams,
08:24really vital time to get a bit of rest.
08:26All these guys have been up
08:27since at least six o'clock on Saturday morning,
08:30working hard all week long.
08:32It really is a very, very long week.
08:34Even if everything goes right,
08:36the days are very long indeed.
08:38And now,
08:39with just 10 hours and a half,
08:41the race remaining,
08:43eyes are starting to get a little heavy.
08:45I have to say,
08:46when the daylights arise,
08:48this is when you really start to get those gritty eyes
08:52and feel very sleepy and very flush,
08:54but then I'm not down here in the pit lane anymore
08:57with lots of breakers in the air miles than in the hair,
09:01so that probably makes a bit of a difference.
09:04So we're getting up and down and round up.
09:06There aren't too many TV booths up here,
09:09but yet they seem to go by us all the time
09:12without bothering to leave us an awful lot of information.
09:15So we've got the 4-hourly up there time for 13 hours
09:19where Persho, one of those and the second and the third,
09:22and Persho, fourth and the fifth,
09:24and after Persho,
09:25in the sixth position,
09:26and that is much the way it remains
09:28under 13 and a half hours.
09:31With Persho,
09:33not so much really straggled on the race,
09:36but at least we have Ransp on the race.
09:38This is our GT1,
09:40and they're looking at the blue lights on the side.
09:44On to take a run to the green lights on the side of the front.
09:49I'm not going to tell you where they are,
09:50but I'm not going to tell you what colour they are.
09:51There's Julio Canal,
09:52still in the background,
09:53keep where SEM car is in.
09:56So Lillio Park has got it back into the pits,
09:58even though it was creeping on slowly.
10:00And the degree with which they're looking at the left rear corner,
10:05and the amount of movement that's going on,
10:09suggests to me that he came in with a vibration,
10:13and the fact that they're jacking it right up in the air,
10:15and they'll get the trestles under,
10:16suggests that this is not going to be a moment of brief action.
10:20So much so that somebody's decided
10:24that they're going to start polishing the water.
10:27It seems to be a long job at the back,
10:28so it will make the front look nice and shy.
10:35Well, rear cover comes off.
10:40And coming slowly,
10:42and they start wobbling things at the back,
10:44and it's a little bit of smoke there.
10:45Now, I wonder whether that's misting oil or something,
10:49or whether it's just from the brakes,
10:53or the tyres that have got too hot.
10:54Change to the crew for 78 BMW,
10:58ejecting Uwe Alsen,
11:00and taking on, if I'm not mistaken,
11:03a Jörg Muller,
11:05which shows Mugas.
11:07No way.
11:08Jörg Muller from Barker in Germany,
11:11the name of a home of Charlemagne,
11:13Charles the Great,
11:14I don't think Jörg Muller has ever in his life,
11:20even remarkably wanted to be,
11:23well, not wanted to be Mugas,
11:24but being Mugas.
11:26Anyway, the end is,
11:27German as German.
11:30As German can be.
11:34Bavarians would argue that actually,
11:36since he comes from Arken,
11:37he's practically French.
11:39And of course,
11:40this is a Bavarian outfit,
11:41very much for Schnitzer and BMW,
11:42but Jörg Muller is very definitely not Mugas,
11:46and it's very definitely a German.
11:48Notice also,
11:49incidentally,
11:49I do apologise,
11:51that,
11:52oh,
11:52I don't remember who told me,
11:53somebody complained,
11:54and somebody's dad had said,
11:55they're not Belgian,
11:56they're Dutch.
11:56And I said,
11:58well,
11:58we don't do the grab,
11:59so unfortunately they come to the organisers.
12:00So somebody,
12:01who is Dutch,
12:02is down at Belgium.
12:04I'm not sure who.
12:05I'm not sure who.
12:07I'm not sure who's on the Belgian border as well,
12:11but the fan.
12:12It is on the Belgian border as well,
12:15so it's a fantastic system.
12:17And that is out of the blue race,
12:19you see complete here in the Ferrari,
12:22and I don't know who's going to be in here,
12:23to be perfectly decided.
12:25Number 24,
12:26the best green road racing cars in the garage,
12:28as the number 41 car finally arrives,
12:31Gary Chapman has gone out,
12:32and the green road J gets in,
12:34into the Brookladdy Geneta Zaytep,
12:37and that car now pays one more time,
12:39and that means it's up at the top to 18 hour,
12:43and the second place to Audi comes onto pit road,
12:45and from the camera view there,
12:47you can see how much,
12:49all the dirt that a mug gets distributed onto a camera,
12:53and obviously they're going onto a driver's bar,
12:58they're going onto the headlights,
13:00and all the other things,
13:01that it gets distributed onto at night,
13:02and that's why tear-offs and risers,
13:05and cleaning of lights,
13:06and particularly for the screens,
13:07from the closed few beds,
13:08is so important,
13:09because particularly with the rising of the sun coming,
13:14in the next hour,
13:15so it comes up obviously very high,
13:18as you put up on the horizon,
13:20but you do get an awful,
13:21or point on the circuit,
13:23where you are heading directly east,
13:25and straight into the sun,
13:27and a nice smeary wood screen,
13:29as any driver knows,
13:30is an absolute recipe for the stars,
13:33when you're heading into the surface,
13:34so telling us,
13:35mixed up in this,
13:37at the line,
13:38as well as in the architecture,
13:40car number 18,
13:42going slowly,
13:45that's entertaining,
13:48car number 18,
13:50I don't think we have a car 18,
14:05I don't think we have a car 18,
14:07right,
14:07is it 78,
14:09and now press the numbers,
14:10if it's 28,
14:12there's no 28,
14:15there's no 78,
14:1780 what,
14:19no that's what I know,
14:20is it 20?
14:20.18,
14:21no,
14:22no,
14:22not car 18,
14:24it's post,
14:25or that's what I'm looking for,
14:27but tone,
14:27as long as we don't have an 18,
14:30they've given up taking it off the screen anyway,
14:32so,
14:33shall we run around that,
14:35shall we,
14:36as the pit lane,
14:39then,
14:40comes,
14:42I'm losing travelling,
14:43I did see you that,
14:45so that's a key,
14:45that's a register,
14:47is that a number 40 key for the ASM car,
14:49or was it,
14:50it wasn't a number 40 key for the ASM car,
14:53it was for number 6,
14:54I'm going to have a car,
14:56that way,
14:56get ready for a driver change,
15:04and of course that means full service,
15:06so,
15:06clean set of tyres,
15:08use of tyres,
15:09use of tyres,
15:10first set of tyres,
15:11road there,
15:12it looks relatively,
15:13quite a minute,
15:14it's relatively chill,
15:15getting suited and booted,
15:21of course,
15:22in the olden days,
15:23drivers would have won their,
15:25dinner jacket and bow tie,
15:26all the way through,
15:27or they would have worn their race suit,
15:29or road man,
15:30or whatever,
15:30all the way through,
15:31nowadays,
15:32you bring several sets,
15:34and if you're really good,
15:35you've got a washing machine,
15:36and a tumble dryer,
15:37to make sure they're nice and clean,
15:38not just for the drivers,
15:40but for the pit crew,
15:41and the mechanics,
15:41and everybody else,
15:42so that you're not,
15:44sweltering in your own filth,
15:45for 18 hours on air,
15:47it's totally different,
15:48you know,
15:48I mean,
15:48it used to be sort of,
15:49two sets of overall,
15:50so one got wet,
15:51you had to dry it,
15:52and probably put the other set on them,
15:56also the catering directors,
15:58I'm talking here about the worst team,
16:00largely,
16:02who run by the driver's bikes,
16:04terribly little of that,
16:06all the girls,
16:07so any of these,
16:09this fat from the input,
16:12kept going off,
16:13and beating the commentators,
16:14the line,
16:15which is what they did,
16:17wouldn't be me,
16:18actually,
16:18I don't know,
16:19I don't know,
16:19I don't know,
16:19I don't know,
16:20as well as the team,
16:23and as well as the mechanics,
16:24that didn't happen,
16:25so we've seen now,
16:26the other side of that is that,
16:28once it got to darkness,
16:30any commentator would have cleared off,
16:32a very nice restaurant,
16:33had a fine slap-up meal,
16:34gone to sleep for a good eight hours,
16:35and walked back sometime in the morning,
16:37when either the radio were interested,
16:39or,
16:40well,
16:41in Latin years,
16:43there were actually some television pictures,
16:45well,
16:45yes,
16:45I'm thinking in the days of,
16:48when I sort of used to listen,
16:49as a boy,
16:51to Ray Baxter,
16:54and,
16:54I guarantee,
16:55he was not at three in the morning,
16:56on the home set,
16:57he was all right,
16:57no,
16:58he was all along with that midnight,
16:59though,
17:00quite early in the morning,
17:01that sort of thing,
17:03yes,
17:03that is,
17:03he would have,
17:04and Johnny,
17:04by the end of the point,
17:05at the night,
17:06splendid,
17:06yes,
17:07enjoy his day,
17:08and a good night's sleep,
17:09and it's,
17:10you know,
17:10there are,
17:11almost as many people,
17:13awake on their sofas,
17:14as there are people,
17:15in the comedy room,
17:16so,
17:16it's our duty to,
17:18be,
17:18continue,
17:19to make a better edge,
17:20back down,
17:20garden of seven,
17:22and the person,
17:23walking off into the garage,
17:25I don't know quite exactly,
17:27what the frame of the mind,
17:27of the Audi drivers,
17:29was,
17:30at the beginning of the race,
17:32but I'm willing to bet,
17:33that they are feeling,
17:35more politicians,
17:37and,
17:37more get up,
17:39and get up now,
17:40and particularly,
17:41the drivers of the seven,
17:42I mean,
17:42without question,
17:43they're not going to win the race,
17:45but she is,
17:46particularly obvious,
17:48however,
17:49their teammates,
17:50in car racing car,
17:51not only,
17:52might,
17:53well,
17:54have something to say,
17:55about this race,
17:55before it's all,
17:56there's only a ladder,
17:57between the lead,
17:58Peugeot,
17:58and the two Audis,
17:59that chase it,
18:00question to the one,
18:02it's hardly looking like,
18:03a man,
18:03with the weight of the world,
18:04on his shoulders,
18:05and this time,
18:07it's not for him,
18:07however,
18:09Audi might,
18:10just might,
18:11in the next 10 hours,
18:13hold something out of the fire,
18:15of the all recent rounds,
18:17in the now,
18:17the extreme advisor,
18:18and the hearing director,
18:20in the school,
18:21also,
18:21Audi,
18:22in the state of the,
18:23the hearing director,
18:24and the one,
18:25the two,
18:25the speaker,
18:26and the big fan,
18:26and say that,
18:27the party's going to find,
18:28say,
18:29the industry,
18:31and the devices,
18:32of the air,
18:33as well,
18:33it's not for him,
18:34as he was earlier,
18:36we,
18:36Yeah, look at that, but I do need a look at that now, he's the number 37 miles from the
18:44circuit that's now at 20 miles, I think there is a push in the 60 miles, still 120 miles
18:51at 70 miles.
18:53In the 2.0 class, behind the 20, and the 7.7 right there, and get in the respect of the
18:58pits, but they are still striving to get this thing to do the wheel kind of paper, but I
19:03We think about looking at lap times when we see if the pit lane is to get them in the rest of time.
19:07That's fine, I don't know, but what's the lap times to turn?
19:10Cars in front of it are going 4.2s and 4.8s.
19:14We've seen laps at 4.4.2.
19:16It seems like it's written that far away.
19:20I would imagine that the 3.22.9 we are seeing for Laja must be fairly close to the fastest lap you have at any time.
19:32Well, any added.
19:34Yes, we've seen the fastest lap of that car.
19:37We've had a 3.22.9 from Anthony Davis, and I'm pretty sure it's the fastest lap of that car.
19:44But yes, it's just been picked up as the fastest lap of that car.
19:48And I'm pretty sure it is the fastest lap of that car.
19:54And that was 3.12.
19:56It brings up 2.4.
19:57And now it's 3.4.1.
19:591.4.3
20:01It brings up 1.3, the fastest lap,
20:032.5.3.
20:04The fastest lap of that car.
20:05And now it's 3.4.1.
20:07And the fast lap of 7.1.
20:09And now it's 4.1.
20:10It's 4.1.
20:42Oh, this is like it.
20:44So we've got help.
20:48We're standing on the ground.
20:52It's done red.
20:54Out of the way of the car now.
20:56That's a well-known flyer.
20:58It's done red.
21:00It's done red.
21:02It's done red.
21:04Oh, sorry.
21:06No, no, sorry.
21:08It's done red.
21:10It's done red.
21:12It's done red.
21:14It's done red.
21:16Well, I'll have a release of six.
21:18I'll have a report from David Gunther.
21:22We've been out to view them.
21:24And so do we close the office?
21:26Okay, thank you.
21:32Away goes the spiker.
21:34As in comes the cylinder.
21:36This is car number 50.
21:38Our GT1 leader.
21:40Now outside the top 20.
21:42And 22nd place.
21:44Behind the top GT2 cars.
21:48And that ain't gonna change.
21:50In the next 10 hours.
21:52It is only going to be able to take a mile.
21:54GT2 cars.
21:56It is a quick car.
21:58Certainly at the end of it's life.
22:00Not really quite lived up to it's promise.
22:02I don't think.
22:04Couple of teams.
22:06Running successfully in the FIA GT championship.
22:08But otherwise.
22:10Particularly in the endurance races.
22:12Sebring.
22:13Le Mans.
22:14And all of those.
22:15Really only flattered to deceive.
22:16I think they must be some of the best run cars.
22:18Rather have had.
22:20I've turned it up here.
22:21But.
22:22Orica certainly had a good.
22:23Effort at running one.
22:24And if you can't run more properly.
22:26With Orica.
22:27It's obviously not a car that's easily run.
22:29At the moment.
22:30It's in what would seem to be.
22:32It's last of all the race.
22:34Not just that car.
22:36That car must be Salim.
22:38As a whole.
22:39Juni Canal then.
22:40New York's pit lane.
22:41Still in 72nd place.
22:42And leading in the GT4 class.
22:44By three laps.
22:46From Xavier Massa.
22:47In the Corvette.
22:54There's Aline Hall right now.
22:56On Vives.
22:57On Spain.
22:58It's the car number two.
22:59The Asim car.
23:01Which.
23:02Is still lapping a little bit slower than the 2nd place car.
23:05But it wasn't a matter of four seconds.
23:07On the previous down.
23:08If so happens.
23:09Um.
23:11And uh.
23:12The Audi's now.
23:13In.
23:14Second or third place.
23:15Offer a car.
23:16On the back.
23:17On the back.
23:18On the back.
23:19On the back.
23:20On the back.
23:21On the back.
23:22It does need something.
23:23Perhaps.
23:24To make that a little bit easier.
23:25Is that they're going to put some pressure on.
23:27That's even.
23:28Because every other car.
23:29In the.
23:30Uh.
23:31Peugeot.
23:32Uh.
23:33Back up.
23:34Tricks.
23:35Has had problems.
23:36Of one source or not.
23:37But now.
23:38It hasn't.
23:39It goes to really prove.
23:40That the hard you try.
23:41With the better it goes.
23:42But.
23:43The old lady.
23:45Seem to have.
23:46Voided the dramas.
23:47About the fall of the apricots.
23:48Into problems.
23:49And some venting wages.
23:50And accidents.
23:51And those sorts of things have delayed.
23:54Through our front running.
23:56Diesel engine cars.
23:58Just looking at the ludzi.
23:59Corvette number 63.
24:00Second in the gt2 class.
24:02Two cars behind his own teammate, Gavin, who's taken over recently from Olivia Barretta in that car.
24:15And meanwhile, in a different Corvette, in a different class, in a different Corvette garage,
24:23in a different class, we are waiting now for the arrival of car number 73, or 72.
24:29And they're still running for Alfon and Alfonso Tour, and that's why they like these Corvettes,
24:35because they know how they run, and they go a decent way without stopping.
24:40Stephen Gregoire, Jerome Polycom, David Hart, in 72, Giroudjus, Samyamassan, Patjus, Goulart, M73,
24:49García, People ASM's car is still sitting in the garage, and that's a really sorry sight, I'm afraid.
24:58Car number 40, multiple race winner in LMP2, dropping down the order.
25:05Still stationary, it's now gone three laps for hire, Tommy Erdos in the RML car, which has moved up to four.
25:11It is, however, still eight laps ahead of sixth place in LMP2, which is the Janetta Karim O'Jay.
25:20Well, again, let's pray for now to get the ball just shorter, both of us hanging up our headsets and going down there for half an hour to wander about.
25:31Not quite sure what it is. What do you think we can safely say is it's not at the pointy end, it's at the bloody end?
25:37Yeah, there's no doubt about that. I should tell you, of course, I'm a great man for walking up now, because he has longer legs than anybody else.
25:47It's me. It's Mark, yeah. Except that I don't do that anymore. I sit down because I'm too old to be doing it.
25:54Well, you sit down because you're too old, how do you think I do?
25:57Instead, the almost equally lanky Bruce Jones charges under my own location for a regular block.
26:03He's very, very, very enthusiastic.
26:06Very enthusiastic and quite nice. Very nice, Tommy.
26:11Hydro cars on mid lane for reasons, as so far, other A have explained to be unillustrated.
26:18So, Jeff, you've done the gear on fuller. Sets it's on VLA. So, I don't look at that.
26:23ATA Porsche, a Miro can not go as the gentleman driver's version only filmed by a Proton.
26:30Plan 75. So, this is a car for 29.30. It's the 31st.
26:35Lewis Matthews, a 75 for our pro-speed competition car.
26:39We're going to be north and south for the garage.
26:42So, to Olivia class car. So, to Paul Draxon's car.
26:45I think they're probably doing a total new rebuild on Paul Draxon's car.
27:00Ready for the next race.
27:02Yeah, you've got sort of the Porsche and choose new pistons for it in this time.
27:06They are really having a heck of a job.
27:08ATA was just a regular start.
27:11Now, Miro can not go, I'm assuming, is going to out of the car.
27:15It's only else we did. I'll find out of the car.
27:17We're going to look outside and remember them.
27:21Ah, the 97 racing box car.
27:26It's not too much sharp of the wheel. It's doing the 4.05s.
27:30And the best Porsche in the class last lap is a 4.1.
27:37And the side of us is the 4.14.
27:38Now, it's exactly somewhere in the middle.
27:40It looks as though a device is not lacking.
27:43It's not that being less good or in the middle of the car.
27:45It's all less unwilling to look into their life.
27:49Um, that's the thing of Dublin having a long standard service.
27:53You're not looking at it.
27:54You're looking at it.
27:55You're looking at it.
27:56Instead, that's our second third Porsche in the GT2 class.
28:01Touching long.
28:02Counting like 20th place overall.
28:05That's our GT2 leader.
28:08Comes onto pit road.
28:09There he is.
28:10That GT2 and GT1.
28:13GT2, easy to spot.
28:14It's yellow.
28:15GT1, easy to spot.
28:17It's not.
28:18Other than that, sound, loud, noisy and roughly the same.
28:22Look, roughly the same.
28:24But a little bit of difference between them.
28:27And, er, back in the garage there.
28:30There he is.
28:31Have we got a walk up?
28:32Have we got a walk up?
28:33Have we lost?
28:34That's the one that's fourth in the GT2 class?
28:36Doesn't look like that, does it?
28:37No.
28:38Well, we're expected to see lots of ferocious handling.
28:40We saw quite a lot there in the first part of the race.
28:43And we're also expected to see a reasonable amount of, er, well, not, I suppose, to agree mechanical,
28:52but we didn't expect to see that in the GT2 class.
28:55They tend to be a lot better than that.
28:57Perhaps in the LF2 category, the mechanical priority could be slightly taken from the track.
29:02But the GT2, they tend to space-skitch together reasonably well.
29:05So, who's having a crack-out now?
29:07Oh, well, you need to be there now, which is why these times are quite slow.
29:12So, er, yes, he's just leaving the pits now, er, with the 3.30 on the lap.
29:19Ignatia, 2.22.
29:21Yeah, and the gap is, the gap is opening up now between those two.
29:30Ignatia has still only done 17 laps.
29:33Lotta, oh, 17 stops.
29:34Lotta now 19 stops.
29:36And, er, and has dropped to third.
29:39Er, or no, he's in the gap behind Mike Lockerbetter, who's had 18 stops.
29:44And, oh, in the chair of the moment,
29:47he's in my life, the chance is going to go, er, the kid.
29:52You've done it, mate.
29:53It's not very big, actually.
29:54It's still, you know, very, very powerful.
29:57You've done it, yes, yes, yes.
29:59Er, it's really big, and still, er, actually, really disgustingly,
30:05you've done it.
30:06It's still a bit like you can share that.
30:07I think that the season was, they did in 191 when you won the, er,
30:10Yes.
30:11The one race, er, that's the, the range of the R&D,
30:14we run the, and the master, like, the charge,
30:16the 787-B, and the final line.
30:18Still, of course, I don't think we've been the only champions,
30:21and, actually, the one on the challenge.
30:23The one on the sparty, a mountain one in the tilly,
30:26from the sand, medley, through it,
30:27the divinity of Mazda, through the Japanese car,
30:30making sure there's, er, really quite a million,
30:34the METC to have come up with that,
30:36but it's definitely something like that,
30:38and, again, it's very hard to tell you,
30:41because, you know, I only have a sort of, a, a strength going on,
30:44and if we don't do guys doing this place,
30:47and the diamond team, I actually,
30:49was actually a bit easy,
30:51because, mind, of some responsibilities,
30:53were a little bit more than just contacted,
30:55when we came back, we looked,
30:57and it was a big one,
30:59and it was a big one,
31:00And the Mazda used to think he said, ah, we've got his money, and, um, I want it, didn't I?
31:06Yes, I think he backed it then, and continued the street, went to Moscow, and put it all on the land, because, um, well, you know, there's a lot of swing stakes like that.
31:15This is absolutely true. I took the other, I think it was a hundred, and I need to find it out today.
31:21I took the other, and I put it on the backside table, but I've got them fingers on it, and I've got them.
31:27Well, I've told you to teach you there, that sweepstakes weddings must have been spent at the beach. Everyone knows that.
31:36So let the baby Jesus just remind you.
31:38Well, well, there you choose to. Don't worry about it.
31:42You've got the work so the serious man.
31:45Say, please.
31:47You know, I can call you that number.
31:50But when she begins, I'll put you on down.
31:54That is the BMW which has now slipped in it.
31:59And it is still in 8th place in the GT2.
32:02It slipped in the glasses of mirror to not distance in Porsche.
32:05It is tight, it is tight, it is tight.
32:09That can't be one. That will be the fastest lap.
32:12It is the fastest lap that one of the avatators love in 325.
32:16Cool, clear, 325.
32:19That is incredible. Absolutely. 325.4.
32:23Yeah, that really is remarkable.
32:26It is a really good lap.
32:27And I am delighted because those cars are so fast.
32:30They are so fast.
32:33And that Lola Aston in 7th place still.
32:36With the 009 car and the sister car in 8th place still.
32:40So they are still fabbing pretty decently.
32:44And in fact all the truck runners now below 328.
32:49Mounting 325 at times.
32:54Both in 4th place Peugeot and 4th place Peugeot.
32:59And 323 as well.
33:02Last time they were quite late.
33:03They were quite late.
33:04So the battle is on still.
33:06And they are all pushing.
33:08Well, I think you have to say now these case absolutely as hard as they can in Peugeot.
33:15You might have to wait and see until a Peugeot starts to another hour.
33:20You might have to wait and get close to it before you can really tell.
33:24Yes, somebody said, or in Peugeot, I am not sure whether it is short.
33:29A decision being taken to drive this race at the pace of the Audi's just a little bit more.
33:37And that hopefully is the way it actually is working out as far as they're concerned.
33:42Because it's quite clear that the lesson rule, or what you've been learned,
33:48that you don't really want to get under the 320 in the 319s if you don't have to.
33:54And if you can go along around about 323 and everybody else is doing 323 and a half, 324,
34:00I don't know if you don't have to do anymore.
34:03And so that the Mauritian car is, at the moment, the only one that hasn't had a slightly longer stop.
34:09So they're all cleaning for the end well.
34:11They're just hoping to hang on there.
34:12Well, that's what they're going to have to hope for.
34:14I mean, that's that Peugeot now have one egg in their basket.
34:17They absolutely have to hope that nothing happens to them.
34:20Because Audi have had a problem on one of their three cars.
34:23Peugeot have had a problem on three of their four cars.
34:26In comes the number two car, then.
34:31There was Nick Minasio.
34:34Looking really relaxed this weekend, I thought.
34:36He knows he's got a good car.
34:38He's got a really good team.
34:40He clearly feels very, very effective in the car.
34:43He's been 24-hour test for the Lord.
34:45I wouldn't believe he's been all the time together.
34:47You've got nervousness from the left of the side.
34:50Of course, he's been trying to get out once he gets to the rest.
34:53You're still doing what he's doing best.
38:45And the Cups with the standard, and they've got it down, the top, the top, the top, the top and the top.
38:55Down he goes, so I'm going to be fired up.
39:01So, I'm going to go to the middle of the middle of the pin lane, he is, which is lost to the pin players, he lost the place to Timo Shire.
39:10It's still in front of the mirror of Kolobka, so 8 for 9th place.
39:15Can't count by Taka in the moment in the GT2 class as he goes back out on track.
39:20Charlie now really muster as the troops there in the 4th round.
39:29Welcome back to the long way, the key for everything set in the car.
39:32A still stuck in the car, actually being flat in the car.
39:36We see a bit of lumbering up there going on.
39:39Just before the 7th FW heading back out on track.
39:43New players then, Ginetta Zaitek, still travelling its team right at the middle of the 5th round.
39:50It hasn't lost any places yet.
39:53It was 5th in the LB2 class, it still is.
39:56Such place is 3-4 at the line.
40:00Let me see, this is the highlight reel.
40:03We have got to be getting ready to take some back out.
40:06And that's the number 15 out and receiving some regular service in a higher position.
40:11we have got to be getting ready to take some defensive speed.
40:18Well that is still on the track.
40:19It's an orange race track.
40:20I'm feeling right then in Cairndam 2.
40:21The Keeper Gascon at the helm of the third show.
40:24This is our race leader in Acyon, with a lap advantage over the best of the Audi's driven by Mike Rockefeller and Andre Lotto.
40:36They are about 37, 38.9 seconds apart.
40:42We need a pullback ahead of them.
40:45That's our march, public highway, flashing the lights of the GT car in front to get out of the way.
40:58Now, Clayton's people really start to pick up as the Pro-D really gets into its stride.
41:05It's a Porsche-Jerbs.
41:06This is another LLPT car.
41:12It's at the Martin, what part team were glad to rally?
41:16No, it's not.
41:17This is number 6, OUKER-AM.
41:19That's why it's taken us so long for the Peugeot to catch.
41:23The OUKER-AM on the last lap turned in a 3.32.
41:29The Peugeot just down the pits after the 4.46 last time.
41:34So it's just flying out for the race leader in the Acyon.
41:43At the first to second, at 36.7 seconds, it's still showing a lap of the timing of the score.
41:53And the Panaceon setting a personal best.
42:03Second to centre time on the last lap.
42:05First race, the Panaceon leading the race.
42:15Audi's Mike Rockampailer in second place.
42:17Audi's Andre Lotterer in third spot.
42:20Vanina Higgs returns to pit lane.
42:22She is ready for her next stint in 008, which Frank Maier is driving at the moment.
42:28The Senior Tour of Plus, Lola Aston Martin, lying in 10th place at the moment.
42:35You can see now that's the whole new company chairs.
42:37You can tip your head back and point it.
42:39You're long, long, long way away.
42:42It's the Jaylock Lamborghini.
42:44All sorts of work going on there, I mean, this is a fully comprehensive rebuild.
42:54Massive breaks.
42:56Torque bars being used to torque rules on.
43:07Doing the tracking and all sorts of stuff.
43:10Full spring clean.
43:11Well, of our 36 rolling cars at the moment, only two are actually in the pits.
43:31Two further cars being worked on in the pits,
43:35which are Paul Paul Dresden's number 11 Lola Jers.
43:41And the Jaylock Lamborghini, which you can see, which you did see,
43:45Livia Clar now, and he's ready to go back out once more.
43:51He's done a very long and slow in-ramp.
43:57Or I'm saying just, I don't think just.
43:59That was on his way back in before he had the work done on the car.
44:02Looks like it's ready to go.
44:05Looks like the Jaylock Lamborghini is ready to go as well.
44:07Mercy Largo sitting on pit apron.
44:10Everybody having a look around it.
44:11Trying to decide whether it's right.
44:15And Puchy got ready to go.
44:17That's Sushi Yogo.
44:19Heads back out on track after what looked like a good 12,000-mile service on that car.
44:24All sorts of bits of other things changed.
44:26Keep playing as end-car following him as well.
44:28So we are out in the pits.
44:30No, darn it, we're not.
44:32Peter Cox is in, in the young driver Aston.
44:35Go on, shoot, get out.
44:36Be gone.
44:38Then the only car that is shown as being on pit road
44:41is Paul Trayson's car.
44:43Now, if they could get the car going in the next couple of minutes,
44:46we might end up for the first time almost since the beginning race,
44:50with no cars in pit lane at all.
44:52Amazing.
44:53Hmm.
45:00Not much sign of time,
45:05but I'm just looking out.
45:07There's a slight lightning in the sky
45:09away to my left.
45:13So we are getting to the stage
45:15where over the next three-quarters of an hour to an hour
45:17those last sort of few minutes of darkness
45:23will begin to erode
45:25and we shall perhaps have
45:26sort of these lovely cool conditions.
45:30So it's sort of going to be quick.
45:32As we've said,
45:32there's not an awful lot of
45:33the more mist about
45:36that I can see at the moment.
45:37There's totally a fair breeze out there on the flanks
45:40and that means that it's going to blow all of it away.
45:43And here we see the traffic's still bunching up
45:46and we were saying this has been happening
45:47during the course of the night.
45:51Well, there's Alexander Bookes,
45:52fresh out of the pit lane.
45:54Audi number one is in fourth place.
45:5734 minutes and one second they've spent in the pit lane
46:00compared to Andre Lothar in front.
46:0219 minutes and 27 seconds.
46:06And our race leader, Nick Marnasson,
46:07has spent, or that car number two,
46:09spent 20 minutes and 19 seconds.
46:12So then the car 14 minutes longer in the pit lane.
46:15Livia Camel, head of Peugeot Sport.
46:18Started off with four cars at the front of the grid.
46:21One, two, three, four.
46:22Battle in the opening laps between the Eureka,
46:25Peugeot, and the number seven Audi arm,
46:29and yes, she was ferocious.
46:30Got split up by a fortunate safety car,
46:33losing Peugeot,
46:34which gave him a minute and a half
46:36of bikes to join the best outers.
46:37And since then the wheels have started
46:41to rather come off the Peugeot wagon.
46:43They've lost one car,
46:44two have been delayed.
46:45This is the most delayed of the board.
46:47This is in sixth place.
46:48Now, Livia Panisse at the wheel
46:50could be shown out to Oracle rather than Peugeot.
46:55The next-best Peugeot is in fourth place.
46:58Alexander the horse.
46:59And, of course, the best-place Peugeot is our race leader,
47:04Livia Nassio.
47:14Our general colleague, Norbert Ekengen, there,
47:16getting the wheel from the horse's mouth.
47:19Having a chat with Dusheno.
47:23He's catching up on how the car has been going.
47:26And then, for the first time,
47:29lightning in the sky.
47:30Not lightning, but lighter.
47:32Yes.
47:33That's way far left there.
47:34Yes, indeed.
47:35A little sort of movie-coloured hue to it
47:37as the cars go over the brow.
47:39Of course, that's enhanced by the lights.
47:41By the camera, rather.
47:43That's why they're just picking up
47:45a little bit more light than the naked eye does.
47:48Particularly when you're squinting through
47:50half-toothed lint,
47:51as probably most of you are.
47:53Not doing it at all.
47:55Jan Magnuson on the road in the 7th-place GT2 car.
48:00That is the number 63 Corvette.
48:07Regular service for him
48:09will be overtaken in just a moment.
48:13As well, he'll be overtaken in just a moment.
48:17And it's handed over to Antonio Cole.
48:20He's taken over the car and it is left.
48:25As I said, the pit road is almost empty.
48:28Of course, people are starting to come in.
48:29They can pass now.
48:31The next one pit road is the number 77
48:35of the proton-copy proton-water.
48:38And that is took by Richard Leet to play on surprise.
48:41In third place in the GT2 class.
48:43We're seeing that, as you see,
48:44just a little simple images recorded
48:47over the last hour or so.
48:53And it's rubbery-looking.
48:55Orica, Peugeot, receiving quick service.
48:58Last time in to keep it on the chase
49:01to try and get back up.
49:02The Stryker Racing team here are
49:04LNP2 leaders.
49:10In fact, they now have
49:12a two-lap advantage
49:14by Marco Bernardo.
49:16And for more than that,
49:17they also have the number 6 Orica
49:18behind them.
49:20They jumped up into 11th place.
49:22You'll see the place that Johnny Kane
49:24has been showing
49:24in that Stryker Racing HPD.
49:28And we have a Dura chassis
49:30with the HPD engine.
49:33Mark Rostan,
49:34Keoglu's car is on pit road.
49:42And these were sort of
49:43being a very straightforward service as well.
49:46That's when the Aston's
49:48pool was by.
49:49That was 7.
49:52And the eyes were still
49:53at the level 7.
49:55The place over.
49:58There he is.
50:027th February.
50:037th in class
50:04is on the top.
50:0610 now only
50:08are every ones.
50:09Not a billion ones left.
50:11The American is in 12th place.
50:12But I don't know if it's
50:13John Kane
50:14and a 2nd class.
50:16And then
50:17a disappointing sight
50:18for all the fans.
50:20That is the closed door
50:22of the car
50:23of 60
50:24and 61.
50:26So it looks like
50:27we're going in
50:30with that.
50:32I don't know if we missed that.
50:33There you do.
50:34I don't know if we're going to go to John
50:35and the others.
50:36He put it in
50:37and
50:38if you remember,
50:39they had a moment of indecision
50:40as to whether they would take it in the garage.
50:42I'll take it out of the garage.
50:44Oh my goodness.
50:45And in the end
50:45they took it in
50:46because it wouldn't start.
50:48Obviously
50:48nothing else has happened to it.
50:50So the
50:51people
50:52have been going to
50:52fight
50:53once more
50:55strife out.
50:58And that's
50:58the whole lot.
51:01That is the
51:02third
51:02airport
51:02480.
51:04Very sad.
51:05Very sad indeed.
51:06I mean,
51:06bearing in mind
51:07those cars
51:07in their original form.
51:10It took them
51:11I guess it's quite hilarious
51:13really
51:13because they had
51:14a couple of years
51:15sort of
51:16learning all the things
51:17the wrong way
51:18and then
51:18they succeeded
51:19in shifting
51:21a 70 direction
51:22into it
51:22and won it with that.
51:24And then they had
51:24the Mark 4
51:25and won it with that.
51:26And then
51:27just went for
51:28the Los Angeles
51:28and the whole thing
51:29back came John
51:30Wyer with the original
51:31and
51:33won it with that.
51:34And the following
51:35here
51:35a very little change
51:36of mirror
51:36and did it all
51:37over again.
51:40So
51:40done it as well
51:41with it
51:41in the first place.
51:42It was just a question
51:42really
51:43developing the car
51:45but the new
51:45probably
51:46the gurning
51:47with a head
51:48making an enormous
51:49difference
51:50than the current
51:51engine in that car
51:53but also the total
51:53little capability
51:54of the years.
51:57It probably does
51:58about five miles
52:00the gallon
52:00as opposed to
52:01about two and a half
52:02miles the gallon
52:02so yeah
52:03absolutely right.
52:07And
52:08some
52:08rather
52:09churlish
52:10car
52:10has cleared up
52:11with my
52:11example
52:11so I'm
52:12feeling
52:12a chilly
52:13side up here
52:14which means
52:14that we are
52:15due for a
52:15dawn
52:16soon
52:16I should
52:16think
52:17I'm going to
52:17off a little
52:18bit too
52:18more
52:18I don't
52:20know I have
52:20actual jacket
52:21because I know
52:22I've got mine
52:23on.
52:23No that's not mine
52:24because mine
52:25says haven
52:25inside
52:26just so that
52:27they'll
52:27something else
52:27I've got
52:29so I can't
52:29so I can't
52:29do it.
52:30That's merely
52:30a large
52:30white
52:31and
52:32the next
52:33thing
52:33so I
52:33can't
52:34I can't
52:35do it.
52:35Well that's
52:35true.
52:36I took
52:36my
52:36instinct
52:37shirt off
52:37and now I've
52:38braved it up
52:38as well so that
52:39makes do it.
52:40It is a bit chilly up here, and I did bring the jacket just so I can feel so warm that somebody's cleared off the lift just so I can't.
52:46I can't, sir.
52:47I can't.
52:48I know, I know.
52:49I can't do something.
52:52We'll get somebody who didn't order and has gone over with a jacket now again.
52:57When the scull of the swine return, then we'll be able to pull a pop on it if I haven't frozen to them.
53:04Five-hound scullies leading down to the line.
53:07Second place comes the Abbey.
53:09And finally walking a bit of a chair.
53:11It's between Benhart and Burma and Dupar.
53:13Dupar stepped out just under an hour ago.
53:16And he's getting to regret that, isn't he?
53:18He's taking the whole other front of the bike's off, so he's going to have to put another one off.
53:21And he's got one ball there, so we're not quite sure what he was adjusting or unadjusting.
53:25But he's certainly got a bike's wrong.
53:27Heads off.
53:28Heads off.
53:31Mike Waddenfall, for all the name that South American is not.
53:38And at 26 years of age, we used to think of the Audi drivers.
53:44Had the misfortune to chuck one at the scene a couple of years ago, which didn't get very easily.
53:51But as is the case with Audi, that while they're not exactly, to say, pussycats,
53:59they're going to be quite forgiving people.
54:01And I think they've probably realised that these things can happen.
54:04And they do.
54:06And you've got the fellow remaining within the fold, and does not do himself very well.
54:12Well, you see, after last year and this year, Audi has admitted that everybody can make an error of judgment, don't they?
54:20Yes.
54:21So, yeah.
54:22The driver making a mistake can cost you the race.
54:25But here in Fernand, Germany, or in a particular car, it's something that makes a big mistake.
54:31And it doesn't throw it properly.
54:34It doesn't throw it up to it.
54:35Then it will cost you a lot of races.
54:37Yeah.
54:38That's something we don't really know how to happen.
54:41It's a very good race.
54:43It's a great view in the lights.
54:46Just the main driving straight lines.
54:50Rushing up to the corner of Indianapolis.
54:58Anthony Cain stays in the Strata Racing.
55:01The Kira HPV.
55:05The drinks bottle being exchanged.
55:08Carbon fueled.
55:10And that's pretty much all she wrote, and you'll get to clean her headlights.
55:21Well no major drivers there. All of the real drivers pit stops.
55:25Check how they can make it upon a game of shot.
55:28The real drivers from the pit stops really tend to happen when the tyre changes are involved as well.
55:33There is no major tyre change there, so these track roads are really tricky too.
55:38It continues the lead from Marco Werner.
55:41Currently in a high-grub car, Matilda Hay for Oat Racing.
55:45In the third, Tommy Earl's Hall for RML.
55:50A bit of a gap back from the top four, which may be similar to each other.
55:56No, top five, which may be similar to each other.
55:59And the simplest of OJ is another two or three seconds.
56:05A bit of a gap between two and three laps.
56:09That's what they say.
56:16And it looks as though it's a three laps of drinks in ten or two hours.
56:26Looking down the times, we've got Manassian still basically the quickest in the two 23s.
56:39Neither of the two Andes at the moment pushing very hard.
56:57I don't think that the car is perhaps as hard as it might be, because it doesn't seem to be making them break through, I hope I think it would.
57:09I think there are some very fair comments at the moment.
57:13It doesn't really seem to be down to the 324s in a moment as I've started to over time.
57:19So, it's between late and 7.
57:23A little bit of a problem.
57:25It's just a very quick 7th set of drives.
57:28Maybe it's just got some trouble in trouble.
57:30So, I don't think, you know, and Alan will get this one.
57:34As it is, it's just yet.
57:36Well, the pit stops here in the mod is the number 7.
57:43It goes down, he goes back out.
57:45The Capello is staying at the wheel of that car.
57:47And it should remain in fifth position as well.
57:50The purchase of Manassian still leaves from Audi's.
57:56Yeah, what Capello is, I think?
57:58Yes, you do.
58:00One.
58:01No.
58:02Roger.
58:03Yeah, no.
58:04Roger.
58:05Roger in second.
58:06Yeah.
58:07Roger in third.
58:08So, 8 and 9 and then all the best lights on the world seem comfortable on the main channel
58:152008 channels from last year.
58:18A bit difficult to tell at the moment what the weather's going to do.
58:21The sky seems pretty high.
58:24Certainly where Dormy's breaking and you can see it doing so if you're here looking at it.
58:30Plus, there seemed to be a bit of a choppy skylight here right here and a bit darker.
58:37And I'm just wondering whether it would be this rain that you were told it was going to have and is going to have.
58:44As we were saying, the weather here is always a little bit difficult to predict.
58:49Sometimes I will say, well, it's going to rain on Friday and it doesn't.
58:52It rains on Thursday and then perhaps another time when it's going to rain on Friday.
58:55It rains inside and you can't even tell.
58:57You can't such a qualified.
58:59But here's the surviving Ginetta.
59:04You can see the wonderful array of buttons on the steering wheel.
59:10It can confuse anybody I would think in this day and age.
59:13And somehow the skilled drivers of today's racing are a little less concerned about than perhaps than I would think.
59:24So I take a look at that.
59:27And this is the car that is still apparently holding its own.
59:33It's in 19th place.
59:36It's had its minor problems but seemingly it's solved most of them and it's making its way steadily on.
59:43It's still a little bit of breeze keeping the air.
