01:42generations of Bajans who have all benefited from his service.
01:48It was during his role as Minister of Health that Lieutenant Colonel Bostic became a household name across
01:54Barbados. His calm and steady leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic earned him national admiration
02:01and respect, as well as praise from regional and international partners. In recognition of his service,
02:07he was awarded the Order of Freedom of Barbados, the island's highest national honor. Opposition leader
02:13Thorne highlighted the unity surrounding Bostic's nomination.
02:17We are pleased to join in this formal exercise that brings to this Republic of Barbados
02:26a new head of state and there's no rancor, there's no bitterness, there's no war.
02:34Lieutenant Colonel Bostic's domination, which was first announced three weeks ago,
02:39garnered widespread support. The next head of state will play a vital role in guiding Barbados
