00:27:00what we need you to do is show us where this uh weapon is all right yes sir
00:27:05um how did you get into into the armored police oh don't worry about that all right yeah we did
00:27:11we just concentrate on this mental health conditions no no any disabilities until
00:27:20no no okay i mean i don't know i haven't been checked is it this wooden fence here is it
00:27:26yes this is within the fence here
00:27:32do you know how far up it is by any chance if you don't remember okay that's all right all right
00:27:44so from the ballistic scientists um there is blood in the kitchen which is more consistent
00:27:51with a stabbing wounds tell us that are they yeah because the blood on the where the kitchen sink
00:28:01is where that bent knife is yeah that's more consistent with blood from a stab wound than a
00:28:06shotgun okay okay so the theory is that a fight the two brothers have had a fight
00:28:14which has started in the kitchen or possibly in one of the bedrooms um the mother and daughter have
00:28:22woken up they've gone towards the kitchen area the mother has been shot the mother has been shot
00:28:31in where basically where she's dropped she's been shot in the back
00:28:33um the daughter they think this is their hypothesis has been shot in the kitchen
00:28:41has turned to run or get away got as far as the table and then has been shot again
00:28:48yeah tried to get away and got as far as the table and then pull on
00:28:50it's just recording everything on their phones just recording everything huh nothing
00:29:20is my father aware don't worry about who's aware we're aware that sort of matters at the moment
00:29:25okay you're safe with us and that's the main thing okay i'm not safe you're safe with us
00:29:39right watch your head as you step in okay yes sir so take a step up oh shoelace um
00:29:44that's all right don't worry about it that's it watch your head watch your head it's going to come
00:29:49off my custody yep take a seat on me do you still it yeah sure i'll sit on the edge just so you
00:29:54don't push your hands on the back okay yeah just then is that a quick search obviously roadside
00:30:01knife was recovered that's out yeah only other things to be aware of there looks like some
00:30:05blood spray on his glasses right i've not taken them off at the minute um that's fine uh he hasn't
00:30:12kicked off straight very strange in manner right yeah all right no that's fine if you're happy
00:30:19i'm gonna shut it's quite chilling you can't prepare i think it's afterwards that you
00:30:28think about it and process it in that moment we have got a job to do and as harsh as that may sound
00:30:34we we are the police we've got a job to do and we have to do that and for me looking after my team
00:30:39that's what takes over i could tell by their faces that um this was going to have a lasting impression
00:30:50on them sorry
00:30:57bear with me
00:31:00one second
00:31:09one second
00:31:22suspected triple murderer 18 year old nicholas prosper is brought to lutem police station for further
00:31:28investigation
00:31:42With the suspect in custody, attention turns to reassuring the public.
00:32:01There's no wider threat to the public and we need to really strongly get that message out there.
00:32:05Yeah, absolutely acting alone.
00:32:07We're going to be reassuring the community, just making sure I've got this right
00:32:11in terms of what we're going to be saying to the media.
00:32:15By the time we're pulling together our media strategy, I'm as satisfied as I can be
00:32:21that there's no ongoing threat to the public.
00:32:25It's hugely worrying. It's going to have a massive impact on so many people.
00:32:29But absolutely paramount is getting that message out there to the wider community,
00:32:35to reassure them, so that panic doesn't set in.
00:32:43Come up to this visit here.
00:32:45Yes, sir.
00:32:46Morning, sir. You've been arrested before?
00:32:48No.
00:32:48I'm not only here to talk to you. I'm not involved in the investigation whatsoever.
00:32:51I'm purely intentional that you're OK.
00:32:53You hurt after I've said in.
00:32:54Please be honest and truthful with me. I'll make sure I have to do it properly.
00:32:57What if I lie?
00:32:58If you lie, well, I've only got what you said to me.
00:33:01OK, then I'll be...
00:33:02The armed police said I've been pretty honest so far.
00:33:06Lovely.
00:33:07If you don't mind standing to your left slightly for me,
00:33:10just ask these guys why you're here,
00:33:11and then I'll come back to you in two seconds.
00:33:12OK, if you just stand, that's it.
00:33:13Now I'll explain to the sergeant.
00:33:15And it's about done.
00:33:17Times three.
00:33:20Those three fences are the only thing we're looking at, isn't it?
00:33:22Yeah.
00:33:23Give me one second.
00:33:23I'll be at that one.
00:33:24Yeah, do you want that?
00:33:25Yeah.
00:33:25Right, one second.
00:33:28Right here.
00:33:29I've heard that the UK prisons are releasing prisoners.
00:33:35I don't know.
00:33:36Yes.
00:33:37I don't get involved.
00:33:37It sounds like he's doing a lot of talking from what Justin's...
00:33:44He's continuously talking.
00:33:46He's up and down, completely up and down at the moment.
00:33:51Hey, Sam.
00:33:53Hi, boss. Yeah, all good, thank you.
00:33:55I'm going to go shortly.
00:33:56I'm just going to go finish up writing up my notes,
00:33:57and then I'm going to go...
00:33:58Yeah, we're going to be standing down
00:34:00as many of the scene guards as possible fairly soon.
00:34:03Yeah.
00:34:03The gun's being recovered from the end where he was stopped,
00:34:07so it's just a walk-proof impulsive,
00:34:09and then that'll go as well,
00:34:10so it'll just be the actual big flat.
00:34:11Yeah.
00:34:12The search recovers a double-barreled shotgun,
00:34:19along with a hundred cartridges.
00:34:24Some are discovered in the woods,
00:34:26with the rest found inside the flat.
00:34:28Any injuries that you have at all?
00:34:36Cut to my hands from, like, digging around in the thorny bush,
00:34:40thorny stuff.
00:34:42I was looking for my phone, my key phones.
00:34:48Oh, yeah, I think I got cut a bit, like, during...
00:34:51Um, yeah.
00:34:54Any mental health issues?
00:34:55Not, I find no more.
00:34:57Yeah.
00:34:58Um, how are you feeling right now?
00:35:00Calm.
00:35:03Any alcohol or drugs in the last 24 hours?
00:35:06I wish.
00:35:07No.
00:35:07And you're going to have trouble doing formal IDs as well.
00:35:13Um, whether there's the old, uh, heel prick,
00:35:17blood tests that...
00:35:18Yeah.
00:35:18...tecting babies, or we might have to go for the medical records,
00:35:21or, you know, because they're so young,
00:35:23there's no...
00:35:24We're limited with options, really,
00:35:26so, um, we'll get there, I'm sure,
00:35:28but, you know, we're all happy it is then,
00:35:30but in terms of the formality of it,
00:35:32it's more tricky, so...
00:35:34Yeah.
00:35:35Ever try to harm yourself?
00:35:36I was thinking about using the shotgun on myself, so...
00:35:42Oh, yeah, I've read the comments earlier.
00:35:45Did you?
00:35:45Yeah.
00:35:46I didn't say that, though.
00:35:47I didn't say that.
00:35:49To what?
00:35:49I did not say that I tried to kill myself with the shotgun.
00:35:53Okay.
00:35:54They lied then, I didn't say that.
00:35:56Okay.
00:35:57They're also going to take my stuff from my room.
00:36:01I would imagine your house will be searched as well.
00:36:03I would envision that will happen.
00:36:05Um...
00:36:05I have some very feisty stuff in there.
00:36:08That's fine.
00:36:08I don't want that.
00:36:09Don't stress about that.
00:36:10It's all good.
00:36:11Complete the train build.
00:36:12Pretty much anything.
00:36:13Okay?
00:36:13So you're going to be going to a scale, DR5,
00:36:15and there's going to be no toilet in there.
00:36:17Okay?
00:36:18I'm fine.
00:36:18I'm fine.
00:36:18It's worth mentioning to someone who's interviewing or NCO,
00:36:29the amount of significant comments or just...
00:36:32Yeah, but things like calling through this.
00:36:34Dropping things.
00:36:35Yeah.
00:36:35It's worth them having access to.
00:36:37I see quite late for me.
00:36:38I mean, this is one of the worst ones I've seen,
00:36:49because I've been here nearly seven years,
00:36:51and you've got...
00:36:52Obviously, people get stabbed and stuff,
00:36:54and there's usually motives behind it,
00:36:56like drugs or gang-related stuff,
00:36:58but this is just so rad,
00:37:00and it's like...
00:37:01It's crazy.
00:37:03It's really dark.
00:37:05It's funny if I'm a dad, isn't it?
00:37:06Yeah.
00:37:07What triggered him at that time?
00:37:09Mm-hmm.
00:37:10He doesn't act like someone who's...
00:37:12murdered his family.
00:37:14Someone who's...
00:37:15..knowledges what they've done.
00:37:22Yeah.
00:37:23Don't know what's going through his head.
00:37:24Yeah.
00:37:25It's difficult to understand
00:37:27he's such a good...
00:37:27He's such a brilliant head.
00:37:29It's just very...
00:37:30Yeah, I just...
00:37:32Still.
00:37:33It's almost like he'd come to terms with it
00:37:35before he did it sort of thing.
00:37:36It's just...
00:37:37Two mobile phones belonging to the suspect
00:37:45are found in the woods near the murder scene.
00:37:50They are seized for forensic digital investigation.
00:37:53I need information.
00:37:57I need to understand what has happened.
00:37:59Whilst I've never dealt with a triple murder before,
00:38:03it is a murder investigation.
00:38:05We still have the same lines of inquiry to follow.
00:38:15Intelligence analysts D.I. Lee Martin
00:38:18and D.S. Darren Murphy
00:38:19are assigned to the case.
00:38:22There's so much content on there.
00:38:24So I suppose we're going to have to have the conversation
00:38:26as to how we do this.
00:38:27Do we split up the dates?
00:38:28Do we...
00:38:29I'll say that's got 160,000 web searches
00:38:31that are drawn back.
00:38:32Right.
00:38:33I'm not saying, you know,
00:38:34will we have to look at every single one of them?
00:38:36Yeah.
00:38:37Possibly.
00:38:37Yeah.
00:38:38At this stage, you know,
00:38:39looking at the concerning stuff.
00:38:40Where does that start from?
00:38:42I've had a quick look,
00:38:44just going back,
00:38:45just to see if there's any kind of pattern
00:38:48or is it just, you know,
00:38:49completely across the months.
00:38:50But it does appear at this stage
00:38:52that most of the web searches
00:38:54or the bulk of them
00:38:55are from June up until September.
00:38:59Right.
00:38:59And there is,
00:39:00obviously, there's other searches on there,
00:39:01but we're talking about 80% of that phone,
00:39:04the search history is from June,
00:39:06which, again, could imply,
00:39:08has he been planning this?
00:39:09He's building up to something.
00:39:10Yeah, or something.
00:39:11Yeah, because that's enough activity.
00:39:14Well, we're going to have to go through everything.
00:39:17This is a separate investigation
00:39:20to the murders,
00:39:21as far as I can see.
00:39:27Digital devices are so huge.
00:39:30There's terabytes of data,
00:39:32and it's all about gathering evidence
00:39:34for the offence that's being investigated.
00:39:37When I joined the police,
00:39:40we just started getting emails,
00:39:42the internet wasn't a massive thing,
00:39:45and now everybody lives their lives on it.
00:39:49Everything is accessed on a smartphone.
00:39:52Yeah, it's fraught with danger.
00:39:54Much appreciate it, Darren.
00:40:00Thanks a lot.
00:40:01Cheers.
00:40:03Top man.
00:40:03Thanks a lot.
00:40:04See you.
00:40:05Bye-bye.
00:40:05So, I'm just going to put you going.
00:40:07In an effort to reassure the public,
00:40:09a press release is prepared,
00:40:11revealing some details of the investigation.
00:40:13You just don't want to put something out there
00:40:15that he later...
00:40:16Well, this is my point.
00:40:17I totally agree.
00:40:18It tends to be a woman, a boy, and a girl.
00:40:21I don't even like that wording, to be honest.
00:40:23Both beliefs were teenagers with injuries,
00:40:25also, and I said to see informal identification
00:40:26yet to take place next of kin,
00:40:27have been informed.
00:40:28I'm going to raise an issue with that.
00:40:31An investigation immediately launched,
00:40:32an 18-year-old man believed to be
00:40:33from the same families the victims was arrested.
00:40:34I think that's OK.
00:40:39The Angela Browneague.
00:40:40They want to say that it's a contained, you know,
00:40:43all family.
00:40:44You know, I think that's what they're trying to do.
00:40:46I get the point.
00:40:47I totally get the point.
00:40:48It's just normally a bit further
00:40:50than we would have done quite that.
00:40:52It's early stage, yeah.
00:40:53Five o'clock in the afternoon.
00:40:54Yeah.
00:40:55You know, we're not even 12 hours in.
00:40:57No.
00:40:58We'd all seen how Southport had played out,
00:41:01and that is why sharing information when we can,
00:41:04having the media on side and briefed as far as we can,
00:41:08it is so important,
00:41:09because otherwise you lose that public trust and confidence.
00:41:16If you didn't like to pose,
00:41:18I'm curious,
00:41:19I am a video reference for the line.
00:41:23I don't know.
00:41:25You wouldn't know the direction of the criminal you post.
00:41:28Oh, I don't know.
00:41:32You're right.
00:41:34I don't know what an answer.
00:41:37I'm just like remembering the only place.
00:41:41Yeah, well,
00:41:42just try not to worry about it too much,
00:41:47and you sit in and get your side of the story
00:41:49with the end of the day.
00:41:52Well, what do you think?
00:41:56I don't know.
00:41:57I mean, I have a choice.
00:41:58I have a choice.
00:41:59I don't want to know the moment.
00:42:00My job is always to be sure you're okay.
00:42:03Yeah, you do.
00:42:05I don't know.
00:42:06Roughly.
00:42:07I've got three seconds on this,
00:42:09but my job is purely going to be okay.
00:42:14So you can't throw him up.
00:42:16I don't know.
00:42:17I don't want to know what you want, man.
00:42:19So what's if
00:42:22I jump in pení corn瓷
00:42:25You want to keep on up to you,
00:42:26what do you do, man.
00:42:28Okay?
00:42:28Yes.
00:42:29You look up, what do you do?
00:42:30Okay?
00:42:30It looks like I'm Robbie giving me.
00:42:32Yes.
00:42:32What about you?
00:42:33it's hugely worrying that someone that's not known to police for any criminal activity or
00:42:56even anti-social behavior they can go i say under the radar there effectively wasn't even a radar
00:43:02out there because there was nothing there to help us to identify this was going to happen
00:43:08that is a hugely scary scary thought
00:43:15okay good evening everyone um a load of work and a load of progression since we uh we last met this
00:43:22morning so we'll start at the top um with with family uh terns or helen are you able to give us
00:43:31an update on um you've been speaking to dad today so we um spoke to uh the father and his wife we
00:43:40took him to luton station to give him the agony message as expected and both of them were extremely
00:43:46distraught i remember being a a brand new police officer in uniform and having to do your first
00:43:53death message is so difficult hence why we've got experienced and trained family liaison officers
00:44:00but they are the ones that are breaking the news that um no one ever wants to have to hear
00:44:06um so he was previously married to juliana falcon and we've managed to obtain all the family dynamics
00:44:15and their concerns about nicholas nicholas's uh mental health which they kind of explained further so
00:44:21they would describe nicholas as being um highly intelligent they knew he was very different to the
00:44:30rest of the family he would kind of get interested in the subject and kind of get fixated and research all
00:44:40aspects of it being a non non-aggressive and he was polite um in terms of gaming um he was into gaming
00:44:53before but not recently and he played things like minecraft and i think it's called roblox
00:45:00um he had a habit of not answering his phone his behavior deteriorated during lockdown and they tried
00:45:11to get him active and tried to engage with him but he would just refuse he wouldn't speak so around
00:45:16two years ago and his cousin was driving his car and saw nicholas near his school and kind of waved to
00:45:24agree and they got no response back and kind of described him as being glazed not in his senses
00:45:44kyle who is sadly passed away kyle made the comment of something along the lines of nicholas is not right
00:45:54you know it's incomprehensible to think that someone without any mental health illness would kill
00:46:00three members of their own family but it's a line of inquiry for us there's obviously strict rules and
00:46:08processes to follow when someone comes into custody and part of that being an assessment of of their mental
00:46:15health
00:46:25Detectives have
00:46:54an 18-year-old man in custody
00:46:56on suspicion of killing
00:46:58three members of his family.
00:47:06A murder investigation
00:47:08has been launched
00:47:09following the death
00:47:09of three people
00:47:10at a block of flats in Luton.
00:47:13An 18-year-old man was arrested.
00:47:16Detectives say they understand
00:47:17the news is shocking,
00:47:18but do not believe
00:47:19there's a threat
00:47:20to the wider community.
00:47:24The investigation
00:47:28into the suspect's phones
00:47:30has started to reveal
00:47:31a large number of images,
00:47:33videos,
00:47:34and self-designed computer games.
00:47:42When you've got platforms
00:47:43that you can build
00:47:44your own games,
00:47:46that's where the issue is.
00:47:47The likes of Call of Duty,
00:47:50you play the game,
00:47:51and yes,
00:47:53there's violence,
00:47:54but you can't adjust
00:47:56Call of Duty.
00:47:58If you can develop a game
00:48:00where you can go
00:48:01and shoot schoolchildren
00:48:02in a virtual world,
00:48:05there's something wrong there.
00:48:07He was looking at
00:48:08some pretty sick content
00:48:10really around
00:48:11quite notorious mass killers.
00:48:14He's looked at
00:48:15some mass shooting videos,
00:48:18just on that initial review
00:48:19at the moment.
00:48:20He searched for arteries
00:48:21in the leg,
00:48:21main arteries in the leg,
00:48:23femoral arteries,
00:48:24heart shots,
00:48:26suicide by the next shot.
00:48:28He'd watched
00:48:30some animated porn
00:48:31as well
00:48:32in the early hours.
00:48:35You could see
00:48:35that he was clearly
00:48:36doing some sort of
00:48:38searches into potential
00:48:40suicide as well,
00:48:41so he was looking
00:48:42for jugular points
00:48:42on the archery.
00:48:43We've got a few areas.
00:48:50I don't know
00:48:51who's best to talk
00:48:52through Intel,
00:48:52but I know we've got
00:48:53the Facebook post,
00:48:54which Darren and Sam
00:48:57looked at,
00:48:58and I think there's
00:48:59some phone work as well.
00:49:00or so.
00:49:01Yeah,
00:49:02something jokes
00:49:03that over
00:49:04earlier this morning,
00:49:06a video
00:49:06was loaded up
00:49:09onto his
00:49:09Facebook profile
00:49:11at about 6.22
00:49:12this morning.
00:49:14On June 30th,
00:49:15we still decided
00:49:16to make the unique
00:49:17choices
00:49:18in episode 1
00:49:19of the season 1
00:49:20of The Walking Dead
00:49:20games,
00:49:21and for that,
00:49:22her face will be
00:49:23mutilated further
00:49:24than necessary.
00:49:25I also recall
00:49:34a video
00:49:34by Living Echoes
00:49:35on YouTube,
00:49:37Best of Lee
00:49:37and Clementine,
00:49:38Definitive Edition,
00:49:40it was a compilation,
00:49:42and he decided
00:49:42to kill Larry
00:49:43in front of Clementine,
00:49:47and then I later
00:49:48learned he decided
00:49:49to kill
00:49:50the St. Johns
00:49:51in front of Clementine.
00:49:52I am the chosen
00:49:55one,
00:49:57chosen by Clementine.
00:49:59I am guided,
00:50:00as Christians
00:50:01are guided
00:50:02by Jesus Christ,
00:50:05and
00:50:05there will be
00:50:08no more
00:50:09killings of Larry's
00:50:11in front of Clementine,
00:50:12no more killings
00:50:13of St. John's
00:50:14in front of Clementine.
00:50:16That's the message
00:50:16I want to give out.
00:50:22It's chilling,
00:50:25the way he talks
00:50:25about his sister.
00:50:27He's talking
00:50:28matter-of-factly
00:50:29about causing
00:50:31significant harm.
00:50:32He's talking
00:50:33about a video game.
00:50:35It's clear
00:50:36that he's got
00:50:36an obsession
00:50:37with this.
00:50:38But I bet
00:50:38your daddy
00:50:39scared him
00:50:39all away, huh?
00:50:41He's put that
00:50:42out there,
00:50:42and of course,
00:50:43with the way
00:50:44social media works
00:50:45these days,
00:50:46it gets shared
00:50:47and forwarded
00:50:48and passed around.
00:50:49You can get up
00:50:50a YouTube video
00:50:50that he made
00:50:51hours before
00:50:52he had done
00:50:53the crime.
00:50:53After a violent
00:50:54attack left
00:50:55a woman
00:50:55and two teenagers
00:50:57dead in their
00:50:58Luton flat.
00:50:59And before you know
00:51:00it, it's all over
00:51:00the place,
00:51:01and it goes
00:51:02a long way
00:51:03to show
00:51:04that actually
00:51:05the person
00:51:06who's committed
00:51:06these horrific
00:51:07offences
00:51:07wants to be known,
00:51:09wants to be out
00:51:09there,
00:51:10wants notoriety
00:51:11for the horrific
00:51:13things that he's
00:51:14done.
00:51:20He has got
00:51:39lots of photos
00:51:41of little girls.
00:51:42They've said
00:51:43that there's
00:51:43indecent ones
00:51:44that need to be
00:51:44graded.
00:51:45I didn't see them.
00:51:45that they were
00:51:47scrolling through
00:51:47pages of photos
00:51:49and I was like,
00:51:50that's,
00:51:50and he's obsessed
00:51:51with Clementine,
00:51:52which is the
00:51:53little girl
00:51:53in the Walking
00:51:54Dead films
00:51:55and Walking
00:51:55Dead game
00:51:56that he likes.
00:51:57Right.
00:51:58Instead of that
00:51:59thing that he
00:51:59says to hurt
00:52:00Clementine in the
00:52:01films,
00:52:01he's going to
00:52:02look like her face.
00:52:04Right.
00:52:05Let's have a look
00:52:06at that finger.
00:52:08Oof.
00:52:09It hurt.
00:52:10Let's see if we
00:52:11can do something
00:52:11about it.
00:52:14Yeah.
00:52:15Let's get this
00:52:16cut covered up.
00:52:17Yes, please.
00:52:22She's the
00:52:22cutest thing
00:52:23ever.
00:52:24Oh, gosh.
00:52:25I love her
00:52:26already.
00:52:28And for that,
00:52:29her face will be
00:52:30mutilated further
00:52:31than necessary.
00:52:32Detectives have
00:52:33discovered a
00:52:34Facebook video
00:52:35recorded by their
00:52:36triple murder
00:52:36suspect.
00:52:37Time to upload
00:52:38to the internet
00:52:39after the killings
00:52:41took place.
00:52:43The video reveals
00:52:44an obsession
00:52:45with a character
00:52:45from a well-known
00:52:46video game,
00:52:48Clementine.
00:52:49I am the
00:52:51chosen one,
00:52:52chosen by
00:52:53Clementine.
00:52:55There will be
00:52:56no more
00:52:58killings of Larry's
00:52:59in front of
00:53:00Clementine,
00:53:01no more killings
00:53:01of St. John's
00:53:02in front of
00:53:03Clementine.
00:53:03So we're just
00:53:15about to meet
00:53:15Clementine now.
00:53:25This particular
00:53:26kind of game
00:53:26puts you in a
00:53:28position where
00:53:28you're making
00:53:29moral decisions.
00:53:32There aren't
00:53:32necessarily right
00:53:33or wrong choices.
00:53:35You are coaxed
00:53:36into behaving
00:53:37almost as if
00:53:39you're there.
00:53:39So you can
00:53:40behave as a good
00:53:41person or you can
00:53:41behave as an
00:53:42arsehole.
00:53:45There are points
00:53:46where you can
00:53:47actually traumatise
00:53:48Clementine by doing
00:53:49bad things in front
00:53:50of her.
00:53:51Clementine will
00:53:57remember that I
00:53:58didn't save her.
00:54:03Larry is probably
00:54:05the main antagonist
00:54:06of the series,
00:54:07a deliberately
00:54:08abrasive personality.
00:54:10There's another
00:54:10character called
00:54:11St. John.
00:54:12St. John is
00:54:13not a good
00:54:15person.
00:54:16St. John is
00:54:16a cannibal.
00:54:18And as the
00:54:19player, you're
00:54:19presented with a
00:54:20choice by the
00:54:21to kill St. John
00:54:22or not.
00:54:26There is like
00:54:27a popular meme
00:54:29that comes from
00:54:31the gameplay.
00:54:32And it comes from
00:54:33the fact that
00:54:34characters remember
00:54:35your decisions.
00:54:37Clementine will
00:54:38remember that.
00:54:51This is my first
00:54:52experience of an
00:54:53investigation where
00:54:54we think video games
00:54:56have potentially
00:54:56played a role in
00:54:58what someone's
00:54:58subsequently gone to
00:54:59do.
00:55:01Isolating themselves,
00:55:01playing these games,
00:55:02the vast majority of
00:55:03people are able to
00:55:04draw that line between
00:55:06reality and fantasy.
00:55:07It's only on a rare
00:55:09occasion that anyone
00:55:10will take it to such
00:55:11lengths that actually
00:55:12it does affect them
00:55:13as people.
00:55:14have you heard of, um,
00:55:29toxic behavior in games?
00:55:46Well, in Brawl Stars
00:55:52there's an emote
00:55:53which is the
00:55:54which is the
00:55:55thumbs down.
00:55:57So, when you kill
00:55:58someone and you
00:55:59do a thumbs down
00:56:00and it basically
00:56:01lets them know that,
00:56:03um, hey,
00:56:04I think you suck at the
00:56:05game.
00:56:06I like doing that.
00:56:07I like doing that a
00:56:09lot, um, but I just
00:56:10like being toxic in
00:56:11the games.
00:56:13You seem quite, um,
00:56:15good at work,
00:56:16working with computers.
00:56:18I was born in Gen Z.
00:56:25I grew up around
00:56:26computers, so,
00:56:28as with everyone in
00:56:30this generation, my
00:56:31generation Gen Z, I
00:56:33should be pretty okay
00:56:34with computers.
00:56:35Gen Alpha should be
00:56:36even better.
00:56:38Maybe just a bit more
00:56:39crazy in the head.
00:57:01Digital analysts
00:57:02delve deeper into the
00:57:03contents of their
00:57:04suspects' phones.
00:57:07So, his message is
00:57:10that they're in green,
00:57:12um, and he's speaking
00:57:13to, uh, going to be
00:57:14the scrubs as a
00:57:15paedophile.
00:57:16Um, I don't know how
00:57:17they've met or how he's
00:57:19even got his contact.
00:57:20I think it's probably on a
00:57:22site, and it's been
00:57:23taken off site, and then
00:57:24they've gone on to this
00:57:25particular app here, and
00:57:26started it, but, yeah,
00:57:28just reading through some
00:57:29of that, um, it's, it's
00:57:30pretty graphic.
00:57:31Um, and then he sends the
00:57:33first video, um, so all of
00:57:34the files have got a paper
00:57:36clip on them, so we know
00:57:37that they're going to be
00:57:37other videos or images.
00:57:39Um, and then it gets a little
00:57:41bit more graphic.
00:57:42Um, so he's saying about,
00:57:44this is what we want, both as
00:57:46top lovers.
00:57:47Um, and now they're talking
00:57:50about what they've seen.
00:57:51He's saying he's got a boner.
00:57:53Um, he's agreeing with him,
00:57:55and, yeah, now that he's
00:57:58comfortable, um, sending that,
00:58:01all the, all the videos start
00:58:02coming through.
00:58:04I mean, Jesus Christ.
00:58:07Yeah, fucking hell.
00:58:09Um, I mean, I can deduce from
00:58:10the conversation on there that
00:58:12they're going to, the videos
00:58:13just get worse.
00:58:14Well, you can see it already,
00:58:15can't you?
00:58:16Yeah.
00:58:16He, he was obsessed with a
00:58:19young girl character in The
00:58:21Walking Dead, um, absolutely
00:58:22obsessed with her.
00:58:24And the conversations that he
00:58:26was having online, a lot of it
00:58:29were around paedophilia, um, and
00:58:31child and indecent images.
00:58:34The internet's a huge thing, and
00:58:36going into the corner of it to
00:58:38speak to like-minded people, a
00:58:42lot of it, normal people aren't
00:58:44going to be searching for, but if
00:58:48you want something, you'll find
00:58:49it.
00:58:50Um, and that's, that's what he
00:58:52did.
00:58:57He sees that search is on Friday
00:58:59the 13th.
00:59:00Oh, yeah.
00:59:01And what happens on Friday the 13th.
00:59:03Over and over again.
00:59:05So, I think it's pre-chosen this
00:59:07day.
00:59:08Yeah.
00:59:08Because it is like, what will
00:59:10happen on this day?
00:59:11Why is Friday the 13th cursed?
00:59:13Why is it bad?
00:59:14Like, it's obsessive over that one
00:59:16day.
00:59:17So, it's, it's not just pre-planning
00:59:19that he's going to do it something in
00:59:21time.
00:59:21But I think it's pre-planning to do
00:59:23it on that day.
00:59:25Yeah.
00:59:26Sounds like it.
00:59:27Do you know, mate?
00:59:28That's, uh, quite sinister, isn't it?
00:59:29That's, um...
00:59:30You know these gore sites I've been
00:59:37saying he's been looking at?
00:59:38Um, I've done a little bit more work
00:59:41around those, um, and I've looked
00:59:44at the usernames that he's set up
00:59:45and the email addresses, and he's
00:59:47actually got them in the names of
00:59:48serial killers and mass school
00:59:50shooters.
00:59:51What's also been bothering me, I
00:59:53think there's a pattern here.
00:59:55And call me crazy, but he had a
00:59:59hundred cartridges.
01:00:01He had 35 on him when he was
01:00:03arrested.
01:00:04So, why didn't he take a hundred
01:00:06cartridges?
01:00:06The Virginia Tech University
01:00:10massacre in America in April 2007
01:00:13killed 33 people, including the
01:00:20shooter.
01:00:21That is the highest death toll in
01:00:23America for a school spree shooting
01:00:25ever.
01:00:28So, the thing I was trying to work
01:00:31out is, is that 35 cartridges
01:00:34is significant.
01:00:36Significant, yeah.
01:00:37Basically, it's not random that he
01:00:40had that amount of cartridges.
01:00:41No, I don't think it's, I don't think
01:00:43it's random at all.
01:00:44He's chosen that number for a reason,
01:00:46because killing, if all 35 of those
01:00:51cartridges take a victim, plus his
01:00:57his family, that would bring the total
01:01:01number to 38, which is more than the
01:01:06deadliest American mass shooting, and
01:01:09more than twice as high as the highest
01:01:11death count in the UK.
01:01:13The offender was a local
01:01:30Lutonian, whose intention was to kill
01:01:33local people.
01:01:34Have you sold a shotgun recently?
01:01:39He made his plans in great detail.
