Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw with an update about e-bikes and scooters.
Transcript
00:00Clive Gunshaw Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire. Just wanted to give a message about
00:05e-bikes and scooters, the illegal use of them in Lancashire. We've got a great team up and running
00:12at the moment that is taking them off the streets. Delighted that we've taken 750 this year alone,
00:20illegal bikes and scooters off the streets of Lancashire and had them scrapped. It's a message
00:27really for young people and for the parents. Not to buy these e-bikes and scooters, not to use them
00:34illegally because there are serious consequences. If you do so we will seek to take them off you and
00:42to scrap them but also for young people the DVLA can hold the points against you so even in the future
00:52when you apply for a driving license those points can be implemented and you can have those points
00:59on your license or even banned from driving. So it's really important don't do something that is stupid
01:07and illegal, don't use e-bikes and scooters, don't endanger the people of Lancashire on our streets
01:15and pavements and keep the streets of Lancashire safe.
