00:00Okay, so tell me a bit about the burger first of all. Tell me where the idea came from.
00:04Burger and Sauce, man. I had a song called Burger and Sauce.
00:08I thought, you know what, what better way to promote it than make an actual burger, and here we are.
00:12Has it always sort of been your thing to create something like this?
00:16Like a burger or something that people can eat based on your lyrics?
00:20Yeah, something that I can share people with, you know what I'm saying? Sharing music's one thing, but sharing food's another thing, you know what I'm saying?
00:24Then they go hand in hand. You feel good about music, you feel good about food.
00:27Two things that people love to escape with, so why not bring them both together?
00:31And where did the idea of the Reaper Sauce come from? Was that just the name, the brand, and thinking, I could have a bit of fun with this?
00:36Name the brand and the flavour by Jeevan himself, you know what I'm saying?
00:39That's it, yeah.
00:40Jeevan, tell me a bit about your involvement in this. I'm guessing you and Reaper go back a bit?
00:43Yeah, we do, yeah. So we've been friends for many years. We grew up with the same type of music and stuff like that.
00:49And it was just like a discussion that we had with each other, because we both worked with the youths in the past.
00:53We always like to give back. So we thought, what a better way to collab together. I'm in the food industry, he's in the music industry.
00:59And it was a no-brainer, really.
01:00It's a dream collaboration, isn't it?
01:02It is, it is, yeah.
01:03And the idea of the spicy burger, is that reflective of your taste as well?
01:07Come on, a bit of me in it, spicy boy in it, you know what I'm saying?
01:09So, reflective of the taste, we like a bit of kick. We come from a Caribbean background, you know what I'm saying?
01:13So we like a bit of spice in the food. It's not exactly scotch bonnet levels, but there is a bit of a kick in there.
01:18And, as you've said before, everything that comes from this, the burger costs £5.
01:22Yep.
01:23And every penny of it is going towards the way youth service.
01:24The way youths only in Wolverhampton, and that's what it's about at the end of the day, give back.
01:27Give back to the community, give back to the youth, you know what I'm saying?
01:30Yeah.
01:31And nobody better than Jeevan here at Nemo's Chip Shop to do that.
01:33Is that part of your philosophy as well, Jeevan?
01:34Is that part of your philosophy as well?
01:36Yeah, that's correct, yeah. Because we've always done stuff to give back to the community.
01:40We always thought, what a better way to do it this time, you know.
01:43Something a bit different, not many takeaways and stuff like that do stuff like this now.
01:47So we thought this would be the best way to approach it together.
01:50And what was it about the way that made you pick them?
01:53Holmanix, Wolverhampton, Central to Town. I grew up there, you know what I'm saying?
01:57I've done stuff with them. The youth systems need more funding as well, you know what I'm saying?
02:00We need more youth funding for the youth. There's nowhere to go, you know what I'm saying?
02:04And even when I was growing up, when I started to do the youth council, I used to be the head boy for Wolverhampton.
02:09So, for me, the youth zone was actually an idea at the time. And to see it actually there now.
02:15I thought, what a better way to give back to them, especially.
02:18And just to do your little bit, and even if it's just through a food form, just to do your little bit to, well, inspire young people.
02:24That's it man.
02:25Exactly.
02:26Okay, so this is the Reaper burger with the Reaper sauce.
02:31I've been told that it is two spicy chicken breasts and the Reaper sauce, which could be hot, we'll soon find out.
02:38I'll be the judge of that. So, let's give it a quick taste test and see what happens.
02:43That's really good, really well-cooked tender chicken. There's a nice bit of heat to it. That sauce has got a nice kick to it. It's not too hot. For me, it's actually quite pleasant.
03:02And I'll just bring Reaper in to have a quick chat about that.
03:06What are you thinking?
03:07I think it's pretty good, to be fair. I'm guessing you're not going to give away the secret of this.
03:11Ah, did we give it away, Jeevan?
03:13It's just got a kick. That's all you need to know.
03:15That's all you need to know. The man says it here.
03:17That's all you need to know. Reaper sauce. Come and grab the Reaper burger.
03:20Fire the burger. Support the youth. Big up James.
03:23That's what he said.
